Summer Games: Batman Arkham Asylum

It came out today, and boy is it a doozy, what could be the greatest Comic Book game released, possibly better than Spiderman 2. It provides the comic book world of Batman in a living breathing way that has never been shown anywhere but the comics before. Granted there has been the cartoons and movies, but both have their own world outside of the comic books. This world however just lives and breathes the comics with fan service littered through out the game.



I am most of the way through the game, having had most of my time taken up by the game, and am now close to the final bosses. For me it is my second favorite game of this year ( Behind Ghostbusters of course ), with the Scarecrow stuff being beyond awesome. Also a word of warning this game is NOT your kiddy cartoon, it has the Animated Series voices, but from the moment you hear Riddler talking about disemboweled babies, you know you are no longer in the world of the cartoon.

By the way I have to say my favorite part of the game so far is Scarecrow, there is one scene that really hearkens back to MGS's Psycho Mantis battle.

My best friend got it on PS3 and it easily deserves all the praise it gets. {lus how the hell do you go wrong with Mark Hamill as the Joker? I personally think all future Batman live action films with the Joker should simply be him overdubbing the voice XD

Except for the last boss, that is. Some asshole on /v/ spoiled the last boss for me in a topic about Gabe Newell. Pissed off a good amount of people. D:<

This fire is a sham, a cover-up. Of what, I don’t know, but I do know this entire situation is dirty. I have worked in the infirmary of Blackgate for 15 years. Its coming out for PC, 3 weeks after the launch of the 360/PS3 version.

I know! We have an Xbox edition, but I'd love a PS3, but until then, I can PC it. I miss it TwT I want to play it so bad right now.

Personally I think the PC version is the best, just because the texture files for the costumes have been leaked by the company, so we already have awesome Batman costumes like Batman Beyond, Darkest Night Batman, etc etc.

Now that right there is downright awesome! Anyone do a Batsuit that looks like the one from the Tim Burton movies? The one that was all black with the gold and black logo? Plus are there any pics of the other suits?

Of course there is one thing we do need to fear.......you know some sick bastard out there is going to do the suit with the nipples on it from Batman and Robin >_<

OOOOOGM! They are so awesome- but forrizzle, they best not have them nipple suits- Argh! Owlman suit is so wicked cool! And the fact that they made a Captain America one so rocks my socks! PC game is so goin' on my list of things to buy, along with new shoes.
