Default One Breath from Immortality ~ A Card Captor Sakura RPG ( STARTS! )

From the beginning of time, powers known as ‘magic’ by many, was passed down through one blood line, one human of that blood line would inherit his parent’s magic, when the magician of the family passed away. That man or woman would thus give birth to the next mystic in line, and thus the magic would continue to live on. Famous magicians through out the history of time each belonged to this bloodline, magicians like Merlin were tasked with the world’s magic for only a short period of time before it would pass on to their first born. That is until it came to the magician known as Clow Reed.

In the late 1800s, Clow Reed’s life was drawing toward’s a end, he had no child to pass his magic on to, and with in weeks his death would bring about the end of magic. Having seen the horrors of a Civil War while living in America, Clow retreated to Japan to live out his remaining years. Now bed ridden with his pulse faint and his breathing shallow, Clow reached out to a deck of Tarot cards sitting at his bedside. With his final breath he channeled his magic into the cards, creating a new set of cards in which the magic of the world would be sealed in.

As his soul left his body, one last spell was whispered from his mouth. The spell created a book in which the cards would reside in, as well as a guardian which resided with the cards tasked to choose the next one that would inherit the cards…

    One Breath From Immortality

Place your trust into fate, and let the wind guide you

A Roy Karrde and Classy_Cat Production

It has been over one hundred years since the Clow Cards were created, those that believe in magic have long since considered them a myth, a fantasy in the same league with unicorns and dragons. You and your friends are completely unaware of what a Clow Card is, or the unlimited power they contain. All you and the others care about is finishing a fifth grade history project before it is due the next day.

Meeting up after school, you and your friends travel to the Tokyo Public Library to find some way to complete the project. There among the stacks of books you find one labeled ‘Clow’. Almost drawn to it’s presence, one of you opens it, and unleashes a vortex of wind. Cards fly from the book, shelves of books come tumbling down upon you, and overall havoc ensues. When the dust clears each of you is holding a weird card, as well as a small key chain. Something that looks like a beanie baby is hovering above you, telling each of you that you are all now tasked with saving the world from the force in which you unleashed.
Each one of you has become the next Card Captors

Yet that isn’t all, when there is light, there is darkness, for every yin, a yang. The magic world is no different; when the cards were released a long dormant blood line was awoken in several unsuspected children, many of whom are in the same class as you. They are called “Brimstone Captors.” Taking the name from the old verse of “Fire and Brimstone”. They are not tasked with capturing cards, instead they wish to use the cards to only create chaos.

When they feel a card, they can be identified by the Yin/Yang symbol within their eyes, their right fist will turn black as they look to find the card spirits. If they are able to hold the spirit down long enough to touch it, the spirit will become rabid and dangerous, bent on mindless killing and destruction. Making it even harder to capture, worse yet they can do the same to the Card Captor’s own spirits by grabbing them when they are used, or by grabbing the card and infecting it.

    ~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~

Now here is where the basics come in, everyone gets four cards total. One that you start out with, the other three you catch. For the Brimstone Captors you start off with one card and only get that one card through out the whole journey. Your job is more designed to cause damage and havoc at the scene. For Card Captors you get your choice of two strong cards and two weak cards from the list below to make it fair. Linked to each card is a site that tells you what that card does.

    Iwata, Misaki

It was nighttime, a cold chill in the air as I stood on top of one of the downtown buildings. I clutched a wand in my hand as cards fluttered around me. My heart pounded in my chest as I looked up to face Tokyo Tower in the distance, something was happening, something big, something that would determine my fate, as well as the fate of others.

“I’m not going to wait any longer.” Megumi growled, stepping past me and to the ledge, her foot poised for a leap.

“Megumi wait!” I called out, rushing forward, my arm outstretched to grab hers.

She jumped, leaping from the rooftop, barely out of my arm’s reach as I tumbled forward. I let out a sharp scream as my foot caught on the roof ledge before I tumbled off of it, plummeting toward the ground below. I let out one last ear-piercing scream, as everything seemed to slow down, my friends rushed to the edge of the roof, a look of terror and shock in their eyes. Megumi turned and looked in horror, and my own scream seemed to slow down, fading into the sound of snoring?

“Wha?” I opened my eyes finding myself back in the classroom, Iyanari-sensei’s face next to mine with a mischievous grin across his face.

I let out a quick scream, falling out of my chair in shock as the class giggled, all of their eyes cast in my direction. “Maybe if you weren’t sleeping all the time Kiwata-san, your group’s project would be ready to turn in.” Iyanari-sensei walked back ever so nonchalantly as I picked myself off the ground. “You may sit on your desk when you get back from the bathroom cleaning the marker off your face.”

“Marker?” I touched my face, feeling the wet ink on my face. Megumi giggled in her seat next to me, sliding a marker under her desk. “Baka.” I growled giving her head a shove as I passed her.

    ----------

As I dabbed my face with a wet paper towel, the memories of the dream begun to surface again, everything was so vivid, so realistic. I could remember every small bit in exact detail in a way that I never could with any other dream. I dropped the wet paper towel and reached my hand out, imagining the staff in my hands again. The cold surface of the light metal rod. The way the dim light of the surroundings reflected off of it.

“I’m not going to wait any longer.” Megumi’s voice echoed in my ear.

In the mirror my reflection changed, transformed to that of a book with a lion head on the cover. “Misaki..” The lion head on the cover whispered.

“WHA!” I screamed stumbling over myself as I rushed out of the bathroom, slamming the door shut with enough force that the noise echoed down the school hallway.
    ----------

“Everyone stick together, and do not leave the library with out speaking to me first.” Iyanari-san surveyed all of us as we stood inside the Tokyo Public Library. We all chimed in with a ‘hai!’ Iyanari-san gave a nod before pointing toward a staircase leading toward the library’s basement. “You have one hour to spend on research so use your time wisely.”

My eyes tracked over to some of the older girl students in my class, swooning over the boys as they paired up to go look for books on their project. I crossed my arms defiantly and narrowed my eyes in disgust. “Those girls are so stupid.” I grumbled, walking down the steps to the library’s basement, Megumi, Inyanari-san, and a few others in tow.

“Why? Because they are traveling around with those boys?” Iyanari-san chimed in as we rounded the stairs and into the smelly old basement.

“Of course!” I shot back, releasing some pent up anger over the stress of the dream. “They are ugly, stupid, uninteresting, hopelessly pathetic, dirty, dumb, disgusting, and just plain stupid.” I explained, my voice rising higher and higher.

Iyanari-san chuckled as a few boys that had followed us down shot me looks of disgust and went off looking around the basement shelves. "Oh... You mean they have cooties?" He asked, a slight smirk on his face.

"Of course! I mean look at how they eat!" I grumbled, grabbing a few random books off a shelf, flipping through them with a look of disinterest before continuing on.

"Well... THOSE boys I would agree with you on. But they aren't all like that! Do you think I have cooties?"

"N-N-No of course not.... older boys are... kind of cool."

"Heheh! Aren't you the cute one!” He laughed mwssing my hair. “I'm sure you'll change your mind in a few years."

    "Never, Ever, EVER"

It was then when Megumi decided to open her big mouth "Oh brother. She's just saying that because she can't get one of those guys!" She laughed. My anger finally boiled over as I gave her a strong shove, sending her tumbling back into a bookcase.

With a crack and groan the bookcase lunged forward, sending books tumbling over upon both of us. “WHA!” Both of us let out a scream as Iyanari-san grabbed Megumi and me, shoving both of us out of the way. The next thing I knew, I was laying on my back on the ground, my hands clutching a book, Megumi at my side and Iyanari-san picking himself up off the ground as books tumbled off of him.

“Is everyone okay?” He asked, helping Megumi onto her feet.

My eyes remained fixed on the book; it was the same one as I had seen in the mirror: a red book with a lion head on it, clasped shut with the words ‘The Clow’ written across the front of it.

I rose to my feet, walking away from Iyanari-san in a daze as I walked over to a table and sat the book down, my eyes transfixed upon it. “Hey everyone… come look at this.” I spoke up as everyone gathered around me. My fingers grasped the clasp of the book as I slowly unbuckled it and opened the cover.

Just to make sure everyone knows Misaki calls Iyanari-sensei, Iyanari-san since they are out of school.

Alright everyone! The book opens and basically a shock wave knocks everyone down, the cards go scattering and fly out of the library except our starting card, which will either appear in your hand, or you can catch as they fly past you. For the Brimstone Captors, the moment the book is opened you will feel it! I hope this is an okay post, and please the purpose of this RPG is to have fun! Lets just have fun, no fighting, no bugging, just have fun ^_^

    "Kishimoto? Kishimoto- san?"

"Oh my dear, me dear! Why are you sitting over here when the rest of the class are searching materials for their project?"

    "Where is your group?"

A gloomy voiced shadow spoken out as it covers my entire face.

    "Hmmf?"

I blurted out for a little, before shifting my butt a little to my left as I sat on the library couch and positioned myself while I am still in dreamland.

"No more hmmf, Kishimoto! IF YOU ARE NOT PARTICIPATING IN THIS PROJECT, DON'T YOU KNOW THAT YOU WILL FAILED IT?"

The sensei hushed out with great emphasis on the 'project' itself.

"'Could you just quieten down a bit, Iyanari-sensei? For goodness sake, haven't you just realized that we are still in the library?"

Removing the book from my face, staring at the form teacher, I merely gave him the smirk that could irritate him for a lifetime.

"Besides even if I failed this project, no one is going to care about me in the first place! I would not be staying back over here for another year to repeat since we still have the final examinations to boost our marks right?"

"Yes, you are right, Kishimoto! But then you would have to know that this project is still part your semesteral grades. Whether if you do not wish to participate it or not, I am still going to have you joining in."

Grabbing my left arm, the teacher strode at huge paces towards the direction of the Iwata twins.

"The ladies over there is short of another two more members. You could do me some justice by teaming up with them, don't ya?"

Reluctantly, I had to followed Iyanari-sensei as we moved towards the twin's direction.

Name: Iwata Megumi (last name first)
    Age: 10
    Sex: Female
Description: Four foot five, hard brown eyes, and dirty blonde hair that she wears in a long braid. Despite her pretty appearance, she's a tomboy that is rarely seen without a patch of dirt or a grass stain somewhere. Outside of her school uniform, she wears a gray T-shirt and baggy blue jeans. Because of this, few know that she has a very lean body given to her by her love of gymnastics, although she also has enough muscle to knock around bullies.
Personality: Being the more athletic Iwata, Megumi is more like her sister than they think. Although she's far from bubbly, she can be as loud as Misaki if not louder. This is when she's arguing with or insulting someone, when she's excited about something scary or action-packed, or when she wants to get her sister's attention. Other than that, she's quiet. She has a knack for taking care of others when they're sick or injured, even when they're strangers. She's protective of Misaki and anyone that threatens her will be on the receiving end of her fists. She loves a good challenge, even if that challenge is risky.
Battle Costume Description: A lover of comfort, Megumi's costume consists of a pair of red divided hakama (kimono pants) with a lotus blossom decoration on the outside of the right leg and a white long-sleeved haori (jacket). She wears tabi (divided toe socks) and zori (grass sandals) on her feet.
Staff: In pendant form, it's a simple five-point silver star. In wand form, this turns into a long silver staff with the star on the end, only bigger.
    Starter Card: Through
Capture Cards: Silent, Freeze, Shot, Lock, Fight
Capture/Release Yell: "Gotcha, ____!"/"____, show yourself!"
Other: Besides being Misaki's sister, she also knows how to roller blade and owns a pair similar to Misaki's, but prefers to not use them while capturing cards. She also carries around an MP3 player.

