Viewtiful Joe Nominated For BAFTA

Capcom announced today that their newly released, highly acclaimed, 2D cel-shaded beat em' up GameCube exclusive game has been nominated for three awards from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Games Awards, otherwise known as BAFTA.

It has been nominated for Best Design, Best Intro/Animation, and Best GameCube game.

"We're immensely proud to have been nominated for three BAFTA Games Awards," said Ben Le Rougetel, senior PR manager at Capcom Entertainment Europe. "Ever since it was announced, Viewtiful Joe has stood out as a quality title, offering something completely different from the me-too games so often forced on the public. We're grateful to BAFTA and its panel of judges for considering Viewtiful Joe as examples of the best in design and animation. It's good to have our opinions--and those of the public--validated by such an esteemed group of individuals."

Winners of BAFTA will be announced in February 2004!

This is pretty cool, Viewtiful Joe certainly deserves any reward it gets.

Well it's a nice original game, It deserves a LOT of awards IMHO.

It's just such an amazing game, people say it's over-rated but it's not at all.
I personally think every GCN owner should have this game.
