Default Gym Battle: Chris 2.0 VS Ace65 [CHALLENGER DISQUALIFIED]

Well, I've still got my old squad, since we're allowed to keep the old team. This is a challenge to any available gym leader. I'm going badge-hunting me mates! You can set all of the rules and such, as I ease myself back into the swing of things.

I would very much like a Gym Match Ace. I just need to sort out the ramifications of my previous challange.

    Arena: Goldenrod City

A large, spacious city, Goldenrod has lost the majority of its population due to the introduction of cooler, bigger cities like Lilycove and Sootopolis. There are many places to explore; the department store, which has medicine (restoring 5%) and various status ailments (although these can only be used once by each battler). The rooftop of the Department Store is also handy for aerial battles.

Aside from that, there is an aquarium with many various sized pools, as well as wide spaces for non-water types; The monorail tracks are high up from the battle and are long and thin; perfect for an all-out-duel, although electric attacks may attract the Magnet Train, which will slam into the battlers and deal 10% damage to each.

In the alleyways wild Pokemon lurk (such as Rattata, Raticate, Glameow, Meowth, Murkrow, and other alleyway-esque 'mon) and may attack; there may also be thugs and bikers in the city who fancy joining in the match.

There is a casino in the north, which is locked but can easily be broken into. Here there are large fountains and water features, gigantic staircases and long tables to brawl along. Here, all battlers can use pay day

These places are acessed by simply ordering the command "go to ___", flying, teleporting or, in some cases, digging.

    The Match

In direct contrast to my last two matches, this Gym Battle is a 4-4 match with two Pokemon out at a time.

    I send out my first
Then you send out your first
I then send out my second choice
And you send out your second choice and attack
    Then I attack

When a Pokemon faints they are replaced by the next.

This is a 4-4 match: Ace if you win you will get 8 points, my Gym Badge and a free catch/evolution. If you lose, you will get 4 points.

A ref will earn 8 points from this match.

I am going to begin by sending out my Golduck, Kappa [M].

And my second pokemon will be Gamabunta, my(your) Politoed (M).

I'll assume we're beginning on even ground.

Gamabunta, begin with an Earthquake, then follow up with a Bubblebeam at Rudiosho and a final Psychic beam.

Trios, take to the air and blow a Silver Wind in Kappa's direction. Next, use Bug Buzz to fling Kappa into his partner. That'll make it easier to nail the both of them with a Flash Cannon. If they're not bunched close, focus on Rudiosho.

Kappa use confuse ray on Politoed. Then disable earthquake and use an ice beam on Scizor's wings.

Rudi leap up and sky uppercut/fire punch combo that Scizor. End with a wide fire spin around you (and Kappa if possible) to keep away those attacks.

    round one

Goldenrod City; it seems that everyday this city is changing. Chris 2.0, the Gym Leader, accepts the challenge of newly-returned veteran, Ace64 (albeit, under another alias). The terms had been set, and both trainers release two of their four respective Pokemon. The battle, currently, takes place on the roof of the department store; you could probably see your house from here.

Gamabunta, the politoed that once belonged to Chris 2.0, hobbles over to his foe. Knowing what to do, Gamabunta claps his hands together happily, ready to create the earth-rupturing attack he learnt long ago. However, prior to him being able to successfully pull off the attack, he catches the gaze of Chris' swift golduck, putting him in a trance. Trios, Ace's scizor, had already taken to the air at this point. His steel armor keeps him from flying too high, unfortunately. The large steel bug pokemon summons a light rain of wind as it brushes throughout the roof, causing light damage to both Kappaduck and Rudioshu (-3% - Kappaduck; -2% - Rudioshu; -4% - Trios). The combusken, annoyed, charges towards the low-flying scizor with his fist balled up. Trios attempts to fly a bit higher to avoid the flaming punch coming his way, but Rudio remains poised, crouching down for a second to leap high into the air, slamming into Trios' torso with the force of two flaming punches (-14% - Trios; -8% - Rudioshu).

Gamabunta snaps out of his mental block before shooting off a volley of bubbles. Quickly, the bubble beam crashes into Rudio as he rests, causing great damage (-7% - Rudioshu; -4% - Gamabunta). Gamabunta's mind, at this point, becomes invaded by Kappaduck. Driving through the chief toad's move database, he disables the attack "earthquake" from memory (-6% - Kappaduck). Trios, meanwhile, lands on the ground behind Kappaduck, taking advantage of his mental fatigue and lifting him up easily. Kappa struggles to break free of Trios' hold, but Trios manages to hurl the duck into the combusken, causing good damage to both pokemon (-4% - Kappaduck; -4% - Rudioshu; -5% - Trios).