Baka. She's sleeping in class again. Maybe I'll teach her a lesson. I pulled out a marker and smirked at Yui, who narrowed his eyes at me. He wasn't a fan of my pranks on Misaki. I ignored my own pang of guilt and quickly drew a pair of glasses around my sister's eyes as soon as the teacher's back was turned.

"Iwata Megumi, I believe you have forgotten the concept of karma," Iyanari-sensei told me with his back still to me. I froze and smiled in embarrassment while the class snickered.

Iyanari-sensei then walked to Misaki's desk and nudged her shoulder. Misaki promptly woke up and fell out of her seat with a startled cry. Once again the class laughed, this time with me. The teacher pointed out the marker on her face, encouraging another giggle from me. Not surprisingly, she shoved my head on her way to the restroom.

Then everything got weird. Well, weird again. As soon as the laughter died down, my mind wandered to the dream I had last night. Unlike others I had, I could remember every detail. But the feeling it gave me was uncomfortable. It seemed so real.

The dream haunted my mind even when we were at the library hours later. Misaki was complaining about the guys, Yui was forced to join us, yadda yadda yadda...

Something was bugging me too much. Misaki wasn't helping.

"Oh brother. She's just saying that because she can't get one of those guys!" I spoke up. That shut her up. It was almost worth the shove into the bookcase.

Iyanari-sensei pushed us out of the way just in time. Yeah, almost, I thought as I brought myself out of my daze. My eyes shot to the old looking book that Misaki now held in her hand.

    "The Clow".

    "Leave my sister alone!"

"What is that?" I asked Misaki as the others gathered around her. As she unbuckled and opened the book there was this moment of eerie silence...

    Don't open that book!

    "Leave her alone!"

There was a few seconds of peace as we stared at what looked like a deck of Tarot cards. Then, like a cave full of bats at twilight, they all flew out and swarmed. The room was full of our screams. I opened my eyes and snatched a card out of midair, then ducked until the rest of them went out a nearby window.

Misaki choked back a sob and got out from under the table. She was also holding a card. Everyone in the group was. "Everyone okay?" he asked the class. Scattered replies of "hai" followed.

I looked down at the card I managed to catch. It wasn't a Tarot card, at least as far as I know. "The Through," I said to myself.

"What's The Fly?" Misaki asked me. Then she looked at my other hand. "What's that you're holding?"

I opened my other hand. It was a simple star pendant. I stared at it until Misaki showed me her new piece of jewelry. We were all buzzing, only snapped out their awe when yet another source of awe zoomed in front of our eyes.

"Attention, Cardcaptors!" the plush toy yelled.

    Name: Iyanari Etsuya (癒業越夜)
    Age: 32
    Sex: Male
Description: Etsuya is a middle-aged man, but still continues to hold an enjoyable air around him, especially for his students. He has medium length straight hair that falls to his chin with bangs that barely hang into his milk chocolate eyes. His hair was formerly auburn in color, but has become slightly lighter in color as gray has slowly made its way in (which, as most parents, jokingly blames Naoko for). Etsuya stands a modest 5’3”, but also has a sinewy body. Normally, this middle-aged teacher wears semi-baggy, mockneck sweatshirts, usually in solid, warm colors (though white is common as well). His pants usually include khaki or olive green carpenter pants; sometimes jeans on rare occasion. Sneakers are his everyday choice of footwear. He wears the staff pendant on his left hand, along with his wedding ring.
Personality: Being a teacher, Etsuya has a kind-hearted personality that is strangely enhanced by his love and occasional use of sarcasm and subtlety. He often has a warm, inviting smile that most people enjoy seeing, but he also has what some may call ‘fearsome punishment’, merely in the combination of his smile and his choice of suiting punishment to the crime. In actuality, he smiles because he wants to keep people happy, but some end up taking it the wrong direction...
Battle Costume Description: Stashed away in the storage cabinet in his classroom, Etsuya has a cape he keeps carefully hidden in the back. It’s a dark hunter green with golden edging with the Clow Reed circle embroidered on the back (in gold as well). The collar is high, coming up to his nose and falling to his knees, but is open in the front, only being held together by an inverted, golden fleur-de-lis brooch, brought home as a souvenir from a business trip by his wife.
Staff: His staff is a 3’ solid steel, gold-plated rod that has a 2” black glass ball in the end and is topped with another 5” black glass ball held in place by 6 large, talon-like clasps. Protruding from one side of the base of the larger ball is the metal outline of a fleur-de-lis (which acts as the 6th clasp for the ball). From the smaller ball is a ribbon of black glass with a deep green stripe that openly wraps up the staff once, creating a sort of double-guard hilt. As a pendant, it is a small black glass marble that dangles from a wax cord with green zanfirico beads and gold-plated steel bearings.
    Starter Card: Libra
Capture Cards: Voice, Dark, Create, Shield, Illusion
Capture/Release Yell: Capture: “Magick, quell thy power and become mine own! Shibaru! ________!”
Release: “Spirit that resides within, be mine aid and come forth! Hanatsu! ________!”
Other: Etsuya is father to Naoko (治子) and is the teacher of the students’ 5th grade classroom. Like his daughter, he also has a love of video games. Etsuya’s wife, Yui (遺), is a business and is usually out of the country on various trips.

I looked up to the small clock I kept in my class room; it was almost 1 o’clock. “Ok, minasan! Let’s start our math lesson for today. No textbooks, though... We’re going to learn Roman Numerals!” Several groans and moans came from the students, while others seemed excited. This was a normal for any classroom. “So, raise your hand if you’ve heard of Roman Numerals before.” A number of hands popped up. “Good! Now, we’ll start with something simple.”

I started writing letters on the board and the students took notes. Every once in a while, I’d throw out a number and have a student come and write it on the board. Surprised at how well everyone was doing, I started testing them a bit. “Let’s flip it around now! What is MCMXCIV? Kiwata-san?” I questioned the young girl, but no response was heard “Kiwata-san....?” I said in a quieter tone. Looking at her desk, I found her head down in her arms, a pair of glasses drawn on her face with marker, presumably by her sister. “Iwata Megumi, I believe you’ve forgotten the concept of karma... Regardless, class, how does VII seconds sound before I wake her?” I reminded her, then falling to a whisper. Starting a countdown with my fingers, everyone followed along and continued as I snuck closer to the snoozing student. A few giggles started to stir and I brought by finger to my lips to help stifle their laughter.

“III......II......I......” That was my cue! I bent over into Iwata Misaki’s ear and made an obnoxiously loud snore as I nudged her shoulder. Jolted from her sleep, Kiwata-san turned to see my face within inches of hers; she lost her balance and fell to the floor in a loud thud as the chair toppled over with her. Boisterous laughter filled the room as the girl’s face turned bright red in embarrassment. “Maybe if you weren’t sleeping all the time, Kiwata-san, your group’s project would be ready to turn in.” I strolled back to my desk and turned around to face Misaki as she lifted from the linoleum floor. “You may sit on your desk when you get back from the bathroom to clean the marker off your face.”

“Marker?” she inquired, feeling and smearing the ink on her face. Grumbling under her breath, she shoved her sister’s head in frustration as she walked past her, towards the door.

Closing the door behind her, I turned back to the class once again, “Anyway! About this MCMXCIV? Who wants to try? Okonomiyaki-san, please write the answer on the board!”

    ~.:-*-.[+].-*-:.~

After class today, I was to escort my students to the Tokyo Public Library. I had assigned them all small group projects that were due next week, but some of them needed a little ‘guidance’ to get the job done on time; how I ended up with not only my own daughter, but so many rebellious students this semester, I’ll never know. At least they kept things interesting, though.

We finally arrived at the main doors of the library. Just inside, I had everyone gather around me. “Everyone stick together and do not leave the library without speaking to me first.” Nods of agreements and “Hai”s were heard from all around and I directed everyone to the nearby descending staircase. “You have one hour to spend on research, so use your time wisely.” I informed them as we all went to the library’s basement.

As normal, Misaki seemed distracted by something: a group of older girls in the class. They seemed to be whispering to each other and then teamed themselves up with a couple of boys. It seemed commonplace to me, but Misaki chimed in, “Those girls are so stupid.” I could resist poking at least a little fun at her comment.

“Why? Because they are traveling around with those boys?” I questioned her, intrigued at what her answer might be.

“Of course! They are ugly, stupid, uninteresting, hopelessly pathetic, dirty, dumb, disgusting, and just plain stupid.” She grumbled aloud, her voice succumbing to a higher tone of anger and unmistakable jealousy. I let out some light laughter to her naďve comment.

“Oooh... You mean they have cooties?” I smile of interest spread across my face. As I lead the conversation forward, we had reached the basement hall with all the research material most appropriate for the children to use.

“Of course! I mean, think about how they eat!” She grumbled, mindlessly flipping through a book she happened to pull off a nearby shelf. Thinking about her statement of evidence, I nodded my head in agreement.

“Well... Those boys I would agree with you on, but they aren’t all like that.” I pointed out to her. “Do you think I have cooties?” At this point, the question begged to be asked and my anticipation of an adolescent response was at its edge.

“N-N-No, of course not...! Older boys are... kind of cool.” She exclaimed, and then dropped to an embarrassed whisper.

I let out a relieving chuckle as I came to the light of this discussion. “Heheh! Aren’t you the cute one?” I laughed a bit more, mussing her hair with my hand. “I’m sure you’ll change your mind in a few years.”

    “Never ever, EVER!”

I smiled and looked down at her, but caught another student from the corner of my eye. Kishimoto Yuisuke was reluctantly sitting on a nearby sofa in the corner, seemingly in a daze. As I walked over, he shifted himself to a more comfortable position. He was one of the defiant students I mentioned earlier, but that could be expected as, not only was he a foreign student, but he probably should have been in the next year up.

Finally approaching him, he seemed reluctant to participate in the project; completely uninterested in dealing with the assignment all together. Unfortunately for him, I couldn’t allow this and up his arm after a short argument. “The Iwata twins are short two more members. You think you could do them a little justice this time around, don’t ya?” I asked, guiding him over towards the girls.

They had moved to another bookshelf further down while I was talking with Kishimoto-san. As I turned the corner, I heard Megumi make a cocky remark to her sister. “Oh, brother. You’re just saying that because you can’t get one of those guys.” This finally brought Misaki to the breaking point with her sister. She turned to her and gave a violent shove, knocking Megumi into a shelf next to the wall. The recoil from the impact shook every book on the shelf, causing a number of them to lurch forward.

