Default Digimon: Virtues and Sins[Starts!][No LSU's!][M]

    digimon:Virtues and Sins
    A Digimon:The Final Exam rehash by haruko-san

In a world far similar to ours, yet not quite the same; lived 3 great angels. Lumieremon of Light and Prudence, Fuemon of Fire and Dignity, and Ventmon of Wind and Mercy. These 3 angelic beings, not human but of a species that reigned the planet; known as "Digimon", ruled the Digital World from it's birth, with never a quarrel until one dark digimon and his 3 subordinates appeared.

Lucemon and his 3 "fallen" angels, Aimon of Earth and Lust, Narcissmon of Water and Greed, and Obisidiamon of Darkness and Loneliness/Envy, planned an attack on the 3 angels castle. Although the security was tight, Lucemon and his subordinates broke through and challenged them for the throne of the world. Each squaring off with their opposite - Lumieremon versus Obisidiamon, Ventmon versus Aimon and Fuemon versus Narcissmon. The battle was close, but with Lucemon growing impatient, he stepped in and killed all three unjustly. Seeing this, the 3 angels promised to get back their throne one day as their data collected into the air and dispersed - heading to where it could one day recollect and get their revenge.

    Earth.

It has been over a digital millennia since that fight, and many things have happened in the Digital World since then. Lucemon was dethroned by Ophanimon, Seraphimon and Cherubimon, and failed to rise to in power again after the digital world called on the aid of humans. However; even with the consecutive attempts of defeating Lucemon, his data was never deleted. Getting more corroded within each attempt of deletion, Lucemon has reformed by using some of the core digital data itself into "Lucemon Fallen Mode". Along with reviving his subordinates, who's data were frozen in shrines around the digital world; Lucemon is planning a hostile take over - even if it means reformatting the very data of the world itself. He takes his 3 fallen angels and steals the soul and being of a human on earth in order to get his wishes accomplished at all costs.

Knowing the fated time has arisen, Ophanimon, Cherubimon and Seraphimon have called upon 10 human beings to control the 10 elemental spirits of the digital world. However, 3 of those humans have a secret they themselves barely, or don't, know about.

Their own soul is one of the original rulers of the Digital World; seeking revenge.

It's beautiful, yet humid, summer break in Japan. A sense of peace, or maybe a sense of responsibility has filled your life as of late, Playing on the beach, doing summer homework, staying inside and watching TV, your day seems to be normal until you find a colored floppy disk near by. Curiously drawn in by the old technology, you pick it up only to find yourself unable to move, and a voice in your head.

"Child of -----, heed our call.."*
As the gentle voice ends, you pass out, only to awaken at a train station on a beach front town. Along with 9 other people, you have recieved a D-Scanner, a digital device that allows the storage of other digital data, and the storage of your own spirit. As well, it seems you've either acquired an ability - fire breathing or manipulation of the wind, or a weapon - like a claymore or daggers,in order to defend yourself in this world when you do not have access to your spirit - or cannot access it by some means. As you gather your thoughts and talk to the others, a strange cat looking like digimon walks by and smiles at your appearance.

"Welcome to the Digital World, saviours."

    ------------

    Nameatoshi Takinowa
    Age:18, 19 in December.
    Gender: Male
Appearance: Satoshi stands around 5'7" with sky blue eyes and messy brown hair(in a hairstyle much like this); traits that get him called a gaijin(foreigner), but are traits he inherited from his grandparents. His skin is fair while his build is a bit lanky - although he participated in track and field while in middle and high school and tends to eat a fair bit. Likes to wear khaki pants and a black button-down shirt with a white undershirt., Wears a pair of glasses with a thin metal rim.
Personality: An all around good guy, Satoshi is one to care about others before himself and tends to put their needs in front of his own. It's known that he tends to stem away at reality to keep himself happy, and avoids things that are bothering him in order to keep himself upbeat; mostly because if he's upset, "Others will worry about me."
    Element:Thunder / Raikomon
D-Scanner: Yellow base with a black grip.
Weapon/Ability: The ability to channel natural lightning, and control static electricity at will. This leads to quite a few incidents.
History: Having been one of the chosen children 4 years ago, Satoshi fell in love with Laura Karrde, and was deeply depressed when they departed after the defeat(?) of Lucemon. After a 6 month period of depression, Satoshi created a much fake reality to himself that allowed him to be much more upbeat - he tends to avoid much of reality and although this concerns his mother, he denies all of it. It allowed him to graduate High School, and he is now preparing to attend college for a business major.
Relationships: In love with Laura Karrde, knows Shun by his father's business.
    Other: Birthdate is December 31st.

    Spirit:
    Name: Raikomon
    Type: Vaccine / Lion type.
    Element: Thunder
Appearance: From the tip of his mane to the floor, his height is 6'7" while his length, from the tip of his tail to his nose, is around 7' even. He resembles a huge lion with a black mane and yellow fur with black stripes around his body that resemble lightning strikes. His eyes are a fierce gold and both his teeth and claws are very sharp.
    Attacks:
1.Deafening Howl: Howls with a powerful force, electrocuting the opponent by the shock waves it sends out.
2.Thunder Slasher: His claws glow a fierce blue as he charges onto the opponent, slashing them with the sheer force of thunder.
3.Maelstrom: The stripes on his body glow as the clouds thicken above the opponent, sending consecutive rounds of electricity through lightning through the opponent. Tends to be used up until Raikomon reverts back to Satoshi; since the attack itself cannot be controlled once started.
Other: Satoshi is not able to control this well until later on.

    ---

    Name:Alias is "Shun". 松本天子(Matsumoto Tenshi).
    Age: 17
    Gender: Male
Appearance: Around 6"0 with teal eyes that he inherited from his mother, and black hair that goes down to his upper back and pulled into a loose ponytail. Shun's skin is a fair, inheriting his mother's fair skin opposed to his fathers more tanned skin, and a lanky body with muscles on the arms and legs. Shun has been wearing his school's summer uniform during the summer, that is, a white short-sleeved thin coat with a dark blue shirt, and black pants. Keeps a bracelet in his pocket that was his mothers and tends to wear it when he's alone.
Personality: A person with a cold heart, Shun acts hostile to anyone outside of his clubs at school - the computer club and the naginata club. He keeps an air of solitude about him and tends to give out smart ass remarks most of the time, only being polite and quiet to teachers and staff. Unable to make friends, Shun keeps himself a mile away from people and yet examines them all the time in curiosity.

Shun, outside of school and clubs, is known to be a decent hacker and is employed by his fathers company(by force) as the techie.
    Element:Light / Tenshimon / Lumieremon
D-Scanner: Dark blue with a white base.
Weapon/Ability: A naginata. The pole is painted a deep blue with wisps of white, while the blade is kept ever so sharp. Found next to Shun in a cloth sheath of sorts, which is dark blue with white sakura blossoms painted onto it.
History: After his mother died when he was 5, he found himself alone with his father - who seemed to be going mad at the time from the loss of his wife. Since Shun resembles his mother in many ways, he forced many of the house tasks onto Shun, and upon that, "other things". Being abused for most of his life, he was also never allowed outside of the house after school, and started to hate his classmates for being able to have friends. This cultured into the Shun we have today; besides the fact that his only outlet of joy was the computer - his father had him learn it after Shun showed a natural talent in it. He's allowed to participate in the computer club and naginata club - one he took up for himself since it was an art his mother did.

Shun truly does not hate people, but doesn't understand them, and therefore, doesn't interact with them. Only watches far away as an observer.
Relationships: Knows Satoshi by father's law business. Is in love with Ishida Nanase in the real world, age 17; but isn't "taken".
Other: Has started to have dreams involving Lumieremon as of late. (Birthdate is May 23rd) Has a visible scar on his left side of his lower back, in a shape of a crescent.

    Spirit:
    Name:Tenshimon
Type: Data / Angelic Knight type
    Element: Light
Appearance: Like an angel, Tenshimon stands at 6'7" with pale skin and an European medieval knights armor on his body except for his head, which reveals a soft face of silver eyes and blond hair that goes down to his mid back. His armor is a brilliant silver and seems to be thick, yet Tenshimon flies in the air with ease with the pair of angelic wings on his back. He carries with him a shield and a long sword with a red ruby in the hilt.
    Attacks:
1.Angelic Defender: Raises up his shield as it glows, emitting a strong barrier around himself and others. Breaks after a certain number attacks, or breaks after 1 strong attack.
2.Wings of Heaven: Emits some of the feathers on his wings, stopping them in mid air as they glow with a bright light. With a flick of a wrist, he sends them at his opponent, aiming them with his thoughts.
3.Glorious Light: Concentrating, the ruby on the sword emits a rainbow colored glow as he disappears, slashing the opponent with all his might; at the speed of light. Takes most of his energy.
Other: Know's Shun is Lumieremon the first time Shun evolves into him.

    Angels:
    Name:Lumieremon
    Type: Vaccine.
    Element:Light
Appearance: 6'5" with fair skin, Lumieremon is quite a handsome angel, as he likes to put it. His eyes are a light gold as his hair is a sparkling silver that goes down to his midback. His body is covered in golden runes that look like swirls and hexagrams. He seems to not remember what he used to wear when he was alive last, so he copies over what Shun wears and tailors it to his fit. He wears a white long coat and black pants with a belt, and a blue dress shirt. The shirt and coat allow for his wings to emerge, which are both gallant and beautiful in their appearance. On his belt holds the sword "Hikaru", which is a European style sword with blue and red gems in the hilt.
Personality: Although wise, Lumieremon has a tendency to over-react or just misjudge a situation completely. He wishes that Shun wasn't so cold to other people and knows that the only way for Shun to understand them is to stop observing and to interact.
    Attacks:
1,Heaven's Light: Concentrating on the wound of an ally, he can heal it moderately with his own light. However, this has been altered because of Shun, and is more powerful or weaker depending on Shun's mood.
2.Apollo's Grace: Pointing Hikaru at the Sun, the sword is engulfed in light as he charges falsely at the enemy; only to appear behind them to slash quite a few times.
3.Heaven's Judgment: With his eyes and runes glowing a golden color, Hikaru glows as well as he flies up into the air at a incredibly fast speed, coming down at his opponent in a golden cyclone of light energy.
His other 2 attacks are not known at this time.
Other: Can change Hikaru into a Naginata with a red pole and long, curved blade. Attacks are still the same.

    takinowa satoshi

It's been almost 4 years since that fateful encounter. Travelling to another world, saving it, meeting someone who I loved; no, still love, deeply. All of that seemed like a forlorn dream now, so very far away.

Most of it, anyway. I still longed for her face once more, at least once more.

I sighed as I placed the keys to my car on the hook as I arrived "home". I was now 19, living out of the house in a 1 room, 1 small bathroom apartment where I'd eat and sleep in the same room, using a kotatsu and a fold up futon. I started my first college semester after this summer break, along side with my job at the local department store. All of it was overwhelming, yet, I needed to take it all in.

If I didn't, others would worry about me..this is what I told myself, anyway, as I placed a smile on my face, starting the tea water and sitting down next to the kotatsu*, turning on the televison.

'Nothing on, always boring..'I thought to myself as I flipped through the channels, I kept on a game show as I took a magazine from the middle of the kotatsu, a "College Life - WHAT you need to do to be prepared!" magazine that my friends pushed me to buy, and skimmed through it. I had read most of it, and it all seemed to point out the obvious with inserts to various companies - obviously just a way for college kids to spend more money. I shook my head as I placed it down as the tea water started to steam through, making a high pitched noise. I got up and went over to the stove, turning down the water.

As I poured the water into a cup with a tea bag, I saw a curious looking object on the counter. I stopped pouring, placing it back on the stove as I walked towards it. It seemed like a floppy disk of sort, but those were wy out dated and not of any use. Was it something Shun left on his last visit here? It was a bright yellow though; almost blinding.

"I'll place you somewhere safe until I give you to Shun-kun."I smiled, picking up the floppy. It was then that the senses in my body went numb, the only thing I could hear was my very heart beating as I fell onto my knees, and then onto my chest as the hand holding the floopy laid out away from it.I strained my eyes on it, what exactly was going on?

Before I could find out an answer, however, my eyes felt a heavy darkness upon them, and soon themselves shut down.

"Child of Lightning, heed our call.."

    -//destination:digital world-

It felt like a millenia until I awoke from what seemed to be a truck running over my body. My eyes slowly opened to the feeling of wind in my face, the smell of salt in the air and the feeling of metal to my back. I heard a crackling noise all over my body as I slowly sat up, gathering the view around me. It seemed that I was no longer in my room; but on a train station platform with 9 others, most who seemed to be stirring themselves. I looked at my left hand, which used to held the floppy. It was now holding a kind of device, and my entire hand, no, body, was crackling in a blue lightning.

"Calm down lightning-boy."A cat like being came up to me, startling me as I felt more lightning go through my body - but not harm it. "Relax or you're going to shock everyone here!"

I sighed and took a deep breath in, I felt the crackling of lightning go away. That being, was she a digimon? Then..this was the digital world. I opened my eyes as the others seemed to be more awake now, and I saw Shun, who seemed to be scooting himself away from the rest but close enough to the cat-digimon, and..

    a black haired..

    Laura?

"Welcome to the Digital World, our saviors."The cat digimon smiled, "I'm Gatomon, your tour guide."

    matsumoto tenshi a.k.a "Shun"

"Wow, you're as good as a hacker as the coworkers say!"One of my so-called-co workers, Ishida-san, said in disbelief as I used virtual desktop to go into his computer and check through his daughters files for junk.
"This isn't hacking, it's snooping."I told him coldly."And it only seems like your daughter has a love interest the same age." I told him, and he sighed in relief. There were rumors lately going about of a pedophile using the internet to get girls from the local; well, my high school. Ishida Nanase was a classmate of mine and a practitioner of the naginata, and her father worked for the scum called my father. One part of that made me willing to help him out; guess which?

Either way, I checked through the files and confirmed she hadn't made any contact with someone with a suspicious IP address, but to keep a close eye on her behavior during summer break. I smiled as he payed me the 4000 yen as I logged off the virtual desktop, and I walked back to my cubby, spinning around in my chair after I placed the bill in my money clip. My station was a mess, as always, papers of things to do; which never ceased to exist, and a box of pocky - chocolate coffee flavored. My LCD monitor was never used, I had it pushed aside for my personal laptop. I'd much rather use my Linux-based OS and my own personal apps instead of what they used here; especially with my father being the one who made the choices in software - even with me helping him.

"It's my own firm, let me make my own damn decisions!"I mocked him as I put a stick of pocky in my mouth, and chewed on it as I looked around my desk one more time. Something seemed out of place..and I found it. Near my LCD screen was a white floppy disk - an ancient relic from old times. I stared at it, as I only owned one or two and they were in my room. Was this some sort of random gift from a coworker, or a cruel joke from father-dearest? I picked it up and as I did, the nerves in my body felt a relatively sharp pain; followed only by a void. The pocky that was in my mouth fell to the floor as I felt the room around me spin until my eyes closed from it all..

"Child of Light, heed our call'

    -destination:digital world\\-

I was floating in a bright white room as I seemingly opened my eyes. In front of me was the man, no, angelic being who was reappearing in my dreams as of late. Golden eyes, silver hair, wearing my clothing. He smiled and waved as he saw me floating in the room, while he was only sitting.

"The time has come, Tenshi-kun~"He smiled.
"I told you the first time, it's Shun!"I replied, and he laughed.
"Thats not your real name though, the one mother gave us, right?"He said, and I glared back at him sharply as he sighed."Well, you're about to wake up. I guess we'll see each other soon, then?" He smiled as the room faded away, and gave way to more darkness.

