What will happen ?

Ok so i know they had red and blue, then yellow.
Then they had gold and silver, then crystal.
now they have ruby and sapphire, then emerald, along with firered and leafgreen.

Next up is pearl and diamond. Now they have 384 pokemon +Jurachi + Deoxys + Munchlax + Bonally + 3 other rumored pokemon. ( no clue what they are )

So how many new pokemon will they be releasing for Pearl and Diamond?
Will they make a third game for the FireRed and LeafGreen?
And finally,what will they call the third game in the 4th generation?

I think even without nintendo releasing any info on it that there will definetely not be a 3rd game for fire and leaf.

Know one knows though how many pokemon they will release for the next games. They haven't released info on that yet.

We can only guess what the next generations 3rd game will be called.Topaz or aquamarine mabye? Probably not, I honestly don't know.

Well, diamond and pearl are both clear/whitish colors, which is what started the rumors that the game will take place in a wintry land to the north. A third game would probably follow that motif. What are some white, maybe glittering minerals?

Yeah a good big snowtown would be really cool in a pokemon game. Especially if they extended past the usual length of the story and put lots of story into each town.

Crystal didn't follow the metallic theme though. If I had to guess I'd nod the hat to Platinum or something totally new (Rainbow? Extreme? Heaven?).

With DS it will be interesting to see how much resouce is put into plot and how much is put into graphics. There will likely be complaints no matter what the mix is...

I sincerely think that nintendo will halt the project on the DS just to make a third game for Kanto. U see, nintendo has sold DS even withput many games available, I think they're aiming to boost up the market of DS with the introduction of the new pokemon, not sure if they will include online feayures, but it may be the reason for the delay, that, or they want to ensure the expectation to be so great, that it will be a total sellout, as Ruby Sapphire were.

I don't think so. The project is already too advanced by now, and they have already integrated some of the new pokémon into the animé and the next release (XD: Gale of Darkness). They are not going to chuck away all that carefully orchestrated lead-up just to do another retro game for their oldest remaining platform. IMHO.

The DS *is* the next generation; that's been in place for at least the last two years of planning and development. DS may be selling nicely, but they still need a few kicks in the pants (i.e. killer aps) to offset the hit they'll take from the growing pressure of the PSP and the uncertainty of the next generation of consoles.

Whitish minerals?

I'd suggest quartz, but that's not valuable or well-known enough to make sense. "White gold", as pathetic as it sounds, might be better just because more people could understand it. There really aren't that many white gemstones, actually, so that may not be the right way examining the problem.

Looking at it from another perspective, they could try to make the third game stand out by contrasting the color with the other two. And what's more different from white than black? Opal, anyone?
