Yu Gi Oh: Monster Kaiser
ASB/RPG Exclusive!

One Wish, what would you do for One Wish? What would you do for your deepest desires to come true? That is what the flyers said at the local Yu Gi Oh Tournaments all around the Earth. The provider is a world renown gamer that holds tournaments on his secluded island. This year he wants to provide a tournament for Yu Gi Oh Duelists. The Winner receives what ever his heart desires, if he is able to provide it.

So you and others are taken by boat and plane from all around the world to a small South American Island. There you are given one week to become the top duelist on the island. The island though is not with out it’s obstacles though, weird and unique creatures stalk the wilderness. The island is also filled with several relics; a few look like giant chess pieces.

At first you shrug this off, but as the first losers of the tournament happen, the stakes of this tournament become a lot more real. The man that rules the island is known as the Monster Kaiser, and the losers of the tournament become a monster from their decks. To save your sanity and your body, you must battle friends and foes, with every life point you and your opponent lose in the duel, the more you chance becoming another monster.

But is the chance of a wish come true worth these stakes? You have no other choice because the only way off this island is winning the tournament. And for the losers, you must try to keep your sanity, try to keep your humanity as you journey with friend and foe. All in hopes that the winner of this tournament will wish back your humanity!

The duels will take place via any IM Program with your Real Life Deck. Proxys and Japanese cards are welcome. The Ban list is active. Chats of the tournament is either reposted or sent to me to verify the winner. Tampering with a duel will receive a automatic loss. If you do not have an IM Program, you can duel via PM or any other device. Sennen/Millennium Items are not allowed, this is real world not fantasy!

My thoughts on the match-ups:

Roy Karrde (Horus) vs Perfect Chaos (Dark World)
Whoever has the most speed will dominate. If Horus Lv8 comes out fast, then the Dark World deck is locked down for all but a Morphing Jar and a few traps. On the other hand, quick swarm from the Dark Worlds could prevent any real chance of Horus being brought into play.

Killer Tai (Level Up!) vs Envoy of Time (D-Hero)
Hmmm.. since I'm unsure of which Level Up! monsters and which D-Hero strategy is being used, this could go either way pretty quick or it could be a long, hard fought duel. Clock Tower Control could be an interesting match up for a Level Up! themed deck, but a Dogma drain deck could also be on the cards for mass damage early one. If the Level Up! theme deck can bring out the higher levels fast, then a D-Hero deck could be pinned down early on.

Dark Sage (Warrior/Spellcaster) vs Dark-San (Air/Gadget)
Since I've never seen an Air-Gadget played, I can't comment much on the deck type. I already know the Gadget half of the deck, and I have a suspicion of what it may contain in the Air side. Only time will tell if i'm right. The spellcaster side of Dark Sage's deck may give a slight edge against the constant swarm of Gadget's mass destruction with the quick play of Magical Dimension to force a loss of target to the main destruction cards. But that could be switched around pretty fast if Overload Fusion is decked to counter anything big.

Waves of Darkness (Phoenix) vs Heald (Fire)
Fire vs. Fire should also be an interesting one. A Burn lock could be brought down to drag the duel out and wipe Waves of Darkness out slowly but surely, but a Phoenix domination could be played early on and trample all over Heald.

It should be pretty interesting to see how all 4 duels go. Very nice match ups giving neither player any real advantage.

~*~*~*~*~ First Duel ~*~*~*~*~

The duel disk slipped on easily enough, a few straps and it was snug against my wrist. I slipped the white card that they had given us into my pocket and squared off against Perfect Chaos. I had dueled him several times over the internet, now both of us had changed our decks at the last minute and we were both hungry for our first win. “I hope these stupid things don’t shred my cards like the plastic ones do.” I prayed silently as my girlfriend..er…friend watched on.

Perfect Chaos kept a fairly solemn face through the whole situation as we both checked the bottom cards of our decks to determine who goes first. Mine was Cyber Dragon, and he drew Magic, meaning I went first. I prayed for a good hand and drew my first six. My heart sank when I saw my first hand, two Exiled Forces, and a Magician for monsters? I set two magic/traps and placed my magician in defense mode.