The smell of the sea, the feeling of the wind in my face..all gave warnings to that I wasn't in my cubical anymore as I stood straight up way too quickly, opening my eyes to the blinding light. As quickly as my eyes adjusted, I looked around and saw a few, more so like 9, other people that I didn't know..besides Takinowa-kun, who was a complete airhead. I felt myself grasping something with my right hand, and checking it, it was a dark blue device. I pressed a few buttons, to no response, and sighed as I placed it in my pocket. I scooted myself away from the others, and I bumped into something familiar.

"a naginata..?"I mumbled, looking at a long, dark blue cloth sheath that seemed to call out to me for some reason. Opening it, inside, was a naginata; of all things. I looked around quickly and resheathed it.

"Hey, long haired kid! Don't you go anywhere!"A cat like beast yelled out to me as I continued to try to sneak away from the rest of the group, but to no avail as I was caught. I sighed as I scooted closer to the being, but away enough that I was comfortable from the group. It seemed that we were on a large train platform, in an beach side town.

"Welcome to the Digital World, our saviors."The cat beast smiled, "I'm Gatomon, your tour guide."

[Shun has a dream with Lumieremon prior to waking up due to having similar ones as of late. Reincarnations can have similar dreams if they wish.]

Default Re: Digimon: Virtues and Sins[Starts!][No LSU's!]

    Nameofia Tessarossa
    Age: 16
    Gender: Female
Appearance: Standing at roughly six foot tall, she's pretty tall for her age, bearing pale blonde, almost white hair to her rear, and piercing blue eyes. She normally sports rather rugged, but finely tailored black pants, white shirt, and black overcoat, as well as a black and white patterned backpack. On her right ring finger is an obviously expensive ring bearing the insignia of the Tessarossa corporation(A silver T in a gold triangle, with a black background), her father's company. Generrally has one of two expressions on her face, one of extreme boredom or one of intent interest and thought. To top it all off, she has a set of pince-nez glasses made with silver.
Personality: While generally nice and polite, this is merely due to how she was raised and the fact that she considers it a necessary societal norm, in truth, she is stunted in terms of empathy and conscience, being so far unable to truly feel for another, or feel guilt or remorse. The sole driving factor for most of her actions is the avoidance of boredom, which comes as a side effect of her blinding brilliance and talent. Has a bad habit of accidentally offending people when pointing out how "obvious" something like calculus is.
    Element: Metal
    D-Scanner: Silver with Black base.
Weapon/Ability: Ability to, at will, turn herself into living metal.
History:Born to old money parents, it was discovered early on that Sofia was fantastically brilliant, and, by the age of ten, had graduated from high school, mastered over ten instruments, and had scores of other accomplishments. Her parents, proud of her, have doted on her, seemingly blind to the psychological problems she suffers from. She was about to finish up college when she was called to the digital world.
Relationships: None, so far, though she does have a bit of renown, and it may be likely that people have heard of her.
    Other:

    Spirit:
    Name: Argentimon
    Type: Virus
    Element: Metal
Appearance: Standing at seven foot tall, Argentimon is humanoid, made of a shimmering silver, and wearing gold armor, with silver wings jutting out her back. Her hair is long, and straight, and she wields a golden sword.
Attacks: Silver Feather: Flapping her wings, Argentimon flings many of her feathers out as sharp, lethal darts.
Golden Blade of Victory: Brandishing her blade in both hands, it begins to glow a pale golden light, and she strikes, slashing into her foe.
Eternal Foundry of the Gods: Using all of her remaining power, she calls into existence a vast number of blades, before sending them piercing into her opponent(s).

I nodded to myself, putting finishing touches on my final projects for the year, making sure every slight detail was correct. After all, it wouldn't do if I were to actually make a mistake. I hated mistakes. But... sometimes they also made things interesting. Frowning, I focussed on the screen again, satisfied that I'd found any possible mistakes.

Standing, I turned away from the computer as it saved my files, heading to the mansion's library, perhaps I could find a book I hadn't read yet. Walking along the rows upon rows of books, I rapidly scanned over the book titles, automatically dismissing the vast majority, noting some for later consideration. Then, I came across a book I hadn't read at all. It must've been a new acquisition.

A treatise on Da Vinci? Father must've gotten it for me, I'd better thank him later.

Pulling the book out, I saw a silvery, old style floppy disc fall to the ground. I looked at it, puzzled. This wasn't the sort of thing father or mother would buy, and it was so... odd. But, that took in the key issue of why such a thing was in the building, let alone the library section, had somebody planted it? Was it even safe?

After a while of observation, I reached out to touch the odd item, instantly regretting it as numbness raced through my body, causing me to collapse to the floor, attempting desperately to move, as I heard a voice in my head.

Child of Metal, hear our call...

    one Digital transition later...

I blinked, taking in the difference of scenery, and I had to wonder, was I hallucinating? Dreaming, perhaps? No... this was too real, no matter how odd. The tang of the sea in my nose, the wind rustling through my hair... Then I noticed the others. A number of boys and girls, the youngest appeared to be about fourteen, all in all, we totaled ten people. I glanced at the odd object in my hand, before I saw an odd catlike creature, bipedal, with... mitten claws?

I shook my head, before I noticed there was an object in my hand... an odd, apparently electrical device. Silver on black, not a bad color scheme, as far as such things went. As the cat creature, Gatomon, introduced herself, one thought occurred to me...

Well, looks like I'll have plenty to keep me from being bored...

(anyone who wants to, feel free to recognize just who Sofia is, she's appeared on magazines and the like before, as well as TV)

Default Re: Digimon: Virtues and Sins[Starts!][No LSU's!]

As I may or may not have said earlier, I'm pretty clueless about Digimon as a whole, so feel free to yell at me and point my stupid ass in the right direction if/when I screw up.

    Name: Chase Metolly (pronounced 'muh-TULL-ee')
    Age: 20

    Gender: Male
Appearance: Chase is a rather small guy for his age, standing at 5'10" and weighing 165 pounds. He's not muscular, but he does have some meatiness to his arms and especially his legs, which are the strongest parts of his body. He has chocolate-brown eyes and short blonde hair, which spills out around a white headband he wears. His skin is a bit darker than that of other Caucasias', giving him a year-round tan. He dresses casually, often in a plain T-shirt, jeans that are torn on one or both knees, and a pair of white running shoes.
Personality: Chase is a shy, self-conscious individual who is kind to everyone he meets, mostly due to fear of rejection. Even the most fleeting of introductions and meetings are enough to cause him alarm, which often leads to broken speech and a shy, downward glance that he later berate himself over. Once Chase becomes calm enough around someone, though, he'll watch their back and protect them with his life.
Unfortunately, as kind as Chase is, he's just that: kind. Everyone he meets or talks to sees only his kind side; he keeps any hints of sadness or anger pent up inside himself. This is where things start to go bad... (More on that later.)
    Element: Ice
D-Scanner: Unlike the other saviors, Chase's scanner is THREE colors: its base is an icy blue, but the rest of the scanner is split in two: on the right, it's a snow-white color, and on the left, it's a frigid, eerie navy color, like the darkest depths of space.
History: Chase was raised in America early in his life: He lived in a small house with his parents, constantly sneaking out to go to the park nearby and just go wild. He didn't really know why, but he simply loved to run, kick, climb... His parents called him a 'monkey' on many occasions, and while Chase usually got in trouble for sneaking out, it never stopped him from doing it again. Until one day...
Chase came home late one afternoon at the age of eight, finding his parents to be nowhere in sight. He stayed home by himself, waiting for hours, until finally his mother came home, sobbing hysterically. Chase's father had been hit by a truck earlier that day and killed. He hadn't been watching the traffic at a busy intersection. But why?
Because he was looking for his son.
Chase never quite got over the horrible ordeal; it was months before his mother seemed to forgive her son. Chase became introverted and totally obedient to his mother, and soon to his teachers and any other authority figure, and finally almost everyone. Never a no came from his mouth - just a forced, bright smile and a submissive nod, and he went and did as he was told. He wouldn't say boo to anyone for the longest time, instead just letting his negative emotions build up until they reached the breaking point...
Chase and his mother moved to Japan when Chase was 16, the two of them seeking a fresh start. Though life seemed to improve after the move, it was too late to salvage Chase's sanity: Though kind on the outside, a dark entity had developed within his body, his bottled-up anger and pain amalgamating into a conscious form known as 'Grim.' Why 'Grim?' Because if pushed too far, Chase will release the monster. And if that happens, I'll give you one guess as to whom the bell is tolling for.
Weapon/Ability: As one might suspect, Chase abhors fighting; however, when he or his friends or relations are threatened, Chase and Grim actually combine themselves to form a much braver - but also much more violent - Chase; in this state, or as purely Grim, his weapon appears. It is a bizarre weapon, not a sickle as one may expect, but rather a seemingly normal-looking sword... with a blade coated in ice. The ice is cold enough to freeze most anything it touches; the freezing is immediately followed with the sword's full swing, which shatters whatever it strikes.
Relationships: He'll take to Karry almost instantly (Maybe he already has - I'll have to discuss it with H_L.); everyone else, he'll be either shy around at first or he'll try to avoid, depending on how much he likes (or dislikes) them.
Other: Grim is a curious entity - while powerful and created by feelings of rage and sadness, he won't (or can't) take over Chase's body without the boy's consent, which he is only given when Chase's patience wears out and his anger clouds his judgement - an after-effect of Chase's vast patience. Chase can switch between his three personalities willingly, but he has trouble switching back prematurely (like in the midst of battle, or a slump of depression, etc.). If he becomes sad, he allows Grim to take over, but the dark being will not fight. He'll instead simply live up to his namesake.

    Spirit:
    Name: Golemon
    Type: Vaccine
    Element: Ice
Appearance: Golemon is a being made of ice, but this isn't at all evident by simply looking at him. He stands at exactly 6,' and looks much like Chase. However, this is merely a ruse: he appears human only as a result of bending light through his crystal body, filling his features with the right color. His eyes are shiny and totally blue, like small mirrors, and his hair is concealed by a mane of icicle-like spines, like Sonic the Hedgehog has. His fists are larger than they should be and are clearly made of ice or snow. His torso, sleeves, and legs are covered by some sort of shiny black material: literal 'black ice,' and his feet are flat and rather broad, allowing him to slide easily across ice (or most other terrains, as he can freeze the ground under his feet and create his own 'skate-path,' Iceman-style)
    Attacks:
    1. Ice Breakers: Golemon's icy fists reshape into anything he desires, provided it is the same mass and can function with only ice. This obviously excludes atom bombs and the like, but it does include his sword, maces, daggers, keys (on his fingers, obviously), scissors, and more. Whether the rest of his body can be effected this way is currently unknown.
    2. Heat-Seeking Cold Wave: Another Sonic the Hedgehog reference, Golemon curls into a ball of ice studded with huge spines all over; he fires these spines, which hone in on targets and impale them.
    3. Zero Kelvin: Golemon concentrates his Ice power into a ball, beam, or wave of pure Ice energy at -273.15 degrees Celsius. Anything struck by this attack will have its very atomic structure frozen at Absolute Zero, and will be stuck that way until it thaws or is shattered. Golemon can also spontaneously revoke this maneuver, so if he were to accidentally strike a teammate, he could instantly 'thaw' them. Repeated use and un-use of this move quickly depletes Golemon's energy.
Other: Much like the Pokemon Regice, Golemon's body, though made of ice, is extremely durable and won't crack, break, or melt easily. He can move through ice, just as Nagendramon and Ranmon can through earth and water, but anything else, he'll simply break through if he can.

    Chase

Footsteps slammed against the pavement at high speed.

The young man dashed across the grassy plains not too far from his home at a speed that most humans had no hope of acheiving, his eyes squeezed shut (Making it much harder to run.).

"Stupid stupid stupid!" the teen scolded himself in a surprisingly young voice for his age. "Chase, you baka! How could you make such an idiot of yourself!? You knew how important this was...!"
    [-------FLASHBACK-------]
Chase sighed as he looked at the young woman applying for college. No more than 15 or 16, it seemed impossible that she could be applying to college, and yet there she was.

But this wasn't what Chase was preoccupied with - he was more focused on the girl herself.

She was a gorgeous blend of Japanese and American beauty, her golden hair acting as a perfect complement for her ocean-colored, almond-shaped eyes. Though the look on her face was hard and emotionless, something about those eyes seemed to draw Chase in... They were like bottomless pools of the purest water.

Pure water... Said to exorcise evil; to fill even the darkest soul with light... Chase wished he could be immersed in their gaze forever.

It was love at first sight. He had to talk to her.

Acting before he could think, Chase waited for her to step off the line; as she began to walk away, Chase approached her, following her a short distance before he finally worked up the confidence to speak:

    "Um... Excuse me..."

    She just kept walking.

    Chase gulped and tried again.

    "M... Ma'am?"

    Again, nothing.

Did she not speak English? Chase's stomach turned at this thought. Even after 4 years, he couldn't speak more than a few sentences of Japanese. If she didn't understand him...

    "Misu?"

She stopped that time, turning around slowly to face Chase.

"Oh, were you talking to me?" she asked, looking at Chase much like she looked at the man she was giving her application to.

    Chase turned beet-red.

"Um... Y-yes..." he stuttered, trying his hardest to not look down at the floor like he usually did. "I, uh... Well, I just... I just noticed you seemed kind of young to be applying for college..."

"Young...?" the girl replied, apparently amused by his statement. "You come from the United States, don't you?"

Chase was a bit taken aback by her bluntness (or was it her correctness?), but he nodded slightly.

"Y-yes... My name's Chase Metolly. I just recently moved to Japan..."

    The girl smiled.

"It shows." she said in a half-joking, half-serious way. "In this country, I'm the proper age to enroll for college. Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got much to do. Arigatou."

With that, she turned and walked away.

"But... Wait! I didn't even get your n-"

"Karry Kento." her fleeting voice replied, before she walked out the door and vanished.
    [-------END FLASHBACK-------]
Chase shook his head as he ran, clouds of dust kicking up behind him.

'OK, OK, keep it together Chase.' he thought. 'You'll be home in a few minutes; you'll be able to sort out your thoughts and think of a-'

    "AAAGH!!!"

Chase cried out as his foot caught what felt like a patch of ice and flew out behind him, sending him slamming down on his stomach and skidding a few feet across the grass.

"...Ouch..." he mumbled, lifting his head and shaking it to clear the cobwebs out.

Chase slowly pushed himself up into a sitting position and rubbed his slightly-scraped belly.

"Well, that was unpleasant..." he muttered, eyes scanning the grass until they fell on what he had slipped on.

It was a floppy disk, clearly outdated and a bit dirty, but otherwise, in perfect shape. It was a shimmering sky-blue color, almost glowing in fact.

    "What... the...?"

Chase reached out and picked up the object.

'What's something like this doing out here...?' he thought. 'I wonder if it's worth anything...?'

Curiosity peaked, Chase decided to take the disk home and do some research on it.

But when he tried to get up, he realized that his legs had gone numb.

'What the...?!' Chase's heart began to race. His arms had followed, save for the hand gripping the disk. Then his whole body; he fell over onto the grass, his breathing and eye movement the only signs he was even alive.

'Oh God, oh God, oh God...' Chase thought. his eyes forcing themselves shut despite his best efforts to resist. As his eyes finally pulled themselves all the way shut, a single thought crossed his mind:

    'I'm going to die...'

But then, another thought crossed his mind. It wasn't his thought. It wasn't Grim's. It was the voice of another, calling out to him:

"Child of Ice, heed our call..."

