    [color=teal] Well here's my fic, hope you enjoy it. This is just a Prologue to explain the history. It will help to understand the following story, trust me. The large spaces are supposed to replicate a new page loading. There is some swearing too.

    ~~~~~~~~~~
    [color=teal]I apologise now for any inaccuracies in the planetary possibilities of Venus. The same holds true for human and animal genetics. Such impossibilities are made real by the imagination of me.
    Huh, sounds like I'm on a power trip. Ah well, it needed to be said. Oh, and I do not own Pokémon. As much as I wish I had one. Tweeeeee ^.^ Oh, a few things said in the following paragraphs my offend some people. I really, really, mean no offence; I only tried to come up with a series of events that led to people going to Venus. So yeah . . . on with the show!
    They tell me I am supposed to remain impartial when I write this. Relate only the facts. I challenge anyone to do that. Our history is full of too much hatred to be impartial. If you are reading these sentences, it appears that they agreed on this. They probably wanted a more 'personal' feel. Well, I am not the most personal of people, but I will write this how I want. Some editor can come along and 'fix' this to fit their views. Or not, seeing how I'm a living relic, my word is probably considered the truth. Interesting how that that has never gone to my head . . . Anyway, here is our history.
    Where to begin . . . Well I suppose that I should begin with the war. If you can call it that, it was more of a demonstration of machismo, and how big could things go boom, then anything else. The war from its beginning to its end was extraordinarily s*****. Not that I’m discounting the s******** of leaders (and wars) past, but this war was exceedingly proficient in the areas of sheer i*****.
    Let’s start with the name, Terra Fear. No, not the most original of names, but it did reflect what happened. Terra is Latin for earth, so Earth Fear. (this is only a guess, what the real reason is I do not actually know . . .) Trust me on this, the entire Earth was afraid of what would happen to both themselves, and the future of the Earth itself. You see, quite early on the countries at war decided, ‘Hey we got nukes! Let’s use em!’ Well, perhaps not with that much enthusiasm, but you know what I mean.
    I suppose I should say how the whole thing got started. Well in the year, 2248 the leaders at the UN Conference decided they should have a couple of representatives for each continent on Earth. They thought this would be a good idea because the Earth’s population had plummeted in recent years because of an Ice Age (2097-2243, a relatively brief snap back). The northern continents were hit hard, as you can well imagine. They thought they could get things moving faster for the large-scale problems, with large-scale representatives. It was a good idea, until the Middle East decided they wanted to be considered a Continent.
    You see, when they started the Continental Circle there were six members, North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Oceania. The Middle Eastern countries believed they should be considered a Continent too, because their interests were not always seen in the respected Continents of Europe and Asia. The leaders at the UN Conference and The Continental Circle said no; they were not really a separate part of the landmass, nor were they all that different from the people representing the Continents they were a part of.
    They were not happy about this and made an appeal, having all the countries sign on in their wish to become a Continent. They also got the support of the oriental countries like, China, Bhutan, and Taiwan among others. Still they Circle said no, and things degenerated from there.
    No one is quite sure how it got so bad as to begin a war, but it did. No one is quite sure who fired the first shot either, but the general consensus is it was one of the European countries along what was to be the Middle Eastern border (probably Romania). After that . . . well everything fell apart. When Turkey retaliated it was considered the start of the war, February 21, 2285.
    I was 7 at the time, and I remember it very, very well. The nukes did not start falling right away, but threats were flying every which way. I lived in Japan at the time; we were on the side of the Middle Eastern countries, if I remember correctly. Everyone was terrified, hoping it would not degenerate into outright nuclear warfare.
    Then of course came the infamous day with Venus. Space travel was well utilized by now, Mars being a testing ground of sorts. Venus was considered to inhospitable for any attempt to be made on putting people on it. Being able to melt lead put kind of a damper on the whole colonizing business.
    Anyway, on April 5, 2289 a tremendous explosion took place near Venus. I cannot describe how big this explosion was. I suppose picturing a nuclear explosion would work. The starting outward circle though. Except its in the sky, on Earth, the size of the Moon, during the day. I can testify to that fact, it sent many people, including me into a panic. Scouts were immediately sent out, and there was nothing left where Venus had been, except a few floating rocks. It was naturally assumed that Venus had been destroyed. There was nothing remaining of the ships.