Chaos drew, his hand flying away with the card. He looked through his hand, and brought out his Slate Warrior in attack. A quick attack and I lost my magician of faith. Chaos ended his round by sitting two magic/traps.

I drew and could only pray for something good. With no monster to take on that behemoth, I had to summon and sac one of my Exiled Forces. I ended my turn and prayed that he wouldn’t draw a monster. I was right on one account, he didn’t. He flipped Call of the Haunted and brought back Slate Warrior for an easy attack.

8000 – 6100

I drew and my bad luck in my hand continued. With nothing of real consequence down, I played Heavy storm to kill his Call of the Haunted and thus Slate Warrior. The match continued with a face up Exiled Force striking the field. The lights of the duel disk glistened as the monster came to life infront of me. This whole experience was so surreal. “Exiled! Strike back!” I commanded only to find it blocked by a discarded Kuriboh. With nothing else to do I played one magic/trap face down and ended

Chaos drew, and with a smirk across his face, he played Smashing Ground. My hand flew to my duel disk, chaining my face down card. ‘My Body As A Shield.’

8000 – 4600

Chaos only seem to shrug it off, placing Goblin Elite Attack Force on the field, and striking my Exiled Force down for another set of damage. Sweat began to dampen across my brow. I hadn’t expected that, nor had I expected to be down so early in the game. Chaos ended his turn and Goblin switched to defense.

8000 – 3400

I drew and cussed under my breath, I had nothing. Absolutely nothing to stop him. I ended my turn, and Chaos drew his next card. I could only pray that Goblin would remain in defense. With a smile across his face, Chaos sacrificed Goblin for Ha-Des striking me directly. Chaos added another face down, and with a confident smirk, ended his turn.

8000 – 950

I drew my card and at that moment I knew I was toast. The only thing I could do was bluff, but Chaos was a risk taker. I placed two face down and ended. With almost glee Chaos drew his card and attacked. Ending the first round.

8000 – 0000

The second round began with each of us shuffling our decks. I was bathed in sweat by now, my hands shaky as I tried to decide what to do. I drew my cards and cussed as I realized I had gotten almost the same hand. This time all I could do is set a Exiled, and two magic/traps before ending.

Chaos drew and the second round had begun. He started off with a Archfiend Soldier. With one swift attack he destroyed Exiled Force, and placed a magic/trap face down to end. I drew and returned fire by playing Swords of Revealing Light! I placed an Exiled Force face down and finished off my turn.

Perfect drew and fired back by summoning another Archfiend Solder. With my turn starting I drew and placed Horus LV 4 face down before ending. Chaos fired back with a Nobleman of Crossout on his turn, and with baited breath, he choose Exiled Force. I withdrew a sigh as he sat a monster face down and ended.

Now was the turn to attack! Now was my chance! I played Mystical on his face down to kill his Smashing Ground, and flipped Horus LV 4 up and attacked his Magician of Faith. To my surprise he brought back Nobleman of Crossout, and I ended allowing Horus to level up! The tables of fate were beginning to turn, with no other choice, Chaos moved his army into defensive mode and ended.

I drew, placing a magic/trap down as insurance, and attacked a Archfiend. Killing it and ending to bring Horus’ strongest form out. With a bit of a cocky grin, Chaos placed a monster face down and ended his turn. Checking the defense of Archfiend, I drew and played Horus LV 4, attacking and killing his Archfiend to begin the cycle again.

Chaos’ patience was rewarded when I attacked his face down, which he laughed, showing that it was a Newdoria. I could only laugh back as I triggered my face down, playing My Body As A Shield, to defend Horus LV 8. Chaos’ spirits and heart fell as he watched his last line of defense crumble away. I ended my turn, leveling up my Level 4 Horus to Level 6.
8000 – 6500

Chaos said a small prayer and drew, playing a monster face down, and one other card face down. Riding high, I drew and attacked his face down, and then attacked him directly with Level 8. Again Chaos was prepared, bringing up Sak Armor. And Again I would stomp his hopes away, chaining Solemn Judgement.