Default Re: Digimon: Virtues and Sins[Starts!][No LSU's!]

    Name: Laura “Bitch” Karrde
    Age: 13 almost 14
    Gender: Female
Appearance: She’s around five feet two, with long hair that sways just below her shoulders. Her hair was once golden but has been dyed to a thick dark black. The dye job though was overdone causing the hair to be thick in texture. Her skin and face still look soft and kind, her blue eyes have lost their childish charm and are full of annoyance and teenage anger. She wears a fishnet shirt as a top with a cut off black t-shirt over it to cover her breasts, with the words “Bitch” written on the t-shirt. She wears faded and torn up shorts that only go half way to her knee. She has a thin frame, with a hint of growth in her hips and butt, hinting of the womanly figure she will eventually grow into. She also has small barely A-Cup breasts that have just started growing, although she does not wear a bra for them.
Personality: Laura only likes to deal with people that she can stand, which is a very small group of people. She speaks her mind, which usually means a cuss word or a insult toward the person. She enjoys to hit or punch some one to release some pent up anger and will usually do it.
    Element: Wind
D-Scanner: Light Blue with a White base.
    Weapon/Ability: A long bo staff.
History: Laura lost her father, one of the original digi destined at a very young age. She eventually ran away from her mother and lived on the streets for several years before eventually traveling with Satoshi and others to the digital world. Although she was at a tender age of ten, she fell in love with Satoshi and shared a gentle relationship with him. When they returned home Laura ran into her aunt while trying to find Satoshi. She soon moved in to her aunt’s residence who was shocked at the stories that her niece told her.

Her Aunt took her to see a psych who with treatment and daily medicine slowly began to erase Laura’s memories of Satoshi. This caused her to develop shaking in her hands, but also caused her to become withdrawn from her aunt. She turned to her peers for guidance and fell into a gang because of a boy that looked like Satoshi. She soon fell in love with the boy although didn’t know why, and took on the hard attitude of those in the gang she was with.
Relationships: Can’t really stand anyone XP But people can know her.
Other: Her original personality is locked inside of her, buried deep because of medication, treatment, and her Angel. When the Angel is released so will her original personality who still thinks she is ten and that it is four years ago. The two sides will subconsciously battle for control and who is in control will be shown by her hair color, as well if her hands are shaking.

    Spirit:
    Name: Kaze Tigramon
    Type: Vaccine/Tiger Type
    Element: Wind
Appearance: She stands over six feet two inches tall, a complete humanoid tiger in appearance. Her fur is an icy blue, with her stripes being white. She doesn’t wear any clothes, instead her fur covers her body completely. Her body is muscular yet feminine in nature, with large hips and prominent breasts on her chest. On her back remain two long feathery wings, with the same ice blue color of her fur, but with white stripes going through the feathers.
    Attacks:
Wind Illusion – Her body splits off into millions of little tiny pieces, blowing away into the wind and seemingly disappearing. These pieces can reappear wherever she chooses too, and can usually work on sneaking up on a person.

Tornadic Roar – Taking in a long gasp of wind, she releases a cyclone from her muzzle, using it to either pick up and throw objects or pin some one against a wall.

Tiger Paw – Using her paw like fist she slashes forward, the wind carrying the razor sharp attack in one direction.
    Other:

    Angels:
    Name: Ventmon
    Type: Data
    Element: Wind
Personality: Ventmon is extremely playful, usually jumping onto Shun’s back and being carried around like a backpack by him. She is typically agreeable in fun to be with but can usually be extremely headstrong when she tries to prove her worth to her older brothers.
Appearance: Standing around four foot five, Ventmon is a lot smaller than Laura, mainly because she was supposed to come out when Laura was ten and traveled back from the Digital World. Her hair is golden like Laura’s but also has a sparkling sheen that seems to fly off of it when it sways. Her face is exactly like Laura’s when she was ten; it’s child like and full of youth and happiness. Her eyes are an ocean type blue and give people a feeling of happiness when they look into them. She wears a long white flower girl like dress, with sleeves that drape far from her arm. And she has long white feathery wings on her back.
    Attacks:
Winged Prayer – Restores the health and heals an enemy or ally, if used on an enemy it temporarily paralyzes them so that the group can get away.
Other: She has the strength of about ten men and is able to crush bricks in her hands and bring down a house with several punches.

    Laura Karrde
    ~*~*~*~*~ Five Finger Discount ~*~*~*~*~

Tonight was the night that was two years in the making, ever since I had met Kei, ever since I was adopted into the family of sorts that was our gang, I had been working to become a member of it. To finally have a sense of belonging and be a part of something that was beyond just myself.

Tonight I would get the tattoo and finally become a part of the gang; I had already spent most of the night before planning out where I would put it. In the end I decided to put it on my right breast, just above the nipple. That would make Kei happy, especially with what I had planned afterwards. I blushed ever so slightly, placing my hand on a box of condoms and looking around for security cameras. I had already swiped a few packs of smokes that Kei had asked me for, now I just needed to find a way to get out with them.

The only problem was the neighborhood supermarket had security cameras everywhere. “Damn.” I mutter under my breath, there had to be at least ten security cameras between the condoms and the door, meaning I couldn’t just walk out. So I had to move to plan two, which meant going to the bathroom.

“Freaking security cameras.” I continued to mutter, making my way to the lady’s restroom and into the nearest stall. Finding way’s to steal things was getting harder and harder, I was just lucky that the bathroom was empty. “Trying to ruin my big day.” I continued to mumble, pulling down my pants in the stall and opening the condom box. Placing a bunch of the small packages inside down the front of my panties, and stuffing the three packs of cigarettes against my butt.

The feeling was painful and incredibly uncomfortable, but it would have to do until I got back to Kei. “Not too bad.” I mused to myself in front of the mirror, hiking up my pants and smoothing it around so that it didn’t look too obvious that I was stealing several products.

Minutes later I had opened the door and was walking toward the door satisfied that I had once again beaten the system, beaten the store. “Miss!” A voice froze my blood in my veins as a man came running up in a security guard outfit. “Miss stop right there.” He yelled out again as I swore under my breath, I was too far from the door to make a run for it.

“Miss can you come…” I turned and locked eyes with him, the man looked back at me in shock, his eyes looking at me in disbelief. “Laura..” His voice trembled as I saw my opening to get away.

“That’s my name.” I turned, walking toward the door.

“Laura, it’s me, Kenichi.” He rushed in front of me, blocking my path and placing his hands on my shoulders. “You have to come with me, Satoshi has been looking for you, you have no idea what he ha..” I broke him off as I slapped his hands away, pushing past him.

“Don’t fucking touch me.” I growled, walking around him and matching eyes with him as I walked backwards toward the door. “I don’t know a Kenichi, or a Satoshi, so stay away you freak.” My voice raised enough to draw heads as I walked to the door and out to Kei waiting in the car.

“What was that about?” Kei asked once I was inside of the car, immediately turning on the old vehicle that made an odd clunking noise as it moved. “Did you have any trouble in there?”

I shrugged and pulled out the three packs of smokes, taking two and handing one off to Kei. “Some sick freak that thought I was their girlfriend or something.” I mumbled, lighting the cigarette and taking a long drag off of it. Kei did the same as he turned onto the main road, the condom packages beginning to irritate me as I sat quietly in the seat. “So are we getting it?”

Kei gave me a odd look and then turned back to the road as I sank further into the seat, feeling a bit embarrassed by my child like enthusiasm. I may be thirteen but that wasn’t a excuse to act like one. “You know once your in, the only way to leave is to..” He was about to finish off that warning with the word “die” but I cut him off.

“You’ve warned me, I’m ready.” I looked at him, completely determined as I grasped my pill bag and popped one into my mouth before stuffing it back into my pocket.

Kei gave me a small smile, rubbing my head playfully as we pulled into the parking lot of the tattoo parlor. “I’ll go inside and set it up.” He immediately got out of the car, walking inside and giving me a chance to take the condoms out and place them in my pocket.

“Here I go.” I breathed, taking a look at myself in the rear view mirror, before reaching for the door. As I did my foot moved against something plastic. “The hell?” I mumbled, reaching down and pulling out something plastic and small. The car immediately began to spin, like it was on a roller coaster or something. My stomach lurched while my eyes grew heavy. Darkness at the edge of my eyes threatened my vision before rushing forward and enveloping me.

“Child of wind, heed our call”

I was floating adrift, in what felt like an endless white ocean. “Hello.” A child like voice boomed, the voice seemed oddly familiar, almost like a mockery of mine. “You’re Laura.” The voice seemed more localized now. Coming from a girl that floated toward me.

“And who the fuck are you?” I swam toward her, the girl looked up at me with a grin, her face, her hair, and her eyes. It all looked like me from back when I was younger, back before I decided to dye my hair. Back when I was still weak.

“I’m Ventmon.” The child flapped it’s wings happily, it’s smile turning into a frown. “Why do you hurt yourself? Why do you poison yourself?” It asked.

“None of your business.” I replied, my patience quickly dropping.

“Please, please do not poison yourself anymore.” The child grabbed my shirt, looking up at me with pleading eyes. My patience had run out, I grabbed the child’s head and pushed her down under the water. Immediately she began to thrash about as I continued to drown her.

In the flash of a eye, I was no longer in the ocean and instead overwhelmed by the smell of the seashore, the feeling of wind blowing against my body. “What the hell is happening.” I groaned, rubbing my head as I glanced around. Nine other people were here with me, all of them looking around confused as well.

If I wasn’t freaked enough, what happened next shocked me even more. A upright cat stood up and spoke. “Welcome to the Digital World, our saviors.”

Edit: Hey Blade don't worry about being clueless, I had no idea about Digimon when I joined the first of this series of RPGs back in 2002. These RPGs are usually more about the character's and friendships than about Digimon.

Default Re: Digimon: Virtues and Sins[Starts!][No LSU's!]

    Name: Hoshiko Takiri
    Age: 18
    Gender: Female
Appearance: A native standing at 5'10", Hoshiko is an individual that doesn't like blending in too much. Although she has a slim figure with runner's legs, she covers it with baggy clothes to keep from feeling exposed. Her jeans are often the cause of her frequent tripping. Her black hair is clipped into short, backward-sweeping spikes with red tips. She's sometimes seen wearing black reading glasses over her brown eyes. A pair of small metal hoops hang from her ears.
Personality: Hoshiko's a klutz that's always either neck-deep in some project while listening to music or rushing to somewhere at the last second. That's where her running abilities come in handy. If she hasn't rolled up her jeans then, a meeting with the ground or someone else is guaranteed. But she usually takes time to apologize, even if she knows she's going to be late. She's always remembering something she has forgotten earlier, sometimes too late to do anything about it. Even her social interactions need work. She has trouble making small talk, and can't keep some comments about others to herself. She's also notorious for spacing out and then missing what people have said or done. But she's kind and tries her best to help others. Her unpredictablility will keep the others on their toes.
    Element: Fire
D-Scanner: Red buttons with a bright orange base.
Weapon/Ability: She can form small bombs in her hand that she can throw at the enemy. If she's tired, they'll become duds.
History: She was more or less the result of a one-night stand. After the father refused to take responsibility of Hoshiko, her mom made it her duty to teach herself and Hoshiko how to be as independent and hard-working as possible. The older Takiri works as a secretary while Hoshiko works hard towards scholarships, her room hiding all sorts of little stories and drawings.
Relationships: She remembers faces that she bumps (or crashes) into, so she recognizes Shun and Laura. Is Kei's cousin.
Other: Owns a concept sketch of one of her manga characters that resembles Shun that she keeps in her pocket. Not incidental, but she figures that Shun has an unforgettable face. Carries around an MP3 player that she listens to when she wants to relax or think.

    Spirit:
    Name: Sprintmon
    Type: Vaccine
    Element: Fire
Appearance: A Chocobo-like Digimon that stands at seven feet, with red feathers on most of the body and gold crest, wing, and tail feathers. A metal helmet covers her head and a saddle lies on her back when someone needs to ride.
Attacks: Slashing Fury - Sprintmon will flap her wings to momentarily keep her in midair while she slashes the enemy with her talons.
Fireball - A fireball, plain and simple. Can fire several in rapid succession. With concentration and more preparation time, she can spit bigger fireballs that can home into the opponent.

"Lord, what fools these mortals be," I mused while watching a couple of strangers argue a few feet away from me.

I had been afflicted by a severe case of writer's block for the past week, so I was walking everywhere just to find inspiration. Mom thought it was fine as long as I kept my cell phone with me and got back before dinner.

The two men finally stomped away from each other, leaving me to find something else to watch. The park that I was currently visiting was my favorite, spacious and full of interesting people. I could just imagine spirits gathering here to sell otherwordly goods when no one else was around.

"That's it!" I cried out, startling a nearby woman. We stared at each other before the woman got too uncomfortable and walked away. I shrugged and pulled out my pen and notebook. "Not too original...like Miyazaki's work...but it's a start!"

I'm not sure how much time had passed before my stomach started to growl. I looked down at my two pages of rough draft and decided that it was time for lunch. Ramen, or sandwiches, something...hot...

"AAAH! I forgot that Mom wanted me to stop by the store!" I fumbled with my cell phone before checking the time. I would have to stop by the nearby convenience store.

As soon as I gathered my things, I sprang up and was about to leave when I saw a red floppy disk lying beside the bench. I didn't think it was mine, but I would use anything when necessary. I bent down and picked it up, only to nearly drop it when a burning sensation washed over me. Shaking it off didn't work, and soon everything was black.

"Child of fire, heed our call."

My nap was peaceful, but I wish I didn't feel so sick when I finally woke up. It was like someone strapped me to a roller coaster while I was out and put me through a few dozen rounds. The sickness went away quickly while I stayed still, but that feeling was replaced with one of confusion. Where was I now, and how long had I been here?

"Mmm..." I groaned as I sat up, relieved that my glasses were still on my face. I loved the smell of the ocean. I checked my pockets for my stuff. "MP3 in left...cell phone in right...wait, that's not my cell phone." I pulled out a different device, orange with red buttons. "Definitely not a cell phone."

"You don't need it anyway," said a voice behind me.

"Hm?" I turned around and locked eyes with a strange cat. At least, I thought it was a cat. "Are you a spirit?"

The cat gave me a strange look. "No, I'm not." She backed up when I reached out for her. "Welcome to the Digital World. Take five for now."

I could only nod and lean back on my hands. One of them rested on a piece of paper. I unfolded it and saw that it was my drawing. "Good thing I found you. What's this?" I looked up and saw a boy sitting away from everyone else. The resemblance between him and the drawn character was uncanny.

"Oh boy." I put it in my back pocket before anyone could see it.

    Name: Kei Takiri
    Age: 18
    Gender: Male
Appearance: Kei's is slightly similar to Satoshi, with the same eyes, hair and height. That's where the similarities stop. Kei's eyes are as cold as Satoshi's are bright. He wears a school uniform, only looser and unkempt. He sports the kanji for "shadow" on his right arm.
Personality: Kei definitely isn't a guy to hang around with. In fact, his mental instability can scare just about anyone. He shows affection to only a handful of people, and even that is misleading. He'll do anything to alleviate his boredom, as his "friends" and acquaintances know. Fortunately for Hoshiko, he tends to avoid his family. Sadistic, cruel, and unforgiving, he's the perfect target for Lucemon.
    Element: I guess Darkness.
D-Scanner: Black base with gray buttons
Weapon/Ability: Kunai knives that he can materialize out of nowhere. He has excellent aim, and can paralyze an enemy if the knives pierce their shadow, pinning it.
History: Kei had good parents and a good life. In fact, it was Hoshiko's mom that was considered the "black sheep" in her family. But Kei craved an end to the boredom of his normal life. That's how the Dragon Fangs started. He later roped in Laura just to have some eye candy. Hoshiko has bumped into him a few times, and has regretted it each time.
Relationships: "Loves" Laura, and is Hoshiko's cousin.
Other: Smokes, drinks, and hasn't been a virgin since he was fifteen.

