Cowboy Bebop- Just.. Pure.. Ownage.. 26 episodes though, but well damn worth it.
Thats my 2 cents. Take it or leave it.
My parents just got broadband at home, and since I no longer have the upload limits of my campus I can get some sweet torrents.
I'm getting back my precious Naruto collection, but what else is good?

Well, a lot of stuff is good, but what do you *like*?
Okay, i've got to remember what's still on torrents, amn, you've missed some good stuff.
Off the top of my head, the good stuff still on torrents is:
FulL Metal Panic? (Fumoffu)
Scrapped Princess
Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien
Matanei Loki Ragnarok
Chrno Crusade (yes, it's licensed, but we all know Anime One always has a way to get it done). Check the Anime One torrent for this absolute gem!
Maburaho (Elusive but either Anime4Life or AnimeForever were doing this the whole way through)
Paranoia Agent (Get it at all costs, it's the first and possibly only good thing of 2004 so far)
Gunslinger Girl (I didn't like it but some do, so try it. The concept alone is worth seeing)
Here's what you've missed out on due to recent licenses (but if you can find them by some miracle, get them):
Last Exile
Onegai Twins
Kino's Journey
Shingetsutan Tsukihime

I think he's already watched Cowboy Bebop...
No, maybe you should try out...
Paranoia Agent (I'm doubtful as to whether this suits your style. And you might not like it... I do highly recommend this in general, though. It is a well-executed, professional, brilliantly-thought out piece of work that excels even with a mostly stellar production cast. Please do read up about it and give it a try. It's not that long either; 8 out of 13 eps have been released so far by Anime-Kraze.)
Full Metal Alchemist (I'm not sure whether you can easily get these; now that it's licensed. Might as well. keh.)
Kenran Butoh Sai: The Mars Daybreak (This seems very slightly like Cowboy Bebop, but doesn't have such grand aims. It's just entertainment, but at least the animation is well done. Everything seems to be cliche, but somehow I can overlook that because it's all light-hearted, not serious in the least bit, and just something to relax and watch like Saturday morning cartoons... I keep comparing this to that o.o; Oh, but try avoiding the parts where they say what happened in the previous episode, or what happens in the next episode. THe pronounciation of "The Mars Daybreak" is just... atrocious. I understand the constraints, but they surely can make an effort. It's not so hard to pronounce it... "Za maazu deibureeku" doesn't really cut it.)
Monster (It's still not in the thick of the action, at episode 5. But this is planned to be 72 episodes long... I have read another manga by the creator (Urasawa Naoki) of the manga of this anime, 20th Century Boys. I think you would really like that manga, and I also strongly recommend it to anybody in general. It seriously IS WONDERFUL. I haven't read the Monster manga (this and the 20th Century Boys manga are scanslated online at mangascreener's site, it's a joint project by mangascreener and Band of the Hawks.), but I haven't heard anything bad about it (even from very critical people), and considering how incredibly incredibly impressive 20th Century Boys was, and how many people compare the two, I am sticking on with this to see how good it gets. I can already sense something good happening. Do try this out, I recommend this to you.)
I don't recommend you get Aishiteruze Baby, Kimi ga Nozomu Eien, Gunslinger Girl, Chrno Crusade, Tenjo Tenge, E's Otherwise, Saiyuki, Bakuretsu Tenshi, Tristia of the Deep BLue Sea and others just considering what I think are your preferences. The only way, of course ,is to try. A lot of people wouldn't have recommended some things to me, but because I try them out I discover I like them. Then again I really can't predict what kind of things I like...
Full Moon wo Sagashite
Scrapped Princess
Shingetsutan Tsukihime (who cares bout licensing)
Wolf's Rain (as well as the recent 27-30)
Dunno, what do u like?
Lolz~ Let Raz hav some breathing space guys and stop stuffing him with anime suggestions.
Raz if you wanna get animes, let me recommend you two links
http://www.animesuki.com
This is where you can get your unliscened animes. And for liscened stuffs,
http://anime.mircx.com
There~Hmm if you wanna get to know of those anime plots go here'
http://www.animenfo.com
Other than that, you can contact either Last Exile or Roarkiller. They would be glady help you to find the right kind of anime you would like to watch. Happy watching~
I highly do not recommend recommending Full Moon wo Sagashite to Raz.... if he actually does watch shows like that, I'll be utterly flabbergasted. Seriously. I'm not meaning FMwS is bad, but just because you like it doesn't mean he'd like it, and somehow Raz does not strike me as the kind of person who watches a show aimed at 12-year-old girls about a girl who wants to sing and gets throat cancer and all her emotional problems and so on.
I suggest you take Azura's advice uttermost, because apparently she's actually taken into consideration what anime YOU might actually like rather than only what she likes. Also, I just want to add in that animesuki is a great way to figure out some info on series as well; just goto the series section of animesuki, then click on the series. You'll have bittorrent links as well as links to other anime databases to look up the info.
I would add more, but Azura pretty much already covered everything that's out on bt and unlicensed.
EDIT: Actually I can add something. If you really just want action and almost nothing else, Ragnarok the Animation is a great show for that. Ok, it doesn't have a great plot line, but it does have more MMORPG action than Hack Sign.![]()

