Andrew vs VirtualPlay (DL in here) POKEMON SACRIFICE THREE

A 4 on 4 Melee Battle with my OzStar, OzZam and OzPras. I'm adding Igglybuff, but simply to get it some EXP to get it to evolve. It's not part of this deal.

If I win, the ref gets my points. If I lose, VirtualPlay recieves my Pokemon (Not Iggly), but must keep their names.

The arena is my Gym. Aquatic moat around a bouncy castle.

Oh, 4v4 melee now, huh? Guess I've got no choice in my Pokémon either, then, as I only have 4. Out go:

This is gonna be mighty confusing, so let's hope we get a good ref for this.

Also, is it alright if we ban Rest? Just to keep the battle from going forever.

Kana and Sylvia, both of you start with a Safeguard to shield yourselves. Morelce, start with Agility and Nano start with Mimic on Kana to give yourself a Safeguard.

Kana, Sylvia, and Morelce follow up with a Swords Dance, Nano follow with Iron Defense. If any of you get Taunted, then the ones who are taunted replace as such: Kana use Leaf Blade on OsPras, Sylvia use Crunch on OzZam, Morelce use Brick Break on Igglybuff, and Nano use Charge Beam on OzStar.

Then its time to go right into attacks. Kana use Brick Break on Igglybuff, Sylvia use Seed Bomb on OzPras, Morelce hit OzZam with Faint Attack, and Nano put a Thunderbolt into that OzStar.

This is a delightfully challenging battle I must say. I don't like your Nicknames though, it's confusing.

OzStar and OzPras are to be in the moat at all times.

OzPras, use a Toxic on Gallade. NOW you are the lynchpin of turn two. Wait till all the opponants have used all their stat building and use HAZE. HAHAHAHAH. Ruin any time they spent building up. BRILLIANT. Finish by using Ice Beam to destroy that Seed Bomb.

OzPuff, my dear... I think you already have EXP to evolve... I'm not sure? I don't know. Toxic Turtwig then Toxic Sneasel. Use Bounce to avoid Brick Break, my fragile thing.

OzStar, I also adore you. Thunderwave Gallade. Then Thunderwave Magnemite. Finish off by using Teleport to avoid the Thunderbolt.

Finally, OzZam, my wise friend. Thunderwave the Sneasel and Turtwig. Finish off by using Focus Blast on Sneasel.

Wow, here's a fun match. 4 on 4 matchup between VirtualPlay and Andrew....do I really have to read that?

*sigh* Andrew the magnificent almightly excelsior whose brilliance shines across all dimensions of awesome. 9_9...Anyway! Match here stars now in the Bouncy Castle! Let's see a good clean match, ne?

The Pokemon all break off into their respective areas, OzStar and Pras diving into the moat. Kana and Sylvia quickly expand their enegy in fromt of them, creating a dual Safeguard bonanza-but it still has to drape them. Nano copies Sylvia, and starts its own as well, while MoreIce gets the lead out and begins bouncing all over the damn place.

OzZam though, is quicker than most of the others - and already shoots off a small jolt of Thunder toward the safeguard crew. It strikes More, just before she completes another aerial super speed maneuver. That hit grounds her momentarily. OzStar though, isn't quite so lucky, as its Thunderwave goes flying high in order to cover the distance...and fizzles out on the Safeguard of Kana.

OzPras fares the same, a Toxic lob flying far to hit Kana's backside, but it no avail. Leaving to note that OzPuff's own tactic failed as well, Sylvia laughing at the little insidious looking puff that I'm pretty sure has EXP to evolve if it was in that massive melee a few months back ?

The battle seems to be pretty even right now, with everyone taking time to boost themselves. OzPras watches with relish as the quartet their facing all being powering up. OzZam grunts, knowing his Thunderwave will be useless against Sylvia...and it is. OzStar feels the same about its own hitting Naro..which it isn't!

OzPuff watched as Kana extended its elbow blades and began in intricate dance alongside Sylvia, as Moreice..twitched on the ground. Ow. The pair received a nice bolster in their self-confidence, and Naro seemed to gain some sort of armor-all sheen. Puff tried to splatter MoreIce with some poison-and holy heck it worked since MoreIce wasn't protected!

Pras though gave out a beautiful cry, and suddenly the whole arena started to fall under a Haze. Everyone of VP's team felt weaker, slower, as if everything they worked for was just whisked away.

Back to ground Zero, VP's team all went on the offensive, kinda pissed they lost their edge! Just what Andrew's team wanted. Sylvia dashed ov er to the moat, and fired off a napalm launch of seeds. Pras fired off a single Ice Beam, trying to slam all those seeds within its icy matrix, but it only hit the middle of the mass. Outer seeds still rained on him, hurting quite a bit.