”Crap!” I thought to myself as instincts took over and I rushed forward. Giving a strong thrust, I pushed the Iwata girls as far as I could as the books toppled down on top of me. I fell to the floor, pummeled by volumes of encyclopedias and other reference material.

I pushed myself out of the pile and made a small groan of pain as I stood up. “Is everyone okay?” I questioned, especially concerned about Megumi, who I had unintentionally knocked to the ground. As I helped her up, she nodded in response, but her eye, like mine, was quickly drawn to a strange book that Misaki had picked up. I read the title on the book aloud. “The Clow...” The name sounded old, but familiar; as if I’d heard it in another text I read before.

“What is that?” Megumi inquired as Misaki unlatched the clasp on the front. The other students in the class had gathered around us after the commotion, many of them just as curious about the book as the three of us were.

The spine cracked a little as she opened the cover. Inside was a recess, in which what looked like a deck of Tarot cards had been hidden away. ”What is this? It looks like something from a science-mystery movie...” But before anything else could be said, a burst of energy came from the book as the cards fluttered from the book and scattered around the room, spinning and floating about as they declared their freedom. Many of the students fled around corners and under tables to avoid the plethora of paper rocketing around the room.

I slid around the backside of a bookcase, where I was ‘approached’ by one of the cards. The small ribbon along the bottom read “The Serenity,” but it flashed with light and vanished before I could see any more. As I looked to the right, I saw Naoko run by. I grabbed her by the arm and pulled her into the aisle and embraced her protectively, letting her fall into rank next to me. Suddenly a couple cards shot towards us, looking for an escape from the confined basement. Each of us grabbed one as they passed by. “What the heck are these?” Naoko questioned, looking at the card in her had.

“I...don’t know.” I replied, my mind puzzling to find an answer, but within moments, the cards dissipated almost as quickly as they had appeared; the entire ordeal, which seemed to last several minutes, had only taken several seconds. I turned to my daughter, crouched down to her eye level, and set my hand on her shoulder. “You good, Nao-chan?” She looked at me and smiled. The card in her hand read “The Arrow” and I looked to see what mine said... “The Libra”

“Tou-san, what’s that in your pocket?” She pointed to a small, round lump protruding from my thigh. I reached into my pocket and pulled out a small marble which was dark in center and clear at the edges.

I shrugged and shook my head, “I have no clue... But it looks like you have something too.” I pointed to her other hand.

Letting her examine the trinket, I stood and walked back to where the whole thing began to check on the rest of the class. Everyone looked fine as they each came out from their hiding spots; only a few students were left in the basement. ”The rest must have run back upstairs to get away.

It wasn’t what you would call a cramped space, then again after nearly two hundred years your perspective of what is cramped, and what is normal changes quite a bit. Not to mention that they could have at least opened the book of Clow once and a while to clean the dust that had collected on it.

“What was that? Do you hear that?” Windy spoke up, as I let out another sneeze, rubbing my nose with a paw as sounds filled our cramped space. “It sounds like children.”

“Children?” Serenity asked, idly pushing me over to the far side of the book as she got closer to the seal to try and make out the noise. “Wait… it’s not just children, can you feel that aura?”

I let out a slight growl of annoyance, grabbing both of their magical essences. “Both of you, get back into your cards!” I snapped, pulling them away from the seal and toward their cards.

“They are close, they just might…” Windy spoke, just as the world went utterly white in a flash of light and power. The seal was broken! We were free, after so many years we were finally free!

“Attention, Cardcaptors!” I announced at the top of my lungs as my eyes came back into focus, I was surrounded by a group of children, each of them having a shocked and befuddled look. “Hey everyone come out and meet the new Cardcaptors!”

There was no response, but then again I didn’t care, the overflowing joy I was experiencing pushed every other concern out of the way. “What… who are you?” One of the children asked.

“You are the descendents of Clow Reed’s blood line, related through cousins, sisters, brothers. But now you have released and been given the strongest force of magic known to man!” I cleared my throat, having practiced the speech for over fifty years. “Clow Cards!” I gestured toward the book.

“You mean these cards?” One child held up.

I nodded and made one more sweeping motion. “And these!” I added, much to their curious eyes, with looks of questions across their faces. “What is it? Did Fiery get Serenity dusty again?” my mouth held open as my eyes finally saw the book, it was empty, completely devoid of cards.

“Where is everyone?! Serenity? Windy?” I flew around the room, buzzing between the children as I searched around. “ANYONE?!” I screamed at the top of my lungs.

When I finally settled down, the children had only managed to get a hold of a handful of cards. A total of only around seven out of over fifty. “Oh great this is just great.” I shook my head in sorrow. “Everyone else flew away, they could be anywhere, causing untold amount of mischief.”

“So you mean all the other cards…” One child thumbed a finger toward a wall, obviously meaning in the outside world.

I nodded sadly, placing my hand in my paws. “Out there, causing havoc, destruction, doing what ever they want after being cooped up for so l…” My words trailed off as I my ears twitched. A dark shadow was beginning to approach, every instinct in my body was telling me to run. “We have to leave.”

The children, as well as the adult man, looked around shocked and confused. “We have to leave NOW.” I cried out, feeling the shadow come ever closer.

For Card Captors: We can all head back to the school, you can talk about cards or anything else. If you want Li can give each of you individually your staff as we walk, if you wait then he will give everyone else one when they reach the class room.

For Brimstone Captors: You suddenly have gotten a information dump, imagine suddenly remembering everything after being amnesic for so many years. You will know about Clow, your powers, as well as have all three cards in hand.

For Cards: You have just been released! Have fun! Try to find your place in the world as you are suddenly thrust into the 21st century!

And please guys, lets get some post going please!

Burning with the flames of Perdition

I frowned, watching the pathetic people that were part of my 'group' for the research project. I'd already gathered and organized all the materials for the project, since I couldn't trust the chatty twerps to do what they were supposed to. I'd take them home later and construct everything, it's not like I could trust them... or anyone else... maybe Misaki, but she was the exception, not the rule. I watched as the two, a known boy and girlfriend, walked off amongst the stacks. Good, they wouldn't get in the way.

Then, I felt it, elsewhere in the library. A force, so.. familiar... Images, information, ideas began to flood my mind, like a dam breaking, I could feel the power so clearly, felt three fragments of it come close, two strong, one weaker, and I snapped my arm out, snagging them from the air. It was like waking up from a dream, where once things were clouded, murky, unclear, I now saw the world perfectly, I felt, knew the power that I had.

I felt it flow throughout me, a part of my skin, hair, blood, part of every cell in my body. I flexed my fingers, almost as if they were entirely new. The cards in my hand... that fool, Clow, had put his power in such a vessel? So easily manipulated... so wonderful, and now... I knew what to do. I had the power, I could shape the world with the chaos I wielded, bring it to its knees, and shape it into a world where everyone would be nice, kind, and treat each other well. I turned, noticing my partners looking at me, scared. I smiled.

I found my pendant in my hand. I gave it the mental command to take its true form, and I held up a card. "Show me your power, Erase. Rob them of their memories." using my power, and hitting the card with the flat of the card, I unleashed its might upon them...

I frowned at the drooling husks it'd left behind, I'd have to be more careful next time, putting my pendant around my neck, I put the cards in my bag, and rushed to get an adult, putting on my best 'panicked' look.

Chapter 2: Dark revelations – Tainted Heart

“Everybody, what are you staring at? Why don’t we help Iyanari sensei instead?” The class president yelled out. However, Iyanari sensei had already climbed out of the pile of books. Standing up soon after that, he questioned.
    “Is everyone okay?”

“Hai!” I raise my right hand in response to the teacher’s question and took a swift look at Megumi.

“Thank goodness, she’s okay! What about her sister?” With that I swung my head to Misaki’s direction and noticed that she had a book on her hands.

“Misaki, what is the book that you had on your hands?” Still amazed by the book, Misaki will merely tilt it slightly towards Megumi and my direction to show us before she begin to unbuckle the latch of the book.

What happened within the next few seconds was hell as far as I could remember. There was a few seconds of eerie silences before the book itself unleashed a whirlwind, which caught many by surprise. Chaos flooded the entire library floor in the History section as what seems like Tarot cards whip up a hurricane and blew destructively. This effect forces much of the students to flee for their lives.

Some of the students dunked under the tables, while some others ran all around the place. As far as I could remember there is a small bunch of students that ran up to the first floor

    ** ~ **

“What’s that? What’s happening to me?”

I bend downwards on all four. For a moment, my head aches like hell. It is as if someone is prying my skull open and pouring boiling oil into my brain. For that single moment, it does seem like eternality had passed.

In a split second, the world had revealed itself to me. The life I had been leading till now is a fake. My parents on why they were implicated, the ancestral bloodline that runs within me and the heirloom that is bestow to me. For that every instant, my childhood began to open up before my eyes.

    ** ~ **

My real name is Zhuge Wei. Or it used to be before I migrate over to Japan.

I have learnt nothing about my ancestors from my dad except that I informed once that I belonged to the 8th generation of Zhuge Liang, a military strategist under the era of the three kingdoms. With that much historical family background since young, I was educated and taught fencing in order to be bred as an elite. I was too taught in the arts of ancient Chinese magic and how my role in society places as a Brimstone Captor.

My dad was an upright communist government official and had always reject the idea of shadowy business approach by the local county businessmen. However one of the rejections may have gone too far, with that my dad was charged with corruption even though he was innocent. Being in an undeveloped part of China has its disadvantage, there was not an efficient judicial system and with no proper jury to pass the judgment. My dad was not even given a chance and was hanged the day after.

My mom who had been too used to being a housewife could not take the harsh reality, left me with a kind neighbor. She too disappeared with false promises made to me that she would be back. Subsequently, I was handed to an orphanage. It was like until two years ago, the Kishimoto couple came over and adopted me. Before the papers go through, I met up with my real mother the day before I am supposed to move over to my new home.

Reduced to a state where I could no longer recognize her, she wore an overly exposed gown, is constantly paranoia and had a funny body odour. To add to what seems to be already a disgusted state, she smokes cigar and her hands are shaking constantly, a sign to me that she could be on drugs.

“Wei, I am so sorry that I couldn’t keep up my promises with you! Mommy also has her own problem to take care of.”

Though crying as she spoke that, my heart melted with all the sorrows and hardships that were embedded within me for these long two years in the orphanage. My heart is ready to forgive but…

    “Wei, here take this.”

With her hands still shaking, she took out a watch that is wrapped in some old newspapers and thrust it onto my hands.

“My dad had always wanted you to have it. The local government had confiscated it and sold it away. I have no way of getting it back except to work and redeem it. But with no qualification, there is nothing I could do.”

She cried badly and hugged me tightly. Tears were streaming down her cheeks. And for a moment, I did not mind the smell but just wanted to have my mom hold me real tight for once.

“I have to go now or the local policeman will find out about me being here. The watch your dad has wanted to give it to you on your 12th birthday.”

