Default Chris 2.0 VS MeLoveGhosts: Ref - The Blue Avenger

    Ok I need a 1-1 battle!

I'm using Rastoco, my Male Pichu! Let's go little dude. Anyone feel free to send out whatever you want against him, we'll do our best to fight back!

The arena is a small clearing by the side of a rippling lake. It's quite a peaceful day. There are trees for the Pokemon to clamber up.

    You post attacks first

    There are no banned moves

There is no official DQ Time

Ok then! Come on Rastoco, let's wait for an opponent

I'll battle you. I have a free spot. I'll go for fair battle and choose Hermes my male Hoothoot.

    EDIT: Whoops forgot my attacks:

Ok Hermes lets win this battle! First start off by dumping a Toxic onto the Pichu, then fire a Mud Slap to lower its accuracy and score a super effective move, end the round with Hypnosis.

Toxic ~ Mud Slap ~ Hypnosis

Interesting choice. Rastoco use double team, then use charge to boost your next move and end with shock wave

    Round 1... begin!

It's a nice, quiet, breezy day on the serene lake. Two trainers find each other and stand next to a lone picnic table, each one throwing a small red and white ball to the ground. One reveals a small, slightly sparking Pichu, while the other reveals a calm Hoothoot, who is tipping his head back and forth quietly. However, at the sound of the Pokeballs opening, a crowd immediately gathers out of nowhere to see the match. The serenity broken, the match begins.
Hermes, the Hoothoot, closes his eyes and shudders as he coughs up a sticky, slimy ucky ball of goo. He takes aim at Rastoco, but to his dismay, there are now five Pichu standing where there previosuly was one. Hermes scowls and takes a pot-shot; the Toxic flies through the air and passes through a Pichu. The Pichu fades as the Toxic falls to the ground, sizzling.
Meanwhile, the 4 remaining Pichu grin as they begin to spark even more. A sphere of electrical energy surrounds each one, prepping the mice for their next electric attack. Meanwhile, Hermes flies closer to shore and kicks up a good sized ball of muck. He hurls it at another Pichu, but unluckily enough, the mud flies through yet another clone and falls harmlessly to the ground.
All of the Rastoco glance at Hermes, eager to release their pent-up electrical energy... and so they do so. The Shock Wave zips through the air, powered up beyond normal conventions and strikes Hermes extra-hard not only because of the charge, but also because of the type advantage. As Hermes pulls himself back up, he stares deeply into the eyes of a Rastoco. He sends a few mild Psychic waves towards the Pichu, hoping to send it to sleep... but once again, he manages to hit the wrong one. He stamps the ground in frustration as the round ends.

    End!

First use Aerial Ace and hit him hard, then use a Whirlwind and blow all the copies away, then finish with a Toxic.

    Round 2... begin!

Hermes seethes as the next round begins, having failed to cause any damage to his foe at all. He focuses on the two remaining Pichu in front of him, and takes a few steps back: the Hoothoot then launches into flight and skims the ground, somehow knowing which Pichu to hit. However, before he can strike, Rastoco fans out into another line of clones, leaving six Pichu where there previously were 2. Hoothoot scowls, but does not change his trajectory: he knows that he is still homed in on the correct target. As he connects with one of the Pichu, Hermes is not disappointed; he smacks the real Rastoco hard, sending the Pichu toppling back, as well as dissipating all of the clones. Rastoco slowly picks himself back up and growls quietly.
As Rastoco regains his composure, Hermes begins to flap his small wings hard. Before Rastoco can react, a sharp wind picks up around the Pichu, eventually transforming into a full-fledged Whirlwind. It tosses Rastoco around, eventually sending him flying up. The whirlwind disappears as the Pichu hits the ground. Rastoco gets up slowly, trying his best to look as cute as possible, and fortunately for him, Hermes begins to be affected by it. The Hoothoot suddenly begins to feel guilty about physically attacking such a small thing.
However, the Charm doesn't affect his next action: Hermes coughs up another blob of toxic goo and spits it across the field. At the same time, Rastoco begins to spark and sends a single tendril of blue electricity arcing at Hermes. The two attacks hit at approximately the same time, both inflicting a negative status effect on the fighters.
Unfortunately for Rastoco, he can already feel the poison start to kick in.

    End!

    Round 3... begin!