Trios reels back, charging up for a beam of steel energy. As he does so, Kappaduck shoots of a beam of ice which slams into the bug's frame. The scizor hisses in pain as his wings become frozen (-5% - Trios; -6% - Kappaduck); barely able to move his wings, Trios shoots off the beam of energy that he had stored. However, Rudio, fully refreshed, summons a tornado of fire to engulf both himself and his partner (-5% - Rudioshu), keeping them somewhat safe. The flash cannon is a bit broken up by the flames, but still manages to cause some damage to both pokemon (-4% - Kappaduck; -4% - Rudioshu; -6% - Trios). The flames die down just a bit as Gamabunta's final attack, a beam of concentrated mental energy slams into Rudio's backside, causing him to lose balance and fall to the ground (-8% - Rudioshu; -6% - Gamabunta).

    Good work guys.

Rudi use a poison stab on Politoed. Next use flamethrower on Scizor and end with sky uppercut on the crimson fighter.

Kappa use icebeam on Scizor. Then use a psychic beam on Politoed and end with a cross chop on Scizor.

Ok, not too bad. Time to specialize.

Gama, nail Rudi in the eyes with a Mud Shot to screw with his accuracy. Next, use Psychic to keep Rudi's mouth shut and hold all that flame inside. Keep up the blinding assault with another Mud Shot at Kappa to blind him.

Trios, you're just getting started. Use Double Team to create four clones. Then, use Steel Wing to give Rudi a taste of steel and ice chunks. If you don't have your clones, use Swords Dance to keep them from landing a solid blow. If not, charge Rudi head on with Aerial Ace.

    round two

The winds start to pick up as the sun slowly rises overhead. Goldenrod's tallest tower, the Department Store, remains the focal point of this gym battle between Ace and Chris.

Rudio accelerates towards the slithery frog pokemon with no worries in his mind whatsoever. His claws begin to leak venomous acids as he lunges towards Gamabunta. The politoed, however, remains smug. He shoots out a volley of muddy water from his mouth which crashes into Rudio's face as he slams his poison-tipped fist into his belly (-5% - Gamabunta; -5% - Rudioshu; -7% - Rudioshu; -4% - Gamabunta) (RNG: 1-9 No Psn; 10 Psn: No. 6 - NO PSN). Rudioshu bawks loudly as the dirt messes with his vision, retreating towards his partner. The metallic bug pokemon, Trios, closes his eyes as he creates four identical clones as per his trainer's request (-7% - Trios). Having a mere 20% chance of successfully landing an attack against the scizor, Kappa cleanses his mind as he summons a blade of ice energy from within. Within seconds, the water pokemon hurls the ice blade towards one of the scizor, hoping that it is the right one (RNG: 1-4 Clone; 5 Trios: No. 3 - ATK MISS). The ice beam sails through the clone, causing it to disappear instantly (-5% - Kappaduck).

Rudioshu clears the dirt from his face, then breathes in deeply. In another attempt to toy with the combusken, Gamabunta concentrates on Rudio's beak, holding it tightly with an invisible grip, also causing Rudio a bit of pain (-6% - Rudioshu; -6% - Gamabunta). Rudio's fire breath shoots out of his beak, however, breaking the mental grip at the cost of fatigue (-6% - Rudioshu). His own flames leave an undesireable tenderness in his mouth; using more fire attacks is probably going to hurt. The flames aren't as strong, however, and are aimed towards one of the scizor (RNG: 2-4 Clone; 5 Trios: No. 2 - ATK MISS). Just like with Kappa's ice beam, the dwindling flames pass right through the scizor as it disappears. Trios, the real Trios, darts over towards the fire pokemon. The intense heat that Rudio gives off causes the ice upon Trios' wings to slowly melt away. Trios' iron wings crash into Rudio, causing light damage (-4% - Rudioshu; -3% - Trios).