    Spirit
    Name: Ryuumon
    Type: Virus
    Element: Darkness
Appearance: Ryuumon stands at 6'7", with a slightly muscular appearance. His black hair is straight and in a braid going down his back. His eyes are a bloody red, with reptilian pupils. His ears and canines are pointed. Two large, bat-like wings are fixed to his back. Ryuumon's clothes consist of a black kimono with gold curving designs on it. The outfit is somewhat similar to Inuyasha's. He goes barefoot, and carries a scythe with a blood-red handle.
Attacks: Shadow Pin - the same ability as Kei's, but the paralysis is harder to break, and the knives harder to remove.
Devil's Claws - similar to Hanasamon's Imperial Blades, but the dark colored blasts can be controlled, either being one long blast or a lot of smaller blasts.
Dark Storm - Ryuumon draws a circle in the ground by gesturing with his finger. Anyone inside the circle when it's finished is trapped in a dark dome and blasted with lightning bolts shot from the scythe. Ryuumon can make the circle larger, but it takes more time to finish.
    Other: XP

"You should get rid of that little bitch."

I shrugged carelessly. "Nah, not yet. She's actually fun sometimes. You should hear her scream." I laughed with Daisuke as he sat in a nearby chair, noticing that he had a bit of fear in his eyes.

Laura was slowly approaching her expiration date. Maybe today she would prove her worth. She was just doing all this to fit in, but it was still amusing to see her try. "Just make sure she gets a nice one on her thigh. That way I'll be able to see it when she wears that nice little skirt," I told Daisuke.

I went back out to get Laura. She wasn't in the car. What was she doing, disappearing when my back was turned? The little brat must've run away! When I caught her, her own mother won't be able to recognize her corpse!

"Looks like she left something," I muttered to myself as I leaned in and found a black floppy sitting in the passenger seat. "Better be a suicide note." I picked it up and instantly felt the world disappear from around me.

"My child, come and serve me."

Default Re: Digimon: Virtues and Sins[Starts!][No LSU's!]

    Name: Lianne Parlatti
    Age: 15
    Gender: Female
    Appearance:
Lianne, given her foreign heritage, is considered by some to be an interesting "specimen." At 5'4", Lianne has a thinner-than-average build and lithe frame, although her chest protrudes a little more than one would expect for her size - something inherited from her mother. Her eyes are a brown color occasionally showing subtle hints of blue or green, with her hair, which can be described as being dark brown and/or dull black in color, falling down to the base of her neck, thick and framing her face and coordinating with her faint, natural tan.
Lianne tends to dress in thin long-sleeved shirts underneath tees either for a band, video game/anime series, or even solid-color and wide-legged, slightly baggy jeans regardless of the season. (she's wearing this one in particular) She also has a small beaded chain for a necklace which dangles a small wooden cross, and a loose-fit black collar around her neck with a series of interlocking chains hanging down at an inch at maximum.
    Personality:
Lianne is primarily known for being an extremely caring person, usually being among the first to aid somebody who is willing to accept her assistance. However, as a result, she has developed a little bit of an emotional side; she has also been known to cry a bit as if she were depressed, even if her surroundings give her no reason to - it's primarily heredity. She's usually shy and rather quiet, often afraid to offend anybody and everybody, although there is a bit of an "opposite" side - she can be firey, passionate, and a little reckless, usually for a good cause. Even if she lacks pride in her own self, she has strong beliefs that she'll defend if needed be.
Element: Nature // Fire (Fuemon reincarnate)
D-Scanner: Mahogany with a pale green base
    Weapon/Ability:
Lianne wields a handheld boomerang carved from a tan wood, possibly mahogany. Carved into this boomerang appears to be little wisps painted over in a dull white, and each end has a small dull white gem, resembling a pearl, embedded.
When Lianne channels an element's energy into the boomerang, the gems begin to glow - green for Nature, and red for Fire. The abilities of the boomerang also change in the way it maneuvers and its effects. (also, Lianne is only capable of using Nature at first)
    History:
Lianne was born in Japan to a younger (early-mid twenties) couple that came from America not too long before her birth; her father working as an English professor, and her mother working as a counselor for both native and non-native children. Her parents always strived to keep her happy, and even then, it would've been a shock that Lianne didn't turn out to act much like the stereotypical American girl depicted by the media - over-spoiled and completely self-conscious. However, even if she got what she wanted, it was never too certain why Lianne was unhappy.
It could've been that she was confused as to why she still didn't "fit in;" was it because she was bilingual? Or could it have been that many Japanese girls tended to act like the American girls she had nightmares of as a child? Even the fact that her mother, who was raised in a rough, sketchy background, was still a little unsure of where life was going? She normally wasn't one to judge or be completely shy until many in school began to criticize...
Relationships: None as of right now.
Other: NOBODY expects the Spanish Inquisition.

    Spirit:
    Name
    : Rozaiamon
    Type: Virus // Flora type
    Element: Nature
    Appearance:
It is uncertain what the true species of Rozaiamon should be considered, given she has qualities of both humans and nature. At a rather tall height of 5'8", Rozaiamon is rather lanky, thin and barely curved, and rather frail and fragile in appearance. Her skin is also an almost sickly color - a pale stone grey almost tinged with a faint hint of greens and blues. Her eyes, in color, are a deep leafy green, with her hair long and thick, tree bark brown in color with the occasional leaf found in its length. Also over her body appears to be tatoos in the same color as her hair; however, these tatoos are actually animated and vine-like.
Rozaiamon isn't exactly nude, however. She's adorned in a dress formed by two parts - the bust as a black lace-up corset, with the skirt portion being made from a silk-like material, deep magenta in color and designed to bear resemblance to a Lotus flower.
    Attacks:
    1) Flamenco's Serenade - Rozaiamon extends her arms outward, causing the vines on her arms to extend forward in a tentacle-like manner.
    2) Aria - Rozaiamon removes two leaves from her hair, incidentally causing them to morph into small sharp objects much like shurikens and tosses them forward.
    3) Springtime - Rozaiamon's hands begin to glow with a green light energy and holds them over a person of her choice, either giving health/life back for allies, or intoxicating foes.
Other: Rozaiamon's toxins in Springtime have been known to sometimes cause a burning sensation for either friend or foe, and always unintentional; this realization causes her to see Lianne's "true form," in spite of the significant personality differences.

    Angel:
    Name
    : Fuemon
    Type: Data
    Element: Fire
    Personality:
Fuemon is caring in the same sense as Lianne. However, the main difference is that while Lianne was a shy, quiet girl that chose to be very open-minded and not to act fully on her beliefs, Fuemon chooses to have an almost "too healthy" amount of confidence in his own self in way seen mainly in young children. He also tends to act in an unusually feminine and flamboyant manner - rather drastic from the modesty of Lianne. He is also ccasionally known for acting childish and go as far as flirting with other "male" Digimon. Normally rather strong-willed, he will straighten out to act as a leader.
Appearance: (I might draw Fuemon as a joke and for reference)

Fuemon, as probably hinted before, is actually a bit of a gender bender. Although he is, in fact, male, he chooses to dress as a female as if that's the way he was raised. To develop the obvious, his body structure is nearly identical to that of Bridget from the Guilty Gear video game series - tall at about 6'0" and rather thin and lanky. (if you're still convinced that Bridget is female, you fail)
However, his long hair is rather dark, in contrast with his counterparts, Lumieremon and Ventmon - an inky black color much like volcanic rock. His skin color is also more tan - on a level nearly equivalent to natives of Southeast Asia - and his eyes, wide and bright, can be compared to pools of molten lava in color and appearance.
For clothing, Fuemon dresses in a manner that comes close to being considered "too revealing": this consists of a pure red "mini-dress" - skirt part ending slightly above mid-thigh, open-back and resembling a halter in style, black tights that come down to his knees, and black laced-up ballet slippers. Around his neck is the same bead chain and wooden cross on Lianne, and on his back are tribal tattoos that stem a couple of inches from the base of his lithe, elegant wings that, although made purely of warm feathers, appears almost exactly like fire.
His weapons of choice, much like Bridget, appear to be two yo-yo's which named Sahara and Gobi. However, these "toys" are actually two obsidian rocks shaped into balls, and ignite on fire seemingly at will, as if Fuemon is telekinetic in the same manner as Ness from Earthbound/Mother 2.
    Attacks:
    1) Dante's Passion - Sahara and Gobi ignite and are then slung around in the same manner as any ordinary yo-yo.
    2) Hot Liplock - Fuemon inhales quietly before holding up one hand to blow a "kiss" in the form of a stream of flames.
(the other three attacks cannot be determined in time being)
    Other:

But I'm still here; impatiently waiting for you to, disappear. Is this my cross to bear?

Summer in Japan was normally supposed to be considered a pleasant time, especially for students. Although, in most cases, only being a vacation lasting no more than just a few weeks, it was the one time where children and teenagers could enjoy the joys of the sun and be prepared for more of the school year.

Bah, I don't get it, either.

Yet this summer, Lianne Parlatti was just another gaijin living the life of uncertainty and harsh judgement. And even then, she was born and raised in Japan. Never sure if it had connections to the fact that she was the bilingual daughter of an American-born couple that was rather fluent in speaking the language, or just something not as obvious, Lianne spent much of her recent years in question. A young girl close to the top of her class, in question.

That was often mentioned among some classmates, resulting in she becoming the blunt of the occasional joke. And then it reminded her, in some aspects, of her mother.

She's always done the best she could for me, even if she never gave herself enough love; I highly respect her for that. Similar situation in the society known as education, totally opposite amount of love at home. Quite the case you'd see in a young adult novel, right?

The girl then focused back in on the activities taking place right in front of her. The artsy girl made a work of art not so artistic a small voice jeered in the back of her mind as the sketch began to fade into some cheap doodle seen on little grade school notes passed during a lecture. Eyes widened, the girl sighed with despair as she began to erase almost furiously. The eraser then broke in half.

"Fucking A!" Her quiet voice screamed in clear English; she wasn't in a good mood, and didn't want to think of why. Fortunately, nobody was around to hear this rare obscenity, so it wasn't as bad. Unable to handle this stress, Lianne then began to slowly rise from her seat and began walking towards her bedroom, yet was stopped along the way when a small glint of silver caught her eye from the computer desk. Walking over, she picked up the small plastic object, an opaque green and red marbled diskette with the traditional silver part.

Floppies were nothing new to Lianne - both of her parents still kept around and occasionally used these and other outdated pieces of technology from around the time they first met. Yet, this floppy was one she had never seen around the house - was perhaps a recent purchase or find amongst the old belongings still packaged years after the move to Japan? She then turned it onto the other side to check for a label - blank.

Sighing once again, Lianne was about to move back and continue towards her bedroom, yet somehow found herself unable to move. Paralyzed, frozen to the spot. Then the ancient voice, a mere essence of history, began to speak to her, commanding her...

Child of nature's bounties, the flowing voice tranquilized her spirits, heed our call...

Lianne's face fell to a more calm look then, an odd serene bliss as her body slowly swayed in a gust of wind formed by her intoxicated mind. She could've sworn that there were leaves swaying around her, dancing like a spiralling ribbon, as she fell over...falling slowly...

    <intermission>
    Am I on fire?

The thick aroma of smoke filled Lianne's nostrils as she continued to fall, finally landing on her feet in an unusually graceful manner. Her eyes finally opened, and she was appalled by what they saw. She was trapped, closed in a perfect circle of fire. Daytime had become night - black and an unusually reddish orange - because of this same inferno. The wind blew cold, causing the thin child to embrace herself due to chills, as black ashes fell down to the earth in place of the expected rain.

And then she saw them - two small orbs of fire - swinging around in the same circle. Squinting, she tried to make out the source of this oddity as he then approached her.

"Glad to see you again." An oddly feminine voice said. Was this dark-haired, bright-eyed boy actually a girl?

"Again?" Lianne asked, eyes wide with shock and confusion. "But, I've never..."

"Of course you haven't, sweetie." The androgynous figure said again, a mischievous smirk visible on their face. "Because I'm inside you...I'm you..."

"I-I don't believe it!" She screamed nervously, turning to speak as the humanoid slung the fireballs towards her, wrapping her and pulling her close to their owner as a sudden warmth and bright light overcame her senses.
    </intermission>

"D-don't! Please!" Lianne groaned in fear, her body, flat on the grassy earth beneath her. Her eyes opened wide with the obvious return of consciousness, senses gathering almost instantly that what had occured was just an odd dream - sandy flats, tall grasses, blue skies, and the tangy aroma of salt water. A beach?

Sighing with relief and taking in the calm setting, she turned to come face-to-face with nine other individuals - all as equally confused as she. They eyed her with confused expressions, causing Lianne to blush and rub the back of her head anxiously.

"Umm, sorry about that..." She said as her hands rubbed along the sand in order to find a solid place to help her stand up. Yet her hands managed to find two different things.

One was a little obvious - an ornate boomerang. The other, however, was more of an enigma in comparison. Resembling a cell phone with two buttons, it had a tan base, accented with light green and white.

"I'll show you later." A jazzy feminine voice called out from behind. Lianne's nerves shot a little bit with shock as she turned to see a bipedal cat - white with purple tufts and bright gloves over its forepaws. Lianne smiled warmly, albeit weakly, as she slowly slid the device into a pocket. She then brought me back towards the other nine and then proceeded to speak to all of us.

"Welcome to the Digital World, our saviors."

"Now, let's see. A spare notepad, a couple of new pens, some snacks to keep my energy up. What else do I need?"

I looked over the list in my hand. It would only be a couple of days before I went off to what most students referred to as "cram school." Not that it bothered me. I enjoyed learning new things. Besides, there really wasn't much for me to do over the vacation anyway. My host sister would be out with her friends the majority of the time, and I didn't fit in with them anyway.

    I looked over it again.

"Ah yes, that book on the different Ninja clans. Now, where can I find that?"

Stepping out of the news agency, I looked around for a nearby bookstore, hoping to find something.

He felt something underneath my foot, something flat and plastic. I looked down, seeing a compact disk under my foot. It was a deep purple.

Who would leave something like this in the middle of the floor? Someone must have dropped it.

I bent down to pick it up, half considering turning it in. As I reached for it, I felt a shiver go through my body. Not a cold shiver, but something else. As soon as I picked it up, a strange sensation overcame me. My sight started to blur, I began to feel dizzy. I stumbled abit before collapsing to the floor. I wasn't sure if anyone noticed or came to my aid as I drifted out of conciousness shortly after hitting the floor.

    Child of darkness....
    ...Heed our call...

My eyes painfully opened, a wave of nausia waved over me. My body reacted, bracing myself incase I threw up. Thankfully, my stomach settled.

As the nausia faded, I could smell the ocean. Strange. They shopping center was nowhere near the ocean. I sat up, looking around.

    "Welcome."

I turned to the sound of the voice, and jumped when I saw a strange, white, cat like creature. Apparently she found my reaction amusing.

"Relax," she chuckled softly, "I'm not going to attack you or anything. Welcome to the Digital World."

I was confused to say the least.

    "Digital World?"

The cat turned and began to walk away.

    "You'll find out soon enough."

I looked around this strange place as I got to my feet.
I'm in your dimensions, screwing with your reality!

Default Re: Digimon: Virtues and Sins[Starts!][No LSU's!]