Rastoco, the speedy little thing that he is, zips to a start this round. He curls into a tight ball and hurls himself at Hermes. Hermes, being paralyzed, isn't left with much time to react before he is bowled over by the rolling Pichu. Rastoco uses the momentum to bounce into the air and land neatly on Hermes' back, grabbing hold. Finally able to move, Hermes scowls and leers at Rastoco, shouting rather obscene phrases and several insults concerning Rastoco's mother. The Pichu gets infuriated, although confused as well - some of the insults didn't make a lot of sense - and digs his small claws into Hermes' back, causing the Hoothoot to yelp.
Rastoco then begins to store a stockpile of electrical energy in his body, but in his confusion, he accidentally releases the charge early. Not only does this cause mild electrical damage to Hermes, but as it was unexpected to Rastoco as well, the Pichu receives a little kickback damage. Meanwhile, Hermes closes his eyes and focuses. Enevloping himself in a purple glow, he mentally locates Rastoco and grabs him. Wincing as the Pichu's claws rake across his skin, Hermes hurls Rastoco into the air.
As he falls across the arena, Rastoco charges for a split second and summons a gigantic bolt of electricity. The lightning dances across the sky until it reaches the hapless Hermes, whereupon it strikes him, frying him to a crisp. This doesn't help Hermes' paralysis, which is already preventing him from moving for the time being. Without anythng hitting him, Rastoco lands on the ground with a minimum of fuss.
The poison continues to eat away at Rastoco as the round ends.

    End!

First use Foresight and get rid of all the copies, then set up a Reflect that will hold two little shockwaves, then finish with a really strong Double Egde.

    Foresight ~ Reflect ~ Double-edge.

Subs: Incase the Reflect breaks after the first attack, use a Faint attack and dissapear before the Shock Wave can hit you and strike the little electric mouse!

Reflect/Lightscreen can hold two small attacks or one big attack.

They reduce the power of attacks but cannot 'hold' an attack, and shock wave, like aerial ace and swift, never misses.

I'm aware of that, but I have seen people ref this as a shield that 'holds' attacks. Reffering to my battle with Dark Skrutsi that Weasel Overlord refs.

    Round 4... begin!

The two Pokemon, both now debilitated in their own ways, return to the battle at hand. Rastoco, not being paralyzed, easily scores initiative. He prepares to use a Double Team to confuse his foe, but in the process of focusing and creating clones, Rastoco manages to trip over his own feet, hurting himself slightly in confusion. Meanwhile, Hermes isn't faring much better; the paralysis has left him immobile for the moment.
Rastoco, somewhat hesitantly, gets back up and starts to charge a bolt of electrical energy. He fires it off, and it zigzags through the air, straight toward his foe, Hermes. Hermes, unfortunately, can't even try to dodge the attack, for a variety of reasons: 1. It's Shock Wave, which doesn't miss. 2. Hermes is once again fully paralyzed. The lightning bolt cares about none of this and viciously strikes Hermes, Kentucky frying him. Hermes haltingly gets back to his feet and scowls.
Rastoco, happy in his success, prepares to do the same thing again... but this time, the electricity he charges discharges a bit to early, short-circuiting the poor Pichu due to his confusion. Meanwhile, Hermes, finally able to move, sinks slowly into the shadows of the arena. Trainer and Pokemon are both on edge as they impatiently await the Hoothoot's reappearance, when suddenly, Hermes bursts from the shade and tackles the Pichu, enveloped in dark energy. Rastoco tumbles over, the shock curing him of his confusion.

    End!

    *growls* Bloody paralyze.

Start off with a Hypnosis and try to put Racasto to sleep. Then use a Dreameater if it worked, otherwise use a Facade and avenge your paralyze. Finish off with a Dreameater again if it's still asleep, otherwise use a Confusion and confuse it once more!

    1) Hypnosis
    2) Dreameater (Sub; Facade)

    Round 5... begin!

This battle jumps off to a quick start as Rastoco shuts his eyes, placing all his trust in his electricity. He crackles with electrical energy as sparks fly around him before sending a bolt of lightning into the sky. It bolts (harhar pun) across the field, immediately homing in on its target: one unfortunate Hoothoot. The bolt strikes, sending a harsh electrical shock running through Hermes' body. Hermes tries to counterattack with an alluring Hypnosis, but is prevented by the paralysis in his body halting him. Rastoco slowly opens his eyes upon sensing no attack.
Rastoco continues on to send more electrical energy coursing through his body. Sparks play across him as he charges up electrical energy for a devastating attack. Hermes, meanwhile, charges up for a different attack: the Hoothoot closes his eyes and focuses on the paralysis crippling him. Suddenly renewed with a fresh surge on anger, Hermes dashes across the field at an incredible speed, smacking Rastoco hard with a wing. The power boost Hermes received from being paralyzed is just enough to momentarily counter the attack drop he suffered earlier, and so the Facade deals respectable damage.
Even though he's been knocked away, Rastoco still retains his charge. As he picks himself back up, he glares at Hermes and channels the electricity crackling around him into a massive bolt. Much like the Shock Wave, the Thunderbolt arcs across the sky and lands perfectly on Hermes. Hermes coughs up a cloud of smoke as he prepares his counter. Closing his big red eyes, Hermes focuses his mild psychic abilities and fires a translucent wave of confounding Psychic energy at the Pichu. Rastoco takes the attack and topples over, although not quite as severely confused as in past rounds.

