POLL: Congratulations!

Well, first of all, let me congratulate TPM in general. We've recently cleared 300,000 total posts, which I think is a nice milestone. Now if we could only figure out how many of those were spam...

Anyway, on to the poll dealing with the title: Congratulations!


GENERAL QUESTIONS

1. What do you think is your biggest achievement? It can be in a competitive event, a personal mission, or anything of that nature, as long as you did something worth noting.

2. What's something that you've tried to accomplish and failed?

3. Do you participate regularly in any activities that could potentially be worthy of congratulations? (An excellent example is sports events. If you win, you'll probably be congratulated!)


POKEMONIZED QUESTIONS

4. What do you think was the biggest achievement for the Pokemon series? Not necessarily about Ash or any of the characters, but about the series in general?

5. When, if ever, do you think Ash will win a League tournament? (The Orange Islands don't count, as they weren't exactly a tournament. The little themed tournaments he competes in sometimes aren't included either, as they are not part of any League.)

GENERAL QUESTIONS

1. I'd have to go with my state championship in chess. Yeah, I'm a geek. I know already. I won the state junior title when I was twelve. That's an under-18 tournament, if you didn't know.

2. Well, I've tried to become a Fanfic moderator on more than one occasion... *grins sheepishly* I've failed in both of my entries. btw, congrats to Gavin Luper, our newest mod. I'd say he deserves it far more than any of the rest of us did, anyway.

3. I participate in competitive chess and martial arts (strange combination, I know). I haven't really done any other activities of that nature for several years.


POKEMONIZED QUESTIONS

4. I actually think that extending the series beyond Johto was a big deal. There were lots of rumors that Ash would win it all, and that would be the end of the series. But it's still going, and I'm glad. It seems that it'll continue for awhile longer, as we've recieved limited info on one of the next generation's Pokemon... but that has been covered in other threads.

5. I doubt it'll be in Hoenn, since the series seems a lot more likely to end on a positive note (like a championship) than just another tournament loss. And we can be pretty sure that the series will continue, as I mentioned earlier. So I doubt Hoenn will be Ash's place to shine. Who knows, though. I could be completely wrong...

2. What's something that you've tried to accomplish and failed? hitting 23:00 on the 5k

3. Do you participate regularly in any activities that could potentially be worthy of congratulations? (An excellent example is sports events. If you win, you'll probably be congratulated!) cross country. nobody ****ing runs it. well, i do, but the people who do are pretty insane.

Proud to be the first person to say that 1/10 of those posts were Ash_300s.

Proud to say that his postcount was transfered from the UBB days, and he's only posted about 50 times on the vB. Way to get it wrong again strat.

1. Almost winning a bowling tournament that would have sent me to New Zealand. Out of 700 men (I was the youngest in the whole thing) I was coming first after 6 games, and then I was put off during the last three and ended up coming 33/700, which wasn't bad really, but I should have won it.

2. Maybe what I said above. I failed winning it, but tried my hardest. Maybe too hard, and that's what put me off.

3. Heh, bowling.

4. Getting the viewers to waste potential months watching little monsters attack and people walk around places. In WPM's case of course, wasting a potential lifetime.

1. I graduated from uni this year, and I did really well. I also won a prize for the best research dissertation in my law school. I think that is my greatest achievement. 2. I failed my driving test twice, and then passed the third time I took it.

3. Probably my job, if I do well I hope I'll be congratulated, and maybe my Dragon Tamers writing here!

I can't answer the pokémon questions as I don't watch the TV show!