Very perturbed, Rudioshu has a clear shot; taking no chances, the flaming bird pokemon balls his fist then launches high into the air, crashing his fist into the bottom of Trios' face, causing great damage (-12% - Trios; -8% - Rudioshu). The severity of the attack causes him to lose concentration, and his remaining clones disperse. Kappa then drives towards the metal bug as it hits the ground, but not before Gamabunta shoots off another Mud Shot at the duck's face (-4% - Kappaduck; -4% - Gamabunta). Blinded temporarily, Kappaduck continues towards his foe, not knowing if his attack will land or not. Kappa crosses his arms, hoping to crash them into the bug pokemon (RNG: 1-2 Hit; 3 Miss: No. 1 - ATK HIT); doing so, the scizor squeels in pain (-10% - Trios; -8% - Kappaduck). Kappaduck retreats next to Rudio whilst rubbing his eyes. Trios, enraged, pulls himself together and glides over towards Rudio angrily. His wings have been warmed up to the point of useage. As he charges, a subtle collection of wind-based energy follows. He slams into Rudioshu swiftly, causing great damage (-8% - Rudioshu; -5% - Trios).

    My bad.

Ok buds, venue change. Both of you go to the casino. (Dunno if it takes another turn to break it down.)

Once you're inside, fun begins. Gama, soak Rudi with Water Pulse, then cool his muscles with Ice Beam.

Trios, release that anger onto Kappa with Frustration. Follow up with a blow to his head. Iron Head.

If they don't follow you for some reason, relax.

    DQ is a week.

Rudi use a quick attack to strike Politoed as he leaves. Next use a fire spin on Scizor and strength to hurl a large table at him amid the flames.

Kappa follow them to the Casino. Then use a psychic attack to scramble Politoed's mind and end with a slamming cross chop on Poli.

    round three

The warm breeze brushed against the tall tower, and all four pokemon ready themselves for another volley of attacks and dodges. Trios, angry as he is, follows master's orders and attempts to lead Gamabunta to the casino towards the northside of Goldenrod. How they'll get there from the top of a building is anyone's guess, but I'm just the narrator. Rudioshu, ready to rock despite his slightly-burnt mouth dashes over towards his froggy foe. Gamabunta's backside is bashed in (-4% - Gamabunta; -3% - Rudioshu), causing the frog to grunt. Kappaduck follows behind as they climb down the banaster towards the ground many meters below.

The walk gave them plenty of time to relax, (+5% - Kappaduck, Rudioshu, Trios, Gamabunta), and the casual banter amongst them calmed them down. However, once they realized that the door to the casino was locked, they locked eyes towards one another, remembering why they hate one another ("They stand for everything we don't stand for!).

Battle-ready once more, the four pokemon make their preparations. Rudioshu beings the onslaught by shooting off a chain of fire that manages to wrap around Trios. The red metal bug squeels in pain as the air around him gets hotter and hotter, causing great damage (-10% - Trios; -7% - Rudioshu). The flames die down, and Trios, now very angry, darts towards the combusken with claws outstretched. Rudio yelps in pain as Trios beats against his body with metal claws (-10% - Rudioshu; -7% - Trios), then head butts him (-5% - Rudioshu; -3% - Trios).

Meanwhile, Kappa closes his eyes and concentrates on the frog pokemon. Gamabunta's head begins trembling in pain as he attempts to ready his water attack (-6% - Gamabunta; -5% - Kappaduck). His head quite hurt, Gamabunta breathes in, then blasts out a glob of water which flies through the air, slamming into the combusken as he recovers from Trios' vendetta (-8% - Rudioshu; -5% - Gamabunta).

Pulling together, Rudio looks around looking for something to throw. Not having a table to fling, Rudio decides to hurl another heavy object. He flexes his muscles before lifting the scizor high above his head; grunting out of tiredness, Rudio hurls the scizor at the door (-6% - Trios; -6% - Rudioshu), breaking it down and granting everyone access to the casino. Yay! Kappaduck, annoyed and vengeful, darts towards 'bunta with his arms crossed together. Fighting spirit envelops his arms as he slams them into Gamabunta's torso, causing great damage (-6% - Gamabunta; -5% - Kappaduck). The politoed winces in pain, but doesn't allow the hit to detract him from his target. He breathes in once more before shooting off a beam of solidified water that strikes the already wet Rudio. The ice causes less damage than the water, however, (-4% - Rudioshu; -5% - Gamabunta).

Tired, yet able, the four pokemon walk into the casino, greeted by loud and annoying bells and whistles. I hope no one has a gambling problem.

Rudi lets keep Scizor in pain. Use a fire spin/willo-o-wisp combo and follow up with sky uppercut. If your foe protects or detects, use feint.

Kappa use psychic on Politoed. Then use focus blast on Scizor and end with shadow claw on Politoed. Again, use feint if your foes try and use protect or detect.
