Anti-Legends?

I wonder what Pokemon could easily counter Pokemon like Kyogre, Rayquaza, Groudon or Jirachi... Well, you get it. I only heard of Ludicolo as a Anti-Kyogre. Are there any more?

Jirachi: Anything with Earthquake.
And so on and so on....

Actually Kyogre wouldnt get a OHKO from thunder due to its large sp.def. adn mabye some calm minds would prevent that also.

A Pokemon with high enough Sp. Atk, and the electric type could pull it off.

Kyogre is generally best dealt with by status effects. Calm Mind on top of an already excessive SDef tends to make it too hard to kill with outright Grass & Electric, unless you get in early. More reliable would be to attack its Defense then follow up with a solid physical attack. A single Calm Mind will put its effective defense vs Thunder much higher than its effective defense vs a STAB Return or Earthquake, for example.

It will usually have Water, Ice and probably Electric attacks, so the best defensive type would be Water/Ground or Water/Grass. That's why Ludicolo, Quagsire, Swampert and Whiscash are seen as good counters. Ludicolo beats it with Leech Seed and Toxic, the others with Earthquake.

For Groudon, anything with high special attack and Solarbeam or a powerful Fire move can beat it. Don't let anything Baton Pass Special Defense to Groudon. You could also wear it down.

For Rayquaza, something with high special attack and Ice Beam or HP Ice could beat it fast. You also could attack with Rock or Dragon attacks. Again, don't let defenses be Baton Passed.

Kyogre is tough. Quagsire doesn't really help, a few Ice Beams could take it down. Ludicolo can work, but if it has Calm Mind, don't let it use it too much. Kyogre should always have Ice Beam and/or Thunder, which do normal damage to Ludicolo. A very strong physical move could take it down, if it can't OHKO Kyogre and has low special defense, say good bye. Thunder won't help because of Kyogre's massive special defense. I find it foolish that people think Thunder could easily take Kyogre down. Light Ball Pikachu would need a critical hit and no Calm Mind boosts. Never, ever let defenses be Baton Passed, or else...

For Jirachi, Fire and Ground attacks are you best bet. You could wear it down, that works against pretty much everything above too. Keep in mind thst Toxic won't work. I can't really think of much now.

How is Quagsire going to kill a Kyrouge? It has crap speed and Sp.Def and one surf or even a lucky hydro pump would KO it in a hit.

Quagsire has Water Absorb, which changes water attacks into HP.

Hmmmm good point forgot about its ability. Though it still wouldn't be a threat due to Ice Beam.

I'm sure Music Dragon doesn't want to use ubers. Besides, Mewtwo isn't obtainable yet.

That's right, I'm the one BEATING the Ubers, not the one using them. Thanks for the help, I've got lots of useful ways to counter these legendaries now.