5000 – 3250

Our match continued forward, Chaos discarded three Fiends from the graveyard and summoned out Necrofear, placing her in defense mode. Adding some insurance face down, he ended his turn. With no other choice I drew and had Level 8 attack Necrofear. Perfect responded with the biggest shocker. Mirror Force. My Horus monsters were gone!

I could only place a monster face down and end. Perfect seemed ready to go on the offensive, striking my monster down with his Nobleman of Crossout that he retrieved. Switching his Necrofear to attack, he fired back and found a little surprise of my own, I flipped Mirror Force on my Duel Disk over. Chaos fired back with a few choice cuss words and ended his turn with one card face down.

I drew, playing Graceful and dumping off Level Up and Heavy storm in favor of Cyber Dragon and Mobius. I ended my turn and could only hope for something good to happen. Chaos went on the offensive, playing Goblin Elite Force, only to have it washed away by Torrential Tribute.

The match continued on in a blur, his monsters coming at me in the forces of Ha-Des and Slate Warrior to push me into a surrender. “That was a good match.” I gasped, my chest suddenly heaved in pain and my legs buckled.

“Are you okay?” Chaos asked as I fell to the ground, the last thing I saw was a strand of golden hair fall between my eyes.

She wears fingerless, studded gloves which are weighted. She carries a sack with some emergency supplies and some smokes and a box of toothpicks. Deck: Currently None
Tournament History: No dueling history, but she is regarded as top dog in her area when it comes to more... physical forms of fighting.
Personality: Blunt and straight forward, Amelia speaks her mind about anything and everything. She likes to get into fights and has been known to take on too many people at once. Despite her rough edges, she is a genuinely good person, and has built up something of a buddy relationship with Ryan. Tagged along to make sure he "had someone to watch his back".
Wish: none yet, she's skeptical of the whole thing.

I watched Ryan "Duel", taking a nervous drag on my lit cigarette, something about this whole contest had me on edge, the whole thing was... wierd, and suspicious. But then, that was my instincts talking, intellectually, I couldn't see anything wrong, just two geeks, one of them my Bo- er, friend, dueling. I sighed as they did various things, ninety percent of it going over my head other than the life points thing. I growled to myself as Ryan lost the first round, I personally wanted to go in there and sock the other guy in the face.

Then Ryan lost the second, and I saw him buckle and fall, and I shouted out his name, running to him as I was his hair change, as I got to him, I notice he was changing... into a... girl. I looked at the other guy, stating, "If you have anything to do with this, I'm going to kill you." As I picked up Ryan's changing form, cradling him against me, tears of concern flowing down my face.

I gave this RPG a little twist by adding some reality of my life into it. So please enjoy... ^.^

~.~.~.~.~.~.~

“Me, why me?”

I sat onto the deck of the speedboat, as it jets away at an amazing velocity, cutting through the waves as it cruises.

The sound of the waves clashing onto the speedboat was deafening as it mixes with the sound of the speedboat’s engine. I looked upon the letter of invitation that I had clenched tightly with my hands.

“Mr. Kaiser, the owner of the Island had specifically invited me over? Why of all the other top duelists in Singapore, why only me alone?”

I pondered with many thoughts as the events that happened the last few days unfolded to my mind.

~.~.~ -=| On Friday – 13 October 2006 |=-~.~.~

I am at the lowest point of my life. Things are not going my way. It seems like the heavens are making a fool out of me. Just a week ago, my closest friend, a fellow much respected duelist of my clan, had died. Instead of sticking together to commemorate his death, the clan has now threaten to dissolve and split into two factions due to the ongoing rift that had been going on for quite sometime now.

The rift happens to be between two of the top two duelist of the clan. It all happens to a little misunderstanding and as time goes by, it quickly escalated into a bigger problem. Now all of the clan members had chosen their factions and taken their side. It has only left with me being the only odd one out, who had refuse to take either side.

I had left out local card shop that very day late in the night after a day of hanging around and dueling with the rest as usual. That particular day was the worse as there are nothing but arguments, quarrels, gossips and rumors becoming the subject of discussion. The two rivals met up and almost swear at each other, provoking the other for a fight. And poor old me, have to separate both together.

