Default All Fanficcers Alert (especially writers): you can now change your thread titles!

Just edit the title of the first post of your thread, and it will automatically change the thread title.

So, the Fanfic Update topic is no longer needed. Just edit your thread title to show when the last update was. We think that this is an easier and better system, becuase it saves us from searching through the update topic to find out whether a fic has been updated or not. Unfortunately, the fic advertising in the updates topic will no longer continue.

Secondly, the Fic Name Changing Topic is no longer needed, since you can all change them by yourselves now.

    Have fun!

P.S. Thanks to Damian Silverblade for having the talk with the admin that made this happen. And thanks to Suzie too.

The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
    A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.

Awesome! ...Hey, wait a second... I thought they couldn't do that without changing the settings for all of TPM! Did they find a way to get around that?

Oh joy! While the Update Thread was good for advertising, making up summaries for upcoming chapters was always a pain. Not to mention I have an stigma for spoiling unintentionally, and gave off the chapter's makeup in the post...

I'm glad it's over! I remember it was great back in the days, and I'm glad they found a way. Props to the Admins!

Actually, Chris was QUITE right on what he was saying - the VB system MUST have a time limit for posts, set in minutes. There's no way around it, it won't allow you to edit your posts forever.

The thing he did not consider, which is much simpler, is that in effect, an absurdly high time limit (something like 999999999 minutes, which is about what Suzie set it too, I'm told) is just as good as no time limit at all. (999 999 999 minutes translate to nearly two thousand years ; I think most of us won't be needing to edit topic titles anymore in 4004 AD)

Are you serious, 999 999 999 minutes is 2000 years??? hmm.. food for thought.

Anyway, kudos to the admins for givin us this back. Now I just dont know why I didn't think of it myself to ask lol

Well, a bit under that. More like 1900 years than 2000.

Only 1900 years? Well, that could make all the difference. We could be DESTROYED!

    I'm sorry, too much sarcasm...
