Battle Tower woes. :( (help?)

I've kinda been reading the forum for a while and finally found myself with something to say... well, kinda complain about, really, but hey.

I just lost in the Battle Tower after 81 straight wins. Why? 'cause I'm stupid. Suffice it to say that Earthquake does much less to flying creatures than Rock Slide does. Stupid distractions.

Anyway, this is my current team:

Heracross (Swarm) with Megahorn, Brick Break, Reversal, and Endure.
Relicanth (Rock Head) with Double Edge, Earthquake, Rock Slide, and Rest.
Magneton (Sturdy) with Thunderbolt, Thunder Wave, Double Team, and Toxic.

The only two real problems I've had are Blazikens (which Relicanth actually deals with surprisingly well) and Salamences that go faster than Heracross. Keeping in mind that this is strictly for the battle tower and not for head-to-head play (read: hazers, etc. are much less necessary), what can I do to fix the team? My first thought was to replace Relicanth with a Starmie to get rid of the Ground/Fighting weaknesses it shares with Magneton. Thing is, that would leave me without anything to deal with Shedinjas. Granted, they don't show up that often, but I don't want a run of 50+ to end to one that happens to come out of nowhere.

The only one of the three I'm set on keeping is the Heracross. I'd even be willing to give it more of a total sweeper moveset (Megahorn, Brick Break, Earthquake, Bulk Up) if it comes to it. I'm just sick of getting this far only to lose to something stupid.

Note: I WILL NOT use Lati@s or Regiwhatever on my Battle Tower team. I'm loathe to even use Salamence or Metagross. I'm just like that.

id go regice/blaziken/latios-as... alot of staying power, and its fun, you can use all 3... and i won over 100 got the gold shield on my first try with those 3... i know its awfully special based... but it worked, heh... so i would just reccomend using powerhouse legendaries for in-game problems, ... there not restricted there, etc. so good luck, but since you dont want to, i would reccomend slaking... hes very good in the battle tower, although it slows things down he does very well... milotic also... i dont see why you should have too much of a problem with what your using though, i would just give it another shot, seems very well...

well mmmm... im just started the game so my pokemon r on lv50(still training the alazam tho)
