Official "Next Gym and Contest" thread

Welcome. I just remembered how in the old days people used to have discussions on what will happen in future Gym battles, what Pokemon they'll have, what they'll use, etc. So I just thought I'd make a thread for that again.

Gyms they have left are:

Fortree City (Winona, Flying)

Mossdeep Gym (Tate & Liza, Psychic)

Sootopolis City (Wallace, Water)

And of course there's the league, god knows where they'll host the league. Last time it was in Mt. Silver while in GSC its Indigo Plateau again. So yeah... feel free to theorize about the league.

Now the contests. This one's kinda confusing, because we don't exactly know how many Contest halls there are in the Pokemon Anime world, contrary to the game. But anyway, I noticed a lot of people confused on which contests have been done, won, and lost... and we don't even know if May plans to return to where she lost. So anyway, here are the Contest stats.


Contests won:
Fallarbor (Beautifly vs Medicham)
Verdanturf (Skitty vs Dusclops)

Contests lost:
Slateport (Milotic)

Contests not visited yet:
Lilycove
"Ruibosu"

Contests that don't exist in the game and their stats:
Rustboro (Visited before signing up)
Ruibosu (About to be visited).


Well, it's clear that the next contest is Ruibosu, so feel free to speculate on that. Also, I guess I'll post something I found out on Palette. Remember how in the title, someone's mother participates in the Ruibosu Contest? I'm pretty sure it's Drew's mother, Zu... but what she has is unknown at the moment.

Wow! Great idea here. I'll post my thoughts.


Fortree Gym - Winona has Altaria, Pellipper and Skarmory. Ash uses his techniques he learned from Pokering (see Ag 80) to help his Swellow strike as hard as Winona's team. He also uses Pikachu and Grovyle.


Mosdeep Gym - Solrock and Lunatone. Ash may have a rematch as he hasn't had much expirience in 2V2's, especially as Liza and Tate train their Pokemon for 2-ON-2's. I predict Torkoal and maybe Pikachu.


Sootopolis - Hmm I think Wallace will have an almost identical team, except no Luvdisc or Seaking. Ash will OBVIOUSLY use Pikachu, Grovyle and either Swellow or Corphish.




ps: Wow, Drew's mom? Hehe I hope she kicks his butt :-/ I REALLY hope Drew has a different Pokemon this time.

Ohh, I hope Drew's mom has one of the Ralts line, hopefully Kirlia!

And I predict that Ash will have Swellow before, of will evolve during the fight with Winoa.

It seems the mother is infact the mother of the character-of-the-day. Is that right? The Mother fights in the contest, not the daughter.

Anyway, she has a Lairon and a Flareon.....

....while Drew has a Masquerin!