OzStar moved away from the aerial strike area, to see Naro floating over. A Thunderbolt was crackling from Naro's appendages, and Naro gave no remorse to anyone that fell in the water now. The Bolt surged though the air, striking right where Star was. As the exposion calmed...Naro saw no sign of the echidnoderm.

OzZam turned left and right. Sure, MoreIce was knocked on its side-but it still was a fast bugger. Even paralyzed, their species were always sneaky. But no more. MoreIce lunged from the shadows, slicing Zam's back as she ran over it, and lunging for safety. No safety here, as Zam had a nice charged Blast at the ready. Moreice may as well have been a sitting duck. The Focus Blast went out and up with horrific force, sending MoreIce soaring into the heavens.

OzPuff, knowing what danger it could be in, ran for a corner. Kana was in hot pursuit, fists shining. Kana lunged as Puff dove for the corner, and true to its ball life form-Puff hit one wall, bounced to the other, and then ricocheted away as Kana punched where Puff should have been. Kana's fists bounced off the wall, and he loked up to see Puff safely sailing overhead, as MoreIce fell right past, hitting the castle with a sharp boing that sent her back up.

Ok, I was being a bit overzealous and misread the attacks.

Nano knows Safeguard but hasn't used it, correct?

So all in all, I got 1 attack in :x Whoops! Thanks DL.

OzZam - Signal Beam that Turtwig. Follow up with a Fire Punch on that Magnemite and finish off with a Drain Punch on Sneasel.

OzPuff, Come and bounce down on Sneasel and follow up with a Shadow Ball on Gallade and finish off with a Flamethrower on Turtwig.

OzPras - Dragon Pulse that Magnemite. Ice Beam on Turtwig. Finish off with a Psychic on Magnemite.

OzStar - Signal Beam dear old Gallade. Power Gem our friend Sneasel and finish off with a Gyro Ball on Gallade.

Also, DL how do you ref gravity? For all Pokemon or can you focus it on one?

Gravity affects all Pokemon usually. Takes more energy for larger groups, or it can be focused on one for more drastic effect..

Nano has not used Safeguard. Fixed that. Totally spaced on Mimic.

Okay, time to get my moves in.

Kana, use a Thunder Punch on OzStar, ignoring that Signal Beam that's gonna hit. Now as OzPuff fires that Shadow Ball at you, combine a Teleport and a Close Combat to both avoid it and smack that OzPuff into tomorrow.

Nano, time to focus a bit. Give OzPras a Thunderbolt, then Signal Beam OzZam as he comes in to punch you. Then turn back to OzPras with another Thunderbolt.

Morelce, you're the star of opportunity today. As OzPuff Bounces towards you, give it a nice Brick Break as a welcome gift. Quickly turn and use a Faint Attack to avoid that Power Gem and smack OzStar a bit. Then wait for OzZam to charge you and Counter that Drain Punch.

Sylvia, we're going to be preparing for now. Set up a small Light Screen in a dome around you. We won't need to worry about the others this time, you're at the most risk this round. Continue by building up with a Growth, then use an Energy Ball on OzPras.

===Round 2===

The lines are all over the place, but we'll start with a bird's eye view. Star and Pras still reside in the moat, and both start some noise to make their presence known for the time being. The trick her was that Star was still spinning toward the water, so the Signal Beam that was released had an advantage of coming from above.

Pras charged up a powerful blast of energy that went right for Nano. Nano was unfettered by the incoming, and watched as MoreIce got her act together to uppercut the small Puff that was speeding down toward him. Sylvia quickly created a small Light Screen that refracted the Signal Beam fired from OzZam just in time. Nano had enough time now to charge up and fire a Thunderbolt at Oz Star. Star was caught in midflight, leaving it exposed.

That left Kana, whom watched as MoreIce's fist collided with the small Puff, there was a large snap of buckled energy, before Puff went SHOOTING into the stars...Kana turned and lunged toward the moat, to OzStar's surprise, being sucker Thunder Punched into the water. Kana was tossed into the water by the rogue Signal Beam launched earlier, having now reaching the ground.

Glad about paralysis not working, I note MoreIce is scheming. In a flash, the dark ninja is gone, and Kana took her place, if only for a second. As Sylvia seemed to amass an extra girth and Growth spurt, Kana evaporated in midair-just as Puff came back down, chasing after his own Shadowball. Puff bounced and went back up only to come face to face with a flurry of spinning blade kicks that sent Puff bouncing through the castle like a pink pinball.