    Name: Karry Kento
    Age: 16
    Gender: Female
Appearance: She stands at about five feet. Is half Japanese, and half American (Her Father is Japanese, and her Mother is American) her almond eyes are two different colours, one aqua green, and the other a deep sea blue. Her hair is short blond, cut in snippets, with grown out bangs that hang limp on the side. She's always seen with cold, almost emotionless look on her face. This is just a rouse, however, as her emotions are reckless as a raging ocean. She has a thin, almost indistinguishable body from the masses. She wears yellow tinted glasses, though often misplaces them in the pocket of her silver vest, which covers a dark blue long sleeve shirt, which goes with her shapeless black pants.
Personality: Outwardly, she is calm and collected like a gentle pond. But once she gets mad, she is like a raging waterfall! It takes her a while to show anger, but it can be heard in her voice, the same with all other emotions. It'll take this little pool of water to bubble when love hits it, but once it does, they'll sure be steam. She thinks logically (even if it’s only logical to herself), and is often dripping with 'dry' sarcastic remarks.
    Element: Water
D-Scanner: Dark blue with a light blue base
Weapon/Ability: A watery whip that grows in strength and length depending how power she is at the time.
History: Karry Kento religiously attends Cram school, and is preparing to enter the working world. She wants to rise above her families’ silly home run diner and create a company. Because of her drive, she usually pushes friends away, and yet...she secretly pines to have friends of her own. Maybe one day...she'll get them. She finds she works best at night, when the moon is full. She thinks her Father and Mother baby her too much, creating tension with in the family life style. She's an old child.
Relationships: Little or none. Friends have made attempts in the past.
Other: She's always stops at a drinking fountain when she passes, or buys a bottle of water when she can.

    Spirit:
Name: Ranmon (this little thing ` over the a)
    Type: Virus
    Element: Water
Appearance: She turns into a tall...um, well endowed blue skinned woman, who isn't wearing any clothes. Her body is completely made out of water, her hair is a darker blue, and flows off her head like a waterfall. Her legs at times completely disappear, replacing them with a moving puddle. Since she's made out of water, she can take any form, though the one she really is the aforementioned.
    Attacks:
    1) Terror Typhoon- Creates a massive wave that seems to come out of her body. It washes enemies away with freezing water.
    2) Water Dagger- Shoots watery daggers that hurt very much, strange because its water. They're massive in size, and usually never miss their target.
    3) Atlantis Drought- Causes a magical hard rain to fall from the sky. She absorbs it in her body, restoring some of her energy.

Other: She can slip through cracks and other things when she dissolves into water.
    ----
    Karry Kento

Karry Kento mediated at the park near her home until it was dark. She finished her water from earlier, throwing it at the round trash bin, it circled it

    Once....

    Twice...

    Thrice...

It fell in, she smirked to herself lightly, sticking her cold hands in her pocket after heaving her book bag on her back. No cram school tonight, unfortunately, just home.

Karry Kento threw her things on the floor of her house, unscrewing a water bottle slowly. The smells of some sort of dinner filled her face area used to smell, but she wasn’t interested. No, she just wanted to be left alone.

She mounted the stairs, ignoring her mother’s voice as she called her name. If she really wanted her, Kento reasoned, she’d came and get her herself. Taking an extra large sip of water, she forced her door open with undesirable easy.

Where as the pile of stuff that she placed in front of there this morning!? Her whole room, once covered in unorganised filth, was meticulously clean and straight, much to her chagrin. Kento crossed her pale blue carpet in disbelieve, the woman even had the nerve to clean the top of her work desk. Her private sanctuary had been broken into! How dare she?! How dare she, with her fly like mind- The nerve!!!

    The rage had built under her like that of a raging river builds against a dam, and soon that rage broke through, changing the smooth surface of her calm face into one of anger. She tore across her room, threw open the door, and yelled down to her mother;

“I told you to never go in my room!”

“But Karry,” Kento cringed at the use of her name by someone she detested, “you can live in a mess like that,” She called back up, calmly and sweetly, “Come down for dinner, dear-”

“I’d rather starve!” She yelled, slamming the door shut. With a deep breath (and a sip of water), her face returned to its unmoveable self. A smooth pond.

Kento sat down on the thin wooden chair as her desk, staring into her loading computer. Her mind wandered as the hour glass moved up and down, back and forth.

Her jaw moved back and forth, like a tide, as she thought about the days events. She stopped to think about that boy...the one. She shouldn’t have told him her name, oh no, she shouldn’t have, who know what he’ll do with it. Kento should have surfaced.

Finnally loaded, she took a deep breath and pulled open a draw where her Cds usually stayed, and if her mother knew what was good for her...

She did a quick count with her eyes, one....five...twenty....fifty seven....sixty one...wait- sixty two? That was one more than she usually had. A tiny pang of guilt hit her heart, had her mother gone out and bought one? She twirled a thin stand of blond hair between her fingers and she shuffled through the Cds with her other hand.

The black sheep... A floppy disk.

The feeling was almost Hitler like, a floppy disk amongst her beauties? But...this thing was beautiful in its own right. It was as though it had been made of water and set on fire. She stretched out her hand to grab it, but then pulled it back. Not yet, no...

Taking another sip of water, Kento jumped up and raced down stairs. Father wasn’t there, he must have been at work.

“Oh, Karry,” Her mother cooed, she was an unbearably tall and well endowed woman, and Kento would always resent her mother for being so, as Karry did not seem to have inherit this gene of sexyness, “I’m so glad you changed your mind.”

Karry sat down at the little wooden table, saying nothing, just looking up at her mother with her deep mismatched eyes. Yes, she’d eat if she must, and she did.

When the meal was over, she cleared her throat and asked the question that was burning in her, “Do we have any more pudding?”

Her mother shook her head, almost regretting it as her daughter stood up. She was going to lock herself in her room again, then Karry opened her mouth, as she was going to turn the corner.

“Mother, did you put a floppy disk inside my room?” The question sounded stupid in Kento’s mind. Who cares if she did.

    “No dear, I didn’t-”

“I’ll be in my room,“ She announced half-heartedly, causing her mother to sigh.

Karry Kento, once again at her desk, reached out for the floppy, placing her water bottle to her lips. Her fingers gripped the plastic...

Child of water, heed our call

She first sat up when she noticed the feel of grass under her, something wack out of order, since she avoided idly sitting in grass, or being idle if she could help it. The next thing she noticed is that she spilled her water down her front. Nice.

There were others, children around about her age, some older, some younger, maybe, she had never been good at telling ages. She gripped her hand, where the floppy had been, now was an odd device with a pale blue back and a dark dark blue. Strange, but not as strange as what happened next.

There was some sort of cat creature, a cat creature whose name as Gatomon, and was having a conversation with the other children. It turned to walk away.

“Well, this is nice and Alice and Wonderland like, isn’t it?” She said to no one imperticularly dryly.

    matsumoto tenshi a.k.a "Shun"

"Welcome to the Digital World, our saviors."The cat beast smiled, "I'm Gatomon, your tour guide."

What in the world was a Gatomon? Some mutated cat thing? It seemed that we were no longer on earth; or maybe that this was all the dream - all the same, it seemed to be a place very similar to earth but with creatures like the furball in front of me, I doubted things were the same.

"The things in your hands are devices called Digital Scanners, or D-Scanners for short."Gatomon paced around us."You're in a world called the Digital World, and us creatures; called Digimon - short for digital monsters, need your help."She looked at Takinowa-kun and smiled, as if she knew him."You'll know what to do when the time comes, but for now, get to know the people around you; you'll be relying on them in this world."

"Oh, and don't play with any of the toys you've gotten, they're for fighting."She smiled as she sat in front of us, observing us all.

I looked at around in unease, as starting or being in conversations really weren't my strong point at all. I saw Takinowa-kun as he seemed to be talking to some fake-black haired girl. I paused, frozen briefly as I recognized another face; a Tessarossa, Sofia Tessarossa. She had appeared in some magazines and television before; but that wasn't the reason why I had frozen.

'I've hacked their database a few times with my hacker friends..'I thought to myself in a cold sweat, sighing as she didn't look my way. Instead, I got what appeared to be a guy; but by facial structure of a nihonjin[Japanese native], she was a girl.

"This is crazy, isn't it?"She said as I looked at the sky after looking at her face again.
    "I suppose."I replied briefly.
    "I'm Takiri Hoshiko, you?"
"Matsumoto Shun."I replied, not using my real first name. After I gave my first name, the air grew stale as I said nothing else to her. Bored of the whole thing; or just uncomfortable, I stood up, taking the sheathed naginata and leaning it on my left shoulder, and putting the 'D-Scanner' in my right pant pocket.

"Screw this."I said in a huff, and rushed down the train platform stairs. 'Gatomon', who seemed so enthralled in seeing humans interact, paused and towards me, as if anything the small furball could do would be of any use.
"Wait! It's too dangerous to go out there alone, Lucemon's minions are out there--"She yelled out as I looked up at her, who was still on the platform.
"I'd rather deal with them than humans."I told her coldly and gave her my shoulder, walking away from the platform and towards what seemed to be a plaza of shops. It was at least better than where I was before, as I let out a sigh.

"Something about this place..is nostalgic.."I told myself as I walked towards the shops, hopefully alone.

    takinowa satoshi

"Welcome to the Digital World, our saviors."The cat digimon smiled, "I'm Gatomon, your tour guide."

What was wrong with the Digital World this time? Didn't we save the world from the three Lunar's - the Celestial's counterparts, last time? What was wrong this time that the Celestials would call upon humans again?

'Although'I thought to myself, looking at the black haired Laura.'if it's allowing me to see her again..'

"The things in your hands are devices called Digital Scanners, or D-Scanners for short."Gatomon paced around us."You're in a world called the Digital World, and us creatures; called Digimon - short for digital monsters, need your help."She looked at me and smiled as she gave us the basics; as if she knew me."You'll know what to do when the time comes, but for now, get to know the people around you; you'll be relying on them in this world."

Almost instantly, I looked at the black haired Laura, who seemed to be in a fuss about being here. I went over to her, a bit uncomfortable as she seemed so..different. Even her dressing was a completely different style than the last time I saw her.

"Kei? Why are you wearing glasses and why did you change out of your uniform?"She asked me, addressing me by a completely different name.
"My name isn't Kei, Laura. It's me, Satoshi?"I told her, and she looked like a lost puppy.

''This..isn't the Laura I know.'I looked at her in concern.

"So I see they've made their move."Aimon said the obvious as I sat down on my "throne". It wasn't the throne I wanted, the throne that ruled this world, but only a chair as to which I could see the world out of with a small orb I "took" from a digimon in Las Mesa."Should we send a wave of minions to kill them?"

"We're focusing more on getting the spirits away from them than killing them. Besides, if we killed one of 'them', there would be no fun in this."I smiled as I looked behind me, standing up as a brown haired human appeared on the floor. "I decided to have a little more fun, thats all."

"A human!?"Aimon scolded me as I sighed, placing my right hand over his D-Scanner. Transferring parts of my data and darkness, I created an artificial spirit for my own "chosen" child; my own warrior of sorts. I looked down at him as he looked up at me; his eyes and heart filled to the brim of what a warrior of mine should have. Darkness, loathing. Hatred, cruelty. All wonderfully delightful traits.

"My warrior, Takiri Kei, this world will be ours for the taking if you decide to help me."I told him as he gained full conscious. His soul was already in my grasp, and I knew it'd be easy to manipulate this human. "I shall give you everything you want in return for help. You'll get to kill as many beings on this world as you please as long as you serve me and my fallen angels."

"Of course."His eyes looked into mine; his as cold as the frozen poles. I gave him my hand as I allowed him to stand, then took him over to the orb to show him Bauda Bay.
"Your so called girl is here. I'm guessing you want to see her? Try to interfere with the humans here while my minions try to get the two spirits here."I told him."This is only practice for your abilities, trust me."

I hope that is alright, classy.

Talk to each other, and you can move about Bauda Bay; but 2 conflicts will be coming up(Spirit fight(for me and Mystic) and vs.Kei(everyone else, pretty much) ) in a little. The calm before the storm is before us!

I frowned at the outburst from that 'Shun' character before thinking on it further. He must've had his reasons for such an over-blown and socially awkward reaction, likely something he considered 'personal', people were so wierd. Perhaps he had a phobia, that might explain it... Either way, further observation might yield more results. I turned to the... Gatomon thing.

"I will go after him, after all, logically, it'd be best to have someone keeping an eye on him." I stated, heading to walk after him.

I was stopped, physically, by the creature getting in my way. "No. Stay here, it's bad enough one of you ran off, it'd be even worse if you ran off as well."

My frown deepened as I got a tad irritated. I had honestly hoped to get by without trouble, but it was only to be expected, really. What I needed wan an excuse, a reason to get by her, perhaps a little shock wouldn't hurt either. Allowing the irritation from being blocked show, I replied, "So, you would protect me from the very enemies I'm supposed to save you from? If that's the case, what's the point? Why bother? A battle can be won on a completely defensive stance, but a war cannot, it's a simple rule of strategy. Besides that, a person alone has fewer chances of success in such a situation than two or more. If I DON'T go, chances are he'll end up getting hurt, and then where would we be? Down a man, weakened, at a disadvantage. Now cease this idiocy and let me pass."

After growling out the last bit due to irritation that the thing was daring to get in my way, I pushed past it, fully scowling. It was foolishness, idiocy. I could take care of myself, after all, I'd done it before, and, therefor, I could do so again. The others might need watching, but they weren't her.

Calming down a bit, I smiled, now was my chance to snoop on the guy a bit, maybe find out more about that interesting reaction of his. And, maybe later, I could find out if this place had a library, yes, that would be good...

    Laura Karrde
    ~*~*~*~*~ Who? ~*~*~*~*~

I slumped lump sided in the chair, my left arm hanging off as I stared at the boy that seemed to follow me wherever I went. Digital World, Digimon, it was outrageous, and Kei would never believe it when I got back. Meaning I was dead, it was just all a matter of time now. The thought of Kei shooting me, or stabbing me, or even beating me with his fists caused an uneasy lump to grow in my throat. Sure he had thrown me around a couple of times before, but beating me to death like he beat others?

“What is your name again?” I asked the boy sitting across from me, trying to hide my shaking hands. They were shaking half because of the meds, and half because of the thought of being killed from Kei.

“Satoshi, Satoshi Takinowa.” He responded, the name seemed to ring a bell, a soft, nearly silent bell in the back of my head. Like a name I read somewhere, or heard somewhere. “Laura we were here just..” He began, I held up a finger to silence him, pulling out the cigarette box from my back pocket as I did.

“You smoke?” He asked, his mouth falling open in shock.

I raised an eyebrow at him and fished around my pockets for a lighter or a match. “Of course I fucking smoke.” I mumbled, the cigarette hanging out of my mouth. “Got a lighter?” I looked up.

“No..” He reached forward, taking the cigarette from my mouth and crushing it in his fingers. “When did you start smoking?”

The question brought me back, the first time I had tried a cigarette had to be when Kei first offered me one, a few weeks after I met him. I wanted to do anything for him to like me back then. I had a crush back then even though I didn’t realize it. “Around the time I joined the Dragon Fangs.”

Satoshi looked at me in shock, or maybe it was pity, his face so white it looked like he was about to die. “It’s the gang I am in, Jesus are you as stupid as you look?” I asked, rising from the table in anger and marching off.

Part of me was hurt that I hurt the poor boy, probably made him cry too. Yet I had buried that part after Kei made me shoot my first man. I hated that part and I wanted to leave it dead and buried. “It’s only Kei and I from now on.” I mumbled to myself, passing one of the girls that had traveled to this Digital World.