    By searching shipping logs it was determined that it had been the United States of America that had owned whatever ships had been near the planet that day. It had been carrying a large amount of nuclear devices. What they were doing near Venus we never did find out, but another group of ships confronted them. We believe they were from Saudi Arabia. We think they US of A ships would not hand over the nukes and the Saudi's decided to use force; VERY bad idea.
    Naturally this was found out by the ME's side and they were outraged. They responded with the perfect amount of force, a nuke on Washington.
    Now people were terrified, and some decided they had just about enough of this incredibly s*****war. The problem was they had nowhere to go. So a number of people (mainly from the UK) started to look towards Mars with more interest. When they were looking they noticed a star that had not been there before. It was very hard to see, as it was right beside the Sun. They found out it was a planet, or at least an asteroid that had not been there previously.
    The UK sent out a Scout to look into it. The other countries were a bit preoccupied with the war to be looking to the stars very much. The Scout was simply checked over at the International Space Station for weapons and sent on its way. It flew over to the rock and found it to be Venus.
    A lot had been changed about the planet. First of all, on one side there was a very large crater, a wound from the explosion. The rocks were circling the planet in a strip of many moons. Second, some of its atmosphere had been blown off in the blast, leaving the gravity slightly less then that on Earth. Its axel spin had also been sped up from once a year for a full rotation, to once every 22 hours. Finally, it had been blown farther outward from its original path around the Sun. It was almost equal with Earth's distance from the Sun.
    The Scout came back to tell the exciting news. The people looking for a new home all agreed if they could make Venus habitable it was much better then Mars. They sent out word that anyone who wanted to leave they were headed for Mars. They did not want people to know about Venus, because it would most likely be made into a testing ground. They decided to say they were headed for Mars, for anyone they got would be willing to wait a while for a new home. In the end, 37 482 people signed on to leave Earth.
    There was a slight fee to pay to leave, Ł580 ($1000 US), and you were only aloud to bring what could fit in a 3.5 by 3.5 metre box (almost 12 feet by 12 feet). The people who wanted to leave scraped up the money somehow. On September 1, 2292 the ships set out for Mars.
    On the way there they scrapped the communication devices to reach Earth. Then they told the people they were actually headed for Venus. They were going to fake an accident and head there in the confusion. One ship was subsequently blown up and they disappeared in the resulting mess. The people on Earth didn't really care and just sent out a couple of Scouts and reported the ships had blown up. In later years we were told our leaving was an obscure point in history that no one really cared about. All the better for us.
    We went to Venus and dug into a mountain for our homes. We called ourselves the Venuse. It took about 80 years to change Venus's atmosphere from one that was not breathable and highly toxic, to one fit for life. We had to keep pumping needed chemicals out for a while as we set about planting vegetation and creating oceans and such. It took another 50 years to get the planet stable and able to 'run' by its self. By that point we could venture outside with Oxygen masks. We continued to plant vegetation until we determined we could grow Earth's animals and set them loose. On July 1, 2503 the terra forming was complete and Venus was a thriving planet.
    In the time between we determined we would need helpers to get us around quickly on the planet. We did not want to use ships, as that was too obvious that people were living there. Horses had been the traditional choice but we needed something that was a bit more manoeuvrable. So we chose deer. We also wanted them highly intelligent, as it would be more useful. On August 3, 2414 the Alvar were created. They came up with the name themselves. It is fully understood they are as smart as any human, and are treated accordingly.
    During this time, we also developed ways to lengthen our life. To say the least, it worked very, very well. I could not tell you how it was done, but I am living testament to those experiments. On average people now live to see 250. The scientist's thankfully thought that was quite old enough and stopped further testing. I appear to be the exception because if you know any math you realize if I was 7 in 2285, and today is 2589, I'm 311 years old. When my comrades of the testing started to die, I believed I was soon to follow. However, they all looked to be what was called late 60's; I still looked in my early twenties. We could greatly reduce aging but not totally get rid of it. The doctors tried to find out why I was outliving my fellow test subjects, but they still do not really know. The only difference I can see is I was injured when I got the shot. I was also much younger, but I still should not look this young.
    Unfortunately we only had a little over 54 years to enjoy our new planet. We never communicated with Earth but we did keep an eye on them. We wanted to known if they had found Venus before they ever came near our home. It was good we kept such vigilance, because we saw the Scout coming days before it got here. We immediately hid all evidence of our existence. Not that there was much in the first place. Then they came, and they were very confused.
