Default Legend of Zelda: Destiny of the Heart (SIGN UPS)

It was a quiet, peaceful night in Hyrule Castle, the kind of night where one could sleep peacefully without a worry or care.

However, tonight, not all were asleep. In fact, there was one who was still awake.

He slowly pushed the door open, not making a sound as his eyes looked over the room, passing over the hand maiden who was asleep in her chair and falling on the crib in the centre of the room. Slowly, he made his way over to it, his feet not making a sound against the floor.

    “Who’s there?”

The figure spun around to see the hand maiden slowly rousing from her sleep, her drowsy eyes falling on the dark figure standing next to the crib. The figure responded with a gentle wave of his hand, his voice almost a whisper.

    “Sleep.”

In response, her head fell forward as she fell back into deep slumber. A small smirk appeared on the figure’s pale face as he turned to the small infant sleeping in the crib.

The infant princess Zelda. She looked so peaceful in her sleep.

He held a hand above her. A dark aura began to surround it, as suddenly, the emblem of the legendary triforce began to glow in gold on the hand of the infant princess, the triangle on the left the only one complete, the other two merely outline. The child began to stir and whine, not crying, but obviously in discomfort.

Soon, the golden emblem faded from her hand and the small child resumed her peaceful sleep.

The figure looked at the back of his hand, as the golden triangle appeared on his skin and glowed a shining gold.

“The wisdom of Nayru is finally mine…” He whispered softly, lowering his hands. “Now, for the courage of Farore…”

    --------------/_\--------------
    ------------/_\/_\------------

Hyrule Castle wasn’t the only one enjoying a peaceful sleep. You were quietly visiting your dreams, whatever they may be, as you wait for the new day to begin.

However, this time, your dreams would take a rather interesting turn.

Suddenly, your little dream world begins to melt away, like paint being washed away from a wall. You suddenly find yourself standing in a room of glass, beautiful patterns adorn the walls, and floor, with no ceiling as it simply rises into the blackness. The whole room is bathed in colour, whether it be white, green, red, blue, purple, or yellow.

Suddenly, there is a flash of light, and a white figure is standing, or rather, floating, before you. You cannot make out their features, but what you do notice is the intense aura surrounding them.

“You must help us!” it speaks, its voice a blend of both male and female, with a sense of urgency, “There has been a great theft, and now the child of time is in danger!”

You’re a little confused by all this. Who was this being? A great theft? Child of time? What did it mean?

Before you can say anything however, the figure extends its hand.

    “Here.”

You suddenly find yourself surrounded by a similar aura. You look down at the back of your hand to find a circular design on it. You looked up at the figure, as if demanding an explanation.

“Take this gift. Use it to assist you and others,” it spoke, “Now, hurry to Kakariko Village. You must protect the child.”

Before you can say anything, your vision is engulfed in light.

    --------------/_\--------------
    ------------/_\/_\------------

You wake up sharply, finding yourself back in your room. Your mind continues to go over your dream. What was that figure? What did it mean? What could you do?

You then feel a strange sensation on your hand. You look at it and are shocked to find the same design that appeared in your dream. That was no dream you just had. It was a vision.

As you climb out of your bed. The figure’s last words echoed in your mind.

“Hurry to Kakariko Village. You must protect the child.”

Ok, before we can begin, a little explaining. There are six heroes in this RPG, each one blessed with a power of six of the seven sages. While the full extent of the plot will be revealed in time, for now, the heroes main goal is to get to Kakariko Village in order to protect the child the sages spoke of.

You are allowed to play villains in this. However, the main villain will be an NPC played by myself. Why? Well, I don’t want to give away any spoilers.

If you have any ideas for events that could happen in the RPG, feel free to pm me. Likewise, if I come up with a potential idea for your characters, I’ll pm you and we can discuss it.

Here are the six elements available. Only one person per element:

Light: The ability to control the power of light itself. To light up even the darkest of areas and use its power to strike at your enemies.

Forest: Dominion over the plants and the earth that they birth from. Use the plants to assist you in any means necessary.

Fire: Control the searing power of fire itself, you use its heat to burn away your enemies. Reserved by Crazy Elf Boy

Water: You have the power over the life giving element of water. Use it’s power to give life to friends, and to wash away enemies.

Shadow: The power of darkness itself. Us its power to shield your allies, and to confuse your enemies. Taken by Arnen

Spirit: The power of the spirit within. Use its power to strengthen your body and soul, and that of your allies. Weaken the strength of yours foes as well. Reserved by Houndoom_Lover

Ok, now that that’s out of the way, onto the sign up:

    Name: Yahoot
    Age: 24
    Gender: Male
    Race: Hyrulian/Geruda
    Allegiance: Villain
Appearance: Yahoot stands at about 5’8’’ with a thin build and a slightly pale complexion. He has tangled blonde hair which falls to his chin and gold eyes, gleaming with a bit of wild madness. He has a rather long, prominent nose.