That would be her last words before disappearing into the night shadows. My hands feel the watch and felt some weird cravings at the back of it. Upon turning it over, I noticed a word that it bears a striking resemblance to the hell hound, Cerberus.

    ** ~ **

Little did the classmates and Iyanari sensei knew what happen. An evil aura sprouts out due to a presence of a Brimstone Captor, originating from me, triggered Li’s instinct to call for a retreat.

“Yui… Yui…” A gentle but persistent voice forced me out from my childhood flashback.

“Cero!” I murmured out the named of my watch without a care of my surroundings.

“Huh?” With that comment, Megumi shook me hard and that jolted me out from the blank look that I had on my face as Misaki giggled in one corner with Clow’s book still at her hands.

“Ouch! What is with that, Megumi?” Still in dazed after that unprovoked shaking, I paced myself and got up from my feet. “You had been day- dreaming for a second there! You sure you are okay with it?” Megumi expressed her concern to me. “It is okay!” I walked unsteadily as it does seems like I have temporary lost my sense of balance.

The moment I looked up, I found myself being forced to move on along with the crowd back towards the classroom.

During the retreat, Megumi and me was like behind the crowd and she was chatting to me. I did not pay much attention to it since my head is still wondering about the reason behind the flashback. The evil aura has vanished by the time the crowd move back together the classroom.

“What happened, Yui? You seem dazed out.”

“No worries, it might be the fact that the inter- school fencing competition is just around the corner. The stress must be taking up a toll on me. You too, Megumi, the girl’s team had just qualified for the finals and it must also had been hard for you juggling between two clubs. ”

I reassured Megumi while packing my bag.

“Well, I will head down to the club now. There is not a need to worry about me!”

With that, I left the classroom and moved steadily to the club, leaving behind a worried Megumi.

    ** ~ **

“Yuisuke won!” squirm the ladies as they crowded outside the club.

Removing my headgear, I simply chose to ignore the attention and move out of the match grounds in the process met up with an angry teammate.

“Yui! How many times must I tell you to never play your thrust towards your teammate?”

“You should put the blame on yourself, Rico! The team has never been playing seriously. The only reason on why we are still in the finals is because I won the last team match up against Sekai Elementary School.”

I defended my actions and shrugged off Rico before moving towards the washroom. Little did I know, Rico had surprises sprang out for me there as he smirked behind my back.

    ** ~ **

    “Get him! Get him!”

I was thrown onto the toilet wall and assaulted by a group of my club mates. Beaten much badly with a broken arm and bleeding face, I looked up at them and smiled in order to irritate them.

    “What’cha smiling for? Bitch faced?”

Rico smashed his fist onto my nose, causing it to fracture.

“Hah, now I do understand what the flashback was about and why do I have to wait till I am twelve.” Simply puzzled by my speech, the assailants looked amongst each other, trying to figure out on what I had said.

    “Cero, Hatsudo!”

Without a moment, I pulled out my magical weapon from the watch and struck Rico twice on the face.

“Don’t you want your existence to be erased?” I replied with a menacing tone. Rico looked up and was scared to his pants. Standing in front of him was a Yui with his left eye’s pupil changed into those of Yin and Yang symbol. The rest of the group shrieks and hastily retreated, leaving behind Rico.

    Name: Iyanari Naoko
    Age: 11
    Sex: Female
Description: Naoko stands at the average height of 4’4’’ with a lean, slender build. Her dark red hair reaches just past her shoulder, her bangs framing her face and her fringe parted to the left, often covering her eye slightly. Her eyes are basically the same milk chocolate brown as her father, although tend to look slightly more of a hazel colour. Other than her school uniform, she tends to wear whatever she feels comfortable in at the time, whether this is a scruffy old pair of jeans and a hoodie or a knee length skirt with leggings and a jacket, she never seems to stand out particularly, although she always seems to be wearing her favourite pair of grey/silver converse.
Personality: Naoko is a rather quiet girl, although not to the point where she is ignored. Generally, she is cheerful and pleasant to be around, with great listening skills and a high tolerance to those that she may not totally get along with. She enjoys all forms of art and has a large collection of sketch books and materials. Despite this docile nature, she is extremely competitive when it comes to computer games. She likes most genres, but especially RPGs. She often struggles with the puzzles and hates asking her father to help her.
Battle Costume Description: A cosplay outfit of Sheena (click meee) from Tales of Symphonia. However, the white shirt underneath is a lot less revealing (lol busty Sheena...) and the boots are replaced by her converse. She also ties up her hair into a similar style, although often messier.
Staff: Clickie! The star glows a different colour depending on the card that she uses (the arrow card being purple).
    Starter Card: Arrow
Capture Cards: Jump, Watery, Firey, Light, Twin.
    Capture/Release Yell: / “I summon you, ___!”
Other: Etsuya is her father, Yui her mother. She finds she gets on better with her father as he is her primary carer, although she often gets embarrassed by him at school as he is her teacher and sometimes likes a little time to herself.

    ~Iyanari Naoko~
Naoko had chosen to sit quietly at a table in the basement whilst the rest of her group had been assigned to find some resources. Of course, it was her job to illustrate, and was therefore quite happily sketching away, although not necessarily on task. She looked up from her work to find her Tou-san cheerfully teasing the twins. She smiled, she loved seeing him so happy, but soon sighed, wishing that she had a younger brother or sister to play with.

She was disrupted from her work when she heard a loud crash. Closing her sketchbook, she turned around to see Tou-san and others crowding around a book. She decided to stay back, this was obviously a situation where he had to take more of a role of sensei to the rest of the students. The book, however, did intrigue her. As the contents of the book began to spill into the world, she felt compelled to take cover, although couldn’t move. She remained still, panicked by the flurry of cards flying directly at her. One collided with her chest, sending her flying to the ground, but when she tried to find it, it had disappeared. Confused, she ran towards the book, only for her arm to be grabbed hold of and pulled into cover behind a bookshelf.

She relaxed as she fell into the protective embrace of her father, her previous state of panic fading quickly. Two cards shot past them, Naoko was determined that this time she would not let them escape. She reached and grabbed the first one she could, noticing that Tou-san had taken the second. She frowned as she read the ribbon at the bottom. “What the heck are these?” She asked, holding it up higher so that he could read it.

“I... don’t know.” Tou-san replied, his expression showing that he was trying to find an answer for her. Instead, he chose to crouch down beside her and rest his hand on her shoulder. “You good, Nao-chan?”

She smiled and nodded, reassured that there was still room inside of him to care about her too in the class situation. “Tou-san, what’s that in your pocket?” she asked, pointing out a lump about the shape and size of a marble in his pocket.

As he took it out and studied it, he shrugged his shoulders and shook his head. “I have no clue, but it looks like you have something too.” He pointed to her other hand.

She stared at it, completely and utterly confused. The object she held consisted of two crescent moons, one bigger than the other and facing in opposite directions. The smaller moon on top contained a small glass star, completely colourless.

As Tou-san lead her out from their hiding place, she only half listened to the conversation they were having with a small, yellow cat with wings. Could this get any more bizarre? It flew around in little circles, yelling at the top of its voice that we had to leave, and quickly, before something came to get them. She didn’t understand how small pieces of paper could cause so much trouble...

These look like tarot cards... She thought, as she followed the others back to the class room. Maybe this thing means that I can summon things like Sheena! That would be so cool! She held onto her card and moons for dear life, excited at the prospect of being like Sheena.

As they arrived back in the classroom, the remaining handful of students took their seats, including Tou-san, as the little cat named Li attempted to explain the situation. He talked about our weapons, a staff, that we would each receive and how we must use the cards we already have to capture more.

“Excuse me, Li-sensei?” Tou-san interrupted. Naoko found it strange to be hearing him call someone else sensei... He held up the marble he had found before. “Is this a staff? Nao-chan and I...”

“Yes, they all have smaller scaled forms...” Li continued, but Naoko’s mind stopped listening to the rest of what he had to say. She already had a staff? Excitement began to boil over in the little girl as she took the trinket from her pocket.

She looked between Li and her Tou-san and once she had convinced herself they were in too deeper conversation to notice her, she whispered the word “Release”, as Li had instructed. The staff grew quickly in her hand and she hid it beneath the table. She took a glance underneath before quickly swiping her card from the surface of the table. She tapped the card gently with the moon end of her staff and whispered “Arrow!”

There was a brief flash of light beneath her feet before the card disappeared from her hand, the table toppled over, as did the chair she was sat on. She stared at the ceiling, confused. What had she done? A girl with pink hair and purple clothes came into view, holding a bow and arrow, looking down at Naoko with her head tilted to one side and a small smile on her face.

“NAOKO!” Uh-oh... She was in trouble now. She covered her face with her arms before catching a glimpse of the girl pointing her bow and arrow towards her father. “Nao...”

“Don’t hurt him!” She yelled from beneath her arms, still clutching her staff. “Arrow, don’t hurt him! I’m sorry! I’m sorry!” She wailed, tears beginning to fall down her cheeks.

I made a mistake in my first post, the Forgotten has actually never been sealed in the Clow, and has been around since the burial of Clow Reed. Anyway enjoy Misaki meeting Ryuuki otherwise known as the Forgotten ^_^

    Iwata, Misaki

As we stepped out of the warm light of the library and into the harsh light of day, I half expected the apocalypse to be displayed in front of my eyes. To see Tokyo in flames, the streets running red with blood, and cards bouncing all around in the air as they shot laser beams.

As it turned out all of it was just my imagination, the world continued to spin, even after we had unleashed whatever cards used to belong in the Clow book I now clutched. It was almost as if we were the only ones that knew what had happened. “Everything… looks normal?” I took a tentative step onto the sidewalk, gazing around with curious eyes.

“Well I may have exaggerated a bit.” Li laughed, perched on my shoulder as I shot him a glare.

“Now now, lets all stick together on the way back to class.” Iyanari-san chimed in, placing a gentle hand on my back to guide me on the path back toward the class. As long as remained outside of the classroom I refused to call him sensei, much to the cringing of some fellow students. “Little Cardcaptors need to stick together.”

I changed the target of my glare up to Iyanari-san as it dawned on me that he also was a cardcaptor. “Hey Li, isn’t Iyanari-san a little old to be a cardcaptor?” I snickered a bit, knowing the embarrassment Iyanari-san was feeling.

Iyanari-san shook his head in annoyance, a light blush on his cheeks as he moved his hand up to my shoulder. “Why can’t you be a proper lady like your sister, and walk back to school talking to a friend?” He gestured over to Megumi, knowing just where to push my buttons.

If there was one thing that I hated, that I could not stand, was Megumi suddenly having something I didn’t. Seeing her walking along with her friend, her boy… friend, just made my blood boil. How could she walk, and talk, and act so casual with… with a BOY!

I shifted the Clow book around so that I could bring both of my hands up to my face. “Hey Megumi!” I shouted, she lifted her eyes to look at me, a look of shock and terror coming across them. “Megumi and Yui sitting in a tree K-I-S..”