    We listened in on their telecoms and learned they came from Japan. We also learned their intention to use our home as a testing ground for their animals. We were both rel8ived and dismayed. Thankfully it wasn't for weapons testing, (in the big boom sense) but their animals would probably upset the ecological balance, and it was a delicate thing already.
    Either way we were not found out, although they were very confused. How had Venus become like this? It was thanks to the Alvar not many questions were asked. They had greatly enhanced telekinetic abilities and they implanted a memory of a group of colonists going away to Venus. They started to terra form it but ran out of resources and had to leave before it was completed. It was thought Venus had fallen into ruin, but evidently it had thrived. The Alvar also impressed the need to tell no one. It may have been wrong to fiddle with their minds but they came out none the worse for wear. We even sent a few people back to get to the top leaders and scientists, and give them the memories. I am assured that it was a very unpleasant experience going back.
    When they set the Pokémon loose we kept a wary eye on them. It was to our great relief they had been given rudimentary intelligence. As in they spoke in broken, but coherent sentences. Much like a young child, therefore they would be able to be reasoned with. It also seemed that the older they got, (and the more they changed shape) the smarter they got. We learned they were based off an old kids video game and TV show. I swear to the Stars Around, I have never seen people so perverted. Taking a kid's show and turning it into a weapon for war . . . I have never heard of something so disgusting in my life.
    Now taking animals and making them into fighting machines is bad, but they did the same with people. They took those from the slums of society and brought them over, calling then 'Genga's'. About the only thing they did for those people was give them a Nillian. They are basically the equivalent of an Alvar but in horse form. Oh and I guess they gave them a home, for a little while. Later they had unbelievable atrocities committed upon them.
    In March of 2576 Japan took their creations back. The first and second generations that is. To say the very least, the Pokémon were not pleased about this. The Japanese came in very quickly and stole them all away before much could be done about it. They raged out at anyone and since we were literally sitting ducks we were their favourite choice. We snuck out at saved some of their young, showing we were not the ones to blame. They were still suspicious but when we worked with them saving young, they swung back to being friendly, and they were extremely grateful to us.
    In the year 2580 we met the most optimistic people you could ever meet. The Japanese called them the 'Betsujin'. They had been average human beings but they had been radically changed. Now they were similar to ancient mythical creatures such as, Sphinxes, Centaurs, Merpeople, and Harpies. There were also two more also "invented" creatures, Riba (frog-like humans) and Fleeter's (flying fish with a human head and neck with webbed back legs). All the Venuse felt sorry for them and when they were 'released' (pah, the anger I felt at those people . . .) we helped them as much as could be done. The only favour the Japanese did for them was to make sure their bodies were fully functional. That and the Nillians never deserted them. Still they feel this is better then anything they had on Earth.
    Japan kept shipping in the Genga's and spitting out the Betsujin. They still took some Pokémon, but not like that first snatch; evidently they no longer cared what happened to them. Thankfully, nine years later they left. We quickly found out why all their people had left and it was because a new war had broken out called the War of Beasts. You can see why Japan had been inventing Pokémon and the Betsujin. They are still shipping in the Genga, but the next ship is the last one. We hope to destroy all memory of this place. It will take some doing, but it has to be done.
    1. Every year divisible by 4 is a leap year.
    2. But every year divisible by 100 is NOT a leap year
    3. Unless the year is also divisible by 400, then it is still a leap year.
    This means that year 1800, 1900, 2100, 2200, 2300 and 2500 are NOT leap years, while year 2000 and 2400 are leap years.
    Wow, what a good start. The computer scrolling concept is kinda cool. Living on Venus? Unthinkable...
    So, not only ancient creatures are involved, but there's Pokemon as well? Wonder if there would be a war between Venus and Earth involving the Pokemon and Betsujin
    Taking a kid's show and turning it into a weapon for war . . . I have never heard of something so disgusting in my life.
    Hmm, never thought a real Pokemon created based on video games...Great concept.
    This is a good sci-fi story, keep writing! :smilie: I'll wait for the next chapter.
    Please take it easy~
    [font=garamond]darktyranitar: Thanks for your comments! I know its been almost 2 months since I posted last O.o''' but, well, I had to find the time. Christmas Break gives you some lol. I don't think living on Venus is so unthinkable, so long as you could make it habitable it be almost like living on Earth. Only people would be taller because of a little less gravity. Hehe. I'm trying to make Pokémon possible in real life so they had to get the idea from the games ^^. Well here's the next installment.
    ~~~~~~~~~~