And the rest of the day was spent on separate them both, rather than wasting my mental energy on the duels.

Thoroughly exhausted, I opened up my letterbox as I arrived at the void deck of my housing estate. Reaching out, I grabbed whatever I can feel with and begin sorting out the letters.

“Hah, my phone bills, housing utilities bill and hey what’s this?”

An odd looking envelope, with a picture of a Millennium eye, that was addressed to me. I quickly tore up the envelope and the mysterious letter reads,

“Dear Mr. Goh,

You have been specifically invited to a small South American Island. You are required to battle with the rest of the other top international players that are invited to there as well. There you are given one week to become the top duelist on the island. The winner of each duel would walk away with a wish fulfilled while the losers become a monster from their decks.

It is up to you to see if you are up to the mark of qualifying for the duel. Please take note that you are the only one in your country that had been invited. So relish your once in a lifetime chance.

Regards,
Mr. Kaiser “

Now I got stone- cold, with both my foot firmly stuck onto the ground. Has my fortune changed for the better or has it become much worse? But has it got to be me? Am I going to take up this challenge? What about the problems of my clan that had yet to be resolved?

Many questions sprung out of my imaginative mind, as I stood rooted to that very spot making the biggest and perhaps the most important decision of my life.

~.~.~ -=| On Sunday – 15 October 2006 |=-~.~.~

I must be mad to take up this challenge as I instantly regretted the decision that I took back then on Saturday. I was not in the right set of mind. I must be insane, what if I lost in the battle, and will I make it back to where I belong? My clan is splitting apart, my sole purpose of existence would be gone with the clan too.

I took out my wallet and peered into a picture of the clan picture, reminisce with nostalgia to our good old days where we used to share our bonds through thick and thin, where there are not any such things as arguments and quarrels.

That moment was abrupt, as I was shaken back to reality by one of Mr. Kaiser’s staff.

“Hey kid, what is your ID and your invitation number?”

“Oh sorry, I sincerely apologized.”

I immediately took out the invitation letter and presented to the man in black. The staff took it from, scan the barcode onto his palm top.

“Mr. Goh, you are one lucky bastard to be invited here.”

“National Christmas 2002 tournament Champion, National Worlds 2004 Qualifying tournament Champion. Some records that you have, winning the first tournament as a newbie. There are better duelists that existed in your country and you must be wondering why you are here right?”

His question snapped me instantly, leaving me wondering about his intentions.

“Mr. Kaiser has always been a keen admirer of talent. You won your first tournament as a beginner that had just started out a few months back. That was probably just some beginner luck. But you further prove your worth to him by winning the next major national. But you have not won anything in the last 2 years. Any reasons to explain to Mr. Kaiser since he would like me to input it into his records.”

Now what is this? An interrogation?

“Its my national service, I quitted sometime to totally focus my concentration on it. You have your answer now. Can I be left alone now?”

“Yes, you may now.”

He gave me a cold glare before quietly scrolled away to another participant as I fumed with anger at his lousy attitude. My main purpose here to this tournament was not to win the tournament but rather to find back the strength, which I need to possess, to mend my troubled life and save my clan from the brink of destruction.

~.~.~ -=| On Monday (Present) – 16 October 2006 |=-~.~.~

I quietly moved out onto the exotic tropical island where what greeted my sight was not housing estates, not holiday chalets but rather a Mansion on the top of the cliff from a far away sight. Coconut trees were everywhere and the blazing sun heightens the temperature even more, giving some participants are hard time to concentrate.

We went our separate ways as the participants were told to split up and will be informed of their opponents by the Duel Disk that they had given to each individual. I moved out into the wildness as I moved forward.

Six hours had already passed since my first step onto this island. I had not saw any living homo sapiens around ever since I parted from the rest of the people who are traveling with me. It is time for lunch as I unpacked my food rations and prepared to feast on it. Looks like my two years in Army pays off, since I am quite feeling at home with the creatures of the forest already.

It was all too peaceful until a sudden beeping from the Duel Disk began to sound off. Interrupting the peaceful, causing the birds from the nearby canopy to flee by flight.