She looked back at me in shock, and then followed me as I entered one of the random shops. Having been around the Dragon Fangs long enough, I knew how to take care of some one following me. “It’s either her, or me.” I grasped the pocketknife in my hand and flipped the blade open, following a Dragon Fang usually ended in the death of either the follower or the gang member, and I wasnt taking a chance.

“Die Bitch!” I spun around, only to find no one there. The shop was busy already, and filled with stands full of photos in it, as well as other trinkets. The woman had to have dived under one of the many tables, or disappeared behind one of the many isles of photo stacks. “Great..” I sighed, my eyes shifting right, and then left.

“This would be a lot easier if you would just..” My words trailed off as I walked past a picture of a group of smiling kids. Instantly I recognized a younger Kei in the picture, his arm around a pretty blonde haired girl. Except it wasn’t Kei in the picture, it was Satoshi, and the blonde haired girl looked like myself from years ago.

“What the…hell…” I dropped the blade in shock, staggering backwards in disbelief. The picture had to be a forgery, it had to be. “It is.” I corrected myself, reaching for the picture and taking it in my hands. A stupid, idiotic, retarded forgery!

I grabbed the picture and ripped it into as many pieces as my fingers would allow. It was a forgery, and if I had to I would rip up every copy I could find.

    Hoshiko Takiri
    *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

"I still can't believe they accept money from the other world!" I squealed in glee as I clutched a rice ball in my hand. My stomach had finally been satisfied and now it was time to explore the town.

It didn't take any trouble to get past the Gatomon. After the girl left to follow Shun, the others pretty much ganged up on it, making it just give up. I went to walk by myself, not eager to make a bad first impression. I thought I did okay with Shun. Didn't do anything stupid or said anything goofy. He's just not a people person at all. At least he's polite...sort of.

A girl that I saw earlier brushed past me but didn't say anything to me. She did, however, mention Kei. I stopped and looked back at her. Kei? My cousin Kei? She has to mean my cousin! I knew I've seen her before! She was with him the last time I saw him!

I followed her as soon as her back was turned. I had to keep an eye on her. Anyone that spent enough time with Kei was bound to catch something from him, which was why I tried to keep away from him. He was crazy, but influential. Laura reminded me of him...and that was scary.

She entered a shop that was full of pictures and other things. I stayed close to her until I saw her stop, then sharply turned just as she pulled out a pocketknife. "Whoa, that was close," I muttered to myself as I stayed hidden in one of the aisles. I kept that aisle between the two of us.

She seemed to calm down a little. That is, until she started looking through the photos. We both locked on one picture that had a bunch of kids smiling. Human kids...in the Digital World? Shun's in it! And that guy that looks like Kei! But that girl...

Laura forgot about being calm and ripped the picture to shreds. The shopkeeper, a Digimon about my size, looked up in shock and yelled at her. "Hey you! I hope you have money to pay for that!" That only made her angrier as she looked around for more photos to rip. "Hey!"

She wasn't making a good impression. I hurried over to her and brainlessly grabbed her arm, taking her by surprise. "Let go of me, bitch!" she shrieked.

That alone made me release her. She took the opportunity to grab her pocketknife and point the blade at me. "What did I do?" I squeaked. I glanced around for help, but the Digimon shoppers had cleared.

"Don't you grab me! I'll kill you!" Tears threatened to fall from her eyes but they quickly dried. She whirled around and started to throw pictures everywhere. "Where are they? Where are the rest of the damn forgeries?"

"Forgeries?" the Digimon echoed. "Are you questioning my shop? All of these pictures are real, and you ripped up one of my best!"

Laura turned the blade on the Digimon, but it just slapped it out of her hand. I picked it up and put it in my pocket, also finding one of the picture pieces on the floor. "This girl kind of looks like you," I told her quietly.

    "SHUT UP!" she screamed.

I recoiled from her but recovered quickly. "You're going to get yourself hurt if you keep acting like that!" I yelled back.

She looked around for her knife, growling when she saw me cover my pocket. "I'm a Dragon Fang," she growled.

I sucked in a breath when I heard those words. She was in his gang, doing what he told her. "Not here. Now you're just an outsider, and my cousin isn't around to warp your mind."

Her expression changed to one of surprise. "Kei?" she whispered, and I nodded. She screamed again and stormed out of the store. Now it was just me and the shopkeeper.

I bowed to it and pulled out my wallet. "I hope 500 yen can cover the cost," I said to it. He took the coin I handed to him and stuttered. "Can I also have some stationary?"

It smiled at me and gave me a writing notebook as well as a drawing pad. "Pencils or pens?"

"Pencils, please. And an eraser as well as a sharpener." He handed me all of those and bowed to me as I ran to catch up with Laura. She definitely couldn't be left alone.

    matsumoto tenshi a.k.a "Shun"
"Tenshi-kun, I know you're good with computers and stuff; but have you ever maliciously hacked something before?"Nanase-chan asked me one day on the rooftop of the school building as we shared one of her bentos. I had no time to make mine that morning - something that was common around that time due to working too late on cracking with my online 'friends'.

"I..well.."I replied to her, snatching a piece of omelette as I looked away.
"Tenshi-kun! Please answer me sincerely."She looked at me, pouting. Her black hair flew in the wind as I looked back at her in the corner of my eye, seeing her brown eyes trying to peer into mine.
"a few times.."I mumbled, and she sighed in disgust. I looked back at her and sighed as well, going to grab a bit of rice when she stopped me with a chopstick.

"No more hacking! Use your computer skills for good, please!"She looked into my eyes with the purest look. A moment passed by and the wind blew, and I sighed.
"Fine, I guess you win."I answered, and she allowed me a bit of rice. Where my heart was cold to others, her eyes could warm it up in an instant..

    How could she do it?

'If this world is Digital, then it deals with data, right?' I thought to myself as I headed closer to the plaza.'Then I guess..'

"I'll help out here for you, then."I told myself, looking up at the blue sky that seemed adorned with clouds, and a much similar sun to the one we had on Earth. After a brief pause, it was clear that I was beig followed by someone. I turned around and saw that it was no one else but the Tessarossa-princess*, Sofia.

"You can stop hiding, Tessarossa-Princess."I told her, continuing to walk slowly; looking forward instead of looking at her. "Just go away, will you? It'll be a lot better than following me." I said, than chuckled."Or were you trying to become my friend, Tessarossa-Princess?" I stopped, looking behind me to see her reply.

"No. I've never had a friend, never needed one."She looked at me honestly.
"Same here."I replied, then turned around to continue to walk.
"I doubt that. Not with the way you reacted."She said back; as if she was the one analyzing me. I stopped again and kept my back to her - How dare she try to peak into my business?!
"Is it any of your business?"
"You caught my interest, so yes."She replied curiously, and I rolled my eyes. I was like a lab rat to a scientist to the Princess.
"Well, sorry, but my business is mine alone. Stay out of it."I replied to her, toning my voice to the fact that I was getting annoyed with her.
    "Whatever you want to think."

"Just because you're a princess, you think you can do what you want?"I turned around and looked at her in the eyes - which was easy, since she was my height.
"Who said my parents, or their money, was the basis of it?"She responded, How rich.
"Does it matter? You act spoiled, wanting to know everything."I huffed back, barely able to keep my temper down for the Princess much longer.
"And is that such a terrible goal? I can think of many far worse."
"Wanting to know everything will get you in trouble, princess. Now leave me alone, you're getting nothing out of me."I warned her, then turned my back and continued to walk into the plaza, which was a 2 long strips of shops, one on each side of a grassy park.
"I'll just follow and watch then."She ended it at that; and with myself unable to keep my temper under lid, so did I. I walked onto the grassy park, which had benches, and amongst everything else, 2 statues in a fighting stance, one of an angel in armor - another of a weird, humanoid yet cloud like creature.

'What is it about this that calls out to me..' I looked at the statues, then sighed, finding a bench to sit down; ignoring the observing princess completely.

*Tessarossa-princess- is simply translated from Tessarossa-hime, hime being the suffix he'd add to Sofia's last name. Since he doesn't know 'know' Sofia, he calls her Tessarossa, then adds '-hime' to be rude and a wiseass.

Mystic, you may want to get your character near the plaza as well.

    takinowa satoshi

“It's the gang I am in, Jesus; are you as stupid as you look?”She arose from the table, her voice ringing in pure anger as she stormed off. I was left speechless, breathless as she left me at the table at the small food stand near the train station. No..that wasn't my Laura.

It wasn't. I had to keep telling myself that.

"Are you ok, Satoshi?"Gatomon asked as she walked over, sitting across from me as I sighed. I shook my head no as the cat digimon looked where Laura was heading, then back at me.
"You both have changed from last time."She said with a smile, then frowned."For better or worse, I guess."
"Yeah, I assume.."I trailed off, seeing the guy named 'Chase' wandering around. I would get up to introduce myself, but apart was still depressed from Laura..
"If you're worried about her, lets find her then."Gatomon insisted, jumping out of the chair and pulling me, taking my hand with her paw. We went the way Laura went, mostly Gatomon rushing me; I only got a brief chance to meekly wave to Chase, We crossed paths with a general store that another human, Takiri-chan - if I heard right from overhearing Shun. I waved meekly to her as Gatomon continued to rush me. It was clear that Laura was near.

When we met her, she was a mess. Pale, and shaking. I walked up to her and she paused, pointing to me and the store that Takiri-chan walked out of.
"I..tha..I.."She said, her mouth trembling as she reached into her pockets, taking out a cigarette and a pill. What the pill was for, I had no clue. But the cigarette was no good for her. I looked at my fingers as I thought about the lightning ability I had gained in this world, and snapped my fingers, allowing the flow of electricity to go from my fingers to the cigarrette, exploding the tip of tobacco in her hands; rendering it useless.

    obisidiamon

"Why did Lord Lucemon give us to this nut job?"The Bakemon spoke out in the middle of the long, almost endless grassy field that expanded between Bauda Bay and the forests. "I've heard rumors!"
"If you didn't want to serve Lord Lucemon and risk everything, then why did you give your life to him?"Kiwimon replied to him, and Bakemon sighed. The two more "beastial" type digimon, Birdramon and SangLoupmon seemed pretty determined to prove their worth to Lucemon; unlike Bakemon.

"Now now, there are only 2 spirits in Bauda Bay, so I only need to take two of you."I smiled, smelling Kuro no Hana's flower as I looked at them. The Bakemon seemed pleased with this as the others seemed determined to be picked. I smiled as I took four petals off of Kuro no Hana, and walked over to each of them, placing one on each of them. They all froze as I did, unsure of what I was doing.

"I am just giving you my blessing."I said cheerfully as I placed the last one on Bakemon's head."Seeds of Hana"
As the flower petals sunk into their data, their eyes glew a purple as I took immediate control of their wills. I had 2 extra minions, and I wanted to see who was going to go fetch me the spirits.
"Fight to the death for me and Lord Lucemon!"I smiled, sprouting my wings and flying into the air."Birdramon versus SangLoupmon and Bakemon versus Kiwimon, go!"

    ---

It was a most entertaining spectacle. I watched from the air as the 2 beast like digimon fought against each other, and the 2 more humanoid like did the same. I sincerely craved a bucket of popcorn through out the fight. But; whatever, SangLoupmon and Bakemon came out victorious. I flew down, clapping as their will was still under my control. I used my powers to heal their wounds and ease their exhaustion. I'd easily let them go free - they did want to do this for Lord Lucemon, but I was having fun with my puppets.

It was all practice, anyway. For when I could use it on him.

"Now, my most powerful Champion ranked minions, onward we go to Bauda Bay!"I said with glee, pointing at the horizon where the town rest.

Info on Kiwimon and SangLoupmon can be found at the digidex I keep on refering to. Their pages are coded to pop up instead of in another window, so I cannot link them.

As well; if you haven't posted a second time and need to interact or want to; pick a character that also hasn't interacted with anyone else and then you can pretty much do what you want until Kei attacks, or the spirit battle; which will be happening at the same time.

If you need help with your post, I can be reached at sorairoDays on AIM. I do not use MSN. Please note I am not available Saturday nights, and I also play an MMO; so while I can answer and help out, it will take a while for me to respond.

    Sofia Tessarossa
    __________________________________________________ __

I followed the boy, watching him think. It was odd, this was bizarrely entertaining, very fascinating, why had I never thought of doing this before? He then muttered something about helping out something or other before calling out to me.

    "You can stop hiding, Tessarossa-hime."*

He began to keep walking, stating, "Just go away, will you? It'll be a lot better than following me." Then he did the oddest thing, he chuckled, continuing, "Or were you trying to become my friend, Tessarossa-Princess?"

He then stopped, waiting for the reply. I stated, honestly, and without the slightest bit of regret or emotion, "No. I've never had a friend, never needed one." It was true, I had never had an emotional bond like how people described friendship.

"Same here." he countered, turning to continue to walk.

I replied, calling his bluff based on his earlier reaction, "I doubt that. Not with the way you reacted."

That got a reaction, he stopped, bristling a bit, obviously perturbed by my analysis, retorting, "Is it any of your business?"

"You caught my interest, so yes." I answered, it WAS my business, because I MADE it my business. I never understood that about people.

"Well, sorry, but my business is mine alone. Stay out of it." He countered defensively, letting his irritation show in his voice, and to which I simply answered, "Whatever you want to think."

"Just because you're a princess, you think you can do what you want?" He replied, turning around, looking me in the eyes, perhaps trying to make me uncomfortable, I wasn't sure.

"Who said my parents, or their money, was the basis of it?" I asked, this was an additude I'd seen before, and found rather distasteful. My parent's money didn't matter, it was my intelligence that mattered.

He was getting real angry now, most likely that he wasn't phasing me and getting me to leave, stating, "Does it matter? You act spoiled, wanting to know everything."

That was an interesting response, why SHOULDN'T one want to know everything, wasn't the rampant pursuit of knowledge the very basis for the advancement of the human race? As such, I replied, "And is that such a terrible goal? I can think of many far worse."

Really upset, and obviously trying to get away, he answered, "Wanting to know everything will get you in trouble, princess. Now leave me alone, you're getting nothing out of me." I mentally scoffed at this additude, finishing the conversation by saying, "I'll just follow and watch then."

And I did so, but, I had the oddest sensation, life a faint tingling in my chest... it was wierd. I couldn't put a name to this odd sensation, so I put it aside, focusing on the task at hand.

Note: I converted the Princess bit to the Japanese suffix.

    ---------------------------------------
To say that I was lost would be an understatement. I was alone, in a foreign world, populated by strange creatures.

On one hand, I was a little frightened. While so far nothing had attacked me, I couldn’t be sure I was completely safe in this world.

On the other hand, I was delighted. Another world meant a whole new culture, a whole new history for me to learn, and with creatures like Digimon, it was bound to be a very interesting one.

I pulled the strange device out of my pocket. I was at first afraid that my cell phone had been stolen, but this strange device worked almost as well. I was quite curious about it. What was its function, it’s purpose?

I looked around. I was completely alone. Sure, I wasn’t the only human to have been brought here, but they all went in their separate directions, leaving me all alone. I figured I could try to find them, but then again, if they were busy, I wouldn’t want to interrupt.

However, it seemed like I wouldn’t need to find them.

    One of them found me.

As I rounded a corner, I felt someone but into me, causing me to stagger back a bit.

“I apologize,” I said quickly before looking up at the person in question, “I didn’t notice you.”