“LOOK OUT!” Li screamed, flying off of my shoulder just as I turned my head. I was able to see a split second, or even less, of some looming object in front of me. In one uncontrollable step, my momentum carried me forward, sending me into the object, and then rebuffed by it as myself and the person were sent flying onto our butts.

“What did I walk into?” I mumbled, rubbing my sore nose as I regained my senses. Across from me, the object, the person I walked into was actually a teenage boy, not too older from myself. His beautiful light blue eyes looking directly into mine as he picked himself up off the ground. “I-I’m sorry.”

He smiled ever so slightly as he reached out to me with his hand. I felt as if I had just lost my breath, my entire body felt light, and I could hear my heart beating in my ears. “It’s my fault, I should have watched where I was going.” He apologized as I took the hand, with very little effort he lifted me up off the ground and back onto my feet.

“Misaki are you all right?” Iyanari-san called out for me, already half the way down the block with the rest of the class.

“Yeah..” I called back, Iyanari snapping me out of the haze that my mind had plunged into after hitting the boy. “I..I need to go..” I quickly shook my head, grabbing the Clow book, as well as my cell phone, which had flown, out of my pocket.

“I’m sorry if I hurt you!” I added, stumbling backwards, nearly tripping over my legs, before turning and rushing back to the group.

I skipped along as I rushed back to rejoin my class, a slight bounce with each step. The boy… the one I had rushed into, he had the most beautiful eyes I had ever seen, and his face… his face was angelic. “Thinking of some one?” Iyanari-san snickered as I realized that I was actually thinking about a boy…

I shook my head in frustration, clearing my thoughts. I would not, could not, think of a boy as cute! They were disgusting… but those eyes… those beautiful eyes…

Default Re: One Breath from Immortality ~ A Card Captor Sakura RPG ( STARTS! )

    Name: Choji Okonomiyaki (Card captor)

    Age: 11

    Sex: Male

Description: Standing at 5ft 2, 65 kg. Choji is a big boy with a distinctive scar above his right eye. Outside of school Choji wears brown trousers and a black top. Choji can be seen always carrying a backpack filled with manga, normalshonen manga though secretly Choji has a thing for shojo manga, particularly magical girl manga and carries a few of those manga at the bottom of his backpack. His backpack is a Neon-type green which clashes badly with his uniform and normal clothes. Choji also walks with his head constantly forward.

Personality: Choji appears to be a incredibly lazy person that will usually never participate in anything and barely even talks to anyone. While also sometimes appearing brash, Choji is a bit of a loner who is a manga fanatic with a huge interest in magical girl (Maho Shoujo) manga. Though he hides this part from himself, he will usually be seen either sleeping or reading a shonen manga. Choji lacks confidence and thus his stature whether sitting or standing or walking clearly shows that he lacks confidence. Another side of Choji is that he is the oldest of five children, something that is strange in Japan, and Choji is often taking care of his siblings due to his father having an overseas job and his mother who is often sick. Choji clearly loves his siblings, but because he doesn't have much outside time, manga was an outlet for him and an escape. Choji enjoys helping and taking care of others, but often Choji does not help himself.

Battle Costume Description: At first Choji's battle costume is all back, including a complete black mask. Although, later Choji will be seen wearing a Neon green canopy and a Blue hat with black underneath.

Staff: Choji's pendent which he has around his arm normally resembles what many would consider a watch, with a series of seven black dots and seven white dots.

Choji's staff is blue with seven black dots and seven white dots with two red lines towards the top.

    Starter Card: Sleep
Capture Cards: Dream, Glow (I'm not having a second powerful card)
Other: If eating, Choji is eating okonomiyaki

    --------

“Thank you for helping out your siblings dear, I will need you to look after them when school is over as I have a doctors appointment”. Choji Okonomiyaki’s mother said to Choji.

“You know me mother I will always help out when”, Choji replied instantly to his mother.

“You are a special boy Choji, allow others to see what great qualities you have”, Choji’s mother stated lovingly touching him on his wide broad shoulders. “I will try mother”, Choji with a red face replying to his mother.

Choji always cared deeply for his mother and while, he often felt that the requirement to look after his siblings meant that often he was shy and did not really get on well with others. Thus, Choji descended into the world of manga with a particular fetish for maho shoujo manga or magical girl manga.

    *****

Transformation complete, Star fire burst forth and cleanse the world of this evil. I shall now use my sleep card………..

“Anyway! About this MCMXCIV? Who wants to try? Okonomiyaki-san, please write the answer on the board!”

“What oh yes ok Iyanari-Sensei”, I Chojo Okonomiyaki replied as I thought back to my maho manga and how wonderful it would be to have a sleep card.

    *****

As usual Iyanari Sensei made us go to the public library and work in threes which I always hated as it meant actually talking to others.

“Okonomiyaki”, hurry up and get to work you lazy bum”, replied Clara an annoying girl who thought way too much of herself.

“Hey everyone… come look at this.”, Misaki Iwata spoke, being her usual self disruptive as always. It was at this point, that my life seemingly changed forever for this book, that Misaki Iwata opened would change not only mine but many other peoples lives in the process.

    *****

I am knocked down, by a shock wave as a series of flashes and noises descend the room. Its like I can tell people are around me and yet I feel alone, and transfixed as a card, one solitary card that looks like so many of the magical cards in my maho manga books. As if destiny is really striking down, my heart beat ever beating faster, in a daze I somehow slip away from where I think others are, this transfixing solitary card following me. I see a corner away from everywhere else. As a attempt to sit down in a real daze, my eyes slowly adjust to seeing this card.

“A card”, I whisper to myself still with my heart beating fast and yet everything seems to be in slow motion. The card stops, my heart beat slower, I’m still dazed. The card reveals itself. The Sleep Card. A thought seemingly rushes to my brain. A Sleep card just like the lovely and awfully cute girl who shows her panties in some of the more risqué pictures. Yes Star fire has a Sleep card. And yet this card, looks like Star Fire. Am I dreaming?

I can’t be dreaming, I realise this is not a dream and yet I feel so dream like, like the card is taking over. The card seemingly comes alive as I see Star Fire looking right at me. “I’m feeling sleepy, very slee….”. Soon I descend into a deep sleep.

    *****

“Okonomiyaki-san, Okonomiyaki-san” I hear Iyanari-sensei call out at me, after what seems to be days of eternal sleep. “Wh, Wh..what Iyarnari-sensei” I reply. “Its time to go back to class you have been sleeping, and you are late”, Iyanari-sensei replies. As he looks at me, its like we both know something happened today in that classroom.

As I slowly walk back towards class, and even though I was seemingly in an eternal sleep, I know I saw a bear like creature that flies and I know Iyanari-sensei, Misaki and several others heard. Li must be his name, I heard him say something about we must be going and yet perhaps whatever this card is knew that if asleep and hidden, that I would be safe. I have so many questions and so many answers I wish to find out and perhaps this for me can be a new starting point. I only ponder these thoughts.

    *****

“So how was class today son”, my mother replied.

“Just lovely mother, just lovely, you were right about me being special mum”. I replied cheerfully to her.

Somehow this will be a great journey, and yet somewhere I feel darkness, but at least I have an opportunity to start a new, with possible friends and Star Fire, the character with her pink panties that is in my favourite maho shoujo manga ever is by my side, as The Sleep Card.

    Name: Jerry Akiwara (Brimstone Captor)
    Age: 12
    Sex: Male
Description: Jerry is rather large for his age, weighing in at 175 pounds roughly, while still keeping to the basic twelve year old height of four feet six inches. Due to his large frame, he wears black sweat pants, a white t-shirt and a black zipup hooded sweatshirt, which he normally keeps un zipped. His pants have deep pockets, which he keeps several things in. His hands are normally in the pockets on the front of the sweatshirt
Personality: Despite the rather fearsome moniker of Brimstone captor, Jerry is really quite cheerful. He believes that life is not something that you should suffer through, but enjoy. Nothing ever gets him down for very long and laughs hard and loud at most jokes, though he can’t tell one to save his life. He delights in the chaos cause by being a brimstone captor and while he would rather not kill people, he is not squeamish about it. He is heir to a rather unusual family fortune that was created solely from a bit of saving held by his great-great-grandmother. It was passed down to the most responsible member of each generation, to insure its responsible use and growth. The fortune today contains over 2 million dollars, though Jerry does not know exactly how much there is. His mother died in childbirth and his father was killed by a rather odd accident involving a viper and a shotgun. The only two people who were ruled capable of caring for the family fortune were Jerry and his 28-year-old cousin Dei Akiwara. Die is current holder of the fortune and Jerry’s official guardian until Jerry comes of age. His cousin, while financially responsible, is not a good parent and does not watch Jerry closely, which has lead jerry to view materials that give him a rather adult and obscure sense of humor (Kept PG 13) Currently home schooled, though he is allowed to run round most of the day while his cousin is at work.
Battle Costume Description: Same thing he usually wears, but with his hood pulled up. Shadow obscures his features making him hard to identify
Sword: A pendent in the shape of a spider hangs around his neck, with rather sharp pointed teeth. When released, his sword is a Falchion, which he has named Immaterium
Starter Card: Shadow. (Sand and Move)
Other: In West Philadelphia born and raised, on the playground is where I spent most of my days. Chillin’ out, maxin’, relaxin’ all cool and I was shootin’ some B-bal outside the school. When a couple of guys who were up to no go, started makin’ trouble in my neighborhood. I got in one little fight and my mom got scared and said, “You’re movin’ in with your Aunty and Uncle in Bel-Air.

I whistled for a cab and when it came near, the license plate said fresh and it had dice in the mirror. If anything I could say this cab was rare but I thought naw forget it “YOU HOMES TO BEL-AIR”

I pulled up to the house about seven or eight and I yelled to the cabby “YOU HOMES SMELL YA LATER.” I looked at my kingdom I was finally there, to sit on my throne as the prince of Bel-Air

If Jerry could be said to love three things, they would be his cousin, freedom and books. Then again, all three were so intertwined in his life that they could very well be the same thing. With his cousin gone all the time and generally being an inattentive (though still fairly caring) “parent,” Jerry was able to roam all around without supervision. Jerry + boredom + nearby library meant that he read a lot.

As it happens, that was what brought Jerry by the library at the same time as a grade school class. He quickly ducked behind a bookcase to prevent the teacher from seeing him. Teachers always seemed to think he was some delinquent, just because he did wear a uniform belonging to the school he didn’t belong to. Stepping quickly towards the section that held fiction, Jerry scanned the rows, looking for the next book in the Haruhi series.

“Volume four, volume five, volume six, volume eig… crap,” Jerry sighed, no wacky antics tonight. He meandered around for a while, careful to avoid students. Uninspired by the choices offered in fiction, Jerry moved towards non-fiction. Maybe there was something there that he would find interesting.

Luck was being especially cruel that day, as Jerry wandered into the class he had been so dutifully avoiding thus far. Mentally prepping a defense against the teachers inevitable questions, jerry began to look around.

