A question about Victory Dragon

Victory Dragon is found in Kaiba's Limited Addition pack 5 and says this:
LE5-010
VICTORY DRAGON
Dark/Dragon/8/2400/3000
This card can't be Special Summoned. You must sacrifice 3 Dragon
Sub-Type Monsters on your Field to Sacrifice Summon this card.
If this card reduces your opponent's Life Points to 0 in a direct
attack, this card's controller wins the match.

But surely if you reduce your opponents life points to zero you win anyway. Can someone clear this up. (Translation from Edo's)

i got this while searching the internet for victory dragon...

"Winning the match is more than just winning the duel, if a tournament round is best 2 out of 3 you would win the whole round."

i belive it is based on the consept of Game - Set - Match

Wergoheb's right. Victory Dragon's not that good of a card tho. There's better cards from Kaiba LE5, like Clone Duplication