    ~*~*~*~*~ Pure, unfiltered, ANGER! ~*~*~*~*~

The loss of the cigarette suddenly snapped me out of my haze. Everything that I had been worrying about, everything that had clouded my mind suddenly disappeared in a rush of fluid anger. “You bastard.” I spat, slapping Satoshi across the face as hard as I can, leaving a hand mark across his face. “Stay away from me, or I swear I will kill you.”

Satoshi smirked back a bit, almost as if he thought he had won. That smirk, the loss of my cigarette, and those pictures. It was all building up inside of me, like a volcano just nearing the point of erupting. I took in two deep breaths and wished I had my knife with me. I would cut Satoshi a smile ear to ear, that would teach him to smirk about such things. “Stay away.” I pointed a shaky finger at him before taking off.

It wasn’t long until my steps began to get staggered, I needed a smoke, and I needed one oh so badly. Yet with out a lighter the cigarette was as useless as a stone. “Damn it.” I mumbled, rounding a corner to try and throw Satoshi off my trail. Only to run right into what felt like a tree.

“Son of a bitch.” I screamed, more out of frustration than anger, only to find that I had ran into what had to be the tallest woman I had ever seen.

“I apologize.” The woman, or was it a man? Said as he/she quickly apologized. “I didn’t notice you.”

I growled back a response and pushed past him/her. “Hey, where are you heading off to?” The person asked, quickly following me. While I hated to have any attention at the moment, I needed to throw Satoshi off my trail. So I quickly moved to where any view of me was blocked by the giant.

“I’m trying to find a lighter.” I explained, keeping my voice down low as the road emptied out into a large plaza. “If you can find me one, I’ll share it.” I offered him a lopsided grin, holding out a cigarette.

“Lighter?” A American girl around my age spoke up. It was a bit of a relief to find that I wasn’t the only American there, yet that fact was overshadowed that her bust line far outshined mine. “I doubt you will find any one of those here, unless you can find a fire Digimon.”

I took in a long, deep breath, my hands running through my hair as I tried to digest the information. “That is so fucking great.” I mumbled, closing my eyes and trying to settle my trembles. I took in another long deep breath, preparing a high pitched scream in anger, only to swallow it back down into my stomach.

“Kei?” The scream was replaced with shock, a smile spreading over my face. I turned to the two people by my side, glancing at each of them before my eyes focused back on the unmistakable face of Kei in the crowd. “KEI!” I squealed in childish glee, letting all barriers of formality drop as I ran toward’s him and enveloped him into a hug.

A few minutes after leaving the store passed before I went back to being nosy. I shouldn't be following her. But I disarmed her, so she should be harmless now. Besides, I know a few things from surviving Kei's wrath.

She was somewhere with that Satoshi character, that much I knew. Satoshi wouldn't leave her side. But that thought was cast aside after finding Satoshi sans Laura. "Hey, where did she go?" I asked him, hoping he knew who I was referring to.

"I lost her," he sadly replied.

I gave him a reassuring smile, not wanting him to get down. "We shouldn't get that worried about her. I'm going to explore more and see if I can find anything useful to get for the journey."

I walked down the street, passing more knick-knack stores. There was one store that sold instant ramen, so I bought a few packs as well as a backpack to keep my things in. I was in good spirits as I walked down and saw Satoshi in a better mood. "That's a relief," I muttered to myself. I went the way I came...only to see Satoshi.

My eyes must've been playing tricks on me. Satoshi was over there...but he's there... My eyes darted in both directions until I rushed toward where I saw the first Satoshi. I had a bad feeling, a very bad feeling that got more uncomfortable the more I thought about it. My pants leg fell over my shoe, earning me a meeting with the hard ground as I tried to make a sharp turn.

Then I saw him. Him. Letting Laura embrace him while he wore that cold look. What was he doing here? And why wasn't he with the rest of us when we woke up? Panic boiled in my stomach as I pulled myself to my feet and ran to the two. Two more people that woke up with me were just watching the whole thing. Don't they see that look in his eyes? He shouldn't be here!

"KEI!" I cried out to get his attention.

It worked; his head snapped to me just as I got near. He shoved Laura away and fixed his cruel eyes onto me. "You too? What, did some idiot want some retards for his entertainment?" he sneered.

I stood between him and Laura. "Who brought you here?" I demanded breathlessly.

    "A friend," he told me.

Laura punched my shoulder. "Get away from us! You're ruining everything!" she growled.

I rubbed the spot that would most likely bruise later and wrestled with her, the two of us pushing each other but neither of us yeilding. "Laura, there's something wrong with him! I mean, something worse!" I shouted.

    "SHUT UP!" she shrieked.

"Damn, this is getting annoying," Kei grumbled. I couldn't see him as my back was to him. But I did feel something graze my cheek, feeling like a paper cut. Laura and I immediately stopped our fighting. I put my hand up to my cheek and pulled back bloody fingers.

"Kei?" Laura whimpered. There was a similar cut on her cheek. We both turned around to face our mutual "friend".

"I should thank Lucemon for the powers," Kei commented as held a kunai knife in his hand.

My heart felt like it was going double time. "Not good," I squeaked.

Beautiful. I always did like the sight of blood on a girl's pale skin. My cousin only made it better with that terrified look of hers. Maybe she would piss herself if I gave her another cut. "Hoshiko. How long has it been?" I asked her.

She wouldn't even say anything. It seems like she was more concerned on staying conscious. I turned to Laura who was still being shielded by Hoshiko. "So this is where you went," I said to Laura. "I thought I told you to stay in the fucking car."

"I didn't want to go!" Laura sobbed. "They made me!"

"Quiet, bitch!" I roared. Both she and Hoshiko squeaked. "I think both of you need to be punished. That little injury I gave you last time clearly wasn't enough, Hoshiko." She flinched at the memory of her broken wrist, making me laugh.

"Leave them alone!" a weird looking guy shouted as he stepped forward, followed by an American girl.

I threw two kunai at their feet as a warning. "You can have what's left," I assured him.

He kept glaring at me and twitched his muscles in anger. "I...can't...move," he grunted. It seems to be the same with the girl.

"Hm?" I looked down at their feet. The kunai hadn't hit them, just their shadows. I must've pinned them some way. "Oh well, whatever works."

Hoshiko took a step back and held up a red ball to my face. "Go away! I don't know what this thing does, but I bet it's nasty!" Then, after pushing Laura back a little more, threw the ball into the air.

    BOOM!

My head shot up to the explosion. "A bomb?" I asked.

Hoshiko took the opportunity to grab Laura and pull her behind the two others. Before I could do anything, she pulled at the kunai knives paralyzing her friends until they came out. "So you have powers too. You can make cute little bombs," I said to her.

"I really didn't know what they were!" she said in a panic. The knives vanished in her hands.

"Let's take this to the next level." I reached for the device that Lucemon gave me.

Apologies for lack of decent reply time. School is pretty time-consuming right now...

    =+= Lianne Parlatti - Nature-Driven Fire Angel =+=
Then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel was just a freight train coming your way

Lianne slowly attempted to comprehend this situation here - a world infested with a large variety of beasts capable of human speech and ideas.

She heard it mentioned once years ago, albeit in passing with a conversation between she and her mother. And even then, this situation was in regards to her seeing several patients not much older than she experiencing "dreams" involving a rather similar while in comas, all of which occured simultaneously. This was never dismissed as insane, but attempts to figure the case out did not advance...

Perhaps this was said situation, revisited?

Shaking her head, the young American girl leaned back against the wall, watching the occurances in her plaza surroundings. The red and tan walls of many of the buildings and warm shoreline location reminded her of photographs from the cities once considered Spanish territory: San Juan, Havana, Santo Domingo...even Pensacola and Saint Augustine, both within the area her parents came from.

Yet, why did these names sound so foreign to her?

Confused by her musings, Lianne sighed deeply. Then her train of thought was ruined by a human voice finding its way into her sensitive zone of hearing; light like a preteen's, yet seemed as coarse as a hooligan sticking to the "wrong side of the tracks."

"I'm trying to find a lighter," the child spoke. At this, Lianne turned her head to see a small pale girl; clearly another American basing from looks and lack of accent. Yet, she was speaking to an Arabian behemoth - tan skin with dark hair, quite possibly bordering seven feet in height. What was stunning was how androgynous the giant seemed - however, she thought it was safe to assume that this "beast" was a male.

"If you can find me one, I'll share it." The girl was now smirking in a way similar to a drug dealer. Lianne's eyes widened as she frowned a little with confusion. The sympathy in her heart, however, managed to get the best of her...

"Lighter?" Lianne quietly asked, causing both the tween and the potential drag queen to turn and look at her. After looking around, the girl clad in two shirts and baggy denim slid over only slightly, the chains around her neck lightly clicking with friction between one another. "I doubt you will find any one of those here, unless you can find a fire Digimon."

However, Lianne felt a little ashamed when the younger girl began to seem frustrated, running fingers through her hair, artificially dark as night, and breath deeply. Mumbling and constantly opening and shutting her eyes, about to scream with anger and then--

"KEI??" the tween's obviously dark mood was erased as she grinned and ran off towards a Japanese boy that seemed older, by about five years or so.

Lianne slowly managed to supress her concern with the surrounding events momentarily before turning away towards her side. Yet, the feeling of being watched started to overcome her as she turned her head slowly and saw the Arab eying her with a stoned expression seen only in people that were honestly intoxicated, really nosey, or just plain perverted.

Because of this fact leading her to believe that the Arab was more likely perverted or nosey rather than drugged up, the girl's normally calm expression faded into disgust; her usual faint frown becoming obvious, and eyebrows furrowed. Moments passed without any sign of change in the Arab, causing Lianne to sigh deeply and walk off into the distance, away from the crowd. Clearly this potential transvestite was also blind to emotions other than their own.

Unsure of what to do now, Lianne merely stopped by another sound catching her ears. However, this was a scream?

    "LEAVE THEM ALONE!"

"Not this shit again," Lianne thought out loud under her breath with a small tinge of rage flaring up, her heart getting to her head again. She turned around, clutching the wooden boomerang at her side, and slowly started to walk back towards the humans in the crowd, eventually breaking to a sprint as she halted, the boy dubbed "Kei" shouting threats and throwing kunais in her direction.

Lianne jumped out of the way and fell to the ground without any injury. However, she found herself completely hindered, unable to get up. And the her peripheral vision caught that the blade had pinned her shadow...magic kunais?

    BOOM

"A bomb?" Kei asked. Lianne's eyes opened wide with shock as she saw a girl that appeared to be somewhat related, possibly a cousin, to Kei clutch the smoker-girl from earlier, reply with sincere confusion to a taunt by her kindred, and retreat towards a location behind her and the Arab, managing to pull up the knives that penetrated their shadows, freeing both from the spell.

Lianne quickly gave the "new" girl her full gratitude before clutching her boomerang again, and slowly backed one foot to start crouching into a position for throwing as Kei began to pull out a device...

It's just like ours; the realization seemed to bring a pang of despair.

"Let's take this to the next level..." Kei began to say. Lianne slowly returned to a normal standing position and gulped, her heart beginning to race with anticipation of what would happen next.

Whatever it is, I don't like where this is going...

    ...I'm not dead yet!

~*~*~*~*~ The day that has been shot straight to hell ~*~*~*~*~

I staggered back in shock, my feet nearly tripping over each other, my eyes traveling up Kei’s new body as blood ran down my cheek. He had called it a ‘Digivolution’ and the word ‘evolution’ seemed to be an understatement. The most prominent thing though, or I should say the scariest thing being the large black wings that came from his back.

“Kei… is that you?” I whispered, walking toward him after shaking off that bitch, and placing my hands on his chest and slowly moving them up, feeling every muscle as I did. “This is amazing.”

He responded by looking down at me, his reptilian pupils narrowed into a glare that seemed to be mixed with mild curiosity. “Some one is being brave.” He grinned, flashing his canines.

“I’m a Dragon Fang, of course I am brave..” I leaned in, savoring his smell; he still smelled and felt like Kei, even in this new, and weird body. “And I would do anything for you.”

He placed a finger on my lips and then smiled. “Then close your eyes.” He grinned.

I did so, a slight smile on my face as I a waited what would probably be a kiss. “Get AWAY!” Someone screamed out. My eyes bolted open just in time to see the flash of Kei’s blood red scythe as it came in on an angle that would slice my head off.

“Laura!” I could hear Satoshi scream out, a split second before the scythe would clean my head straight off. Only it never came, it stopped only millimeters from my neck, a golden glow preventing it from moving any further.

“Kei?” I looked up at him in shock and betrayal, all I got in return was a look of frustration and pure hatred on his face, his arms desperately trying to move the scythe. “Why?” I mumbled in shock before turning away, finding what looked like a little girl wearing a white dress hugging my side, her body glowing with the same aura as mine was.

“Run.” She yelled, Kei yanking his scythe free of the aura as he pulled back again for another deadly swipe.

Who ever that was, who ever Kei had turned into, it wasn’t Kei. It was some demon that was in control of his body. Never the less I didn’t have to hear the girl again, I dropped into a crouch and pivoted around, dashing away from Kei as fast as I could, the girl disappearing as I did.

“Did he hurt you?” Satoshi asked, racing to meet me with open arms. His eyes doing a quick check over my body, either in lust, or concern.

“I’m fine.” I mumbled, still trying to comprehend the situation, while shoving Satoshi away.

Satoshi’s hands crackled with electricity as he turned his sights towards Kei. “Stay here then.” He rose, taking only a few steps as I got to my feet, retrieving the bow staff from my back.

“You won’t hurt Kei you fucker.” I growled, using the staff to knock Satoshi’s feet out from under him. “I wont let you kill him.”

"Stay here then."I turned my back on Laura as my fists crackled with electricity, heading to the one she called 'Kei'; who looked completely like me prior to the evolution. I took a few steps, however, only for my face to meet the pavement.
“You won't hurt Kei, you fucker.” Laura growled above me as I rolled over, getting on my feet.“I wont let you kill him.”
"And yet he almost killed you, you'll let him get away with that?"I looked into her eyes as it seemed clear that this Laura wasn't going to let me hurt him, at least without going through her.

    Still..why was she so different..

"That wasn't Kei, something is wrong with him,"She said; positively sure of her statement as she held her Bo staff. I didn't know what to do - I didn't want to hurt her in anyway. She started to aim her staff completely at me, taking me down again as all I did was defend, I didn't want to hurt Laura.
"You're a wuss."She said as she jabbed the staff into my stomach, making me lose my wind for a few seconds. My glasses fell right besides me as my vision blurred..

"Stop this now!"Gatomon intervened, placing my glasses on my eyes as I coughed. I looked at Laura; ashamed at myself - that I couldn't bring myself to fight her. She looked at Gatomon, upset for interfering, and walked off. I sighed, sitting up and adjusted my glasses as I looked at Gatomon; who seemed throughly concerned.

"I could've sworn..back there, with Kei."I told Gatomon as I sat on the pavement."that I saw my Laura."
"Yours?"She asked."Oh, the one from 4 years ago."I nodded, and slowly got up, sighing.

    'If she's still in there..then I have a chance.'

    Maybe..

    matsumoto tenshi a.k.a "Shun"

I sat on a bench parallel to the two statues, staring at them for a second before closing my eyes and relaxing. The whole place seemed completely nostalgic; but I was sure that this was my first time in this strange world. Strangle world, strangle creatures, strange humans.

Well, the latter existed in the other world as well; I just never got them shoved in my face like the princess. Who was still near me, more than likely.

As I relaxed, I could hear explosions go off in the background; not too far but not too close. I sighed and opened my eyes, turning my head and looking for the source in curiosity. There seemed to be some sort of fight going on between the others and someone else - but I was just fine on this bench.

