With Ganesha gone, Friar takes a breather, until Pele shows up. Damn, a danged Fire type to go up against. It was ok, Briar didn't seemed too worried. He readies a stream of seeds to pelt Pele with, but the Monkey was fast, already calling Briar an unfit participant who smoked what he produced on his back.

For that, Briar switched tactics and pelted Pele with some nasty Poisonous ooze.

That first hit was a bit powerful, and Pele knew he had to stop this crazy grasser now. So with a clap, flames shot from his left hand. Briar freaked and quickly swiped at the ground, using his vines to fling Mud in Pele's face. The Flames still struck, and Briar backed up. This wasn't gonna be easy now.

Still aggravated over what was said, Briar took aim at Pele. The monkey furiously wiped dirt out of its eyes amd tired to incinerate Briar. Briar however, sidestepped and watched as a whole section next to him seemed to get hotter instantly! Glowing energies finally reached their peak, and Pele was taken down by a rogue Solarbeam!

Bri stands tall, and Pele tries to reassert his position. With the sun setting, Bri takes a sigh of relief.

Miffed at this stupid monkey, Briar goes on the offensive. But, even though he's a quick Bulbasaur, Pele is a quicker Monferno. He backflips and splits into 4 clones, and the Mud-Slap easily flies through one. Hahah the trickery begins!

Bri watches carefully...and then suddenly sees a dashing Chimchar flying right toward him..O snap he just lit on fire! Briar has no chance to escape tactics, (not that he would, seething like that..) and is railed by that Flare Blitz. Recovering barely, Briar weakly fired a Sludge Bomb at one of the retreating clones, and hits! Holy crap! Pele stands there in dumbfounded confusion.

But Briar swears there's something burning.

Pele breathes heavily, as Briar seems to calm down and rethink its strategy. It flings Mud into Pele's eyes once again, to readjust his accuracy.

Briar watches, irritated by the burn on his bulb as Pele begins to hop around like a regular ol' monkey. He times Pele's rhythmic movements, and fires off a seed string right when Pele is as his closest! Pele is ensnared by the Leeching vines, and yet doesn't seem to mind.

Pele stared at these vines, and shrugged before throwing his hands up at Bri. The beast created a few stars outnof pure neergy, and they flung themsleves at the Planimal. Since Pele was standing still, Briar had an easy time leading the stars on while getting closer to the simian. A close range Sleep Powder, and Pele was down.

Thankful for this, Pele now sat down, and they both took a nice nap. With nothing to bother him, Pele fell into a deep sleep.

Briar hunkered down for a moment, but watched Pele carefully. Well all the while hewas watching Pele suddenly sprang up and dahsed at Bri full speed. Bri was punched in the face, but it wasn't nearly powerful enough to take him out. Just for that, Bri split into 5 copies..and they all surrounded Pele now. Try THAT again

Bri relaxes, and Pele grumbles again in his sleep. Bri hears it, but isn't sure what he's sayi-Whoa! Pele just started ripping into a clone of Briar, Swiping at it Furiously!

Pele still snoozed, and Bri tries to get some health back to even this match up. As the suction occurs, Pele goes to lash out at another clone! This time is a huge wheel of flames that encircles Plee as he runs around the clone, burning it to smithereens.

.... Question... if Double Teams get negated by damage, wouldn't Brair have No clones since Burn Damage happens at the end of the Round?

No. Brn/Txc is already a suffering issue with the Pokemon before Double Team so all clones would adequately have that burn spot on themselves. Therefore, being affected by Brn prior to Double team would not negate the clones as it is damage taken into account when making said illusion.

Now, had you burned Briar somehow after Double Team was made(Will-o-wisp for example) This is new damage and thus a) the clones would not have the new burn and b) this damage accrual is not taken into account and thus the clones would vanish.

Correlation-if you have a bad foot before playing ball, you know what you can expect from it and so you don't overexert in order to deal with the pain (you know it hurts but you can still fake)-as opposed to hurting foot in game and not knowing at all what the hell's about to happen =/ Good question though. Can't wait to show off my new reffing stuffz

Briar stays put, pleased he's lived this long. Pele seems unnerved by the survivability of the planimal, especially when the ground rumbles and Rocks come flying out of the earth, cascading on the Bulbasaur platoon. Briar climbs out of the rubble, dazed. That hurt ;_;

Smashed up, Briar shakes off the hit and aims his bulb at Pele. Just then he feels a drastic change in temperature. Not looking back, a Sludge Bomb is fired, just as a series of shooting glowering stars fly above his head, whip around and all find a home on Briar's underbelly. The Bulbasaur goes flying backwards and lands right in front of Pele, who shoots an O-ring in his face.