As luck, coincidence, fate, or flying spaghetti would have it, Jerry was on the opposite side of the room when the book case fell over and the book was opened. Which was all the better to conceal the fact that he collapsed in a pain and nearly pissed himself.

Images, ideas, philosophy, lives, deaths, pains, pleasures, color, sound, black, white, images, pain, fire, smoke, light, darkness, stillness, movement, pain, burning, freezing, dry , wet, pain, images, images, images, pain, pain, PAIN, PAIN, PAIN!!!!

    Nothing

    Nothing

    Nothing

Jerry hated waking up in general. He much preferred to remain asleep. This preference doubled whenever he really didn’t want to get up. It tripled when he was stiffer than a bored from being unconscious on a library floor for an hour. The librarian wasn’t helping, what with her talking and prodding and general bitchyness. Still, it was her floor and he should be getting home.

“Quit your proken woman I’m getting up.” Thankfully he said this in English or else he might have had a very angry librarian on his hands. As it was, she just asked him if he was a tourist.
“No, I live around here. I’m not really sure what happened, I must have fainted somehow. I’ fine now though.” Jerry stood up and dusted off his pants, not that they needed it, but it seemed the right thing to do. As the librarian walked away, Jerry smirked and bit his thumb at her. The lie had come so easily, so fluidly, even he had believed it for a bit. Until the memories came rushing back, clear and vivid and real.

Chaos, pure unadulterated chaos. That was his goal and his pride and his purpose now. Destroy the dull and the mundane and grant freedom from the oppressive order.

Or raise some hell. That was good to.

As Jerry made for the exit, something caught his eye on the floor. Three Clow Cards, ancient and magical. He bent down and examined them. Shadow, Sand, and Move. Resting atop them was a small pendent shaped like a spider. As he picked up the small trinket, Jerry touched the fangs on the front. They bit into his flesh easily and he flinched, but did not drop the pendent. Gingerly he slipped the jewelry around his neck and picked up the cards with his other hand.

As Jerry pocked the artifacts there was no confusion. He knew what they were, what they did, and most importantly, how to use them. As Jerry breathed the afternoon air, he searched his new memories and facts. There were more. More cards and more people like him, bringers of fire and brimstone. They were the chaos to Clow’s delicately crafted order, yin to their yang, Asha’man to their Aes Sedai. They needed each other. The captors would stand together and take each of them down, as was their nature. Find the other and find safety. Safety, and more cards.

Jerry ducked into an alley, making sure no one could see him. Carefully he pulled out the shadow card from his pocket with his left hand. Closing his right eye, partially for concentration but mostly for effect, Jerry willed the card into activation.

The alleyway came alive with tendrils black and rippling, moving with a grace and fluidity that befitted water more than shadow. Smiling t his success, Jerry relaxed

“Well Shadow, shall we look for my peers?” Jerry sensed more than saw the positive response. Without a second though he stepped into the shadows and was gone from the alleyway.

    (School Bathroom)

Jerry winced as he watched from the light shadows. That punch to the nose had to hurt badly. Still, it seemed to do the trick. The Brimstone, whoever he was, had activated his power. Jerry squinted carefully, trying to take in every detail of the boys face. They were going to need each other soon and Jerry didn’t want to get the wrong person. Delighted at his first find, jerry entered the shadow once more, searching once more.

    (School Hallway)
The second one was less of a find and more of a calling. Jerry hadn’t actually seen her use her powers, but the damage on the kids had clearly been done by erase wiping their brains. Well, the clarity might be a bit murkier for the paramedics, who had no knowledge of magic, but Jerry though somewhat differently. She was one to watch out for, but she was needed. This fight would be serious and this chick was serious business. He memorized her features as well. Noticing that she went to the same school as the boy. Perfect, all the eggs in one basket. Except for him, the home schooled fat kid.

    “I wonder?”

“Hey Die, would it be okay if I started to attend a public school? I meet some kids at the library that go there and they were really cool. Plus, it would be a whole new experience for me, which you are always saying I should find. And you won’t have to pay tutors anymore. Please Die, I really want to go.”

As he watched the gears turn in his cousin’s head, Jerry knew it wouldn’t be long.

Lets get together ya ya ya, lets get together.

    Iwata Megumi

The day felt like one weird dream that I couldn't wake from. It was difficult concentrating on gymnastics practice; I almost fell off the balance board twice. Then I zoned out during the coach's lecture about keeping my eyes on the prize.

"He was so cute..." Misaki said dreamily as we walked home together.

"Huh?" Once again I was in my inner world, putting together the pieces of today's event puzzle.

My sister pouted and put her hands on her hips. "Megumiiiiiii...you've been like that since we got back from the library! Why are you so mopey?"

"Sorry." I scratched my head. I couldn't tell her what I really was thinking about, how worried I was about Yui. She would only start making fun of me. "That plushie...Li. Will he be fine while at school?"

"Yeah! Some of the class gave him some food before leaving! That Li's like a black hole!" She giggled as she pulled me by the arm. "I bet you're jealous of that guy who spoke to me!"

"You mean the killer pretty boy?" I said in a serious tone.

    "What? He's no killer!"

I rubbed my forehead. Here it comes, the whining and shouting and eventually a sissy fight. "How do you know? You just spoke to him for a minute! That's not enough time to know what he's like!"

"You're so mean!" She shoved me around, not really trying to hurt me. I ran from her all the way home.

Later we sat in my bedroom, both of us studying our keys and cards. "Li said that we need this to seal the cards. How does it work?" I asked Misaki. As soon as I said it, the pendant glowed and grew to a beautiful staff. The silver star on the end of it wasn't even attached.

"How did you do that?" Misaki said in awe.

"I don't know..." I glanced at The Through, which was a picture of a woman passing through a hole. Remembering with Li told us, I threw up the card and struck it with my staff. "Through, show yourself!"

A bright light shone right before I felt the floor below me vanish. I screamed as I fell through the hole created and onto the couch downstairs. Misaki peered down from our room and sighed in relief. "Well, we know what your card does," she told me.

I laughed in embarrassment. "Next time I should tell it what to do when it comes out."

Sorry I didn’t post earlier, I was waiting for a member to post, but that didn’t really turn out.

    Iwata, Misaki

I peered over the hole, my fingers clinging to the edge as my body trembled in fear. If there was one thing I absolutely hated, was heights. And now as I leaned over the hole, thoughts of the entire floor collapsing filled my mind.

“Mom is going to be so mad if you cannot fix this.” My hand slipped and I tumbled head over heel over the edge, my hand catching the edge of the ceiling before I could drop below. “HELP!”

“MISAKI!” Megumi screamed, scrambling to her feet below, quickly grabbing her wand and the card. “Through… umm… stop it.”

By her command the hole in the ceiling begun to seal, my fingers were pushed aside, one by one as the hole closed, until at the last minute my finger slipped and I fell below. “Me..” I could barely get out before slamming into the couch below.

Megumi rushed to my side as my heart continued to beat rapidly in my throat. My breath came out shaky and in short gasps as my eyes remained fixed on the ceiling. “Are you..” Megumi peered over me, touching my hand.

Hugging my sister was something I always avoided, I mean she was my sister, hugging her was disgusting, and yucky, and I would rather hug a boy. But at that moment, in one single motion, I rose up and hugged her as tight as my arms would let me. We remained that way for a while, I wasn’t sure how long, possibly minutes, possibly hours.

When we did, it was as if the world around us had vastly changed, the lights would dim every few seconds, and the wind roared outside, beating against the house louder than any storm that I had ever experienced. “Is it a storm?” I asked as Megumi rushed to the window, peering outside.

“The sky is clear…” She mumbled in shock as I joined her at the window. Outside branches whipped around, leaves swirled in the wind, and debris tumbled around in the air. But there was not a single cloud in the sky, and off in the distance the city glistened totally undisturbed by the windstorm.

“It’s a clow card.” I whispered, I had no idea how I knew it, but it was just something that I could feel in my bones. Megumi raised outside, sending wind howling through the house as I struggled to follow her out the back door. “What do you think you are doing?!”

“I’m going to capture it.” She held her staff defensively as I searched my pockets for my own pendent.

“How? By opening holes for it?” I asked as Megumi shot me a angry look. I closed my eyes and concentrated, shutting out the wind, shutting out the pain as it rushed through my body and hair. When I opened them I was gripping the staff in my right hand and holding my card in the left.

“And how are you going to stop it?” She asked as I threw the card out into the air. For a second I expected it to go flying backwards, tumbling off to who knows where. Instead it hit a magical barrier, remaining fixed in the air as wind rushed by it.

“FLY!” I commanded, hitting the card instinctively as two wings blossomed from my staff, the wings grew magically, becoming as full and beautiful as angel wings. Small pieces of magic glistened in the air as the wings gave a few flaps.

Megumi backed up in shock, looking at me with wide eyed wonder as I flipped the staff around and climbed aboard, wrapping my legs around the staff and clinging to it for safe keeping. “I thought you hated heights?” She asked, I gave the staff a short kick and it rose, jolting off into the sky as I screamed at the top of my lungs.

With each meter the staff climbed in the air, the tighter I gripped it, my hands clung to the metal rod until my knuckles turned white. My eyes clinched shut till I thought my eyelids would sink to my teeth. “This is such a bad idea.” I cried out as the wind started to become painful, cutting at my hair and cheeks till it drew blood.

Suddenly the wind just stopped, as if some one had just shut off the ceiling fan. To my left a voice giggled playfully, as a gentle wind stroked the blood off of my cheek. “Wha..” I opened my eyes to see a beautiful woman with the wings of a angel, and long flowing hair flying right next to me.

“You’re… a clow card?” I gazed in shock and wonder, my mouth hanging open as the woman nodded.

“DON’T LOOK DOWN!” Megumi cried out from below. Of course I looked down, and when I did what I saw nearly caused me to wet myself, I must have been a hundred meters in the air, below me every one looked like ants, the houses no bigger than tiny rocks.

I let out a quick scream and clutched the staff even harder before turning my attention back to the clow card. “Can we possibly talk about this below?” I asked, my voice coming out hoarse and weak. The woman laughed and shook her head no as she flew around my staff, gazing at me from all different angles.

“Maybe at a lower…” My attention shifted to a bolt of lightning which sprung from the streets below, the lightning was black in color, and radiated a type of energy that caused me to shutter. It wrapped around the Clow Card, constricting it and binding it. The card screamed out in pain, as it’s skin turned a sickly color of gray, and then a darker tone of black. “Are you o..”

The card broke free of the lightning; a glint of anger in it’s now blackened eyes. A smirk quickly crossed its beautiful face. The card pulled it’s arm back, making a fist, and then swung it forward. A blast of wind swirled from it, the wind stronger than anything that I had felt before.

And in the blink of a eye I was no longer holding onto my staff, one second I was clinging to the staff, the next I was in a free fall, tumbling back toward the Earth.

“MEGUMI!” I cried out in fear, as the ground seemed to get closer and closer with every heart beat.

Okay everyone can start catching their first card! There are three Brimstone’s out there to wreck hell and havoc while you are doing it though. So have fun!