    [font=garamond]Pokémon may belong to Nintendo or other some such, but everything else belong to moi. That includes characters, creatures and story. No takies please.

    [font=sylfaen]Chapter 1: Crash! Bang! BOOM!

    Ikkou, do you have any idea why the Circle decided to nominate us for this little assignment? asked Koji as he glared at the surrounding trees. He swayed with his Alvars ambling gait, not caring at all about proper riding form. The sun was shining and creating a dappled effect upon the trail. The ancient trees rustled in the breeze, causing the shadows to dance across the ground. Koji felt no happiness from the wonderful weather and instead felt like grumbling, but knew he could not, and instead complained to Ikkou, I was looking forward to a sleep in today. It was supposed to be my day off.

    Ikkou flicked his ears back to his rider and replied, I know Koji, I was hoping for some extra shuteye as well. Ikkou cocked his head and was in deep thought when he replied, I cannot be sure, but I think the Circle was worried about something. He turned head to the side and looked up at Koji with an amused glint in his eye, However, I do believe you put emphasis on the us in that sentence.

    Koji shifted his glare from the offending forest to his mount; Of course I put emphasis on us. Anyone could have gone on this little trip, but nooo let's choose Koji. Lets send him out on his one day off in how many weeks? After six weeks of non-stop patrols Koji was tired, and this was supposed to be his day off. Apparently the Circle thought 'only he was worthy of this extremely important and honourable task.' to quote them directly. Ikkou shook his head at his rider attitude. Koji softened his gaze on Ikkou, Sorry Ikkou, I'm just so tired and I really do not want to be here. I shouldn't take it out on you though. You are just as exhausted as I am. He patted Ikkou neck and frowned as he added, but what did you mean by worried? The Circle did not sound worried at all. If anything they sounded . . . not smug but close to it.

    Ikkou turned his head a little and looked back with one big green eye, it was not them, it was Kini's Alvar, Jukon. He told me Kini was worried about the ship. Apparently there is something wrong with it and the crew have not noticed it. Koji narrowed his eyes and was about to reply when Ikkou cut him off, swinging he head back for added effect. His antlers barely missed Koji's nose, no Koji. Do not blame them. They likely do not have much experience flying Japanese ships. Besides this was the last shipment. It is doubtful the Japanese cared much about them. They are basically abandoning this planet in their interest for the new war.

    Koji snorted and grabbing an antler, shook his mounts head. They still should have someone on there that knows how to fly it! Have the Earth people forgotten Captains? Maintenance crews?

    As I said before, the Japanese did not care about this final shipment. They are the left over group of people. Therefore there are more people then usual, less experienced, and probably very confused. They themselves probably would be more worried about where they are going then what they are getting there in, or how. He shook his head a little. Now would you let go? It is very disconcerting for you to hold my head by my antler.

    Koji allowed himself to sigh and let go. Yes, yes of course.

    Thank you. Now be quiet.

    I only sighed! Koji 'shouted' in indignation.

    You know the rules. I am sure I do not need to repeat them.

    I swear the Circle makes up these Star confangled Rules just to have hold over us when they cannot see us.

    You are in an exceptionally bad mood Koji. Ikkou said looked back at his rider with concern this time. You know the Rules, and you know the Circle. No matter what else they do and are, they would not seek to control their people. We came here to escape tyranny and fear, not to inspire more. Why do you insist on arguing they are doing things contrary to this fact?

    I insist because they are becoming like what we left behind Ikkou, and I will not leave the Venuse to that fate. You may not believe me but you were not there Ikkou.

    Koji you were but a small child when you . . . left. Could your memories not have been altered by this or, misinterpreted?

