So the other day I decide to play silver (don't ask). Then when I start it up, my save file had been deleted, and now whenever I try to start a new game it deletes the file as soon as a shut the game off. WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY GAME!!!!!!!

Jeez, this seems to be happening more and more...
It sounds similar to a problem that many other people are having. This thread has some of the discussion that has taken place in regards to such glitches. (If you just want the relevant material, you can probably skip the first few posts.)