Any of u guys read the last line in my previous post?
So seriously, what does Raz like?
Btw, went to anime.mircx.com juz now, a HUGE buncha BTs for Naruto manga was put up.
I'm sure you've seen enough of his posts around the forums, and with your, uh, famed skills for reading deeply into things you see and your deep insights (or so you say, at least), you should be able to tell that he wouldn't like such an anime. Only if he turned out to be very, very different from what you perceive... Wasn't there a thread here about our favourite anime before, too?Originally Posted by Roarkiller
Oh well, we'll just wait for Raz to reply. Which episode of Naruto is he at anyway? I keep hearing that Naruto gets worse after the "Zabuza arc", whatever that is... and that the manga > anime, but yeah. I wouldn't know...
EDIT: There is Boboboubo Boubobo, but that's just a really really mad crack-whacked WTF stupid show that is just... well.... a combination of,
, and
.... I don't know why the hell I watch it, it's just so.... O__O;;;;;; Why am I even mentioning this? I dunno. You should just watch one episode of it, wonder what the hell the manga creator is on, and...
Naruto Manga is licensed.
People should buy licensed material.
It is bad.
EDIT: O yea, before I forget, Ragnarok has a lot of what you would call "stupid" material (anime sweatdrops and that sorta stuff) so that might not be as good of a choice than I had thought earlier. Still, maybe you should try it out. If you don't like it, o well.

Personality =/= preference. Also,
"Action and maybe adventure. Comedy is good, but Japanese humor is something that rarely appeals to me.
Everything else is optional."
is what Raz posted.
Ud think with my kind of "insightful" thinking, i would stay away from most dumb anime. Then i wouldnt have watched OT (both), AYA, CCS or the like, now would i? Im even thinking of watching that "pointless" anime Azumanga Daioh and To Heart.
Key word is not the sentence you put in bold, but the sentence before that. You should have taken that into consideration when you suggested FMWS (which IS a good anime, do not get me wrong) to Raz. Furthermore, I don't like the classification of "dumb" anime. If I remember correctly, a year or two ago this forum was full of Yugioh and Digimon anime, which is perfectly fine with me other than the fact that now I see hypocrisy in the topic CCC also posted a while back saying "do not post hate topics" or something like that.
I have opinions on some anime too. But I get quite irritated when people start believing they're elite over people labelling some anime "dumb". "Childish" I can accept, because there are some anime targeted more towards children. "Pointless" is ok, because some anime do have no plot and serve only to entertain. But no anime is truly "dumb" or "stupid" except in the eyes of a beholder.

I really, really swear, pigs are going to fly if I see Raz come back saying "Hi! I read through your suggestions, and I watched FMwS, and I tell you this is the greatest thing since sliced bread!!! It totally kicks Cowboy Bebop's ass!" or anything to that extent.
Another action-based sort of anime, I think, is GANTZ. I've never watched it or even heard it's storyline properly, but well you might want to give it a try.... The ED song, IMO, is great (if that counts for anything)
Maybe he'd like Blue Submarine No.6? I heard its out on DVD.
Action would be DBZ, Naruto, One Piece, Flame of Recca, Gundam series, Samurai Deeper Kyo, Hellsing... meh, i dont remember many titles.
I'd also be truly shocked if Raz liked DBZ. O_O But he likes Naruto, in fact he said he was going to re-download it at the beginning of this thread... I doubt he'd like Gundam or FoR, but hey, maybe he might like One Piece? I dunno, you could check this otu too Raz, it's popular.. but long (95 eps now, I think? Naruto is close with 84...)
Here's a SUREFIRE one (90% chance of you liking it?), even though I've never seen it (only screenshots, vivid descriptions)...
Samurai Champloo. Only the raw (unsubtitled) version of Ep 1 has been released, though, and it's already pre-licensed by Geneon for like a year or more... You WILL want this on DVD. At least I'm pretty sure you will. Everyone who's watched this compared this to Cowboy Bebop: Incredible integration of really cool music and animation, VERY slick animation at that, technically mindblowingly impressive (but not over-the-top), ABSOLUTELY cool, brilliant voice acting, superb direction (Oh, by the way, it's directed by Shinichiro Watanabe.... the director for Cowboy Bebop!), amazing characters....
...Yeah.
EDIT: Samurai Champloo #1 has been subbed by Bakafish. Too lazy to dig out the torrent link, though.