    Koji shook his head, his eyes gazing into the far off past. No. Please just believe me on this. I do not wish to go into it.

    Ikkou nodded and they continued for a while in silence, listening to the birds call. Once in a while a strange sound was heard and the true birds would become quiet. They were still unsure about the Pokémon. Some Pokémon would eat them (and vice versa), while others would not. The Pokémon spoke in human voices and yet were not two legged. This was the reason for the Riders Rule about being silent. The Venuse and Pokémon had made the rule that any Venuse out of the city would have to use telepathy. This would distinguish them from the Japanese, and Genga. They would always speak or use radicom, which most Pokémon can easily hear. Betsujin had it easy; as they look so different anyone can easily tell them for what they were.

    Ikkou, where do you think we should watch from? I do not really want to go very far.

    I think Centlivre would do fine. It has a good view, and much closer then the point of Hyndla Regio.

    And unlike many mountains on Venus it is a dormant volcano said Koji, smiling somewhat.

    Ikkou gave a rumbling chuckle, Yes, well you have to forgive Luna and Rican. Rican did not get very good grades in geography.

    Apparently.

    Ikkou chuckled again and stopped, turning sideways on the path. This was by far Koji's favourite of the old technologies. When the Venuse had first landed, they knew that to use Earth technology would be asking for trouble. So they invented tools to allow them to travel great distances, but still in little time. This was one of them.

    Koji reached down and first pressed two buttons on the front of the saddle and another pair at the back. The buttons retreated and out sprang four leather straps. Koji used these to strap himself on before pushing another smaller pair of buttons just in front of the previous ones, asking with his mind to turn on.

    The buttons sprang open, and out of each of the holes a light blue, glowing thread slid out. On each side they reached over Koji's legs and attached to one another. Then they grew wider, and wider. They soon formed two very thin, very long rectangles stretching out from either side of Ikkou's saddle. Then they thickened and refined their shape until they formed two light blue translucent wings. Ikkou 'called' to them and they shivered in response. He did a few experimental flaps to make sure they were working before folding them to his side.

    No matter how many times I see that happen, it still amazes me, said Koji as Ikkou broke into a jog, heading for a clearing.

    Same here Rider, same here.

    They reached the clearing rather quickly and Ikkou did a couple of circles to warm up his muscles. The wings did not use any muscles on Ikkou's body, but they did draw on his energy reserves. Not to mention he was required to run to get off the ground.

    Ikkou trotted a straight line next to a river, checking for any gopher holes (or Diglett as the case may be). Once the 'runway' was checked he turned and broke into a strange leaping gallop. People who were used to riding horses would find it very difficult to stay on. Instead of having a full out stretch of a normal gallop, Alvans did a small leap instead. They could run like a horse, but it was not very comfortable for them.

    Ikkou quickly sped up and when the trees were mostly a blur he made a giant leap. Flapping his wings rapidly they climbed upward, Koji grinning, and enthusiastically patting Ikkou's neck. Ikkou tossed his head downwards, so not to impale his poor rider. As they climbed to soaring altitude his mane flapped in the wind and his tail streamed out behind him. There was no mistaking an Alvan for what they were. They looked like an elk, but the males had a caribous white mane on the underside of their necks. All Alvans had a horses mane and tail. They were always long and luxurious as the Alvans took very good care of their fur and hair. Their antlers never shed and had a very long curving brow tine. The backward tine quickly arched upwards, so as to make it nearly impossible to knock their rider off. Their back tine rarely had any branches on the backside because that would be dangerous to the rider.

    There was no mistaking a Venuse either, though few people other then Betsujin had ever seen them. Their eye colour matched their station of work, or if they happened to be an ex criminal they were marked as such. So sometimes you would see a purple-eyed person, red, orange, among others. They were a solid colour as well, unlike real eye colour, which has lines, and varying shades of one colour. They did not have to have their eye colour changed (unless they were a criminal), but most did, as you did not need identification in most areas. Their ears were pointed as they had found that this improved hearing. Their hair colour could come in many shades as well, and it never faded out until the owner wanted it too.

    This was the limit to physical differences, the rest were internal. All their senses had been enhanced besides taste and touch. They also had done experiments on the human brain, and most people can now use telepathy, and some can use telekinesis. If a person was born without the ability to use their mind (which was few and far between now among the Venuse) a very small chip was implanted in their brain and they were able to use it to their full effect.

