Ice Berg
A huge ice burg in the middle of a large lake, 300 feet by 300 feet, with huge icicles poking upward all around except for a relitivly rough part in the middle with no icicles. The cycles are tough, but breakable. The glacier is in constant movement, moving back and fourth like a boat. Ice cold winds blows, sending shivers down all by the toughest Pokemon or Ice, Fire, or Steel Pokemon. The waves can be heard crashing against the Glacier. Becarful, you never know when their will be flurries, or worse, a full fledged Blizzard caused by the Ice god herself, Articuno.

Every turn, 2% damage to all non-Steel, Fire, or Ice pokemon.
Every turn 6% damage to Grass, Dragon or Flying Pokemon.
Blizzard and flurries may pop up at the refs whims.

Okay Nidoking, start out with a nice little Confusion of your own, in a battle of Psychics.

As he is doing Icy Wind, thrown in your own Blizzard , to see if he can deal with that.

Finally, with the Water Gun, use Thunder on yourself, as he is water gunning you. You shouldn't be hurt by the Thunder, gut he should get hit very hard by it once the Water from his move hits you... >-)

one quick question b4 I start reffin, by those dmg amounts every turn, do you mean whenever I decide a blizzard comes though? or is it just cause of the cold that the dmg is delt...

If a blizzard comes through, the damage will be even greater, that is just normal, every turn damage.

Pre-Battle

*shivers* I don't remember why I decided to come out here, and amazingly enough there are two trainers in need of a ref out here! Salvester2, a well known trainer, sends out his male Nidoking to challenge the other trainer. Killer Tai would be the challenger, releasing his male Squirtle into the cold arena to accept his challenge. I explain the rules to both battlers, and the fight begins!

Arena: Tip top shape

Round One

Both pokemon stand off and at the same time, their eyes turn deep purple, sending psychic waves at one another. The waves clash mid way and send visable purple sparks thoughout the arena, some of it snapping near by ice from the glaciers, and icicles in the arena. The intensity of the clash sends Nidoking sliding back, trying to keep from falling off, and Squirtle flying, barely holding onto the edge. Squirtle leaps back up and fires an Icy Wind at the now distant Nidoking. Nidoking decides to intensify the wind by creating a Blizzard! They clash, creating a Nore-Easter over the arena!(A Nore-Easter is a storm we get in new england, basicly a blizzard, but in the form of a hurricane, less powerful, but all that ice and snow really takes stuff out. To put it in perspective, school will close the day before a Nore-Easter is set to hit XD.) It shoots snow and ice, winds blowing hard at both pokemon! Lastly, Squirtle trys to use his Water Gun, but the water freezes as soon as it comes out of his mouth cause of the storm. Nidoking does what he's told and hit himself with Thunder, dealing damage to himself, and none to Squirtle since the water never hit.

Start out with an Ice Beam through the middle of the "Nore Easter", that should power it up.

Right after that fire and Flamethrower at the Squirtl, the quick change in temp should make it espeicialy hard on him.

Finally, use Sandstorm, make it really bad out here. I brought a jacket >-)

Round Two

Finally, the next round continues as killer tai has made his decision on his actions for this round! Nidoking breaths in the friggid air, and fires a blue electric beam into the center of the Nore-Easter, making it even stronger! It's now increased to the intensity of the legendary "Perfect Storm" that hit the northeast in the 80's(good movie). Squirtle, a little frozen, but still able to move, consentrates, his eyes turning blue, and uses confusion on Nidoking, who's hit hard for his type is weak to the psychic attack! Nidoking takes another breath, and fires a small flame out, which barely hits Squirtle since most of it disapated in the cold air. Squirtle takes a breath of the cold air, and fires a very cold hydro pump at Nidoking, soaking him, and giving him hypothermia. Nidoking, using the already strong winds, makes them even stronger, picking anything from sand to meduim sized rocks, intensifying the storm even further! Squirtle adds his own touch now, firing his blue electric ice beam at Nidoking, freezing him solid! The Massive storm has now attracted the god of ice, Articuno!! Who fires a Blizzard/Ice Beam combination, and creates tornatos and hurricane force winds which sends Squirtle flying, and Nidoking stays in place since he's frozen.