“What the fuck happen?”

I crept forward and took over the Duel Disk where a message was shown.

Opponent: Jack Daniels
Location: An arena by the lake
Time: 12 30 EST/ 13 00 GMT +8

Now who the hell is this, Jack Daniels? Is he formidable? I asked myself too much unnecessary questions, which would be answered within the next few hours when I battled him.

“Alright, I have to get moving now. The lake is about a four to five kilometers hike from here.”

I had the map on my hand as I analyzed it with curiosity. Slowly I folded the map and took out my wallet where I took another peek into the pictures again.

“Guys, wait for me. I would be back and perhaps a much stronger leader to mend and manage the conflict. Believe in me!”

With that, I took a huge gasp of the fresh air before making myself to the designated location.

~.~.~ -=| On Monday (Present) – 16 October 2006 |=-~.~.~
Location: The Lake

Blisters are beginning to form on the base of my feet as I painfully hiked through the trees, feeding the mosquitoes with my blood as I moved along the dirt track. Finally reaching my location where the first sight of my opponent reflected upon me.

“Finally you are here and just in time. I’ve been waiting for you.”

The referee stared at me before commanding me to get my deck ready. I nodded as I took out my precious deck which I had done up the night before I went on this trip.

Deck: 40 cards (Air Gadget)

Creatures [16]
Ice Emperor – Mobius [1]
Cyber Dragon [2]
E Hero Airman [3]
Magical Warrior – Breaker [1]
Green Gadget [3]
Red Gadget [3]
Yellow Gadget [3]

Magic [17]
Angel’s Gift [1]
Jar Of Avarice [1]
Cyclone [1]
Tempest [1]
Earth Smashing Ground [3]
Fissure [3]
Lightning Vortex [1]
Emissary of Obliteration [1]
Enemy Controller [2]
Shrink [1]
Scapegoat [1]
Swords of Revealing Light [1]

Trap [7]
Holy Barrier – Mirror Force [1]
Destruction Ring [1]
Tidal Wave [1]
Forced Ejection Machine [1]
Explosive Armour [2]
Dust Tornado [1]

I stood onto the other side of the arena facing my opponent. The referee looks at each of us, before sounding off the alarm to start off the match.

“Best out of three matches. Winner will take all three points today. Let the match begin!”

All these tensions are making me having goose pimples. My palms are starting to sweat as this duel became the main broadcast of the duel with the crowd gathering around the arena.

~.~.~ -=| On Monday (Present) – 16 October 2006 |=-~.~.~
Location: The Lake (Match 1 begins)

Duel One (Turn 1)

The judge decided that Jack goes first as he draws his first card. Setting a monster in defense mode, playing the Swords of Revealing Light and setting a covered magic/ trap onto the field. He ends his turn, looking ever confident.

Jack Daniels’ hand: 3 Cards
Creature Field: Facedown creature
Magic/ Trap Field: 1 Swords of Revealing Light. 1 facedown Magic/ Trap
Life point: 8000

Duel One (Turn 2)

I picked up my first card from the top of the deck and begin to wonder about my next move. With Swords of Revealing Light at play, it would be hard to attack his creature. But if I do not attack it, I would have to summon one of the low attacking power Gadgets onto the field, which could be easily taken down by a huge monster. Or I would place in defensive mode that would disable me to search for the Gadget to replenish my hand.

Weighing the odds, I took the risk and summoned Green Gadget onto the field. Its effect enables me to search for a Red Gadget to place onto my hand. I set two Magic/ Trap onto the field to protect Green Gadget before ending my turn.

Wee Meng’s hand: 4 Cards
Creature Field: Green Gadget
Magic/ Trap Field: 2 facedown Magic/ Trap
Life point: 8000

Duel One (Turn 3)

Things are getting more interesting as Jack flips summons Old Vindictive Magician that took out my Green Gadget. He tribute it for Chaos Command Magician Atk 2400/ Def 1900, a Lv 6 creature that immune to Monster effects that target. He declared his intention to attack but it was easily dealt with Explosive Armour.

