Even more Onegai in the making!

First it was Please Teacher. A 15-year old school boy who's actually 18 and ends up married to his 23-year old half-alien teacher.

Then it was Please Twins. A 16-year old school boy trying to find his long lost sister. On the same day, two girls enter his life both claiming to be that sister. However, both girls begin to think of him as more than a potential relative...

Now...prepare for the next installment in the Onegai series...

What's it about?! No idea, but one can have a rough idea form the title and guess from the previous two series. One does wonder how far they'll push the boundaries this time.

And for the recorded, I like Please Twins more than Please Teacher.

I think the only thing you missed is the likelihood of it involving some characters from earlier series at some point. Maybe Kei and Mizuho now have a kid, and Mina and Maiku are married.

Whoo, yet another series I am going to miss like the plague... Sorry, but all these near-harem series and IMO pretty unfunny plot elements and the whole execution of it does not sit well with me. To each his own, I suppose~

By the way, apparently this is a continuation from Onegai Twins. So... yeah.

But, i thought Onegai Twins was far more watchable. It actually had a story that has soem surprise and suspense. Plus a male that didn't suffer a Shinji complex. (Yes, Maiku owns Kei)

Furthermore, Mina was far more likeable personality-wise and even a bit ebtter looking than Mizuho.

As for ecchi, well, it pops up in nearly every anime these days. A bit of fanservice is almost expected these days. Mind you, they should give female anime fans some fanservice too. Aside from Maiku bare-chested in a couple of eps and Chrno shirt-less in a few as well, I don't see much for the ladies.

And also, the degree of ecchi is an issue as well. If it's a quick flash or a little tease, then it's harmless as long as it isn't too frequent. Those kind of techniques worked well in the early eps of Chrno Crusade to lighten things up early on before we were sent into the dark part of the series. It's who and how really. Some chafracters can get away with it, some can't ebcause it ahs too much sexual power behind it.

I've learned to put up with fanservice (well, the kind for guys). I don't like it that much, because, well, it's not targeted for me anyway. But yes, nowadays ecchi is standard. There's very few current anime that don't have it.

Even a series as great as Eva had fanservice. As long as it doesn't disrupt the normal flow of the story, or force the rating up so high my dad won't let me watch it ( --; ), or have the entire show based off it, I'll deal with it.

Yes, fanservice can be used to lighten the mood a bit. It works. -_-

They need for-female fanservice in more mainstream anime. We can't live off things like Gravitation forever, and guys have it all over the place...

Just a few guys without shirts every once in a while! Then we'll be happy!

How does one have female fanservice? I never saw the male gentialia as something that people would find attractive. That is to say, females are attracted to male features that you can have in anime without being branded as "adult" or "fanservice."

Apparently Onegai Friends will be a continuation of Onegai Twins. I can just wait for the titles to roll out... "Please Friends"... sounds ridiculous.

The problem I have with female fanservice is that while I'm not quite pleased looking at male genitalia, we still don't see as many guys topless Well, not as many topless guys in the anime I've watched.... compared to nekkid females. Oh well.

It's all in the mind anyway, let's just go and imagine it all...

I think female anime fans should write into the mags and the studios and tell them they want more topless males.

Which studios would do it though?

Most likely ones:

GONZO - They did it in Chrno Crusade, they've shown with GANTZ that they won't be scared to do it regularly. There was also some in Last Exile. Yeah, GONZo have no problems doing it.

Deen - Fruits Basket had a fair bit of it, and it was tastefully done. I think Matanei Loki Ragnarok had a bit as well.

BONES - Full Metal Alchemist had plenty through Ed Elric, and Wolf's Rain had loads of it. Scrapped Princess had a fair bit too.

J. C. Staff - They do a lot of fanservice for males, but I remember seeing bits for females too. Some in Shingetsutan Tsukihime, maybe a bit in Ai Yori Aoshi, and in another title or two I can't remember.

That's who I think would do it. Male genitilia might not be appealing on TV, but nothing would be wrong with topless guys, since we don't seem to have a problem with topless girls.

Give the girls what they want, I say!