Okay, you are froven stiff, but lets use it our favor....as a defence.

First use Confusion to keep Squirtal flying through the air and off the side.

If he flies off, summon an Icy Wind from where he feel to keep him their, and if he doesn't fall, heck use another icy wind.

Finally, use another Confusion on him.


If you find you cannot use those moves, use a low level flamethrower to keep your body temp up.

Round Three

It's pure chaos out there! I've teleported myself to a spot above the storm where I can still see the fight in progress. Nidoking isn't about to let his frozen state be the best of him, plus now that he has this shell, he's protected from the storm's wrath for a bit, He consentrates, eyes turning deep blue, throwing Squirtle into the winds of the storm. Not knowing what to do since he hasn't landed anywhere yet, Squirtle just sits for the ride. Nidoking again trys to keep Squirtle in the air, but find he can't move, so he melts the ice a bit and keeps himself warm with a small flamethorwer. Squirtle, now on land, fires a bubbly water beam towards Nidoking, but like water gun, it freezes in mid air, crashing to the ground. Squirtle then trys a more practicle move and slams his body into the ice cube, huting Squirtle, and not Nidoking, since he's still trapped. Nidoking Ends out this round by throwing Squirtle around a bit more with another confusion attack.

Round Four

This is insanity, this storm couldn't get any stronger, unless someone decides to try... Nidoking trys to unfreeze himself again with another flamethrower, just enough to melt the ice around him, but as soon as he's free, Squirtle unleashes a confusion attack on him, throwing him about. Nidoking isn't too happy and fires a shockwave of energy at Squrtle, Nidoking trailing not too far behind the electric attack. The waves amplify in the damp air, making it stronger as it approches. Squirtle is so frightened by this, all he can think to do is use Blizzard, making The Perfect Storm even stronger! The amped shockwave thwaps Squirtle like nothing, and now having to think fast, Squirtle fires an Ice Beam at Nidoking, halting his assult. This round ends, and things don't look good for Squirtle.

Round Five

Looks like neither pokemon will last though this... Nidoking quickly Digs into the icy ground, trying to outrun the perfect storm, but since he has hypothermia, his condision doesn't help at all, and he is disqualified due to me not wanting the pokemon to die, I use a magic transporter and get him to a poke center. Squirtle isn't far behind as the storm takes it's toll, and with nothing to aim at, I send him as well in fear for his life. This round ends, who will the trainers choose to send into this evil storm.

Ok Skarmory skarmory start off with a steel wing and then turn arond quickly and hit him another steel wing before he goes underground then use sunny day too mess up the field and hopfully weaken the storm

Ok before I post Sal there's a conflict in your arena. Skamory is Steel/Flying - your dmg counters are: 2% to all non-steel, fire and ice. BUT 6% to Flying, Dragon, and Grass types. So which one does her get? or does he just get something in the middle, like 4%?

Round Six

Both trainers think carefully about what pokemon they'd like to send into this chaotic storm. Salvester2 sends out his pokeball and a huge Tyranitar appears on the feild, this should definetly become a challenge! Killer Tai sends his own pokeball, reveiling a stell winged bird, Skamory! The pokemon face off and start the last half of the match! Skamory takes quick flight, powerful enough to navagate though these winds, adding metal onto his wings to attack Tyranitar! Tyranitar acts quickly, firing a volt of electricity to Skamory, the energy amplifies though the moist air, nailing Skamory and quickly grounding his attack. Skamory gets up and trys again, taking off in low flight at Tyranitar, wings still at the ready. Tyranitar isn't to be found though? Skamory lands to locate his advisary, unknowing he's dug into a deep cave under the ice, protected from the storm. Skamory trys a diffrent approach to leading Tyranitar out from hiding by consentrating and calling on the sun. The clouds do move, to the eye of the storm, creating a momentary peace on the field, as the storm rages all around them. Tyranitar sees this and Roars in excitment, hoping to confuse Skamory. Skamory isn't confused, but very terrified of what sort of evil creature could have made such a sound.