To even surprise me more, he re- summons it back onto the field with Cry of the Living Dead, which was blown up by my Destruction Ring which had been set there for a long time, taking damage for the first time in this battle.

Jack Daniels’ hand: 3 Cards
Creature Field: None
Magic/ Trap Field: 1 Swords of Revealing Light
Life point: 8000 – 2400 (Destruction Ring) = 5600

Duel One (Turn 4)

I drew my second card and summons Red Gadget onto the field. Through its effect, I get to search for Yellow Gadget and placed it onto my hand. I set a facedown trap onto the field and ends my turn

Wee Meng’s hand: 4 Cards
Creature Field: Red Gadget
Magic/ Trap Field: 1 facedown Magic/ Trap
Life point: 8000 – 2400 (Destruction Ring) = 5600

Duel One (Turn 5)

Playing out the odds, Jack drew and activates his Cyclone to destroy my facedown Magic/ Trap. It was then when I counter- activate, my Dust Tornado to sweep off his Sword of Revealing Light. To continue on the play, he activates Mausoleum of the Emperor. Paying a lifepoint of 2000, he special summoned Black Magician of Chaos onto the field. Using its effect, he got Cyclone back from the grave.

Declaring his attack, he took down Red Gadget dealing me with 1500 damage in the process. Before ending his turn with a facedown Magic/ Trap.

Jack Daniels’ hand: 1 Card
Creature Field: Black Magician of Chaos
Magic/ Trap Field: 1 facedown Magic/ Trap
Life point: 5600 – 2000 (Mausoleum of the Emperor) = 3600

Duel One (Turn 6)

No sooner, I realized that something had to be done, I summoned E Hero Airman onto the field. Through its effect, I get to search for another E Hero Airman* and had it on my hand.

*E Hero Airman (Promo – V Jump)
Type: Warrior
Atk 1800/ Def 300
1st Effect: When summoned onto the field, the user gets to search for a creature with E Hero type on its hand and place it on their hand.
2nd Effect: When summoned onto the field and with another existing E Hero on your side of the field, you get to destroyed one of your opponent’s Magic/ Trap. The number of E heroes existing on your field would increase the same number of Magic/ Trap which you can destroyed during that turn summoned.

Attacking Black Magician of Chaos, I chained Shrink during Damage Step to halve its attack power to 1400, thus destroying it successfully. I placed one facedown Magic/ Trap. Before ending my turn, Jack activates Life Absorbing Machine.

Wee Meng’s hand: 3 Card
Creature Field: E Hero Airman
Magic/ Trap Field: 1 facedown Magic/ Trap
Life point: 5600 – 1500 (Turn 5’s attack) = 4100

Duel One (Turn 7)

Gaining back a thousand lifepoint through Life Absorbing Machine, Jack summoned Skilled Dark Magician. It was an unfortunate event as his summon was further chain by Tidal Wave which promptly destroyed E Hero Airman as well. With nothing else to do, Jack ends his turn.

Jack Daniels’ hand: 1 Card
Creature Field: None
Magic/ Trap Field: 1 Life Absorbing Machine, 1 Mausoleum of the Emperor
Life point: 3600 + 1000 (Life Absorbing Machine) – 400 (Turn 6’s attack) = 4200

Duel One (Turn 8)

With nothing but creatures on the hand, I summoned the second E Hero Airman onto the field and searches for the third. I did a direct 1800 damage to Jack’s lifepoint before ending my turn when I played the Swords of Revealing Light. Even though I had in mind that he had a Cyclone on his hand. All this was part of my plot to get him to use up his Cyclone before it plays me out.

Wee Meng’s hand: 3 Card
Creature Field: E Hero Airman
Magic/ Trap Field: Swords of Revealing Light
Life point: 4100

Duel One (Turn 9)

Jack is getting desperate as he draws his Magical Warrior – Breaker. He summons it onto the field and gains a spell counter that increases its attack to 1900. An attack figure large enough to take out E Hero Airman.

He plays Cyclone and destroyed Swords of Revealing Light before dealing a 100 damage to me.

