Yu-Gi-Oh!
Tales of the Duelist
Chapter One
“the worst days of our lives”
The cold air of the tropical island flowed through the aligned palm trees and bushes. The small meadows of grass swayed to the side, left and right, repeating the same motion. A storm was brewing within the ocean. Heading straight for the island jolting closer and closer.
From the center of the island, a large palace stood. It was a glossy brown color with Victorian windows and doors. It had a large balcony in the center of the palace, expanding over the island. Their was a host on the balcony, a man with flowing white hair that reached his ankles.
The man stood their, looking at the storm heading towards him. He kept a straight face and took a swig of wine from his glass. After he drank the last bit of wine, the glass crack into thousands of pieces. The white-haired man chuckled as the Eye of Anubis formed on his bare chest. It glowed an eerie red color and suddenly, flashed out.
“Prepare Rex Motu, you will pay for what your father did to my family.” the man began, “You will pay dearly.”

The docking station was packed with teenagers. They were all awaiting the ship to sail them to the deserted tropical island, Dueltopia. Within three hours of waiting, the ship had still not arrived.
One of the teens waiting was Rex Motu. In his hand was his suitcases and in his other was a small black tape recorder. He placed his suitcases down beside him and pressed the record button and held it up to his mouth.
“Tape Recorder Number 3 - Log 53 - 10:54 AM - We have been waiting here for over three hours, waiting for the ship to come. But still... it has not arrived.”
On the side of Rex, was his best friend Kyra. She rolled her eyes and got never frustrated. Every since they had arrived to the docks, he had been recording the entire events. Kyra finally decided to do something about this, she snatched the recorder for Rex’s hand and threw it on the ground, jumping on top of it.
Rex frowned and reached into his pocket. He pulled out another black tape recorder and pressed the record button and held it up to his mouth. Kyra rolled her eyes at this and placed her large suitcase door on the ground and sit on it.
“Tape Recorder Number 4 - Log 54 - 10: 55 AM - Kyra has once again broken one of my tape recorders and she is only mad because its almost 11 o’ clock and the ship still... has not arrived.”
Kyra snatched the recorder away from Rex’s hands and held it up to her mouth. She chuckled a small sum and began to speak into the recorder.
“Tape Recorder Number 4 - Log 55 - 10: 57 AM - Kyra is become very angry at Rex Motu and is about to let her nails get to know his face. So, T.P. Number 4, get ready for a showdown.”
She threw the recorder down on to the ground it hopes of it shattering into pieces. When the tape recorder hit the ground, the group of teens could hear a horn blow in the distance. They all looked ahead and saw a large white boat board into the docks.
They all cheered and clapped in plee, glad to see that they ticket out of Japan had arrived. Within the next thirty-minutes, everyone was on the plane and ready to go. The ship blared into horn one last time as it ventured off into ocean mist.

“So, what room are we in?” asked Kyra, squirming throw the crowd of people, trying to catch up to Rex.
“We are in room... 614!” Rex yelled back to Kyra. He pushed his way through the crowd and finally made it to his room. Kyra shortly followed after him and they opened the door.
The room was nice and clear. It had light blue shag carpet and two beds, one on each side. It had a small circular window in the back and a little dresser below it. By the door, a large stool stood on the carpet with a large, flat screen television.
“Wow. This place is nice...” Kyra began.
“... very nice!” Rex continued.
“This mysterious tournament guy most be loaded with cash.” Kyra stated placing her bags on top of her bed.
“And your not?” Rex asked jokingly.
Kyra stuck her tongue out him and let out a small ‘meh’ sound. She began to unpack her clothes and so did Rex. After a few minutes, they were finally comfortable. The two decided to go check out the rest of the boat.
Within that time, Rex and Kyra met alot of other duelist. One duelist who revealed his main cards were Archfiends and another duelist said that her deck was formed of Amazons. It was crazy.
But besides all of the duelist, the ship had many areas. It had over a thousand rooms for the guest to stay at, and it also a dinning room that was over 60 feet long and wide. The deck was just as large and so was the back of the ship, which held the parties and dinners at night.
At the top of the ship, was a tall pole. It reached atleast 10 feet into the air. At the top, was a large speaker. The speaker began to blare out a husky female voice.
“All right darlings, we are experiencing a few difficulties on the ship and it may take a few more hours long that expected to arrive at the Dueltopia island. In other news, a storm is heading our way and we would like everyone to go inside and stay in their rooms.”
With that, the speaker had shut off and all the travelers were worried. But, as they were told, they went back into their rooms and waited out the storm.

Back on the island, the white-haired man still stood on his balcony. He could still see the storm coming closer to Dueltopia. He smiled as the Eye of Anubis reappeared on his bare chest. It glowed a green color this time and released are deep glow.
“The time has come to awaken my Shadow Knights. Arise from the Shadow Realm! Destroy everything in your path my wicked warriors. Come to me!”
As he said those words, dozens of black figures flew out of the Anubis Eye on the man’s chest. They appeared in front of him and disintegrated into pieces of data. The man chuckled.
“Soon Rex, I will have you here on my island. You will pay my young friend, you will pay.”

The storm finally began to pick up. The rain poured down hard and bashes of thunder and lightning sounds. Inside room 614, Rex and Kyra were getting very board. They could do nothing but sit there, until Kyra broke the silence.
“Do you remember the time we had Saturday detention at school?” asked Kyra, pulling out her red fingernail polish.
“Do I? That was the worst do of my life.” said Rex.
Kyra giggled. She was now painting her fingernails, which began to turn a red glossy color. “Come on, we had fun. Who long ago was that?”
“Well, we are 17 and we were all 15 back then so, two years.”
Kyra frowned, “Who wear the other three guys that we did detention with?”
Rex rubbed his chin for a moment and thought, “Hm, wasn’t the girl named Miya and wasn’t her brother Nathan there too?”
“Yeah, and wasn’t that other guys name Kenny, or something?” asked Kyra, almost finished painting her nails.
“No, it was Benny, or maybe Lenny.” Rex corrected.
“Yeah, Lenny, that was it.” she replied. “Hey, why are we sitting here? Let’s go outside and explore the rest of the ship.”
Rex thought for a moment, “Let’s go!”

They walked through the corridors and saw the passage into the deck. They walked through it and stood under the tin cover. The sat at a table beside them and watched the rain fall onto the wooden boards.
“Okay, why did we decided to come out here?” asked Kyra, biting her freshly painted nails.
“Well, I don’t know. Ask yourself, you wanted to come out here. I mean, you knew it was raining.” said Rex.
Kyra rolled her eyes and looked into the misty air in front of her. Rex continued to complain but she toned it out. She continued to look forward and saw a black figure fly towards them.
“Rex. Look in front of us.” Kyra said.
Rex stopped talking and gasped. The flying figure zoomed past them and there bodies were stretched out of proportion and they disappeared, maybe never to be found again...