Chapter 3: The beginning of a full- fledged war

    “It’s a full moon tonight!”

I told myself as I glazed upon the night sky. Part of me wanted to stay in bed, while the other part of me remains awake as though a wild animal’s instinct has been triggered.

“Why are we here again, Mato-san? You promised me that something adventurous and exciting is got to happen around here that is why I hung out with you.”

Peering into my watch, I unexpected focuses my attention back towards my ‘so-called’ comrade. Together with her unexpressive facial features and the sheer cold and silent night environment, I was almost put to deep sleep. I nodded off a little and soon cuddled myself into one corner of the twenty-storey building.

    ** ~ **

“Where am I this time round?”

This is the second time in my entire life, losing conscious and having no memories of what had happened earlier. I tried to sit up and found realized a female stranger was by my side all this while.

“So you are finally awake? Sheesh, I did not realize that my comrade would be that weak. You have been asleep for at least five hours now. School had practically ended and everyone had gone home.”

The lady stood up and headed straight for the exit of the nursing room.

“Hey wait, wouldn’t it hurt just to identify yourself to me? And what is with this ‘comrade’ thingy?”

I shouted out without a moment to lose. From that moment, I regret what I had to say. The mysterious lady exert out an evil aura that suppressed the atmosphere around me.

“What sheer supernatural powers!” I thought to myself as the pressure continues for five seconds.

“Scared enough? Well at least, we the Brimstone Captors are able to exert a minimum of this power.”

She went on to explain the situation further.

“For the time being, take a rest. I have already took care of the pests that has been bothering you. This would be the last time that they would mess around with you. I would meet you up three days from now when the moon is at its fullest.”

With that, she closed the door behind her and headed off, leaving me in serious doubt.

“Brimstone Captors? How should she know of it? And what is with that power? What is she going to do in the night that she mentioned for us to meet up?”

Before I knew it, the nursing teacher came by.

“Yui, are you alright now? Thank goodness, you were shivering when you are brought here by Sayaka.”
“Sayaka? Or do you mean Mato-san, sensei?”

I questioned the teacher to reassure myself.

“Silly boy! Mato-san is her first name, right? And she belongs to your class!”

    “She was?”

    ** ~ **

    “So there’s your prey!”

Mato-san smiled with satisfaction as her eyes stalked a couple that had been wandering around aimlessly.

“Mato-san, what prey are you talking about? All I see are people, not animals!”

Sayaka swiftly turned her cold looks towards me, striking fear into my heart, before explaining.

“The magical world is this vast food web, whereby the weak gets eaten up by the strong ones. In this dog-eat-dog world, we brimstone captors are in the top of the food chain. We are the predators and our preys are those card captors.”

Pointing her index fingers towards the two figures, I immediately recognized them as Iyanari- sensei and his daughter, Naoko.

“Our role in the food chain is to devour these preys by infecting their cards to fulfill our goals.”

Sayaka glanced towards me with a provoking look as I thought deep.

“My goal? Yes, my goal is to destroy the world, which robbed me of my parents. This evil world with its unfair system management has to be eliminated.”

    Sayaka continues.

“Whatever your goal maybe I would not know. But as for now if the war is still in the infancy stage, we should stick to each other as allies. You should have three of these cards!”

Sayaka took out three magical cards and exhibited them in front of me. I soon come to know that there are different cards altogether and as I took out one from my pocket. My one single card had the word, ‘Mist’, written on it.

“According to my sources, these two preys had your remaining two cards with them. Your mission for now is to retrieved those two cards and while you can perform your role as a Brimstone Captor to its fullest.”

“But those two are Iyanari- sensei and Naoko! Shouldn’t they be our friends too?”

    I reasoned back without hesitation.

“Naive thoughts, I see. Maybe this spell would help you to refresh your memory a bit.”

Sayaka muttered some weird language and performed some weird hand signs. And before I knew it, some evil aura begins to surge out from me.

“What have you done to me, Mato- san? Stop it! Argh….”

The pain with the aura enveloped me and before I knew it, the whiteness from both my eyes are soon consumed by the Yin and Yang symbol. The sudden burst of aura soon captured the attention of both Iyanari- sensi and his daughter from a distance.

“Haha, I did not know that you have such potential. Until we meet again, you shall fulfill your first mission. I will head towards my prey for now!”

Sayaka steps back and leaps off the rooftop, leaving me clutching down in unbearable pain.

    “The Iwata twins! Megumi!”

Those were my last thoughts before I lose myself to darkness again.

Iyanari-sensei ‘s instinct was on the dot. He paused for a moment when he sensed an uneasiness presence. Before he could make an attempt to escape with his daughter, the pair soon found themselves surrounded by layers of mist.

    “This couldn’t be…”

He muttered for a second. Naoko panic a little before she alerted her dad.

    “Oto-san, watch out!”

An extended fencing sword zooms out from nowhere and strikes Iyanari-sensei on his shoulder, harpooning through his shoulder blade, before it withdraws back into the mist.

“I believed you have what I want.”

A spine- chilling voice shrieked out, catching both card captors in shock and disarray.

It's been a while since I last posted. ^.^ Gomen guys! Exams and injuries had somehow stall my time from posting in this RPG. Roy reminded me last night and I had to post this before I head down to a specialist clinic to tend to my twisted foot.

Kalad1~ As spoken the last time, hopefully we could team up and kick some card captors' ass

Fai~ Yes as discussed the last time, Yui would now hunt for his cards and infect your team's card.

    Iyanari Naoko
    Field of Innocence ~ Evanescence

Once school was finished, the job was left for Naoko to clean the classroom whilst her Tou-san had a staff meeting. During this time, she had found a pair of Clow cards named Storm and Maze lying around on the floor. She had tried to make them work, just to see what happens, but neither seemed to respond to her. She began to become concerned; all those that had Clow cards in the library took them home and she hadn’t seen these two before... She couldn’t shake off this bad feeling that she had, even though when she showed her father the cards he said that nothing was wrong. He decided that she should look after the Storm, and he would take the Maze.

They had been walking home from the supermarket when it happened. A mist had surrounded them, Tou-san had attempted to escape it, but it seemed never ending. Although such a mist was unusual, Naoko had an uneasy feeling about what was about to happen. She could tell her Tou-san had the same feeling, but he seemed relatively calm.

    “This couldn’t be...” He began.

“Oto-san, watch out!” Naoko yelled, catching a glimpse of a small sparkle in the mist. By the time she had managed to fish her staff out from her pocket, it was too late. The blade had pierced his shoulder, the very end protruding from his back and swiftly returned into the mist, the bright and polished silver sword tainted with dark red blood dripping from its edges. She stared wide-eyed as a small patch of blood began to stain his shirt.

She could see he was in pain, but her feet remained firmly planted into where she was stood. Her hands began to shake as she reached for the card in her bag.

“I believe you have what I want.” A voice shattered the eerie silence that had fallen between them. Although it was extremely shrill in pitch, Naoko believed that she knew the owner of the voice, although she could not place it. She watched as her father’s legs gave way, leaving him kneeling on the ground, occasionally gasping in pain. She couldn’t bear it, she had to do something.

“I summon you, Arrow!” She called, Clow’s magic circle glowing brightly beneath her feet. The card disappeared and the Arrow stood before her, its bow and arrows poised and ready to strike as soon as the target had been identified. “I-I’m not sure where the voice is coming from...” She mumbled. “Please keep watch.”

Arrow nodded, unaware of the presence of the other person shrouded in the mist. Naoko moved closer to her father, allowing him to lean against her.

“Arrow!” The voice called as a bolt of black lightning shot down from the sky, engulfing the Arrow with a black aura. Its muscles tensed as its purple and pink outfit slowly began to turn black until all that was left was its glowing red eyes. The voice laughed. “Attack them!”

Tou-san quickly pulled Naoko to the ground as the Arrow turned swiftly around and fired a cluster of three arrows at them, barely missing her by a couple of inches. “Tou-san! Are you okay?”

“Nao-chan... Run.” He whispered, looking directly into her eyes. “I’ll be fine, I promise, just run.”

Naoko shook her head, tears beginning to well up in her eyes. “I don’t want to, they might hurt you more and-and I c-can’t-“

“Please...” He smiled at her, although his complexion was beginning to get paler. “Naoko! Quick! Run!”

She managed to get up just before another set of three arrows lodged themselves into the ground where she had once sat. “I bet you can’t catch me, Arrow!” She taunted, running into the mist. She sprinted as fast as she could, unaware of exactly where she was going. Another flurry of arrows, about ten this time, flew past her, one managing to rip the corner of her skirt and another becoming lodged in her hat. She looked over her shoulder briefly as she tripped over what looked liked a rabbit, stumbling to the floor and grazing her knees.

She turned around quickly, staring at the bunny on the floor. It had rather long back legs and feet compared to its front legs, it was thinner than a normal rabbit and had a tail like a cat. It glared at her as she grew closer. “Hey... You’re not a bunny are you?” She asked, it shook its head and whimpered. “Are you a Clow card? You have an arrow in your foot, did you know that?”

The Clow creature rolled its eyes and began to try and get its foot free. “Hey! I’ll help you! If I make you into a Clow Card, the arrow won’t be in your foot anymore, will it?” It placed its head to one side as she showed it her staff. “Okay, stay still. Although, I have no idea what card you are...”
She stood up, narrowly avoiding another cluster of arrows that flew over her left shoulder. She tapped the bunny-creature-Clow-thing gently on its forehead as the magic circle appeared at her feet once again. “Return to your card!”

The Clow creature disintegrated into a cloud of smoke and dust, the arrow remaining stuck in the ground and the card forming in the air beneath her staff. When the card had finished being created, the magic circle disappeared and it dropped to the floor from where it had been suspended. She dived to the floor, grabbing the card as another flurry of arrows came hurtling towards her. “Huh? Why is the bunny-creature called Jump?”

Another quick flash of the magic circle and the card had disappeared. She stood up quickly, noticing two small pairs of wings had appeared at her ankles. Naoko thought carefully about what this could mean before yelling at the top of her voice: “Hey Arrow! I’m right here!”

A burst of around 30 arrows sped towards her as she braced herself. If this didn’t work, it was going to hurt. A lot. As the arrows got within a foot of her, she jumped as high as she could, only to find that she kept going. The Jump card hadn’t increased her ability to jump by a couple of feet, oh no, it was more like 20 feet. As she hurtled back towards the ground, she found that it also allowed her to land perfectly on her feet. This, she thought, would be useful.

She followed the trail of arrows through the mist back towards where her father lay, gracefully jumping to avoid any more attacks. As the mist began to grow thinner, the arrow card came into view and its attacks seemed to become a lot more accurate. Naoko took one quick leap into the air, landing behind the arrow card and knocking its bow from its hands. She made another quick swing towards its head, knocking it to the floor. As it looked up at her, she pointed the end of her staff at the arrow’s neck as the star on the end glowed yellow.

“Don’t... You dare... Disobey me again...” She muttered, attempting to catch her breath. “Return to your true form, Arrow Card.”