    End!

As he does Shockwave counter it with a Nightshade right at it to counter in a powerstrike! Next as he does raindance put him asleep with Hypnosis! Then Dreameater! If he is by some way not asleep then use a Detect!

    (Detect is not protect )

    Nightshade ~ Hypnosis ~ Dreameater

    Sub: Detect

The paralyze better not kick in now. It has already kicked in to much *sobs*

Rastoco begins this round by smacking himself on the face several times. An odd strategy, to be sure, but it seems to have worked: the Pichu, when finished, glances around, more aware of his surroundings. However, as a consequence of his attack boost, he slaps himself a little harder than necessary... meanwhile, Hermes just sits there, fuming, as the paralysis prevents him from moving. Again.
Rastoco, now not debilitated, begins to chant in some arcane, long forgotten language. To accentuate the spell, he starts hopping around in a circle, in some foreign, exotic dance. Apparently, Rainy McGod in the sky hears Rastoco's prayers, because the sky, rather suddenly, becomes swathed with clouds. Also rather suddenly, the clouds open up, drenching the arena with a downpour and scaring off all the spectators. Meanwhile, Hermes just sits there, fuming, as the paralysis prevents him from moving. Again.
Rastoco grins as he prepares to launch his ultimate attack... his body, most particularly his red cheeks, begin to spark as electricity jumps all over the Pichu's skin. rastoco gestures to the sky, and an enourmous bolt of electrical energy erupts from Rastoco's body into the air. It travels swiftly across the sky, carried by the raindrops, until it reaches Hermes... the bolt takes a nosedive as it rushes towards its target. A loud crash reverberates throughout the arena as the Thunder attack hits... the ground. Apparently, just moments before the attack landed, Hermes broke free of paralysis and took two steps to the side, deftly avoiding the attack.

    End!

Dude, this'll go in the history as the match that had the most paraylze-ness.

First use a Nightshade and fire it off to the nice little creature. Then use Psychic and throw him in the water. Finish off with Facade, let Racasto feel how much you hate the paralyze (I would myself I were a pokemon). If he uses Thunder again use Flash to blinden Racasto, if he shuts his eyes, fine, he can't aim then.

    Nightshade ~ Psychic ~ Facade

    Subs: Flash.

Encore so it repeats Nightshade, then use thunder x2. If encore fails, for whatever reason, then use protect and then shock wave.

    Round 7... begin!

This match is definitely nearing an end. Both Pokemon seem incredibly tired, but nevertheless, they plunge right back into the fray. Rastoco is under careful orders to perform his action after Hermes moves, and so he drops into an alert crouch. Breaking free of the paralysis that plagues him for the moment, Hermes draws his wings to his head and fires a dark purple beam of sinister energy from his beak. It strikes Rastoco head-on, knocking the Pichu back. However, Rastoco gets back up, undaunted - he begins to clap his paws together wildly as the sky darkens. A beam of light shines down from the heavens and illuminates Hermes as the sound of applause fills the arena. Hermes takes in all of this praise and grins.
Rastoco sneers and crouches again, this time charging up some more electricity. Using his natural speed advantage, he fires it off before Hermes can react, and the massive bolt flies across the sky, being conducted excellently by the rainfall. It strikes the immobile Hermes, whose paralysis has decided to rear its ugly head once more. With no choice but to bear it out, Hermes grimaces as the electricity courses through his body.
Of course, not content with that, Rastoco decides to do it again. Another Thunder attack races across the arena and strikes Hermes, leaving the Hoothoot charred and smoking. Hermes once again finds himself immobile.
As the round ends, the poison eats away at Rastoco... the Pichu keels over, finally succumbing to the Toxic.

    End!

    -Team 2.0-
    Rastoco (male Pichu)
    HP: 0% | EN: 0% | Status: Fainted

    -Team MLG-

Okay! This match is a wrap! I declare MeLoveGhosts and Hermes the winners! Congratulations!
