Just wondering what people use for him, I also read it could be a good Choice Bander? is that true or does it not have the stats to stay around?

Baton Passing is kind of a waste of Medicham's talents...

For the Substitute set, just stick Rock Slide over Focus Punch, and a Jolly personality over Adamant. (Lucky me, I get to meet Meowth346 this weekend, and he's got a Japanese Fire Red he can teach Substitute to my Medicham with. )

And for your "ingame" set... Hi Jump Kick works fine over Brick Break. Also, there's no need to go Jolly (Adamant is fine), and you can put all effort into Attack and Speed. It's better that way.

It appears that Mind Reader can be Baton Passed (i.e. to something with a OHKO...), so the following set might have some legs:

Mind Reader
Dynamicpunch/Hi Jump Kick
Baton Pass
Shadow Ball

Use Mind Reader, then either whack 'em with a big stick or BP to something like Walrein with Sheer Cold (depending on if they'll switch or not).

Well, that Mind Reader set might work better once FRLG Pokémon become available and you can Baton Pass a Mind Reader to a Dugtrio with Arena Trap and Fissure.
