Default The Antics of Ingame Trainers

Okay, I must post this. I'm playing Fire Red, and a Gambler on Route 8 just tried to confuse-shuffle me.

Yes, that means exactly what you think it means. Confuse Ray, Roar, Confuse Ray, Roar, Confuse Ray, Roar...I laughed so hard.

Do you have any tales of ingame trainers acting so dumb that they can't even be forgiven by the fact that their actions are random?

Aside from Fisherman using nothing but Splashing Magikarp? Um... well, it's always fun when Fly/Dig is countered by a quick Selfdestruct. And when E4 Pokemon Dragon Dance three straight times while you take an easy KO. (I'm looking at you, Drake!)

I remember Elite Four Sidney doing that with his Shiftry (after using Fake Out first). I laughed even more when I used Aerial Ace while he was doing that.

I used to hate that to with the Metapods and Kakunas from red and Blue. They were such a pain in the ass.

And also ground types using earthquake when both my pokemon are flying and killing their electric type team mate

It's pretty nice if you can exploit immunities too (like sending a Ghost-Type out against something you know only has all Normal and/or Fighting attacks).

I remember a trainer in R/S/E that had a Pelipper that had NO means of attack at all. Its moveset was something clunky like Mist, Safeguard, Stockpile, Swallow (I don't remember the set exactly, but I think this was it), so it was pretty much free EXP to whatever fought it.

There's also a sorta dumb trainer in D/P. Her Ambipom and Rapidash are pretty solid fighters, but her Chansey...well, it's just not great. It has a haphazard moveset of Sing, Double-Edge, Dream Eater, and Defense Curl. Might I add that she fights in a sandstorm, and Sing's accuracy sucks? Play it right and it's a free 3000+ EXP, plus what you get from the Ambipom and Rapidash.
