This continues until the first team have 5 wins. Draws count as 0, so the match may go more than 9 combatants each. Pokemon that are recalled may not be used again in the gym.

Doing so grants that pokemon the benefit and drawback of Ingrain, and when that pokemon is defeated, the root retracts. Weather effecting moves will automatically fail to work, due to the fire suppression system, and abilities that affect the weather have no effect (eg: air lock and cloud nine).

    Gym specials:

    Fire suppression system, Ingrain bonuses (see above), Tournament style battle

    Fire suppression system: A system implanted to protect the gardens. Has 6 settings. Starts at 0 (default).

    0. No change. Battle acts as normal. The level of sun in this stage is equivalent to ‘Sunny day’.

    1. Rain effect. Battle field under effect of Rain dance/Rain conditions.

    2. Mist effect. Covers entire battle field.

    3. Haze effect. Covers entire battle field.

    4. Fog effect. Covers entire battle field in a thick layer of fog. Reduces accuracy by 50%.

    5. Heavy Rain. Fire, ground and rock types take damage per turn. Solar beam takes an extra round to charge. Doubles the effect of Hydration, Water Dish, Swift Swim, and Dry skin. If thunder is used, its chance of being protected or Detected goes from 30% to 15%.

    As stated above, weather moves, or abilities cannot be used, and attempting to use Defog during stages 2-4 will not removed the effect.

    The system is activated AFTER any fire type move is used, and will go up one level for each fire type move used. It will remain at the setting it peaks at for 5 rounds, before defaulting down one level. This means that the first fire type move will still hit for normal damage, but subsequent moves will not. NOTE: The level's of the system STACK, so at level 3, you are also affected by level 2 AND level 1.

    ===Round 1===

    Man, its been a hell of a break from reffing. Feels good to be back in thi...whoa.

    This place looks like crap. No one's been maintaining the garden, and now it looks like NYC in I Am Legend. Just overrun and unkempt roots breaking the ground apart, pathways shrouded by overgrowth. Even the Damsel of Disaster's throne is caked in vines. Interesting. But yet, there's a battle scheduled here today. Intense. Well, I guess I can get a machete and start ha--Oh wait. Underscore is here, and he's walking about. Guess he's ok with his surroundings.

    Oh and I'll be damned, There's Ayeun hackng through her own Gym, with Utrop closely following. She sniffles a minute, before shouting her orders-to Underscore's surprise. Underscore releases a Medicham to counter, and the battle begins. Both Pokemon are swift on the upswing, but Utrop asserts his dominance and manages to erect a shield of light as Medi flips over him, flexing as he does so.

    Ut: -4E SG: 2 rds ~~~ Me: -3E +Atk/Def

    The instant Medicham landed, Utrop dashed backwards, using his elbow to execute the slashing strike across Medicham's chest. Medicham coughed, the noxious gases erupting fro his mouth ....doing nothing but peeling away from Utrop's face, as it was adorned with a sly smirk.

    Ut: -5E ~~~ Me: -3E/-12H

    Stung from the first actual strike, Medicham whipped his arms backwards twice while prancing a half step back, before dashing to give Utrop a sizeable punch to jolt his system. Seeing the incoming fighter, Utrop waited until the swing was in full motion before grasping Medi by his wrist and ducking under the offending punch. Medi was unable to adjust his trajectory, and wound up missing Utrop completely.

    Ut: -7E ~~~ Me: -5E

    ===Round 2===

    This looks like a recipe for disaster, but ehy, in this embattled Gym, anything can happen. Utropolis still has the jump on Medicham speed wise, and as such, dashes in for a second leaf slash that cuts like the wind. Medi snarls as he steps back, feeling the sting. To ensure that never happens again, he erects himself a barrier to block those foolish strikes.

