Arena: Simple Grass Field
DQ: One Week
What if I choose your first pokemon and you'll choose mine? The second one is up to us. I have a female Bulbasaur, a male Pichu and Scyther and a Starmie.
I choose your Misdreavus.
Hey, guys! Need a referee? I'll take the job, if you want.
Righto, let's go with your Scyther, I thinks!
I'll start off by using a Thunderwave, then follow up with a Shockwave and finish off with an Ariel Ace.
Ok then.
Finus, start with Agility to evade the TW. Then, continue with Swagger and finish with Silver Wind.
(shrugs)
I didn't hear a 'no.'
OK, let's do this!

We're here on a lovely grass meadow just west of Ecruteak City, where a lone Trainer by the name of Blademaster has laid down for a nap. Leaning his head against a shady tree, he dreams of one day becoming a great Trainer and Writer, as well as to cure those nagging voices within his head and... oh, wait... Forget I said that.
However, the young man's dreams are interrupted when two other Trainers - Spike, the Elite Trainer, and Andrew, the gender-confused Moderator (lol), step up and prepare for a battle. Releasing a Scyther named Finus and a Misdreavus named... well, Misdreavus (respectively), the 2 stare each other down, ready to fight. Sighing, the now-awake Blademaster steps up and says in a slightly high-pitched and scratchy voice:
"OK, you two, I want a good clean fight! Obey my commands at all times. Now, let's get it on!"
A wrestling bell dings somewhere in the background, and the battle is underway. As the two Pokemon size each other up, their Trainers shout their commands.
Misdreavus makes the first move, sparks dancing around her ghostly body as she attempts to immobilize Finus. But Finus is already on the move, his muscles tensed and waiting for the right time...
Misdreavus fires a blast of highly charged energy from the gem on her neck, straight at Finus. Seeing his oppurtunity, the Mantis zips forward, right around the electrical blast, which slams into a rock and vanishes with a crackle of energy. Misdreavus scowls and glares at Finus, who smirks and crosses his scythes. Misdreavus grunts and collects the remainder of her electrical energy, when she hears a taunting noise. She looks over at Finus, who has turned his claws over and is now pointing them upward at Misdreavus. Misdreavus gasps and turns red, furious at Finus' obscene gesture, and she quickly blasts her electrical attack at Finus, who cries out as it hits him, a bit weaker and less focused than normal, but still quite painful.
Misdreavus, now in a brief frenzy, disregards her Trainer's final command and charges at Finus, hoping to deal some major damage to him with a head-on attack. But Finus just grins and lifts off the ground, flapping his wings at amazing speeds. Within seconds, a silver whirlwind slams into Misdreavus, knocking her back 10 feet. Misdreavus groans and shakes her head - that Silver Wind had a silver lining, it seems: Misdreavus is calm and no longer confused.

Good job, Finus. Now, start with Safeguard, then move around quickly and make some clones with Double Team. Finish with a quick Wing Attack.
Thank you for the quick reffing
Missy, use a SNATCH to get that delightful guard.
Then, wait till he uses Double Team to use a Shockwave and finish off by using a Toxic in his face when he comes at you with a Wing Attack.
Snatch - Shockwave - Toxic
Sorry, I also forgot, Missy is called OzMissy and I am also not gender confused!
Sorry, Andrew, couldn't resist.
Also, I checked the ASB Move List, and the exact wording for Snatch is this:
"Snatch (DK) – The user places a curse on the opponent which prevents them from using any recovery moves or status boosting attacks on themselves for the next few rounds. If the victim does use one, then the Snatch-er gains the benefits."
Yeahhh... just letting you know, since Safeguard doesn't technically recover HP or improve any stats, so if you wanna change that...
-Blade
Well, then, since they are using a Status boosting move (Which will prevent any wrongdoings) shouldn't I... you know, get that benifet then?
If not, torment it so then it won't be able to use Safeguard.
Hoorah! Time to be the prettiest princess int he land! *Off to a real life wedding*