    Koji winced and took his sunglasses out of his vest pocket and put them on. Another technological advancement, they could show any information you wanted to know on the outside world, from time to wind speed. Ikkou meanwhile searched out thermals and let them raise him up higher, until he felt they were high enough not to be in any Pokémon airways. Then he straightened their path and headed almost due west of Venulinra, the Venuse home city.

    The volcano had fallen dormant when the terra forming of Venus had almost been complete and had remained so. It made a good scouting point, and neutral meeting site when Pokémon and Venuse relations were strained.

    It took them about ten minutes to reach the volcano. They landed on the rim, facing southward. Ikkou banished the wings. They shrunk back down into strings and retreated into the saddle. Koji did not take off his straps however, if Ikkou was right and the ship was in a bad way, he would need to be ready to go at a moment's notice.

    I don't supposed I'm aloud to talk here arm I?

    Don't be dumb, of course you are. This is an official meeting point so words are aloud. Ikkou said, scanning the Southern skies.

    "k'niht ot g'mivah fo deerit glneetteg saw i, duog ha" (A good, I was getting tired of having to think)

    Like I haven't heard that one before Koji, and there are no humans here. English is fine, my H'silgenee could use some work and I am feeling particularly lazy. I'd rather not have to think about what your saying.

    "Ok fine. But if we get caught, I'm blaming it on you. Captain Finra is always stressing how we should not speak English unless we are in the city or in a relations meeting."

    Captain Finra is an old duddard who is overdue for retirement. Not to mention he relies to heavily on Hira's judgement. Alvans don't know everything.

    Koji laughed, "He's overdue for retirement? Then what does that make me?" Koji dropped his voice, contempt and sadness lacing it, "A training device and old relic due to fall apart at any time?"

    Ikkou looked over at Koji, Koji you should learn to take a joke or two. You know what the others told you about how they knew when their time was near, even when they were not supposed to tell others. Your time is not anywhere near now.

    "That's the point Ikkou. That's the point." Koji whispered.

    Ikkou sighed and changed the subject; We are supposed to be scanning the Southern skies. The ship is due to enter the Venus atmosphere at 8am.

    "Right, right" he said, and checked his glasses, they said it was 7:45am.

    A couple of minutes later they could see a glow in the sky southwest of them. It was only a pinprick but in a span of ten minutes it soon grew to be the size of one of Venus's smaller moons.

    "Well, that's quite a sizable ship." Koji said, zooming in with his glasses, able to read the name on the side, Uchuubyou.

    Now what do you think they meant by that name?

    "Probably exactly what it means, you're in for a rough ride."

    Ikkou chuckled while Koji looked on. Everything appeared fine, portholes, thrusters, and other details becoming more visible. The halo of heat was almost gone when Koji saw what should have been impossible. The two smaller thrusters had ripped off the underside of the ship. Then when the two large flaps on the top rose to act as steering, they slowly tore and then ripped off the ship. All that was left was a ship that looked vaguely like a diving hawk, except with a sharks fin on top. The rear thruster was spent from the travel, not that a giant engine would have been much good anyway. It only aloud the ship to go straight forward, it had no steering capabilities.

    "Ikkou please tell me they have other means to steer that."

    You mean those two flashes were not meant to happen?

    "No. The top flaps tore away, and the small underside thrusters are missing."

    Ikkou threw up his head, Koji, send this to information to the Circle. That ship had only minimal steering left, they are going to be looking for a flat plain to crash land on. The Pokémon will have an absolute feeding frenzy if we don't get there first and claim them. The Betsujin will not be far behind.

    "Won't there be injured? I mean come on, Ikkou, the odds of people not being injured . . ."

    They have safe rooms; the passengers will be in there, in stasis. The only people who might be hurt are the crew, and they know how to strap them selves in, now MOVE!

    "Ok! O-hey!" Ikkou called up the wings again, and in flash they instantaneously formed. It took a lot of energy to do it, and it was obvious Ikkou was worried. He launched himself off the cliff face into the air, flapping wildly. Koji pushed on his earring and contacted the Circle, This is Koji calling upon a Circle member for immediate conversation. Emergency at hand, need to be advised.

