Default Jesus Island (Sign-ups open indefinately)

... So I've had this NEW POST thing open for like. five hours. orz

Anyway. IT STARTS. I'm not gonna bother reposting everything from the sign-up topic. PM me if there are questions, etc, etc. Off we go!

    JESUS ISLAND

At about 2 PM, a group of helicopters was flying over the ocean. Their destination slowly appeared before them, then grew until those in the helicopter could make out detail.

The island stretched out before them. Perhaps it wasn't as big as it seemed, but the conflicting environments all in one place made it look incredibly large. A snowy field that bordered a tropical forest, that bordered on a large lake, which in turn bordered a rocky plane. In the center of the island was a large rock formation, surrounding several large buildings: The school itself. The helicopters slowed down, and made a noisy landing on the roof.

Students began to pile out of the helicopter, as a PA system began to give out instructions. "Assigned rooms are listed in the auditorium, which is immediately below you. Curfew is 10 PM. New students who don't have a Pokemon already, report to the gymnasium and you will be provided with an Island Ball and sent out to capture one." It went on in this vein for several minutes.

A black-haired boy, Tatsuya, looked to his white-haired sister. "Guess that's us." He grinned.

"Apparently." The sister, Hime, replied. The siblings went inside with the rest of the crowd.

The school's inside had one very noticable trait to it: It was very, very large. Even the hallways were at least ten feet taller than they really needed to be, likely to accomodate Pokemon walking the halls as well. Fortunately for the new students, there were maps posted every so often for students to look at to get their bearings.

The gym was impressive. It looked as though it had been made to withstand the force of twenty-odd Rhydons (and, in actuality, it had. The school does not allow Rhydon Football anymore, especially indoors.) and was very large. In the middle was a smiling man handing out balls, island maps, and giving instructions. He wore an odd robe, with a name tag reading 'Albireo' clipped to it. There was also a large line leading up to him.

Tatsuya and Hime finally made it to the front of the lines, where the man handed them each a Pokeball. "You only get one ball." He told them. "Don't try to sneak back into the line for a second, please. The ball is a guaranteed capture, so don't waste it. Staff will not tell you where any Pokemon are, as we believe we can figure it out yourselves. Though there are no truly dangerous Pokemon out right now available for capture, please do not attempt to pick a fight with anything, as we will not be held responsible for any injuries, no matter how severe. It's recommended you stay in small groups while searching in case of freak accidents or a Pokemon rampage."

The siblings walked away, slightly disconcerted. "Did he have to keep smiling like that while he talked about rampaging Pokemon?" Hime asked.

"Well, would you rather he looked evil and menacing while he talked about it?" Tatsuya pointed out.

"Point taken." She muttered. "Well, if we're supposed to be staying in groups for searching, I guess we'd better look for someone to join with us?"

Tatsuya began to whistle the music from an RPG that played when new people joined the party.

"Stop that and help me look." Hime told him. The two then went to the side of the gym with the most people to look for others.

Name: Dru Pyronson (Yes, the same!)
    Gender: Female
    Age: 20
    Job: Battle Instructor, school administration
    Main Pokemon: Flareon, "Torch", female
Appearance: Standing at 5'10 with rich black hair, fair skin, and dark blue eyes, she's a mystery from first sight. She would have a pleasant face if she would just smile more, but usually her face is either blank or scowling. Her ears are pierced multiple times, three in each ear lobe and twice in the left cartilage. There are scars on her face that hint at her left eyebrow having been pierced a few times in the past, and her lower lip has a similar scar. She still has her tattoos, the only normally visible one being the blue and black Celtic knotwork around her right bicep. When she wears a tank top, others are often glimpsed on her back, but never for long enough that they can be identified. Her lower body, from just below her hips, is covered in serious scarring from the fires she was caught in when she was five.
Her wardrobe is predominantly black, dark blue, and purple. She seems to have nothing but plain shirts in these three colors and black jeans. Never is she seen wearing anything that leaves her legs exposed. Heavy black boots are always on her feet. Her piercings are all adorned with small, silver hoops, and several silver necklaces hang around her neck, the most noticeable being a western dragon and a cat with a pentacle.
Personality: Gone are her semi-happy teen years. Having spent time in prison, she's become hardened, cold, and unforgiving. Mistakes are unacceptable, and her students will learn that she isn't one to mess around with. Quick to anger, slow to forgive, and more than willing to hold a grudge, she's dangerous in and out of battle. Every once in a while, a faint glimmer of her old self shines through, though she takes her job so seriously it usually only happens in a one-on-one situation.
Type Focus: Fire; she also works with Ghost and Dark types.
History: When she was five years old, fire swept through the section of Cerulean City she and her family (her mother and brother) lived in. With the help of Torch, she survived with the scars that now haunt her, but her mother and brother were never found. At the time, it was said that the fire was so hot, it destroyed the bodies. When she was sixteen, she found that her twin brother survived with amnesia, and her mother had returned home to Johto and was now a gym leader there. Her father, whom she had never known, finally contacted her with the offer to join Team Rocket as an officer. She was torn, finally agreed, but was caught before the end of her sophomore year of high school and did time. She was released a year and a half later, but her old friends at school rejected her. She turned back to Team Rocket and they never heard from her again.
Team Rocket member: Very much yes. She's a "junior exec", if you will.
Misc. Notes: She still plays guitar, and every once in a while, the sound of a lone soloist floats out over the school in the middle of the night, not loud enough to wake anyone, but can be heard if you listen for it. Some say it's for a lost love, though most don't believe her capable of such a thing.