Releasing a Scyther named Finus and a Misdreavus named OzMissy (respectively), the 2 stared each other down, ready to fight. Kind-hearted Blademaster, always happy to help those in need, agreed to serve as a referee. Aren't you all lucky to have him around?
As the two Pokemon sized each other up, their Trainers shouted their second set of commands.
Finus makes the first move this time, a single point of white light appearing atop his head before expanding and sliding down his body, coating him with a veil of protective white light... But wait. OzMissy is also glowing, albeit with a shadowy aura. The Ghost's dark veil turns white before vanishing, and Finus' white veil turns dark before vanishing. OzMissy smiles slightly - it seems her Snatch has worked, to an extent.
Finus glares at OzMissy before smirking himself; another white glow surrounds his body, but this time, it doesn't change color. Two copies of the Scyther appear on either side of him. The 3 clones smirk at OzMissy, just waiting for her to attack...
Obviously, this Mantis doesn't know that he should be careful what he wishes for - sparks dance around OzMissy's neckalce and soon culminate into a single ball of eletrical energy, which bursts outward and ripples across the field, slamming into the 3 Scythers. The Scyther to OzMissy's left cries out and topples over, causing the other two to vanish.
Now fuming, Finus gets back up. The ninjalike Bug lifts off the ground and zips forward and tears past OzMissy, slicing through her ectoplasmic form with his knife-edged wings, giving the Ghost a serious razor burn.
OzMissy winces at the stinging pain; her eyes glow a cloudy purple as she prepares her final attack of the round. Gathering all the darkness and pain she is feeling, she conjures a unique chemical weapon within her throat, transforming her negative emotions into a physical, tangible form - a powerful poison, which she compresses into a small globule. Spinning around to face Finus, who has come to rest behind her, she quickly takes aim and spits the poionous bomb at Finus, hitting him square on the back. Finus cries out in pain as the poision splatters over him, seeping through his exoskeleton and working its way into his system... Yuck.

Kind-hearted Blademaster, always happy to help those in need, agreed to serve as a referee. Aren't you all lucky to have him around?
As the two Pokemon sized each other up, their Trainers shouted their third set of commands.
Finus makes the first move again, once again conjuring a point of white light atop his head, which expands and slides down his body, coating him with a veil of protective white light...
OzMissy, though, doesn't notice this - she's busy conjuring her own attack. A purplish aura surrounds her ethereal body; her eyes turn jet-black as a beam of shadowy energy courses through them, firing at Finus and slamming into his chest. Finus smirks, though - he didn't feel a thing...
Realizing her attack failed, an irritated OzMissy gathers sparks around her body, collecting and focusing them in her necklacelike gems and then firing them at Finus, striking the Scyther head-on! He howls as the electricity courses through him, causing his muscles to tense up.
Finus thinks back, recalling his next command... Mimic Shadow Ball...
Finus looks confused.
'What Shadow Ball?' he thinks, crossing his lances over his chest and focusing. He struggles to remember; energy begins coursing through him...
...
Meanwhile, OzMissy begins collecting more ghostly energy within her, all too happy to answer Finus' question...
KA-ZZZZZZZZZZZAT!!
Before she can finish, though, OzMissy screeches in pain as she feels herself being electrocuted. She opens her eyes - and sees a grinning Finus, who has Mimicked - and used - his own Thunderbolt!
Fuming, OzMissy fires her amassed energy, which coalesces into a black sphere that spirals straight at Finus...
But Finus isn't effected - he begins to glow with a white light, before retreating back to his Poke Ball, leaving a yellowish staff behind. Shadow Ball keeps going and flies off beyond the hill, gone from sight in seconds.
The yellowish staff Finus left behind begins to glow white; in a flash of light, a new Pokemon leaps forth from one of Spike's Poke Balls. Why, it's Roses, the Bulbasaur! And she looks serious.
OzMissy looks flustered - she has another opponent to deal with... Terrific...

