My eyes flickered open, and I saw a bright blue sky. The last thing I remembered was taking a nasty shot to the head from that Shi person. I slowly sat up, instantly feeling a sharp pain in my ribs. That thing packed a whallop, that's for sure. I hadn't been knocked unconscious by another being since I was a child. I looked around, but didn't see her, or the child she was with. My vision was kind of blurry, but I could sense a very large power level leaving the area. Must be her. I also sensed another power level, less than Shi's but still extremely big, following close behind. A third signature, which I recognized as Rudy's, was with them. I didn't notice anyone else in their vicinity. I got to my feet, head still hurting, and walked over to the crowd of fighters that were left at the arena. The Namek looked up at me.
"Rudy went off with Shi to finish some fight they had years ago. He's leading them to a remote spot, away from bystanders. He insisted on going alone as well. What a fool, he's going to die!"
He sounded more irritated as he finished, but calmed down quickly again.
"In any case, we don't have much time to waste. We're all heading to the Lookout to figure out a plan. I assume you want to get back at Shi for that..." Piccolo pointed at my mangled knee joint. I looked down at it and smiled.
"Nah, I'm not much for revenge. I just want to fight her for the challenge!"
Piccolo smiled back, then turned to the others.
"Let's head out. Kabuli, go wake Gav up. He's slept long enough." He said sharply as everyone took off into the air. I hopped over to Gav's unconscious body, and bent over to pick him up. Before I even touched him, he shot up.
"Nobody's carryin me!" He said quickly, getting to his feet.
"Then hurry up, lazy bum!" I replied, shooting into the air and racing to catch up with Piccolo and the rest.

“Did you kill it?”
Without glancing back at the youngest of us ‘Clones’ I cut straight to the point. Go said she had been fighting a human while I was distracted with seeing San again. Now I would see just how much of what the Humans did to us back at the lab had sunk into this young one.
“Well it was coming at me like WOOOOSH! But it was tooooooo slow and I saw it coming so I powered up--SSHHHHHHWWWWW!!!!! and THEN I went BOOOOOMMMM!!! And then the human went AHHHHHHH and he flew through the air but he wasnt flying like we are it was cause of something el---”
“Did. You. Kill. It. Yes. Or. No.” I said sharply, emphasising each word to get it through her childlike mind. Such pointless status reports I had often been reprimanded for harshly so I tried to let it slide with Go a little, but enough was enough. Go looked a little wary, not sure what the right answer was. “Well...it fell down and its power level was lower but it was still aliv----”
Hearing this my eyes widened and I turned my head to glare at her in midair. “You mean to tell me you had a Human, a HUMAN AT YOUR MERCY, and you DIDNT FINISH IT OFF???!” Go flinched a little. “Sh...Shishou.....” I could feel the rage rising again within me. She left a human alive! She had the chance to finish off one of those MONSTORS and she didnt take it! “Dont you REMEMBER what they did to us?? YOU WERE THERE! YOU went through the hell, and STILL you leave alive one of those CREATURES that made us SUFFER?!”
“STOP IT!” I turned to look at San. “And what do you want? You cant even remember how it was. Who are you to have any op---”
“Look at what your doing to her!” San yelled and I did, but what I saw stopped my anger momentarily. She was crying. San went on. “You say you hate the humans, but your acting just like them! Theres pain on her face and YOU put it there!” Shocked and horrified I saw it was true. What...how can this be?? The Humans....they....they did this! They are to blame! Theyre the monstors...I could never be....like ...them! Shaking the shock from my face I kicked up my speed a few notches and shouted behind me. “Enough of this stalling San! We ll see who it is thatll be in pain once we get to your preferred loctaion! Now lead on!”
San sighed as he sped up to match me. “Just a little farther then....”

I didn't think I'd ever be able to understand Shi. She spoke of killing every last human on Earth and yet didn't see that she was only killing her own people since she was half human. I had already seen her do several of the things that she felt made humans evil but I decided that it would be best not to mention it. I also had a feeling that reminding her that she was part human would also be bad. Telling her she was human in any way, shape or form would only serve to make her angrier than she already was.

Just when I was starting to wonder how far away this place was Shi suddenly shot out in front of me and into my path forcing me to stop. "Enough of this San" she said to me. "You don't need a tour of the Earth. We're not in an area where anyone is going to get hurt......other than you that is." She was right. We were already pretty far into the mountains. The likelihood of anyone innocent being here was very slim. There was no sense in doing anything to anger her. Without a word I touched down at the bottom of a canyon while Shi landed on the cliff above me with the little girl.

