The Einherjar Project

Project Report, May 15th 2083

Due to the rise in power and influence of corporations, and also due to a group of terrorists, the political tensions between the United States and other countries are beginning to rise. Therefore, on January 12th, 2082, Congress passed the bill that caused this project to come to fruition, giving the Military forces unparralelled freedom in research and development. Formed to research the potential of a cybernetically endowed strike force that would not officially exist, we have reached the final stages of testing. This final step is to implement our research upon subjects of varying age and gender, obtained through covert means, most of whom were either crippled in some form of accident, or needed some small amount of surgery, and having them pronounced dead due to complications.

We shall have the subjects collected within a week, after which, we shall provide a further report.

You are a "Subject" of the Einherjar Project, a top secret government project to test the potential of a strike squad of cybernetically enhanced humans. However, they made the decision to NOT use military personnel, but innocent people they could safely make vanish. Finding yourself in a body made of motors, Tungsten alloy endo skeleton, artificial carbon-fiber muscles and other artificial materials, you are trapped in a role you did not choose, and, most likely, do not want.

Gender: Female
Age:16
Looks: She's roughly 5'4", with long crimson hair accompanying her green eyes. She bears an athletic looking build, though in truth, she was rather thin before being used in the project. She wears tight brown shorts with a green T-shirt as casual wear. She can usually be seen with a rather null expression, not letting her facial features betray her emotions.
Personality: In a word, tough, growing up on the streets and daily trying to survive has hardened her. While she may experience the same emotions as others, she diligently attempts to keep them from affecting her judgement. However, she does have some soft spots, most noticeably, she likes kids.
History: Growing up in slums, Amelia was not the luckiest of children, and at the age of twelve, she ran away from home, her parents not even attempting to find her. Since then, she's wandered a bit, stealing and beating up people to get money and food. Before being grabbed for the project, she'd jacked a car, and in the process, gotten into a horrible wreck. Her body broken and shattered, the emergency hospital didn't expect her to live the week when she was grabbed. She litterally owes her life to the project...

Age: Twenty
Looks: With short cut black hair and a thick chin he looks almost like some one you would find in the military. His height is around six foot, two inches, with deep brown eyes and a athletic build and a tan on his skin. He wears jeans and a colared brown shirt with white stripes going across it, while he has a white undershirt underneath his shirt.
Personality: He has a easy layed back personality, he is the type that you would most likely find smoking a cigarette or weed behind the field house with his friends after a football game. He likes to joke around and is a bit high on himself, yet he will fight or get into a fight very easily when provoked.
History: Lived in a middle class family, and grew up playing American football and baseball, he was the Querterback in High School and the Prom King. He got accepted into a pretty nice college and although he doesn't play football or baseball anymore, he still works out and keeps in shape. Basically right now he has everything going for him at this moment

Name: Joseph Riegert

Age: 24
Looks: Joseph is an average looking man. The kind of person that you could run into and completely forget about the second their gone. He stands at an unassuming 6'0" tall and has sandy blond hair that is kept short and straight. His eyes are a mournful brown that sometimes seem empty if he is not actively expressing himself.
Personality: Indifferent is the dominating feature of his personality. He has come to terms that lots of things have gone badly for him in life and none of them are truly anyones fault. With no one to blame he has fallen into a depressive rutt where he generally just accepts whatever happens to him with indifference. He does, however, get riled up and angry when bad things are done to other people. He just doesn't care anymore when they happen to him.
History: Joseph was born into a lower middle class family. They always provided the essentials for life but little else. He grew up in a suburb of Chicago. When he was 8 his mother died in a freak railway accident where the train derailed because one of the rails broke for no real reason. When he was 13 his only true friend moved away because their father got a promotion. At 16 his father died in a car accident because of a freak mudslide after a rain storm. At 18, with no direction in life and no family to call upon Joseph decided to join the army. He was pretty fit for an 18 year old even though he didn't play sports so he thought it might give him some direction. Or at least a home for a few years. His short military career was fairly dull. When he was 20 he participated in a war game. During the war game, someone accidentally got issued live amunition and a stray round from the to this day unidentified individual shattered the bone in his upper right leg. They had to amputate and he received a medical discharge shortly thereafter. He spent the next two years in a bout of deep depression in a VA hospital. Finally one day he decided he just didn't care anymore and he signed himself out of the VA. He has since gotten by with his disability checks from the Army as well as taking a job telemarketing. His level of indifference with his life had reached an all time high when he was abducted for the Einherjar Project.