'My chosen one..'A distant voice cried as I looked back to the statues.

"Logically, it's best that I keep myself safe; if they REALLY need me, I'll duck in." Tessarossa-hime put her opinion in; it seemed in on atleast this matter she'd keep to herself unless she was needed.
"Their fight is none of my business."I told her indirectly. As they seemed to calm down, however, another disturbance seemed to come in - on my end.

Two monsters, one seemingly familiar to a typical blanket-ghost and the other..was like some demonic dog. Heading towards the statues and making waste of the small digimon in their path, I quickly unsheathed my naginata, leaving the sheath on the bench as I got in form in front of the statues; ignoring anything the princess was saying.

'My chosen one..'The voice got clearer as the 2 digimon got closer, and the device started to shake in my pocket as if it were a pager. I took it out as the digimon approached; their killing intent outmatched mine as I looked behind me at the statue of the knight that seemed to be fighting the mist-based..thing. They both seemed to glow - the knight white while the mistesque one a purple.

"What the.."I got off before being consumed in a monstrous glow of light as the knight's statue disappeared.

This is obviously right after the battle with Kei, and anyone who wants to see/the Chosen Child of Darkness might want to get there after that battle.(See talkback for more info~)

Karry turned her head up to the sky as she heard them, feeling them, leaving the group. How silly. Why were they leaving. That's...that's not reliable. Nope, not at all...stupid. What was this thing- she looked at this thing, the digivice, with a critial eye. What did it do, what could it be?

Her narrowed her off coloured eyes, pulling out a paper clip from her vest pocker. She stabbed it into the...thing. It let out an angery shock, beeped, and then a screen came up.

Gatomon, champion, mammal digimon. Beware of its Cat's eyes hypnotism, and its fast acting claws. The ring on its tail holds codes from an advance civilization

Kento's eyebrows shot up her forehead, out of shock she threw the digivice. Her face turned a delicate shade of red, looking around. Everyone looked ocupied, so she quickly crawled after it...her face twitched, as she gribbed the Digivice. There was that kid...that one who tried to talk to her.

"What are you doing here?" She asked, as her digivice beeped in her hand, the screen going down.

I watched the fight, frowning, there was something off here. Why was another human here? Logically, there shouldn't be, yet... there he was. Of course, I kept an eye on Shun as well. I noticed that he was watching the fight as well, from where he was. My thoughts turned to him, putting a theory together, piece by piece.

Clearly he was uncomfortable in social situations, or close to other people in general. The very presence of other people agitated him, making him nervous.

When nervous due to people, especially me, he gets extremely defensive, trying to push them away.

I had a good suspicion now, but I'd confront him with it later. Instead, I stated, "Logically, it's best that I keep myself safe; if they REALLY need me, I'll duck in." Seriously, though it seemed a bit tough for them, especially with the traitor girl, they seemed to be handling it fine.

He replied that their fight was none of his business either, then the both of us noticed two more monsters approaching, and not looking friendly about it either. In the space of a moment, I became... made of metal? this would need looking into.

I then noticed a glow from the statues, and Shun getting enveloped by light, and for some odd reason, my heart seemed to skip a beat.

    ~*~*~*~*~ Of days long past… ~*~*~*~*~

    Four Years Ago

The blue sand that made up one of the three moons of the digital world was soft, but at the same time it seemed to get everywhere and made everything completely uncomfortable. The last of the Lunars was some were upon this moon and tomorrow would be our last day in the digital world. The only problem that remained was getting to sleep to be prepared for tomorrow. A soft shadow was cast over me, telling me that some one was standing close by. “Are you awake?” Satoshi’s voice whispered, reaching down and stroking a lock of my hair.

“Maybe.” I mumbled back, shifting uncomfortably in the sand. A long moment of silence passed before Satoshi finally moved, he sat down in the sand and moved to place my head in his lap to try and give me some sort of comfort. Instead of allowing him to move me though, I instantly jerked away from his touch.

“Did I do something wrong?” He asked, placing his hands next to me, making sure not to touch my body.

“I’m not talking to you.” I shot back, curling up into a ball and awaiting sleep to take me away from Satoshi, and bring some peace before the final battle. “Why don’t you go talk to Kenichi if you want company.” I spat out with a yawn, emphasizing Kenichi since he was the whole reason I was mad at Satoshi.

Satoshi paused a minute before finally placing a hand on my back. “I’m not here to talk to him, I’m here to talk to you.” He whispered, rubbing my back gently, trying to release the stress knots that seem to cover it. “You’re too young to have this much stress…”

I jerked away from his touch and continued to pout. “All you have done since Las Mesa is talk to him.” I shot back. It was true, ever since Las Mesa it has been Kenichi this, and Kenichi that. It seemed like he had completely forgotten about me.

“I’m sorry.” He finally said, I followed his shadow and watched him look away, sneaking a glance at his solemn face before he turned back. “I’ve just been so overwhelmed, but I want to talk to you now.”

I waited a moment before finally taking in a long deep breath. “I don’t wanna go home, I wanna stay here, with you, and everyone else. You guys are my friends.” I explained, my voice beginning to drift off. “I don’t like Earth, being homeless, having to eat out of trashcans, having rats bite you, it isn’t nice like it is here.”

I finally succumbed to the pressure and rose up, allowing him to place my head in his lap. “Maybe… once we’re back on Earth, I’ll find you. Then you can live with my family.” He grinned that cute grin, and played with my nose with his pointer finger.

“But how will I know what you look like? And Tokyo is so big..” I sighed, looking away at the rest of the sleeping group.

Satoshi paused, running the back of his hand down my cheek gently. My left cheek still bruised from when he struck me back in Las Mesa. “I have blue eyes and glasses, and don’t worry, no matter what, I’ll find you. I live in the Shinjuku area of Tokyo.” He said as I tried to say the word several times, Shinjuku, Shinjuku.

“But…” I finally added, there were just so many people in Tokyo with glasses, what if I picked the wrong one? What if I went up and talked to a stranger?!

“You want something more..” He placed a finger to his lips and glanced up at the starry sky. I nodded and watched his movements. “How about this?” He leaned forward with a grin, kissing my nose.

I giggled in response and pushed his head away. “Not good enough? Hmm.” He thought for a minute. “If I see you, I will ask for your hand.” He took my hand into his and opened it.

“You give me your hand and I will do this.” He traced a heart on my hand. “That will be our secret signal okay?” He asked. I gave him back a gentle nod and snuggled into his lap, confident that when I did go back home. I would be able to find him.

Sorry it took me so long.

    Kei Takiri/Ryuumon
    *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

It was working perfectly. That look-a-like couldn't even touch me with Laura blocking his way. Hoshiko looked too scared to try another bomb with the girl standing too close. Not that it mattered; more knives pierced her shadow as well as the other two and seemed to be more effective than before. But as useful as Laura was, she was starting to get annoying. "Am I really more important than your new friends?" I asked Laura.

"They're not my friends! You're the only one here I care about!" she cried. She took a step forward and let her bo hang limply at her side. "This isn't you. That transformation is messing with your mind."

That really amused me. She's either extremely loyal or just stupid. Let's put this to a test. I wonder if this trick will work. "Step back, dear Laura. I want to examine your beauty," I said softly.

She smiled widely and took three steps back. I smirked and slowly made a circle gesture with my finger, slightly noticing that a black circle drew itself around both Hoshiko and the American girl. Laura took this as a request to spin in place. My smile got wider. "Perfect," I growled.

    "Really?" Laura cheeped.

I nodded and raised my scythe to the two in the circle. The two girls panicked as a dome was raised over them. "Feel the pain!" My laugh mixed in with the girls' screams of pain while dark lightning attacked their bodies.

I stopped the attack before my new toys got too damaged. "Aww, you're still conscious," I said in disappointment. I landed and yawned. "You two are too boring. I hope you're more fun the next time we meet." I flew off, completely ignoring Laura's cries and only letting the knives disappear when I was at a safe distance.

Satoshi bit his lower lip as his glasses lowered, trying to think of ways that he could make Laura remember him. Although he remembered the time they spent in the digital world so clearly; the 6 months after were too hazy, leaving a feeling of despair. He looked on as the person Laura called 'Kei', in a digimon form, using some form of a dark element attack.

It was then that he remembered something before they left for the real world, four years ago.

“You give me your hand and I will do this.” He had told her, drawing a heart shape on her hand.“That will be our secret signal okay?" and she had nodded gently.

'But this Laura isn't the same one as back then, and if she doesn't remember.. He thought as Kei left; bored with everyone. He walked to Laura, who seemed to be crying out for Kei, and grasped her hand firmly. Her immediate reaction was to try to pull it back, but he held on as he slowly drew the heart on it.

"What.."She looked at it, frozen as she looked at her hand. Her hand trembled as it seemed that she seemed to remember something,"you.."

But it only lasted for a second, as she took her hand away, placing the trembling limb in her pocket. This reaction, no matter how small, was good enough for Satoshi, as he smiled. The air remained silent for a minute or two until a large explosion erupted in the background; where a purple and white-esque light could be viewed.

    tenshimon
"Where..am I?" Shun looked around, surrounded on all sides by a blinding light. Ribbons of light flowed over his body, observing his data as it peered through his shirt, showing a scar in the shape of the crescent moon. He quickly pulled his shirt down, and looked around. It seemed like he was somewhere else; and he hoped that the 'Tessarossa-princess' was nowhere near.

'Virtue of Prudence..God of Light' A voice boomed, and Shun found the device he first saw when he came into this world in his hands once more. 'I am Tenshimon. I found you; and now I must protect you.'

"Protect!?" Shun laughed as a figure appeared, but it was too late for him to deny anything..

"Spirit Evolution!"Tenshimon took hold of Shun's body, dropping the naginata as the light that engulfed his body prior was swallowed into his device. As he took the device into his hands, it seemed the other statue, of the spirit of darkness, was activating as well. Tenshimon glared; but knew it was no time for rivalries. As Tenshimon took Shun's body and had it press the button on the side of the D-Scanner, a different kind of light particle started to engulf his body as it started to grow..

Into a long blond haired, silver eyed angelic knight. The approaching digimon halted for a second, and Tenshimon slowly drew his sword out at the bigger one, smiling slightly.

"I shall fight you, SangLoupmon,"Tenshimon let out of his mouth, getting in a fighting stance, hoping that the other spirit was ready to fight the Bakmon off.

Trying out 3rd person here as well.

edit: Alright, sorry for the lack of info last night. What was done in the yellow text will be able to be seen (except for Tenshimon's voice, as thats in Shun's head.). Shun's scar itself has nothing to do with being a "Virtue", as Tenshimon put it, it's just a scar he got from his father.

I managed to see through the blinding light a bit, seeing what looked like a scar on his chest, before he forced the shirt down, causing another foreign emotion to flow through me before the light was sucked from around him and into the device in his hand.

I then heard him utter, "Spirit Evolution!" and... change, into a tall, angelic being. I gaped, watching as he and the other guy who'd changed into a dark, mistlike thing, went to attack the two enemy digimon. I stood there dumbly, stunned, as I watched.

Then one of them, a large, wolflike one with wings and blades, spotted me, and I turned to get out of the way, but it shouted "Sticker Blade!" and flung a large number of metal blades at me. I didn't doubt that they would kill me if they hit, and I knew that I was too slow to dodge. I closed my eyes, hopefully this wouldn't be as painful as I feared.

I then felt a jerk, and, in suprise, I turned back to flesh and blood, feeling myself being carried by Shun. The loss of breath was understandable, but why did my face feel so hot? And why was my heart beating like a hummingbird's?

~*~*~*~*~ "There must be some way out of here," said the joker to the thief~*~*~*~*~

What ever Satoshi had done to me, it was playing hell on my sinuses, it was a throbbing pain that started in the back of my eyes, and made it’s way up to my head while another source ran up my spine. The headache felt all too familiar, yet at the same time alien. I could remember the pain, all too vividly, only when I had it and where seemed to be lacking. “Son of a..” I moaned rubbing my head in anger.

The group was making it’s way to the explosion, which seemed to only anger the pain even more, maybe it was the group of idiots I was stuck with, or maybe it was the movement. Maybe it was both. “You don’t look so good.” The American girl I had come to know as Lianne glanced over at me as I raised a shaky and sweaty hand to my forehead.

“He did something to me.” I growled in response, moving at a brisker pace, which only seemed to worsen the headache.

“Who?” The reply came, which only served to remind me that these around me were idiots.

“He who? Satoshi, who else.” I threw a accusing finger toward Satoshi who seemed to look over at me with shock and pity. “He used his powers or what ever we have here.” I glared back daggers at him.

Satoshi snapped his fingers, a flash of lighting running through the fingers, the light only hurting my eyes. “I can only do this.” He replied innocently.

I shook my head, stars flashing through my eyes as I stumbled away from him. “I need… just get away.” I waved my arms at them and rushed over into a near by alleyway, using the hard concrete wall to keep my balance as I rushed down it.

“Laura?” Satoshi yelled out, following me down the alleyway.

“You, stay away.” I really didn’t want to form words or anything, just to find some place dark and nurse my headache. I grabbed the side of a trash can and tossed it onto it’s side, spilling contents everywhere as I rushed into a busy street.

A few storefronts down the road I moved into another alley, the darkness instantly relieving the pain as my legs began to give out from underneath me. “Where…” I rubbed my head, grabbing onto some boxes for support, only to have them tumble away from me. “Where am I..” I rubbed my head, falling backwards and slumping against the wall.

I grabbed the back of my head, digging my nails in as I felt as if I could claw out my brain. “Satoshi, Aunt Sarah..” I sobbed, rocking back in forth, tears running down my cheeks.

“Shh, its okay.” A familiar voice whispered into my ear, a hand brushing past my cheek.

“You’re having one of your spells aren’t you?” He tipped my head up, bringing my eyes up to look at his. The face, which held those eyes, his face looked so familiar, so loving.

“I want Satoshi and Alphamon.” I replied back, trembling. Those names were so familiar, those names felt like love, when I spoke them I felt a warm feeling rise inside of me.

The familiar man’s face turned into a scowl as he reached into my pocket, yanking out a pill bottle and flipping the lid. “How many times do I have to tell you that they are not real, now you know you need to take your pills, that they make the pain and confusion go away.” He took a white pill out of the bottle and placed it against my lips.

“Open wide.” He commanded, instinctively I clamped my mouth shut, shaking my head as he pressed the pill harder against my lips. “Open your mouth bitch.” He screamed, spit flying into my face as a sharp pain ripped through my hand.

I opened my mouth to scream and found the pill slipped inside, the man yanked the knife out of my hand and cupped my mouth, turning my head upward as the pill slid down my throat. “Good girl.” He grinned, licking the blood off of the knife.

“Tasty..” He licked the knife clean before helping me to my feet while I clutched my hand.

“Kei?” I looked up at him in shock and joy, the pain subsiding and the fog in my head clearing. He slipped the pill bottle into his pocket while leaning in, kissing my lips gently while running a hand through my hair.

“I love you.” I whispered, closing my eyes in pleasure, when I opened them he was gone, disappeared into the shadows. My heart sank as I turned to see Satoshi standing there, looking at me wide eyed in shock, his shadow pinned by a Kunai.

“You’re holding the team up.” I pushed past him angrily, shoving him with my shoulder and yanking the Kunai out of his shadow before I made my way back to the group. My headache cleared by my boyfriend, Kei. I had to watch out for Satoshi, that bastard and his powers had some sort of effect on me.

“You look better.” The American girl chimed in as I fell into lock step in the group.

I replied with the first smile I had cracked since I had reached this world. “Much better..” I grinned back.
