-Crunch
-Dragon Breath
-Earth Quake

I've got an idea, how about we draw straws, and the loser gets to run across the parking lot with ham sandwich!" - Steve (DOTD)
This is the one I was using
Earthquake
Dragon Claw
Fire Blast
Rest (I have a healbeller) or Crunch if you dont have a healbeller
I prefer Dragon Claw for the extra power.
And as for fire blast I use that one more because it only has a 15% accuracy difference and adds 25 power. But really it is a matter of personal preference.
ok flygon is pretty decent... if yuor gonna go with an attacking moveset id lean this way
earthquake
dragon claw
flamethrower
rest
@chesto
thats a pretty good one, but i think that the 30% chance of paralysis is worth the little weakness it has, and im very stingy with my tm's (dragon claw is out of the question for me, at least right now it is)
here's the one i use on my totally sandstorm resistant team,
-Sandstorm
-Crunch
-Dragon Claw
-Iron Tail
the iron tail is in there for an obvious reason and i think ill post my team for u ppl to see for ur rating pleasure!

yeah im pretty sure we wont like it... although if your gonna make a tss team put spikes on it... and get rid of all the sandstorms and get a tyranitar through the scanney thingamajig
-Sandstorm
-Crunch
-Dragon Claw
-Iron Tail
I would strongly suggest replacing Iron Tail with Earthquake. You get STAB and more accuracy not to mention Earthquake is super effective against the same stuff Iron Tail is and less stuff resists it.
I think he's referring to Ice types, which ground isn't strong against, or so I think.Originally posted by Darkchampion

heh flygon should run in terror when he sees an ice type. although you may hurt them with iron tail, they will OHKO you with ice beam![]()
my flygon:
dragon dance
dragon claw
flamethrower
earthquake
suggested combo...
dragon claw
earthquake
flamethrower
screech
In the 3rd Gen, Flygon spent a fair amount of time being measured against Salamence, who had superior stats and Dragon Dance. With the arrival of D/P, those things remain true, but its ferocity increased with the addition of Draco Meteor and Choice Specs. Needless to say, Salamence is a more threatening sweeper.Garchomp is a new addition, but it has the same typing as Flygon, better stats and because of Swords Dance, it is a far superior physical sweeper. Basically, Garchomp is a bigger threat than Flygon as well. But, things aren't all bad for Flygon. Unlike Salamence, Flygon has STAB on its Earthquake, and unlike Garchomp, it has Roost and a Ground immunity. It's also immune to Spikes, Toxic Spikes and Sandstorm and it resists Stealth Rock. Packing both a Ground immunity and a Rock resistance is very useful, and they let Flygon fill in some defensive duties on its team.
Way to bump a 5 year-old topic posted in by people who left this forum waaaaay before you came here.
Yeah, I'm closing this thread. If you'd like to start a discussion about the changes to Flygon and its usage now, please feel free to start a new topic. There's no need to revive an old one, though.
See you around the forums!![]()