    . . . This is Juna, what is your issue?

    'Oh thank the Stars'
    thought Koji privately; Juna was by far the most sensible of the Circle members, [i]The ship, Uchuubyou has lost both underside thrusters, and both steering flaps. It's going to aim for any open field it can find. At its angle odds are it won't be going far-

    The Gunda Planitia, there is a plain between the two ridges. At that angle it won't be getting anywhere near Tellus Tessera.

    Ikkou says the Gunda Planitia. I need permission to teleport in Wings; I'll probably need a lot, and Blinders as well.

    I'm guessing your asking permission to bring in the Genga as refugees?

    Obviously, the Pokémon and Betsujin will probably kill them, or . . . other things.

    Wait a moment . . .
    Juna absented herself while she conferred with the other members. Meanwhile Ikkou was flapping like never before, and he lengthened the wings mid flight (which caused a heart stopping drop for a few moments, but Koji was used to Ikkou's after thoughts, as it were). The ship was at a 75 degree angle to the ground, and having great difficulty levelling out. You have permission, the stockpile is open to you. Good luck.

    Thank you, out.
    Koji touched his earring again and leaned over Ikkou's shoulder to cut as much wind resistance as possible. Ikkou was going up at the same time as going forward to cut the distance. Koji could see flying Pokémon going crazy beneath him and Ikkou. They looked to be heading to the volcano they had just left.

    Thank goodness not many Psychic's live around here. The ones that do are not very powerful either, stated Koji as he watched the trees move as the land Pokémon representatives moved toward the crater as well.

    Indeed, but Flyers love this area. If we are not quick, the Genga will be on their own.

    Um, I think your trajectory of where that ship is going to crash is off Ikkou;
    Koji zoomed in on the ship, and saw how it had levelled off a little and tilted toward the left.

    Uh, I believe your right. Though I am the one without the glasses.

    Well it will crash near there. How soon can we get to the projected crash site?

    . . . A couple hours without jumping.

    "A couple hours!?! F-it I hate jumping but do it. Just . . . be careful will you?"

    Shut up would you?! We don't need to alert the Pokémon anything is wrong! Stop telling me to be careful. I've done jumps more times then I care to count.

    I'm sure they have eyes Ikkou, just go.

    There was a very good reason Koji didn't like jumping. It involved a short teleportation; items were mostly done, even over long distances. People really didn't like the idea of teleporting themselves. The technology may have been perfected, but if you didn't know exactly where you were going . . . well, bad things could happen.

    Ikkou concentrated on the space of air a couple of kilometres ahead of him. The jewel on his harness glowed and a split second later they were gone from there. Appearing about 10 kilometres ahead. Ikkou took a break before doing it again. Meanwhile the ship had somewhat levelled off, but its speed was incredible. The crew were lucky the ship hadn't flipped over. Great plumes of smoke were coming from where the flaps and thrusters had been. The ship ripped through the air towards the ground, it couldn't reduce its speed and both Koji and Ikkou watched as the crew desperately tried to level it out with the ground.

    The ship was only about 3000 metres above the ground when it finally levelled off, teetering side to side dangerously. It fell lower and lower, before finally crashing into the ground. The back engine ripped off in a screeching of metal and one of the wings buried itself in the ground. The ship did a one eighty spin, almost flipping over. Amazingly there were few flames and it came to a stop facing the way it had come, smoke pouring out of its holes, metal laying all over the track it had left in the ground.

    There has to be a few people killed in that. Ikkou think you could go lower? We don't want to be spotted.

    Yes, they are near Zija so I'll land on its rim and run down the rest of the way. We need the element of surprise.

    Indeed. Where are the Pokémon?
    Koji looked around and could see no Pokémon around them.

    They probably realize we will get there first and hopefully have given up.

    Hopefully is the key word here.

    It took about an hour to get to Zija with jumping. They could both see people and Nillian swarming around the crash site, not really looking like they were doing anything useful. Thankfully Ikkou was low enough that when they landed on the volcanoes rim it didn't appear they had spotted them.

    They travelled down the rim and entered the canyon that would lead them to the plain. Koji noticed that the woods here were deathly quiet. Ok Ikkou, I think the Pokémon are here, but why haven't they done anything? He got out his cross bow as a precaution.

