Dragon Tamer's Tournament - Sign Ups!

Welcome all, this is the Dragon* Tamer's Tournament! This should've been posted up a long time ago, but I forgot.

Anyway, we're gonna need a certain amount of volunteers to battle it out with their dragons to earn the most coveted prize. There will be no entry fee this time, and thus, no prize pot.

However, whoever wins will earn themselves a shiny new dragon pokémon -- Dratini, Bagon, Gible, or Deino! But that's not all, each of these pokémon have been tutored a super secret super special Move Tutor move that'll be sure to make your friends jealous!

*Dragon is defined as any Dragon-type pokémon, as well as any pokémon that you can argue is "dragon enough", like Charizard, Gyarados, Lapras, Aerodactyl, Feraligatr, Sceptile, etc.

The rules will come up once we get a satisfactory number of sign-ups!

The RULES!

• Each trainer will be able to sign up with one dragon-type or dragon-like pokémon. If you're not sure your pokémon is dragon enough, post it and let the mods decide.
• Once you've chosen your pokémon, it is locked in and you can't substitute.
• You'll only be able to use three super-effective attacks per battle, so choose them wisely.
• Standard DQ time for each match is 7 days.

Well, she can't use Reshiram yet, and unless her journey ends in the next few days, she might not be able to use it at all.

I suppose she could try and use Giratina though. But then I'd be tempted to enter with Palkia.

Cynder is literally two posts (or three at the absolute most) away from finishing her Adventcha, so she definitely has the potential to enter on time. I don't think BTPoke's will be finished in time, though.

While we're on the subject of Legends... is Kyogre a viable option for this tournament? (It is based off of Leviathan, which is basically a Gyarados/Dragonair hybrid with a chip on its shoulder.) Not that Kyogre is as scary of a Legend as Reshiram or Latios, though, since its movepool isn't much more versatile than a Staryu's.

EDIT: Also, since I'm checking anyway... do Kecleon and Nidoking qualify? Might as well ask.

No on Kecleon and Nidoking, but Kyogre (and Groudon, Den) could work. Depends on how DL feels.

Hey, no offense, I have nothing against a Dragon tournament, but... did you have to give it the same name as the main AC/CC game, which has been going on for over 11 years? (OK, almost the same name, this one has an apostrophe, but it sounds the same.)

Since the tournament title is just referencing the Trainer class from the games, it seems pretty fair to use.

Anyway, I think I'm going to save Seascape for a rainy day. Instead, I'm going to register with Dame Thistlebottom, my female Druddigon with Rough Skin.

EDIT: Omg, unintentional pun. Rainy day. It's a Kyogre. Its ability is Drizzle. Hurr hurr hurr.