Double Team (eyes closed) - Rain Dance - Shadow Ball
We're here on a lovely grass meadow just west of Ecruteak City, where two other Trainers - Spike, the Elite Trainer, and Andrew, the Moderator, stepped up and prepared for a battle. Releasing a Bulbasaur named Roses and a Misdreavus named OzMissy (respectively), the 2 stared each other down, ready to fight. Kind-hearted Blademaster, always happy to help those in need, agreed to serve as a referee. Aren't you all lucky to have him around?
As the two Pokemon sized each other up, their Trainers shouted their commands once again...
OzMisst starts the round off by descending into a state of concentration, a faint white glow surrounding her ghostly body as a hologramlike duplicate appears to either side of her. The 3 Misdreavus smirk wickedly at Roses, looking like the 3 Wierd Sisters from Macbeth. Spooky...
Roses, however, isn't focusing on the clones - rather, she is busy focusing the poisonous spores within her bulb into a single mass of posion, which she expels from the top of her bulb. The orb of poison strikes the ground before the 3 Misdreavus and bursts into a cloud of toxic spores. The 3 Misdreavus cough and choke as they inhale some of the powder; the 2 outer Misdreavus vanish, leaving poor, poisoned OzMissy...
But wait! What is this?
Yes, as the spores disperse, OzMissy is revealed to be unharmed! A stray spore or 2 in her eyes and mouth might've done a little damage, but OzMissy is still Safeguarded, nullifying Roses' poison-inducing side effects! Tough break for Roses...
Roses snorts and begins drawing energy into her bulb from the air, creating her own heat source. She focuses the heat energy into a laserlike beam, which she fires up into the sky; the light bursts, dispersing every cloud within a mile of the battlefield. Now, only sunlight streams down over the grassy knoll...
KRA-KOWOOM!
Or, maybe not. Roses gasps in anguish as dark stormclouds begin forming over the field, issuing thunder and lightning. A few drops of water fall, and then more and more, until an utter downpour has blanketed the field. Roses looks stunned... until she glances at her opponent, whose eyes are glowing with a faint blue aura. As the aura fades, OzMissy casts a superior smirk at Roses.
Roses seethes with fury - this just isn't her day! Closing her eyes and focusing on her poison again, she gathers more venomous powder within her bulb, but this time a few other choice chemicals mix with it, transforming it from a poisonous smoke bomb into a glob of sticky, tarlike slime.
Meanwhile, OzMissy is conjuring her own weapon - amassing energy from every shadow around her (which is quite a lot, considering the huge dark clouds overhead), she eventually channels her ghostly power into the orbs on her neck, creating a ghostly ball of shadow.
With precision you could set your watch by, both Pokemon fire their attacks at the same time. OzMissy's Shadow Ball spirals around Roses' Sludge Bomb and crashes into the Grass-type, sending ripples of cold pain through her body.
At about the same time, Roses' Sludge Bomb splatters across OzMissy's face, causing her to sneer in disgust. Fortunately, her Safeguard once again protected against any intoxication by the attack...
Unfortunately, the last of that Safeguard's energy has just expired...

Good Roses, good. Start with Thunder Bolt. Let's hope that since her body is wet and she isn't touching the floor the attack does some good damage. Then, I want you to wait until she comes close to attack you to unleash Sleep Powder on her. Finish with Sludge Bomb. If she is sleep, I want you approach to her as much as you can and attack.

Andrew starts the round by calling back OzMissy, who floats up to him, confused.
"Why the **** have you lost so much energy, OzMissy?" he snaps in his usual bitchy tone. "BAD! BAD!"
He slaps OzMissy with a rolled-up newspaper, earning a few laughs from Roses and her Trainer.
Embarrassed, OzMissy floats back to the middle of the battlefield, ready to take her frustrations out on a certain Bulbasaur...
As the two Pokemon sized each other up, their Trainers shouted their commands once again...
OzMissy starts the round off by focusing her psychic powers into a beam. Gathering as much mental energy as she can, she compresses it into a focused laser of rainbow-colored light, which she fires from her eyes at Roses. The Bulbasaur shrieks as her mind is attacked by the merciless light show of doom...
But Roses isn't gonna take that laying down! No, no, no - she's putting that Thunderbolt that Finus' Mimic passed onto her to good use, sending sparks of electricity surging at the Ghost, who screeches as her wet, un-grounded body is electrified by some 5,000 volts! OzMisst coughs up a puff of smoke, earning more laughs from Roses.
OzMissy's face turns red - she's sick of that frog-plant laughing at her, and she's gonna do something about it! OzMissy ascends high into the air, and then she dive-bombs Roses, knocking the Grass-type back a few feet.
But just then, OzMissy yawns, smelling a refreshing fragrance... She feels sleepy...
Roses grins as the groggy ghouls eyes close and she wafts to the ground, snoring softly.
Andrew yells at OzMissy comically as she sleeps, but he just can't wake her up...
Roses, seeing her opportunity, tiptoes up to OzMissy and begins concentrating the poisons in her bulb. Combining the potent toxins with a few other nasty chemicals, she soon expels a glob of purple-brown poison from her bulb that splatters against OzMissy's sleeping form...
But the soft blob doesn't wake her up - she's sleeping like a baby...

