I just wondered where i can catch a feebass on saphire. I really want one. It said on the main site to fish at rt 119 for it. Is that different on saphire? I havent found it with old or good rods. do i need a super rod?

Yes, Feebas can be found on any part of the water on Route 119. However, there are only like 6 "tiles" that Feebas can appear on, and there are probably around 300-400 different "tiles" of water on Route 119. It doesn't matter which rod that you use, it will not affect your chances of catching a Feebas. On the six tiles that contain Feebas, there will be a very high chance of encountering Feebas, but other Pokémon will still appear in "Feebas tiles." Therefore, it is recommended that you encounter at least around 3 wild Pokémon on each tile before you move on and fish at a different one. Feebas hunting can take a really long time and requires a lot of patience. It is best to start at one end or the other of the water on Route 119, and just keep fishing at each and every tile until you get your Feebas.

Some other info: the Rod you use does not affect your chances of finding Feebas, and it doesn't affect Feebas' level, either, but it does affect two other things: first, it affects which other pokémon you'll be dealing with on your search. The Old Rod hooks very low-level Magikarp and Tentacool, while the Super Rod hooks Carvanha at about level 20.
Second, it's easier to reel in your catch with the Old Rod than with the Super Rod. This is supposed to be because you're trying to reel in stronger pokémon, but in Feebas' case the Rod is the only thing you can blame.
The chance of hooking a Feebas in a Feebas tile is 50%. If you hook three pokémon in a Feebas tile, there is an 87% chance that one of them will be a Feebas. If you want to be more certain, hooking four pokémon will produce at least one Feebas 94% of the time, but you'll find it gets old fast. Remember: times when you don't hook anything don't count!
Oh, one more thing: you don't find Feebas by being on a Feebas tile and then fishing. You find them by dangling your Rod over a Feebas tile. So if you're facing left, the tile to your left needs to be a Feebas tile in order to find them.

Another tip
Once you find the Feebas tile, wait for a female. That way you can breed for more if you want, since there are some things in the game that can change your Feebas tiles. (Changing the Dewford phrase and mixing records are the only ones I think)

Can it only be found through fishing? Because I spent a while surfing about there and never found it, wondered if that was why.
Only fishing. You can surf and fish at the same time so you can fish further out at sea.Originally Posted by PokePaul
Cool. That's what I did. Then I got the baby feebas's beauty right up and it evolved at lv 7.Originally Posted by Jeff
The lucky thing is i only had to search... like... five tiles to find a feebas. It was way quicker than I expected it to be.
thanks![]()
Wow, that's pretty lucky. Congrats on the Milotic.

You should have Mixed Records with your brother so you got his Feebas tile.![]()
I'm not sure i should ask this here, but is it any easier to catch Feebass in Emerald?
Feebas is kind of easier but also kind of harder to catch in Pokemon Emerald. Instead of having six Feebas tiles like Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire you can catch it anywhere fishing on Route 119 but it very rarely appears.Originally Posted by WingullTrainer