As for clothing, Yahoot wears a red tunic, brown pants, and a pair of steel toed brown boots. Is head rests a grey, crooked steeple hat, and over his clothes he wears a brown cloak. A number of random trinkets hang from his wrists.
Personality: A bit loopy could be a good way to describe him. Yahoot can become quite manic when in a fight…or when in the presence of a large amount of treasure. He’s a man that would do any job given to him, for a price. As a result, concepts of good and evil don’t matter to him, just who would hire him or not. Once given a job, he will be quite persistent in getting it done, if not just for the reward. He does get irritated though when things keep going wrong.
    Element: N/A
Weapon(s): A large steel hammer, not unlike the Megaton Hammer. He also has a large supply of bombs at his disposal.
Powers/Abilities: Yahoot has been known for being incredible fast, able to keep up with horses with ease. He also seems to have a rather large amount of stamina, able to keep moving for hours and hours on end before getting tired.
History: It is often stated that once every hundred years, a male gerudo is born. This has led to the misconception that virtually all children born from gerudo are female. However, the truth is that most male children born from Gerudo inherited very little gerudo traits and take on the traits of their non-gerudo father. These children are not considered gerudo in the eyes of the tribe. Yahoot is one such male.

Yahoot’s father was a mailman, and in order to keep up with him, Yahoot had to follow him wherever he went, something which would result in his speed and stamina. However, as he grew, he began to feel that there wasn’t much money in delivering.

Not when compared to being a mercenary anyway.

Default Re: Legend of Zelda: Destiny of the Heart (SIGN UPS)

    Name: Baedan

Age: Undetermined; appears to be past puberty, though not by a whole lot.

    Gender: Male

Race: Appears to be Hylian - that is, he's a humanoid with long, pointed ears.

    Allegiance: Hero

Appearance: Baedan's short frame is lithe, corded with lean muscle without being bulky, his stance tense. His skin is unbelievably pallid, and the baffling silver tone of his shoulder-reaching locks stands at odds with his youthful face. The vivid crimson tone of his eyes, overlayed somehow with violet, is all the more shocking against the pale background of his face.
He is garbed in a black velvet tunic: the cut is simple, the sleeves short, the bottom long, and the neck slit and cross-tied. Unerneath this he wears a grey shirt with long sleeves, also of velvet, with a wide neckline visible under the overshirt. His legs are clad in simple black linen breetches, the bottoms tucked into the tops of his leather boots. A belt, made from the same dark brown leather as his footwear, is slung around his waist, and matching wristbands are hidden under his sleeves.

Personality: Baedan is a shamelessly blunt, concise, and often pragmatic individual: not the type easily liked. Easy to offend, with a short fuse, he lashes out without reservation at things that bother him... though he has the fortunate tendancy to administer a verbal beat-down before resorting to a physical one. He has an uncanny knack for guessing at a person's psychological weakpoint, and digging at it to deliver truly scathing remarks. His logic is often near perfect, though he lacks the empathy to include others' feelings into his considerations.

    Element: Shadow

Weapons: He's in posession of a pair of short swords - or long daggers. The weapons are each seemingly forged from a single hunk of some silvery metal, and bear a slightly curved, tapering shape accompanied by a series of large hook-like serrations along both sides. The centers of the blades are flat, and bear a series of black runes (unique on each weapon) apparently scorched onto the metal. Simple leather straps allow the blades to hang naked at his sides.
Also, the power of loooove snark!

Powers/Abilities: Perhaps unlike some of the other heroes, Baedan seems to wield the power of Shadow with almost no effort. He can utilize illusions to confuse and incapacitate, and even create the sensation of pain without causing actual wounds. If his mind tricks fail him, Baedan can also drain all the light and warmth from a reasonably-sized area with a whim (including body heat), or blind eyes with a veil of shadow.

History: Baedan's first memory is of a dream. It is unknown, even to himself, what happened to him before the Sage of Shadow spoke to him.

    Relations: Nope.

Other: If one were to get near enough to touch him, one would find his skin strangely cold. And when he gets angry... it tends to get darker, even on a cloudless day.

Ok, first off, I've already spoken to Blademaster about this, so I'm just posting to let everyone else know, Ganondorf is not playable due to plot reasons. Sorry.

    Second, CEB, consider yourself reserved.

Default Re: Legend of Zelda: Destiny of the Heart (SIGN UPS)

You brought this on yourself, Benny-boy.