Kind-hearted Blademaster, always happy to help those in need, agreed to serve as a referee. Aren't you all lucky to have him around?
Rain is pounding down across the field where Andrew and Spike are battling, and Andrew's Misdreavus seems to be asleep...
OzMissy rolls over and smiles as she dreams of lifting a rolled-up newspaper with her psychic abilities and smacking her Trainer on the head with it repeatedly...
Both Trainers shout their commands once again; Roses nods and faces OzMissy, who simply stirs in reply.
Roses starts the round off by focusing her energy in her bulb, which pushes a small seed up from within it. The seed glows with greenish-white energy and sails through the air in an arc, plummeting down onto OzMissy and striking her on the side, embedding in her astral body with comparable force to a hypodermic needle... OzMissy winces and groans but she doesn't wake up...
Wait, maybe she is... she's muttering something in her sleep...
Suddenly, a large, ghostly 'Z' floats from OzMissy's mouth, and then it dissolves into a thin purple line of glowing energy, which writhes like a snake... Then, it suddenly darts out, one end of it stabbing into OzMissy's forehead and the other end embedding in Roses' paw, each time with little more force than a mosquito bite. At first, nothing seems to have happened...
But then, Roses groans in pain as she feels her health being leached away, and at the same time OzMissy grins contentedly as her wounds begin to heal.
Blademaster watches in awe at the display - his random picking of attacks from a hat has resulted in OzMissy's Sleep Talk duplicating her infamous Pain Split move!
Roses shakes her head and groans - she doesn't feel sleepy, but she knows that that can change quickly; she closes her eyes and conjures a shield in front of her, focusing the light in the air and synchronizing it with her mind to produce a wall of faint orange light in front of her, the sudden appearance of which severs the link between her health and that of OzMissy. Roses sighs in relief as the pain begins to fade.
Meanwhile, OzMissy hasn't been disturbed much at all, and so she continues her blissful napping, despite her Trainer's loud protests. She begins to murmur in her sleep again... Another 'Z' floats from her mouth, this time glowing yellow and crackling with sparks. The 'Z' compresses into a small ball of electricity that launches at Roses, slamming into her with decent force.
Andrew looks pleasantly surprised by this - first a Pain Split, and then a Shock Wave? Who knows what'll come next...?
Roses doesn't look like she wants to find out; struggling to recall her Mimicked Thunderbolt, she manages to produce a stream of lightning that surges forward and electrocutes OzMissy, who snaps awake and screams as her rain-soaked body is shocked by the attack.
OzMissy glares at Roses, smoke rising from her body, and she quickly produces an electrical current of her own, channeling the energy and firinf it into the sky. A second later, a massive lightning bolt strikes Roses, amplified by the rain but weakened by Roses' resistance to electricity. Still, 10 million volts had to hurt the Grass Pokemon a little...

Rain is pounding down across the field where Andrew and Spike are battling, but it thankfully seems to be letting up a bit...
Roses starts the round off by conjuring an orb of white light within her bulb, which she focuses and blasts into the sky, searing the air and dispersing the rainclouds above the field, allowing the sun to shine through once again...
(Pan to a soaking-wet Blademaster wearing a soggy newspaper as a hat.)
OzMissy gasps as the rainclouds begin to vanish; she quickly attempts to amass a powerful charge of electricity, but with only warm air over the battlefield, no lightning can heat up and no thunder can form. OzMissy pouts as her attack fizzles - not that she really had any energy to sustain it, anyway.
Roses smiles and shuts her eyes, her body glowing a faint teal. In seconds, the bulb on her back begins to expand, quickly growing some 50%.
OzMissy, however, is not amused; she zips forward at high speed, glowing a faint grey as she slams into Roses, sending the Grass type skidding back a few feet.
OzMissy smiles slightly, but then, energy loss overtakes her, and she drifts to the ground, unconscious.
As Andrew recalls OzMissy and the round draws to a close early, Roses gains back some energy, but at a price - her Safeguard has expired, and the Leech Seed she'd launched, now with no host to sap health from, has fallen off and disintegrated...

Edit, I thought you'd put in a typo and it was 40% and presumed Missy had recovered energy somewhat due to rest or something.
Either way, any energy OzMissy may have gained while asleep was expended again by its Sleep Talks - Pain Split especially is quite an energy-consuming move, I think.
Sorry for the confusion, but as you can see, there's no edit markers at the bottom of my reffing, so it wasn't changed or editted - it was 4% from the start.
Your DQ date was Sunday, Andrew - last chance to send out a new Poke, or you're out!
(does bad movie impersonation)
DON'T MAKE ME DO IT! I SWEAR I'LL DO IT!!![]()
Well, I still think that having 04 energy is stupid because it made me think it was a typo of 40. Honestly, when you ask someone how much something is you don't go and ZERO FIVE!1111
[font=Papyrus]Guys... can we just continue with the battle? Cmon Andrew, we haven't battled in ages.

I don't care if you're having a hissy fit or not, Andrew - you will wait your turn when I'm reffing!