    I'm not sure . . . wait, here-

    Through the trees Koji saw an orange and tan blur heading towards them. It zipped around the trees with such agility it was obvious that this Pokémon was no traveller, this was its home territory. When it stopped in front of Koji and Ikkou, he towered over them. Only sitting on Ikkou's back was Koji able to look directly into his face.

    "Welcome Koji and Ikkou. I trust you are here to take the Genga's?" rumbled the large canine, his voice emerging from deep within his throat.

    Both Koji and Ikkou blinked, this was by far one of the most intelligent of Pokémon they had ever run across. It was a good thing too; with those canines he could wreak some serious damage, not to mention he looked to be a Fire type. He has black jagged stripes all over its body, and its cream coloured mane was very large, suggesting his high rank. Plumes of the cream coloured fur grew out of his elbow, and just below the knee joint on its back legs. It tail was also very large, and the hair was slightly curly. His fur looked to be very clean, it was obvious this Pokémon cared about his looks.

    "Yes we are, and who might you be?" asked Koji, trying not to show how intimidated he was.

    The large dog smiled, revealing even more teeth. "I am called Eno Esew by my pack. I am what the Japanese would call Uindie, Arcanine by the once western world. I am grateful you came so quickly; I have been having trouble controlling the Pokémon here. They desperately want to attack the Genga."

    Ikkou spoke up; it was common curtsey for Alvans to speak to Pokémon, since they went through the trouble themselves of speaking. His voice sounded like he had an extremely soar throat. "Aaaand you do not?"

    Eno Esew looked sad for a moment. "I would, but these are not the ones who stole my pups a decade ago. They have done me no harm. I figured the Venuse would want them, and so I have been controlling the local Pokémon as best I could. The other sovereigns agree with me on this, except for the Mightyena and Houndoom. The Umbreon and Absol around here are controlling them as best they can, but they will only listen to a Tyranitars word." He sighed, "And the only Tyranitar that lives around his hasn't been seen for ages, we suspect he is dead."

    "Right well we'll get them out of your hair as fast as possible. If you could keep them at bay for at least an hour I think we will be gone."

    "Consider it done." said Eno Esew, bowing to the two of them. "May your pack be strong, and the hunting good."

    "Swift and stealthy may you be, and melodious be your voice." said Koji and Ikkou, bowing in turn.

    Eno Esew nodded and they both sprang in opposite directions. Koji and Ikkou toward the Genga, and Eno Esew to help control the Pokémon.

    [font=garamond]I'll get some maps on Venus if people want them. The names I used are actually geographical locations on Venus. I'll try to be so long next time, anyway here is the next random factoid.

    Random Fact of the Chapter

    Caribbean Sunset and Rise
    Only places on the Equator (mostly the Caribbean) can you see green in the sky when the sun is rising, or setting. I found out this fact when looking for information on the leaders of Spain during Christopher Columbus's time. O.o''' The total randomness of the Internet . . .
    On second thought, maybe not so random. Christopher Columbus first stop when he 'found' North America was in the Caribbean. Still . . . it is rather odd . . .

    Default Re: The Venuse: Fading

    That was a long winding chapter...but I managed to understand it. And quite enjoyable to read.

    Well, at least what I would like to comment are the typing error. I don't know if you realized this, but you typed "aloud" where it should be "allowed". I don't know if I am the one who read it wrongly, but maybe you should look up to it. A quick double reading of the fic could help detect some typos.

    And another thing, about these words:

    "k'niht ot g'mivah fo deerit glneetteg saw i, duog ha" (A good, I was getting tired of having to think)

    This is backward talking, right? :p

    Other than that, its pretty good. Other than a few error, a few words that are used are well used, like the last one with Eno Esew. Oh yeah, wonder how you could come up with all the setting and stuff.

    Anyway Asayake, you are a girl? Man, I thought you were a guy... :p.

    Alright, keep on writing, even when no one is replying at the time because of the love of writing. Yeah, I know new writer gets few reply on their first fic. I hope to see more of this fanfic. And please post the Venus map, I would like to see it.

    P/S: I hope you also reply for the fanfic reviewer organization to Gavin Luper. Man, I should start reviewing for the fic...

    Please take it easy~