    Ut: -5E ~~~ Me: -4E/-12H Rfl: 3 rds

    Utrop missed the shield creation, and spun on her left foot to come around for another pass. Lunging under some overgrown roots and leaping over what used to be a pretty pond, the grass demon lunged at the fighter-claws out at the ready. Medicham was ready, a sharp chill running through his arm as he aimed low. While Utrop's slash cut across Medi's face, Medi's fist went low, striking the inside leg with an immense force. Utrop went up and over its own body as Medi completed the uppercut! Landing on her back, Utrop snarled and rolled into the bushes. Medi tried to follow, but realized how futile it would be to get entangled in this creatures home...

    Ut: -6E/-20H ~~~ Me: -5E/-4H

    Medi looked around, and for a moment, he though he caught sight of those familiar bulbs on Utrop's back. As he made his way closer to them, they didn't move, but he heard shuffling of dried leaves behind him. Whirling around, he spied nothing.

    Leaving nothing to chance, he readied his next attack, and let his mental prowess feel out the playing field. It wasn't long before his brain alarm went off and he whirled around to face a pouncing Sceptile with its own fist reared back. Medi punched instinctively, and the fists connected. But it was a blowout, as Medi's Punch slammed Utrop backwards with an immense force.

    ===Round 3===

    Utrop keeps the pace going, gunning for Medi with everything in her arsenal. Discontented with how her strikes seemed to be hampered, Utrop takes the time to obliterate the shielding surrounding the Psyfighter. Medi growls and lashes out, using his hand as a fulcrum to support his weight, all while sweeping Utrop off of his feet. The agile lizard stumbles, but quickly regains her footing, in order to finish the punch that would shatter the Reflect into tiny shards of uselessness.

    Ut: -6E/-13H ~~~ Me: -5E/-6H

    Cursing the resourcefulness of the Sceptile, Medicham spun back on his feet and prepared himself to square off against it. Utrop kicked off a thick set of branches and again went for an Aerial strike. His leafy elbow blazed across Medi's chest, but it left his back wide open for a Poison Jab. Utrop let out a curdling cry and rolled to the side, showing a lapse in speed for the first time this match. That was more painful than immediately realized.

    Ut: -5E/-20H (Psn) ~~~ Me: -6E/-14H

    Feeling sick all of a sudden, that forced Utrop to try even harder. The renewed ferocity in this fighter was astounding to Medicham. He tried to back away, but she was relentless! Another Aerial fury was bestowed upon Medicham, and he could do was block in order to deter some damage to his body. His opening came for a split second, and he took full advantage. One punch landed right on her jaw, and Utrop's head turned just enough to she couldn't see the leaching effect it had.

    But she felt it! Ohh and she didn't like that at all.

    Wouldn't matter, Unburden raised it back up. Sceptile is leagues faster than Medi, that would not have helped much at all..

    Gym Battle: Secret Garden #1 2015

    ===Stipulations/Changes===

    Secret Garden!

    Arena:

    A secluded Chinese style garden, equipped with a pond, pagoda, bridges and rock paths.
    Battle style:
    Tournament style, Best out of 3 (subject to negotiation). Each team uses 1v1, and fight until one is defeated. The victor records a point, and both send out fresh combatants for the next round. This continues until the first team have 3 wins. Draws count as 0, so the match may go more than 9 combatants each. Pokemon that are recalled may not be used again in the gym.
    After a battler is defeated, the VICTOR sends first, followed by the DEFEATED, who also ATTACKS first, despite the battle order previously.
    Moves rules:
    Rest and Pain split may only be used ONCE during the entire battle (Not per pokemon)! The move Ingrain will not work in the garden, but there are 2 (and ONLY 2) Ingrain roots already established, that any pokemon may grab on to at the cost of one action.