For several moments the three of us just stared at one another. No one made any moves or attempted to start the battle. I wouldn't lie to myself. I was in a bad situation and I was scared. However I couldn't let my fear show. I still didn't expect to win but that was never my goal. Every minute I delayed Shi would be another minute Piccolo and the others had to figure out what to do. Plus I was still confident that Shi would not kill me. Something deep inside told me she wouldn't. After a few more moments she said to me "I don't know if I should be impressed at your bravery or laugh at your stupidity. Surely you know that you can't win San yet you still insist on fighting me. Why is that?" For me it was a simple answer. Getting into a battle stance I told her "Because it's the right thing to do. The people of Earth can't fight back against someone such as you. If I don't stand up and fight then who is left to protect them? Fighting to protect the things you believe in and people you care about means your willing to give yourself up if that's what it takes." Both Shi and Go seemed confused over my answer at first but within moments Shi had something to say as she got into her own stance. "Well I for one never expected to hear that from you San. However if your willing to become just another dead hero that failed then BE MY GUEST!!!!!"

A hero in her own mind...

Out of anything San couldve said, this I understood least of all. Any number of reasons for fighting me could be acceptable, to prove his strength, to show he was not a failure like the humans said, even killing me to be the strongest on this planet I could understand. But this was ridiculous!

"Because it's the right thing to do. The people of Earth can't fight back against someone such as you. If I don't stand up and fight then who is left to protect them? Fighting to protect the things you believe in and people you care about means your willing to give yourself up if that's what it takes."

For the people of Earth?! Is that who you care for now San? The people who enslaved us, created us just to break us down piece by piece until we re just tools to be used for their own purposes? There was a time when I was the one you defended, I was the one you cared for. Charging my aura slightly with my burning anger, I stopped remembering the San I used to know. Feelings are pointless in this world, strength is all that matters. With strength, you can never get hurt...
Getting into a fighting stance, I gazed at San with cold, unfeeling eyes. "Well I for one never expected to hear that from you San. However if your willing to become just another dead hero that failed then BE MY GUEST!!!!!" And with that, I sped towards him, faster and faster until BAM! The clash began and nothing existed but the fight that lay before me.

I decided to stick with physical attacks until I figured out how well San fought. Considering he lived with humans so long I didnt have a great deal of confidence in his fighting abil---
Suddenly a spinning fist comboed with an uppercut and a downward kick brought my full attention back to the fight. Catching me by surprise, I hurtled to the ground until I was able to right myself. Floating back up to where San was I spat a bit of blood and reguarded him with a grin. "Well, it seems that your memory loss didnt affect your fighting much." I said in a somewhat teasing manner. San smiled and readied a defence again. "Some things you never forget."
Hearing this reminded me of what he DID forget, and the smile dropped off as soon as it had appeared. "Well its a pity you didnt remember the things that were important." Clenching my fists I flared up my aura a little more. "What do you say we quit the childlike games and cut to the chase. I dont have all day you know. This world is a big place and Id like to spend my freedom doing something useful, like exterminating the vermin."
"Youll never hurt any of them. Youll have to kill me first." His blue eyes shone with defiance and determination, a look Ive seen many times before, but never before directed at me. I grimaced, my blue eyes getting colder as I realised this. "That can be arranged San..."
I powered up a blast with my right hand and held my wrist with my left hand. A Gold and silver beam shot out of my palm, hurtling towards my friend San. No, not friend, former friend....betrayer....

"...we ll get out of here one day Shi, I promise. We ll have our freedom...." Those blue eyes, they were shining with something else, with hope. Hope that we would get out and be free....but what then San? What would we do with our freedom....you never said......

In that moment of memory, my power dissipated slightly, and the blast I hurtled at San hit him, but when the bright light that followed dimmed, San was still alive. I put a hand up to my head, my cold eyes squinting with irritation and confusion. What was wrong with me...why wouldnt the memories leave me alone?! I.....cant......

Frustrated with everything that was going on my temper flared. "I WILL KILL YOU SAN!!!!" I shouted, and the fight that began 10 years ago continued.

Not even I was sure how this fight would end......