Jack Daniels’ hand: 0 Card
Creature Field: Magical Warrior - Breaker
Magic/ Trap Field: 1 Life Absorbing Machine, 1Mausoleum of the Emperor
Life point: 4200 – 1800 (Turn 8’s attack) = 2400

Duel One (Turn 10)

Lady Luck begins to smile at me as I play Earth Smashing Ground, a card that I drew on that the same turn. This led me to use it on Magical Warrior – Breaker, destroying it. Summoning Yellow Gadget, I search for Green Gadget and deal Jack’s lifepoint with a direct 1200 damage.

Wee Meng’s hand: 3 Card
Creature Field: Yellow Gadget
Magic/ Trap Field: None
Life point: 4100 – 100 (Turn 9’s attack) = 4000

Duel One (Turn 11)

Jack’s lucky hand drew himself Angel’s Gift, using it, he drew 3 cards. Discarding Mausoleum of the Emperor and Gemini Elf, he plays Jar Of Avarice, enabling him to recover Old Vindictive Magician, Chaos Command Magician, Gemini Elf, Skilled Dark Magician, and Magical Warrior - Breaker. He draws two cards and normal summons Skilled Dark Magician before playing out Earth Smashing Ground to destroy Yellow Gadget.

Hence dealing a direct 1900 damage of my lifepoint.

Jack Daniels’ hand: 0 Card
Creature Field: Skilled Dark Magician
Magic/ Trap Field: 1 Life Absorbing Machine, 1Mausoleum of the Emperor
Life point: 2400 – 1200 (Turn 10’s attack) = 1200

Duel One (Turn 12)

The first round ended with me summoning both Cyber Dragon and E Hero Airman, doing him a total of 2000 to end off his round by destroying both his Skilled Dark Magician and a direct 1800 damage attack.

Wee Meng’s hand: 2 Card
Creature Field: Cyber Dragon, E Hero Airman
Magic/ Trap Field: None
Life point: 4000 – 1900 (Turn 11’s attack) = 2100

Jack Daniels’ hand: 0 Card
Creature Field: None
Magic/ Trap Field: 1 Life Absorbing Machine, 1Mausoleum of the Emperor
Life point: 1200 – 2000 (Turn 12’s attack) = -800

~.~.~ -=| On Monday (Present) – 16 October 2006 |=-~.~.~
Location: The Lake (Match 2 begins)

I looked upon Jack Daniels as I beamed with confidence.

“I suppose you are just plain unlucky…”

Jack shrugs, taking the defeat to his stride.

“Don’t worry about me, worry about the second match yourself!”

Duel Two (Turn 1)

Once again as like the first match, it was Jack that started the match again. Jack started the match brightly by starting to summon a single Lv 4 creature in the form of Skilled Dark Magician. Though it may seem nothing to the crowd and for the judge, a creature with an attack of more than 1800 would sound doom for Air Gadget, taking into account that 75% of the creatures that are used in the deck have an attack lesser than 1800.

Jack thought for a while before setting two facedown Magic/ Trap. He then ended his turn, turning his attention towards the judge.

Jack Daniels’ hand: 3 Cards
Creature Field: Skilled Dark Magician
Magic/ Trap Field: 2 facedown Magic/ Trap
Life point: 8000

Duel Two (Turn 2)

Drawing a card to start of match 2, I drew out a Fissure, which was used without hesitation on Skilled Dark Magician. Jack chained Fissure with Dimensional Magic. Sacrificing Skilled Dark Magician for Dark Magician. Sensing more problems along the way, I did another mistake by using Cyclone onto the other single set facedown Magic/ Trap. Jack again counter- chain my Cyclone with another trap card in Rush Recklessly that further pumped [i]Dark Magician[i]’s attack to 3200.

I looked gloomy at a certain defeat as I played Yellow Gadget and searches for Green Gadget from the deck. Setting a facedown Magic/Trap, before ending my turn with 3 cards on hand.

Wee Meng’s hand: 3 Cards
Creature Field: Yellow Gadget
Magic/ Trap Field: 1 facedown Magic/ Trap
Life point: 8000

Duel Two (Turn 3)

Jack drew out a card from his deck before smiling at himself. That must his lucky card, he played Tempest to wipe out my single facedown Magic/ Trap. Forcing me to activate Forced Ejection Machine to return Dark Magician back to his hand. Shocked by that unexpected move, Jack cracks his brain and ponders over his current situation.