    ===Round 4===

    Utrop cranes her neck to see her would be executioner starting his slow walk over. That miracle fist of his began to simmer and stew with ravenous soul sucking energies that made her sick to even look at. She looked up to the top of the arena, and began to shimmer-feeling light feed into her tail and her back. Medi was within 4 steps of her before she whirled around and released a fierce Solarbeam that caught the Medicham off guard! He didn't even have time to block as he was blasted on the spot. Once the beam passed, he threw everything he had into lunging forward and connecting with her. The jab hit and she backed up, feeling unconsciousness set in.

    Underscore takes the lead 1-0. But this is far from over.

    ===Round 5===

    With her speed fighter down, Ayeun looks to pure bulky mass to make up for it. One of the thickets began to rumble and up rose Frosty, awakened from all the fighting. Seeing his second fighter, Underscore grabs a second Pokeball, and releases a Pokemon that makes Ayeun hiss in the back of her mind. The Drapion clangs his two pincers together, and eyes the massive tree-carrying opponent. In one fell cry, the Gym begins to rupture alive as the ground rumbles. Roots snap and weakened foliage crashes all around Drapion. Instead of standing in fear,m he dances around them like a pro, slashing at the thicker ones that get a bit too close.

    Fr: -9E ~~~ Dr: -3E/-22H +2 Atk

    Pleased, Frosty gears to set her self up again. Drapion eyes this notion and screeches, catching Frosty off guard. A second, stronger cry was released from him, and that earworm began to bother the planimal So much so, that she completely was unable to do her attack. That sucks.

    Fr: >O Trm: 5 act~~~ Dr: -3E

    She grunted in anguish, but realized that now she could act. Well, that would e great an all, if this Drapion wouldn't have just slugged her in the face with its gooey claws! How does one even have gooey claws! She shook her head and spat out the globular mass, avoiding any concurrent sickness from that. She replied in kind with a second upheaval of land, now not having to worry about consecutive limitations placed on her.

    ===Round 6===

    Drapion felt that the pressure was all on him to try and salvage this poor start. The scorpion went on the offensive, jutting through thicket and brush before lunging for Frosty's tail Frosty looked on in horror as that little stub was bit down on, sending a massive chill throughout its snow covered landscapeshell. She bucked hard, delivering a mulekick that turned into a rear stomping on Drapion's left arm and back

    Fr: -10E/-24H -Atk/Def ~~~ Dr: -4E/-20H

    Seeing a opportunity here, Drapion rolled over and tried to look as adorable as possible. The sullen eyes and battered body did make for a good attempt at tugging heartstrings...and lo and behold, it worked. She was suckered into thinking he might have a heart for her. As such, she helped him back onto his feet, as anyone would do for her love.

    Fr: <3 (50)~~~ Dr: -3E

    Oh and now he's demonstrating PDA. A chilling kiss alright night...and yikes a little bitey there,m dontcha think? It was a painful showcase of another Ice Fang, but she didn't mind the chilling affection. Her heart swelled with feelings and they seemed to gush out...right under Drapion, blasting him skyward. It was true love-he was over the moon for her as she was for him!!

    Don't think he feels that way tho.

    Fr: -7E/-26H (40) ~~~ Dr: -5E/-18H

    Drapion crashed hard a few seconds later, barely having the energy to stand. But there still was a chance the infatuated beast may be a bit more careless.

    With such a head over heels affection for the beastie, how could you not run over to check on the status of him when he crashed to the ground. That's precisely what Frosty did, thrashing through thistle and barbs alike until she was by his side. The fear of being trampled was real and Drapion shielded himself in a cloud of energy, all the while biding his jaws. When she stepped in close enough, those fangs sank into that leg-right a the joint- and gave her a second trempor of cold. This time, the gaze of love faded, and she glared daggers at him.

    Fr: -30H (28) ~~~ Dr: -4E

    Those teeth didn't seem to let go immediately, and she shook his body around to drive the point home. Before she knew it, Frosty was teetering over, feeling the effects of hypothermia set in.

    Underscore: She updated her Gym parameters a while back, I wasn't sure if the 5 or the 3 were part of that update?