"Why did I agree to this again?" I asked, looking out the window at the students going off in search of Pokemon, disgusted. I folded my arms across my chest, scowling, and turned back to the classroom I had been appointed.

Torch merely looked at me with her big, black eyes. She knew that when I was in this mood, which was more often than not, it was best to just let me vent. I threw myself into the large swivel chair behind the desk in the front of the classroom and leaned back, putting my boots up on the desk itself. I glanced at Torch, who hadn't moved.

"Well, come on, then," I told her, holding my hand out. She walked over and jumped up onto my lap. I worried about her; she was about seventeen or eighteen years old now, and between one thing and another, she hadn't had an easy life. Most of it was because of me. She settled in, laying her head down on my knee, and I gently stroked her back. Anything that she needed was made available immediately, thanks to my father, but she wasn't as young as she once was.

I sighed, enjoying the last day of peace. By this time tomorrow, I would be surrounded by pouty little brats and their pathetic little Pokemon. Somehow, I was going to have to turn them into a well-balanced, strong, trained army. Despite my father's claims of faith in my abilities, I still had misgivings about the whole thing. Not all of the children would understand the larger, grander picture, not like I had at their age. No, this was a path leading either towards overwhelming success or disastrous failure... and I was betting more on the latter. However, I had been given my orders, and as many of my peers were quick to remind me, I was his daughter, not he himself. I hadn't had to fight my way up through the ranks like so many of them had, and they resented that. On more than one occasion, though, I had shown them that I was more than capable of doing so, if I'd had the mind to.

There was a crash in my office, and I rolled my eyes, turning my head toward the slightly ajar door. "MORGAN!" I yelled.

The Gengar appeared behind me, apparently pleased with herself. She lived for causing mischief and havoc; she listened to me, and never did any great harm, but sometimes did annoy me.

"Go harass someone else, would you? Hutch, maybe, or go scare some of those kids out there... Or both. Something. Just stop wrecking my office, OK?"

She laughed and disappeared again. Like Torch, I'd had her since I was young, and never had the heart to keep her pent up, since she hated it so much. She was also useful for gathering information; all of the staff knew that I acted as my father's eyes and ears, and that Morgan could be where I was not. Yet another reason why so many of them disliked me, Rocket or otherwise. I didn't care, though. I did my job and did it well; if they had a problem with it, it was because they didn't do theirs.

I leaned back in my chair a little more and relaxed. Who knew what was to come, but I was going to spend this time with the one creature who had never abandoned me. Come what may; Torch and I would meet it head-on, together.

Alright, my bad... I really can't come up with anything, but I figure a bad post is better than no post. Anyone else intend to keep this afloat?

    Here? About time.

I blinked a couple times as I woke from what must've been an hour-long nap, trying to gain my bearings and struggling to stand evenly once I got off the helicopter onto solid ground. We had reached the island, an event I was largely indifferent towards, where I was evidently to complete my schooling, another topic I couldn't care less about. I suppose now was time best used in reflection, biding, waiting for something... I didn't know what exactly that may have been at the time, but when it came, I knew I'd know.
As more students piled out of the copter onto the roof, I made a point to distance myself from them and hover precariously close to the edge, and caught the gyst of the announcement, taking my time before heading down toward the gymnasium. I hadn't heard whether or not I was supposed to be there or the auditorium, so it was with a little amusement I approached a queue for something, what exactly I was not sure. I peered ahead in annoyance, noting that there was a lot more humanity ahead before I'd reach the front of the line, possibly only to get told I shouldn't be there in the first place.

Rather than be a good little drone, I decided I'd flex my proverbial grey matter and try and scam someone else out of a better position.
I scooted ahead a couple places until I found a sucker nearer to the front of the line, the kind who looked like easy game for my negotiation skills.
"Excuse me," I said with a hint of feigned innocence as I tapped them on the shoulder, "I'm kinda nervous about being around so many new faces... Is there any chance I could slip in next to you?"
