Played through them all and I must say that they have only gotten better with each game.
The first Metroid Prime had excellent graphics but at least for me the step from 2D to 3D wasn't done very well back then. Lots of searching through ruins, few fights. Not my thing - at first. I got constantly lost in the 3D world too and had to use several maps from internet sources to find my way around.
The only real handicap of the Prime series is that while the older Metroid games were mainly action based with hordes of enemies waiting around every corner there is nothing like this to be seen in any of the Prime games. But you should get used to it quickly.
So while I didn't have that much fun with Prime 1 I really enjoyed Prime 2 and 3, the latter being particularly great. The Prime games have more of a story than the previous games as well which isn't a bad thing. The music cannot compare to Super Metroid but it's good enough.

I only have Metroid Prime 3, but have played the other two and they're veeeery good.
Only problem with the Wii version is that you do literally have to spend the entire time that you're playing it with your wiimote pointing at the screen. I found the controls to be easier on the Wii though, the GC ones always confused me.
My bf said that it took him AND his brother on one controller to beat the final boss lol! Either it's really hard or they're both stupid! XP

I never played any of the Prime games; I owned MP3 briefly, but abandoned it because it was kinda confusing (I suck at simple puzzles.) and because I hadn't played the first 2.
If Trilogy is reasonably priced, I'm definitely gonna try it out.
I played the first game and can't really say I was impressed. With that being said my biggest problem with the game was that it had terrible controls on the gamecube so I'm looking forward to this release.

^I'm assuming that MP1 and 2 use the Wii-chuk controls of MP3, then?
Don't ask how I overlooked that until now.
Yeah, the games were released as Wii Play Control games in Japan. Instead of doing that here they just are packing all 3 games into one.

Well, I knew the first Prime was a Wiimake here in the states; I didn't know the sequel got the same treatment...
Any hints as to the price yet? Considering that the first 2 Primes are older titles, I really hope that it's not gonna be like $100. An Orange Box sorta deal would be just GREAT, but I doubt that Nintendo would be that generous with their fourth- or fifth-biggest franchise... :/
It's gonna be the standard $50.

Why did I pay full price for MP3 when I could waited 2 years for this instead!?