After a few minutes, Jack plays Earth Smashing Ground to send Yellow Gadget back to the grave and sets a monster in defense mode before ending his turn.

Jack Daniels’ hand: 1 Card
Creature Field: Facedown creature
Magic/ Trap Field: None
Life point: 8000

Duel Two (Turn 4)

Without a hand advantage, Jack’s chances are trimmed making it difficult for him to recover his chances to win this match up. With that I played Emissary of Obliteration that had been hanging on my hand for quite sometime, sending Old Vindictive Magician out of play.

I normal- summoned Green Gadget and replenish my hand with the Red Gadget. Lastly I dealt Jack with a direct 1400 damage through Green Gadget.

Wee Meng’s hand: 3 Cards
Creature Field: Green Gadget
Magic/ Trap Field: None
Life point: 8000

Duel One (Turn 5)

With no cards to play on his hand, Jack did was only to play Scapegoat and ends his turn.

Jack Daniels’ hand: 1 Card
Creature Field: Four Scapegoat Tokens
Magic/ Trap Field: None
Life point: 8000 – 1400 (Turn 4’s attack) = 6600

Duel Two (Turn 6)

I got a lucky draw and fish out Lightning Vortex from the deck. Without a moment to lose, I used the magic card and discarded the useless Tempest to get rid off all the Sheep tokens. With another direct shot, I summoned E Hero Airman and searches for another.

After declaring the attack and doing 3200 damage with both Green Gadget and E Hero Airman, I ended my turn.

Wee Meng’s hand: 2 Cards
Creature Field: Green Gadget, E Hero Airman
Magic/ Trap Field: None
Life point: 8000

Duel Two (Turn 7)

With a severe handicap of creature shortage, Jack’s lucky draw got him a Gemini Elf. With an instant, he quickly summoned it onto the field and got rid of E Hero Airman.

Jack Daniels’ hand: 1 Card
Creature Field: Gemini Elf
Magic/ Trap Field: None
Life point: 6600 – 3200 (Turn 6’s attack) = 3200

Duel Two (Turn 8)

Victory was in sight as once again, I pulled out another unexpected card with Enemy Controller. I sacrificed Green Gadget to gain control of Gemini Elf before summoning my second E Hero Airman to finish off the game.

Wee Meng’s hand: 2 Card
Creature Field: E Hero Airman, Gemini Elf
Magic/ Trap Field: None
Life point: 8000 – 100 (Turn 7’s attack) = 7900

Jack Daniels’ hand: 1 Card
Creature Field: None
Magic/ Trap Field: None
Life point: 3200 – 3700 (Turn 8’s attack) = -500

Wiping off my perspiration, I pulled up enough courage to shake Jack’s hands.

“It has been a great honour to play with a great player like you.”

Though Jack had lost the game, he is pretty sure that with the first battling experience that he had in the tournament will surge him to do better. Jack smiled as he prepares to watch away, he chucked his hands together on his chest and starts to fall backwards and his face starts to age. Worse off as his body starts to increase in height and the face matures at an amazing rate.

I dashed forward and noticed something. He is Jack Daniels no- more, but in his place is someone with a striking resemblances of Dark Magician.

@Alucard ~ Yes in fact Gadget deck do have a distinct advantage. Though Spellcaster have their dimensional magic, Gadget deck still owned in terms of the number of monster elimination cards like Earth Smashing, Fissure and Explosive Armour.

Gadget do have their disadvantage and in fact they are recently being dethroned from the most powerful deck standing in my country to being ranked third. First being Messenger Hell decks and the second being Out of Play deck where by the players gains extreme lifepoints to around the range of 55 000.

@Everyone ~ Take note that this rpg is partially fictional and hence should be considered as the real deal. Though the cards played are the same, I added in some ‘feelings’ to add to the rpg mood in some battle scenes. Also do note that the duel is played under the special condition that only 40 card decks are allowed and only the best of three matches wins the game.