    Name: Daggoth
Age: Unknown; appears to be in his mid-20's.
    Gender: Male
    Race: Hylian (?)
    Allegiance: Villain
Appearance: Caucasian with pointy ears, but that's about where the similarities between him and your average Hylian end. His skin is pale and scarred, and his hair is an oily-black, with a jagged fringe over either brown eye. He stands about 5'9" and weighs 170 pounds, his figure not toned but not weak either. He wears strap-on leather boots over baggy black jeans, and a tattered, thigh-length coat over a dirty white work shirt. Like Link, his form is adorned with random baubles here and there, but he also has several crystals draped over his clothes - and embedded in his skin.
Personality: Insane. Sadistic. Eerily polite. Everything about this guy just oozes evil. You won't see it coming until it's too late. He'll shake your hand for the sole purpose of snapping your arm and tearing it at the wrist, and then he'll hold onto the hand and just kinda carry it with him for awhile until he figures out something to do with it or until he forgets he has it and drops it off somewhere. Stay well away from him, and if he asks you a question, DON'T ANSWER IT.
    Element: None.
Weapon(s): His labyrithinely twisted mind and his metallic-scented body are dangerous enough, but he also carries many knives and one scimitar, which he keeps at his hip.
Powers/Abilities: Daggoth is a practitioner of magic, and it shows: The crystals adorning his body amplify his powers and give him many enhanced abilities, including superhuman strength and speed. He is well-versed in many techniques, including these:
-Shaker Strike: Daggoth swings his scimitar; the arc of the slash unleashes a powerful wave of energy that shakes the very atomic structure of whatever it hits, like a microwave.
-Energy Ball: Daggoth conjures an electric-yellow ball of energy that can do decent damage, but can be easily deflected by an opposing sword, staff, or even a strong gauntlet.
-Spectrum Rush: Daggoth unleashes a blast of colorful beams that pummel their target at high speed.
-Demon Bomb: Daggoth's crystals glow a golden color and emit globules of sparking energy that form into a massive ball that explodes on contact with whatever it hits.
-Mirage: Daggoth disguises his form by taking on a different appearance for a limited amount of time (Hence why he isn't in jail or executed yet.)
History: Daggoth's history is totally unknown. No family or friends of the man have been identified, and he sure as Hell hasn't opened up to anyone (not anyone who'd go on to tell about it, anyway).
What little that is known is that he encountered someone - or something - many years ago that drove him mad... Well, madder, anyway. What it was that happened to him is unknown, but he has an obvious innate lust for death and destruction, and the event gave him the ultimate means of entertaining himself: the secret to bringing about the Apocalypse.
According to Daggoth's story, there is a fourth Triforce. While many such stories exist and have been dispelled as myths due to the Triforce having three pieces, Daggoth claims that this fourth Triforce both exists and doesn't exist at the same time, and thus is not a fourth piece. "The known that doesn't have to be seen.," in his words, this Triforce is one he calls "the Triforce of Death." He rationalizes his story by claiming that death exists and yet at the same time doesn't exist, since death is the state of not existing in and of itself.
Normally, such a contradictory rambling could go ignored, but Daggoth continues that the fourth Triforce will only make itself truly known by gathering the other three Triforces and using them for the purpose of pure, wanton destruction. What will happen when it appears is unknown, and his whole story is likely just a lie or some sort of psychotic nonsense anyway. But the fact remains that Daggoth is a cold-hearted killing machine, and he's after the Triforce.
    Relations: Everyone and noone.
Other: While Daggoth's figurative humanity is obviously poor, his literal humanity may not even exist - considering how powerful and sinister this mysterious malignance is, rumors are circulating amongst frustrated guards and alarmed citizens that he may not be of this world at all...

    Looks like fun.

    Name: Zaal

Age: Looks to be Twenty three.

    Gender: Male

    Race: Hyrulian.

    Allegiance: Hero

Appearance: Six foot even, shaggy brown hair, wears a dark purple cloak, black tunic with white stockings, a brown belt crowded with dozens of pouches and holsters, and finally a Keaton mask over his face.

Personality: Wise and witty, Zaal is known through Hyrule as the shadow thief. Loves to gloat about his skills in thievery and has an aura of charm few can deny. If he decides he likes you he'll act relatively nice towards you, but still mess around from time to time. He's also a great flirt and will try to hit on any women within eyesight. It should also be said that his kleptomania no neither friend nor foe, so be on the guard and watch you wallets.

    Element: Spirit

Weapon(s): Twin Daggers he's incredibly skilled with, a hook shot (one of two, the other buried in the graveyard re no one would look.) and a small bomb bag.
Powers/Abilities: Very quick and agile, if you take him out to the pub, you best keep both eyes on him all night or be prepared to get left with the bill.

History:His past with left in darkness. All that is known is that He's the most skilled thief in hyrule and that hes been active for little over a year, and his hide out is somewhere in Hyliafields.

Relations: None except an old deku who serves as his butler (Would I need to fill out a separate form for him?)

Other: Nothing I can think of right this minute.