    Gym Battle: Secret Garden #1 2015

    ===Stipulations/Changes===

    ===Round 8===

    Two down. Ayeun still remains steadfast in her approach and decides to release another heavy hitter. This one comes out from a previously hidden area of her Gym. Showered in snow and patches of grass peering all over its hide, the massive Abomasnow lurches forward, eager to stretch its legs after so long. A perplexed look comes over Underscore's face, before he chooses his Ambipon to join the fray.

    Underscore glaces around, but notices that there's no hail. Ampibom doesn't and merely runs up to the Grass Yeti and punches him in the gut. Hard. Obama retaliates with a chilly blast that does bother the simian.

    Ob: -3E/-10H ~~~ Am: -5E/-6H +Atk, -Spd

    Fur sanding up on end, Ambipom tries to clear some space, and slaps both tail-ends on the ground. This vaults him skyward, right as a Focus Blast goes ripping at the spot where he stood. Snarling, Obama stares up at the now flying lemur..

    Ob: -10E ~~~ Am: -4E

    Who was now coming down with extreme prejudice. Impressed at his turnaround time, Obama merely stood his ground and raised both hands up, creating a verdant energy siphon. Bi slammed into the midst of the energy crux and while both tails found their mark on the shoulders of the jolly green giant, that Ball burst free and sent the ape sailing back into a decrepit pile of thorns.

    Ob: -7E/-15H ~~~ Am: 6E/-11H

    ===Round 9===

    Obama does not seem to be deterred with the lack of immediate ferocity from the Ambipom over there. He slowly plods toward the thorn laden individual, whe n suddenly, 5 of them appear. They all are covered in thorns. That proves to be a moot point, as Obama squats. His squat forces a plume of air to circulate out and eradicate the existence of these clones while giving him a slight chill.

    Ob: -3E ~~~ Am: -4E/-3H -Spd

    Well that was a waste. Ambipom decides to turn trick and goes for a dual tail sweep. It kinda works, as Obama was already low to the ground. The massive beast falls on his rump, none the worse for wear. But Ambi was now in perfect range. As fast as that simian was, that Ice Beam covered the distance mighty fast and crashed into his back Ambi fall on his face, and struggled to get up.

    Ob: -7E/-16H ~~~ Am: -5E/-12H

    Hopping back on his feet, Obama watched as the monkey flipped onto his feet, whirled around, and used those tails to handstandthrow itself at his face. Nimbly body swatted Obama a few times before backflipping awa--and being downed by another Ice Beam. Man, It must be the speed differential...cause Ambipom is looking slow out there.

    ===Round 10===

    Obama has a great challenger here. Feeling enthralled by the onset of such a fine battler, he immediately thrusts his hands forward and wells up a huge sphere of energy. It swells almost instantaneously-and Ambi steps back, fearful. The blast erupts forth and it takes all Ambi can conjure in order to deflect that massive outburst.

    Ob: -10E ~~~ Am: -12E

    A little fatigued from blocking that massive attack, Ambipom makes sure to get the next strike quickly. Obama lurches back on one foot, but the simian takes three steps in that time, and manages to slam his tails into the frosty front of the fighter. Both tails were slathered in a poisonous lather-which washed over the visible slash marks, seeping in. As fast as he came in for his strike, Ambi bounced backwards, standing next to his trainer...

    Only to realize that the striking blow was not without retaliation. Obama plodded forth and slammed his icy fist right into Ambi's head, forcing him to fall backwards.

    Ob: -4E/-32H Psn ~~~ Am: -15E/-8H

    Feeling queasy, Obama knew he had limited time to make short work of this nimble foe. As Ambi held his head, he felt a chill blow by his fur. His knees knocked, and his skin attained goosebumps under the fur. This wasn't the best time to feel numb...

    Ob: -3E ~~~ Am: -6H -Spd

    The poison said hello.. (-3)
