ChristMisc Thread 2011 (Magmar demands you sign up for Secret Santa)

Righteous brothers! Despite what I claimed in the newsletter, I'll be jumping on board to spearhead the miscellaneous Christmas fun.

So what we've got for you here is a sort of ultimate clusterfun of a thread, and just as the tidings of Christmas are bountiful, so to is the selection of things for you to do for your miscellaneous Christmas.

The first is the glorious miscellaneous secret Santa. Here's where you sign up to make someone's Christmas magical. For those of you unfamiliar, once sign-ups close, you'll receive a PM telling you who you have to 'Santa' for. Sign-ups will close shortly before Christmas, and you're to give them a gift of any sort. Prose, a picture, a few delightful links you found, whatever. All you have to do is make a new thread in miscellaneous stating that it's your secret Santa for that person. As I'm sure you have better things to do this Christmas than be on TPM, there will be a three-day window to post your Santa, from December 24th to 26th. Remember, your recipient is SECRET, so until you make that thread, no telling!!

If that falls flat on its ass, we've also got a cop-out option; this thread is also the official misc Christmas tree! See the pretty lights? See the lovely ornaments? All it needs is a few presents. So over the Christmas period, this thread is also the place for you to leave gifts for whoever. It's like secret Santa, but not as much fun. And if nobody signs up for Santa, I'll probably panic and change the rules for only santas to participate. I dunno. We'll see.

And finally, this is also a thread just for any fool to chat Christmas if they'd like. You don't have to, but I worked really hard on this thread. So talk Christmas!!

OK, I have a question for everyone, to ignite some discussion:

So, what do you think was your best Christmas ever? Mine was in 2010, if I had to pick one.

I spent the whole day in the club house Mielikkitalo, and got to play games and have all sorts of fun with my friends. Especially I want to remember one girl, she was dressed up so wonderfully and stuff. My Christmas presents weren't disappointments either, for instance Super Mario All Stars Collector's Pack for Wii. 2010 was also my first Christmas in TPM ASB.

A Christmas thread? How can I resist?

Every Christmas I am reminded of a certain Christmas song... It doesn't have too deep a meaning, but it reminds me of a man I admired... A man whose only goal in life was to make people laugh...

A cartoonist who I now miss with every fiber of my being...

Tomorrow marks one week until Christmas... as such, Santa sign-ups will (probably) close tomorrow! That should give y'all enough time to prepare your meticulously-crafted gifts.

If it so takes your fancy, don't forget that this is also the thread where you can talk about Christmas! Me personally, I don't give a rat's ass about Christmas anymore. The magic was lost with the end of my childhood. Hopefully when I have kids of my own, I'll be able to live vicariously through them.

Otherwise, remember to post a new thread in misc with your present on December 24th-26th, so your recipient can get it in a timely fashion! We don't want any lollygaggers this year, nosirree!

PS. I was so tempted to rig it so that DL didn't get a present. That would have been pretty funny.
