    Default EleoMod's PokeAttack Game

    EleoMod's PokeAttack Game

This game is based on Pokemon BrainStrain. However, it has some differences. To play this game, you are given the name of a Pokemon, but only the last letter(unlike Pokemon BrainStrain). You are not given the number of letters in the Pokemon's name though, so to figure a puzzle out, you have to use a bit of logic. Basically, you have to guess Pokemon names that end with the same letter as the one being done (unlike in Pokemon Hangman and like Pokemon BrainStrain, you cannot guess letters, you have to find at least one more of their positions through the guesses made, besides the last letter). The thing is, each time a guess is made, the one whose turn it is has to indicate how many letters the guess has in common with the Pokemon being done, if any (aka the same letter(s) in the same place(s) the guess has with the correct Pokemon, for example, if the Pokemon is Pikachu, and someone guesses Pichu, you'd post Pi*chu, where the asterisk represents at least one letter (hence why the asterisk is on the start or in place of the missing letters when applicable). If someone correctly guesses the Pokemon, they will win a figurine (or*plushie instead if asked for) of the Pokemon, and can now make their own logic Pokemon puzzle for everyone else to figure out.

When you are guessing the name of a Pokemon on anyone else's turn, you must spell the Pokemon correctly in order to win a plushie of that Pokemon (or count as a*helping guess in Advanced mode.) Example of this rule in action: Let's say someone guessed "Picachu" as their answer to a puzzle, and then another person afterword guesses "Pikachu", if the puzzle is indeed Pikachu, the person who posted second would get the plushie, since the first person spelt it wrong. So please try and avoid making this mistake every time you guess a Pokemon. In Advanced mode, if the amount of guesses is low, a helping guess for the Pokemon that is spelled incorrectly will unfortunately cause the game to be over if there is only 1 guess remaining, so be careful about this.

There is an Advanced mode of this game(if the puzzle host chose to start with these rules.)*In Advanced mode, you are allowed a maximum of Six non-helping guesses before it's Game Over, not per person, that includes everyone's incorrect guesses. Usually people guess the name before the six non-helping guesses so don't worry. If no one guesses the Pokemon correctly by the quota then no one receives a figurine or plushie, and one of the workers will do the next puzzle. You don't get two turns in a row at it. You may only post one guess until the person posts an update of the current Pokemon.

Try and not be too idle, the workers would like the game to be fast moving. If you guess the Pokemon correctly and then you're going to be away for 2 weeks then don't wait until you get back because you'll most likely forget about the game. Give someone else a turn.

    1. Games need to be Mod-approved.

    2. Double-posting is against the rules.

Games don't need to be mod-approved anymore. That change was made before the forum name was changed. Before scolding someone for not following the rules, make sure you know them yourself. It's not like you're very good at following them.

Anyway, this game looks like a copy of BrainStrain. If you want people to play your game, you'll have to come up with something more original.