As its true colours returned and it returned to it’s Clow Card, the star at the end of her wand turned to purple, then back to yellow and finally transparent as both cards returned to their card forms. As she wandered slowly towards her father, the mist began to thicken again, completely obstructing her view. She stopped, beginning to shiver as the air grew colder. A sudden gust of wind blew the mist away; she quickly looked around her to find their attacker, but nothing seemed to change. Once she had decided it was safe, she stuffed her cards and staff into her backpack as her skirt pocket had been ripped and ran full pelt towards her father.

Naoko kneeled down beside him, tears welling up in her eyes. She lifted his head from the floor and placed it upon her lap, in doing so noticing a distinct lack of blood on the floor. Surely there should be more, she thought, he had been stabbed right through the shoulder. Carefully, she unbuttoned the top few buttons of his shirt and examined the wound. She gasped, noticing the wound had almost completely healed, just leaving a rather noticeable scar where it had been and blood surrounding it.

“Tou-san... What happened to you?” She asked, a small smile of relief forming on her tear stained face. “Someone’s looking after us...” She muttered, stroking his hair as a nearby shop keeper came running towards them. “... Thank you, whoever you are.”

    Iwata, Misaki

My body flipped end over end, with each rotation the stars seemed to get further away and the ground closer and closer. My voice had already left me after my first scream; instead I was forced my fall in frozen fear. Down below I caught a glimpse of Megumi watching my plummet, her mouth was moving but I couldn’t hear the words, her eyes glistened with tears.

“Me…” I called out to warn her, my voice harsh and weak, and even if I could reach her, it would be no use. She had been able to shake away her fear and raced forward trying to catch me. “Don’t…” I tried to form the words.

I wanted to warn her, to tell her not to try and catch me, that it would kill her too. But at the same time I wanted to just close my eyes, to keep from seeing my death in these final seconds. In the tug of war that took place in my mind, fear easily won and I clinched my eyes and fists shut.

“Got you!” A male voice cried out, wrapping his arms around me, as we both continued to free fall for only a second, before being thrown into the ground. His arms sheltering me from the in pact as we both rolled end over end in the cold grass before finally coming to a rest.

“Misaki! Misaki!” Megumi cried, rushing over and embracing me in a deep hug just as I managed to rise to my feet. “You’re so very stupid!”

I rubbed my head slightly, the entire world spinning as my stomach rocked with nausea. “Who saved me?” I asked, turning to look at my savior only to find the spot empty, the only piece of him I could remember was his voice, a voice so familiar but at the same time I just couldn’t place a face with it.

“I don’t know, he just jumped from the roof..” Megumi explained as my eyes were drawn up to the sky to see the wind spirit laughing.

“Where is my staff?” I asked, glancing around the yard to finally find the staff lodged into the ground just a few meters away. “I have to capture that card..”

Megumi gazed at me in shock, grabbing my arm only to bring out a scream of pain as fire raced up my arm. “You’re arm is broken!” Megumi stepped back in shock, letting go of my arm as I ran over to the staff, using my one good arm to try and dislodge it from the ground.

“You are such a idiot.” She finally growled, standing behind me and using both of her hands to help me pull the staff from the ground. “Lets just get this done.”

I glanced back to her, giving her a small smile and nod as we both held the staff up to the sky. “Return to the card in which you came from…” I cried, a golden hue wrapping around the grass and our bodies as a card formed at the top of my staff, the star spinning around as various beams of light wrapped around the wind spirit, pulling it into the card.

“WINDY!” I cried, the card fully forming at the top of my staff, as the glow faded so did my eyes, all of the energy that had held me up for the past few minutes faded. And the last thing I remembered was collapsing into Megumi’s arms

    Choji Okonomiyaki:

School had been pretty normal for the last few days and Choji Okonomiyaki had almost forgotten about his Clow Card, or even anything that had happened recently. It was only one day as he was passing through the hallway at school, that he felt something strange. It was not until that night as Choji was searching for his latest Maho Shojo manga, “The Adventures of Mystery Warrior Lily”, that he found his pendent. He had forgotten about this pendent for a while now, but of this pendent was important as it was part of a staff. When opened the pendent would become staff. As he continued looking at this pendent he decided to wear it. As he put it on, he though back to that strange sensation he felt at school in the hallway that same day.

As Choji kept pondering this sensation that he felt earlier, he looked at his clow card, “The Sleep”. “The Sleep” is a powerful card with amazing powers that can cause people to go to sleep. In fact Choji knew this himself, as not only had it caused him to fall asleep. But one day as he was babysitting his siblings, his younger brother Chinjo was being a nuisance, and inadvertently Choji had tried his card out and indeed Chinjo had gone to sleep. As he reflected back, a thought came over Choji. “That was a Clow Card I know it was”, he muttered to himself.

He didn’t know why he thought it was a clow card, he just had this sinking feeling that it was. It was now becoming late, but yet Choji could not sleep, even though he had already eaten two okonomiyakis. He kept returning to the sensation he felt earlier that day and thought to himself. “I must capture whatever clow card that was”. With that, he jumped out of bed, looked through his drawers and put on dark black trousers, a dark long sleeved top and finally a black mask that his father had given him a while back, one day when he was at home for the holidays. Quietly he opened his bedroom door, walked down the steps to the door that leads outside and finally he walked out of the house.

Choji normally wasn’t one to sneak out at night; often he couldn’t, as he had to look after his siblings. But his mother was feeling better recently and this allowed him to sneak out. Fortunately, school wasn’t that far away, though he didn’t quite know how he would actually get into the school, he just knew that there must be a way to get in. The night was quite misty, and it wasn’t the warmest of nights and yet Choji felt relaxed. He was now at the gates of his school and Choji no longer felt relaxed, rather he felt fear. Choji almost felt like turning back home, but as he came to just a thought he thought about what the classmates at school would say. “Choji you are lazy, Choji go eat another Okonomiyaki”, the children would tease and laugh at him. No Choji may appear lazy but he was not lazy, and yes Choji liked his food but like the heroines in his favourite mangas, Choji was not a quitter.

As he climbed over the locked school gates, he felt that sensation coming back to him. The further he walked towards the front of the school, the more strong that sensation felt. “How to get in”, Choji muttered to himself out loud”. He knew sometimes, that when Naoko Iyanari was cleaning the room, that she would forget to shut the lower windows as the blinds often disguised them. If there were to be a way to get into the school, tone of the classroom windows would be his best chance. As he approached that side of the classroom, indeed he could see that one of the lower windows was open. “Naoko Iyanari is a lovely girl but she is pretty forgetful”, he laughed to himself though thankful that she was so forgetful. While Choji was a big lad the window was big enough that could sneak in with some room to spare and so it was that Choji was now inside his school. The sensation felt ever stronger.

    -------

    ------

Being inside his class at night felt strange. Normally there would be the girls laughing, some of the boys acting up and likely he would be slumped down sleeping. In would walk in Iyanari-Sensei who would tell us to, “Shut up, sit up and listen.” Choji looked around the classroom seeing the desks with no one sitting on them, yesterday’s schoolwork up on the blackboard and the art on the wall that leaned towards the hallway.

Choji knew that the hallway was open about sixteen feet away and yet it felt ever longer as he slowly stepped towards the hallway. The sensation felt even stronger now and as he came up to the door that leads directly to the hallway, he felt intimidated. More than merely intimidated, he felt scared, lonely and unsure of what exactly he would do when he found the Clow card. But no, he had to do it now, after all he had dressed up, sneaked out of the house and he had sneaked inside the school. Now was not the time to turn back.

As he opened the door of the classroom that led to the hallway, he was mesmerized by glowing orb like things that reminded him of the fireflies. Then as he walked down the hall, he saw the small fairy, her tail glowing. What a beautiful sight this fairy was. The sensation was strong, but he feared nothing as he saw this pixie. Something inside him, told him that this would not be a card that was powerful. Indeed the pixie seemed more scared of him than he was of her. The glowing orbs began to fall down like beautiful glowing flower petals and it was now time to capture this card.

Choji Okonomiyaki let out his cry, “The key that hides the powers of the dark, reveal your true form before me! I, Choji, command you under our contract. Release!”. Choji then cried, “I summon you, Sleep Card”. As the Sleep Card, came forth Choji commanded it to put the Glow Card to sleep. “Sleep Card please do your magic”. The Glow Fairy seemed more relieved than anything, and with that the Sleep Card let out dust like particles that soon put the small Glow fairy to sleep.

“Return to the guise you were meant to be in, Glow Card!”, Choji cried once more. And with that Choji gained a new card, “The Glow Card”. While not necessarily a powerful card, Choji was sure that one day, surely this card would prove to be valuable. Choji knew deep inside that things would soon change. Dangerous forces would come forth and the cards that are left out there would become more powerful. Choji began to walk back to home, leaving the school gates behind. Yes indeed, Choji knew danger would come soon.

    Iwata Megumi

"Baka, baka, baka..." I chanted as I practically dragged my sister back to the house. No doubt I would be blamed for her broken arm but it couldn't be avoided. No way would they believe the truth.

I struggled with the front door and hauled Misaki up the stairs and to her bed. "Maybe I should've taken you to the hospital, but that's too far. And who knows what else is out there?" I looked down at her unconscious form. "At least you're not complaining."

Misaki slept peacefully as we waited for our parents to get back. Eventually I got tired of the silence and turned on the TV in the living room. The newspeople seemed to have seen the weird stuff too. A chill went up my back while the cameras showed damage of all kinds. They were about to interview an eyewitness when the TV was muted. "Huh?" I pressed the volume and mute buttons but the sound didn't come back. "Must be the TV station." I turned it off.

The radio was also found to be quiet, no matter how much I messed with the volume and tuning buttons. A stronger chill was felt. For some unknown reason I now knew what it was. "A Clow Card is here. Right above me."

I flew up the stairs and flung the door to my room open for a big surprise. A woman (or a man, couldn't tell with the high collar) was standing in the middle with a faint glow around him (or her). I tightened my grip on my fully formed staff and held it like I was about to strike her with a baseball bat. "What the heck is going on here? WHO ARE YOU?" I yelled to her (I assumed).

She narrowed her eyes and put a finger to where her lips would be if they weren't covered by her collar. Oh, she wants me to be quiet. Fat chance! "You and your little friends are in SO much trouble," I growled.

My attack ended before it began. A hidden force knocked me out of the room and closed the door behind me. I rubbed my head in frustration until I realized something. "Oh man, Misaki's still in there!"

A warning siren went off in my head before I started banging on the door. I'll just be knocked back again. Could she be in there protecting my sister? My fingers found the Through card in my pocket. Maybe I could take her by surprise...

"Through, get me in the room," I whispered as I summoned her. A hole appeared by the door. I dove in with my staff in hand and quickly struck the quiet woman with it. "Silent, you're mine!"

The Silent seemed to struggle before being pulled into the materializing card. It floated into my hand, showing a picture of the silent woman. As luck would have it, my parents decided that then was a good time to get home. I prepared to explain what happened to Misaki.