Name: Norton Jacobs
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Looks: A thin, wiry kind of guy with a pointed nose. He's a straight-up nerd gamer; Stands at 5'3", doesn't stand straight, and has messy black hair (sort of like Harry Potter's, but shorter). He's usually seen in a raggy T-shirt with a dragon or some anime character on it, or even the occasional shirt that says funny stuff like, "You know what your problem is? You're stupid." He usually wears shorts, even in the winter, since he doesn't get out of his house much.
Personality: EXTREMELY figity and twitchy. He looks down at his feet when going from class to class, and usually doesn't say much. He just wants to go back to his huge room and play with electronics. He's not extremely intelligent with programming, though he loves to take things apart and put them together again, such as TV's, radio's, and even game consoles. He does, however, get hyperactively pissed off when something or someone pushes him too far. He's sort of like a ticking time bomb in that sense.
History: Norton was born in a very wealthy family, and basically had everything he could imagine at his disposal. His father was a very well known doctor, until he was murdered by one of his crazed patients. The effects on Norton was little, since he barely knew his father. He doesn't really know his mother all that well either. Having a large mansion for a house didn't help the lacking of human communication between the family members. Norton was able to go for weeks at a time without seeing his mother!

That was probably the reason why Norton's mother didn't know that he tried to commit suicide.

Norton had two friends: Jason and Tyler. Jason had gotten drunk and drove his truck over the side of a cliff, and in a fit of depression Tyler hung himself. Norton became so depressed that it began to affect his schoolwork, and the people around him. Whatever energy he possessed in his body was depleted. He sat in his room on most days and nights, not speaking, eating little, and doing what he liked to do: Take things apart, put them together. Play videogames. More taking things apart. He would sleep most nights, however his distant mother could of sworn she heard him screaming sometimes, about once a week.
He began to lose focus in things, hitting walls with his shoulders without bothering to look back. His problems weren't serious. He mainly just wanted to die. It was at this point the Project team decided to work on poor Norton's body. They abducted him on the way home one night, and since then no one has seen him recently...

so what is the situation? his body is rotted from electrocution, he's not dead. They fix him up here or there and artificially strengthen his muscle tissue, he's fine...

Electrocution doesn't just affect the body, it has effects upon the nervous system as well as the heart. he would be dead before the police could even arrive. I may seem anal, but seriously, electrocution like that is far deadlier than a lot of people think.

Electrocution for that period of time would literally cook your internal organs. Perhaps his mother (or since you said it is a very wealthy family perhaps the maid or some other house staff) noticed the lights flickering or something to that effect and discovered him after only 20 seconds or so. Even that much time would be enough to cause permanent damage to your neural system and significant damage to some of your organs while leaving a small but legitimate chance for 'survival'. Anything beyond 30 or 40 seconds though and there'd be too much damage to make resuscitation possible. Would this be an acceptable compromise to both of you?

Sure, electrocution will work, if you throw in some Deus Ex Machina like having the circuit breaker being tripped.

Okay, I changed it. Basically, he's suicidal and probably anemic. His mind is slowly going...he screams in a fit of rage once a week in his room. But what he wants to hurt or destroy he isn't sure, which just gets him even more mad. The rest, I suppose you could just read it.

Name: Gabe Garrett
Gender: Male
Age: 24
Looks: 6'4" tall and, prior to the project, rather overweight, though the project removed all of the fat and left him looking quite muscular. His hair is a rather dusty-looking black, which lacks the shine of normal hair, and is cut rather short. His eyes are very dark brown, and against his pale skin, for his genetics do not support tanning, his eyes sometimes look the same color as his hair.
Personality: Calm and sure of himself, but not confident enough to display anything he belives he is skilled at. Generally gentle and quiet, he does have a limit to his patience and tends to toss people by their necks in the process, though if he doesn't think he can toss them, he just lays a punch across the side of their head. Gabe is smarter than most people think, but his mind is always busy.
History: Gabe grew up in a middle-class home, and had a rather average childhood, though despite his size, he dissapointed many coaches by refusing to participate in football or wrestling. He much preferred hapkido, which he did very well at until he graduated, when he ended up working in a factory building construction equipment, which made him grow stronger, but his appetite increased suddenly and he began eating more food than he needed, gaining quite a bit of weight. He had been working for nearly six years when he was involved in an accident. He had been standing between a railing and a grinding machine, when the crane above the machine broke and bent Gabe backwards over the rail, breaking his back and cutting up his chest. He was rushed to the hospital, and that was where he was abducted.