OzStar was kind of mad. MoreIce was invisible for the moment-O wait no. There she goes. And there goes the raking claws of a unavoidable attack on your conscience. Miffed, Star was able to turn around to face the swimming Sneasel, and aided him back on land with a Power Gem up the arse. Moreice rolled on her back and kinda cried out in half laughter.

OzPras was being really quiet. But not enough so you'd forget. No, an Ice Beam rallied the shield that she had up for the moment, saving her from a cruel fate. And yes, that leaves OzZam and Nano, who went head to head. Fire Punch scorched Maggy's hide, but Maggy's Signal Beam did leave a suitable mark.

Subtly, Kana tries to hide the fact that the combo attack took a bit too much out of her. OzStar does not care about such things, and fires a Steelish sphere of energy at the fighter, knocking him back a il, but not so much.

Sylvia meanwhile, charged up an Energy Ball. It floated in the air above her head for a moment, before lobbing it over toward Pras, who remained relatively unhurt thus far. Pras saw the sphere, and smirked, but then the Lapras called out when a rogue Thunderbolt struck from right field. Looking over, he could make out the floating form of Nano, over the water. Nano's position though, was easy pickings for the retaliatory Psychic.

Zam, hurt from that last attack, turned to see MoreIce on the floor again, paralyzed. Far too easy. as he hovered over and just smacked his fist right on MoreIce's face.

Sylvia seemed a tad annoyed now that Puff stopped bouncing everywhere-JUST to try and set her on fire! Really?

Fixed..
1) Nano attack on OzStar
2) Kana's status and health fized.
3) Last round, Nano used Mimic for Safeguard. That means Nano knows Safeguard, but hasn't used it yet. Hence he was paralyzed since last round.
4) Yeah, I know it seemed high, but Pras is weak to both Electric and Grass. Basically for me, all Super Effective attacks are double the natural amount, so Energy ball(6)+Growth(1)+STAB(1)=8 dmg. Double that=16. Thunderbolt=8 x 2=16.

Anything else. VP, trust me, I'm glad that ASB is at a point where people care about wining, but also about doing it fairly. Not that I'm sayiNg its ok to make as many mistakes as I did, but yeah I was beyond asleep when typing that last night xD.

I think I do see a couple mistakes, actually. First, the ones that should rule in my favor: Nano seems to have consumed energy in the first attack, yet did not actually attack; it should have been a Thunderbolt on OzStar. Kana also seems to have lost health from a Shadow Ball he seems to have avoided. Also at the end you say Nano's Paralyzed when there was nothing that should have done so. If there's any good reason for these events, just let me know why and I'll accept them.

Second, since I'm nice and fair, I'll point out the things that work against me too. Kana should have had her defenses lowered from using Close Combat (unless you don't ref it the same). OzPras took a heck of a lot of damage in the third turn, considering Energy Ball is only 1x effective, plus the relative strengths of the two attacks; even with STAB and Sylvia's Growth it seems a bit much, but if that's how you ref then meh. Just trying to be fair.

No. I was completely asleep. So I am glad you pointed it out. But since I'm awake-I'm about to really re-look this over. But yeah. So sleepy last night, I think I passed out twice while trying to figure out Nano's attacks.

Oh I see where I went off with Nano, I mistook Mimic for Mirror Move or something. My fault, no problem.

Okay, now I go first so I need to play it defensively.

Kana, start by trying to get your stats back up with a Swords Dance. Then use your higher power to hit OzPuff with Close Combat again. Finish by giving OzPras a Drain Punch.

Nano, sorry about messing you up in the first round, let's keep it simple. Start out with a Thunderbolt on OzPras. Next get close to both of the water types and Discharge on them both; if you can't hit both because they're too far apart, hit at least one of them (probably OzPras since it's not as agile). Finish with another Thunderbolt on OzStar this time.

Sylvia, nice work with the screen, I want you to now toss a Leech Seed onto that floating star. Launch another Seed Bomb at OzPras, then finish with an Energy Ball back at OzStar.

Morelce, hang in there. Smack OzStar with another Faint Attack, then rush over to OzZam with a Night Slash. Finish by using another Faint Attack on OzZam.

OzPuff! You have pretty much a free round, what with Kana dancing away.

Help the team out. Flamethrower Magnemite, then Fire Blast that Sneasel and finish off with another Flamethrower on Magnemite. BURN THEM.

OzPras. Use an Ice Beam to counter that Tbolt. Follow up by Diving! The seed bomb can't hurt you underwater. Finish off by using an Ice Beam on that Turtwig.

OzStar, tough round! Fire a Power Gem at Sneasel when it attacks you. Avoid the discharge with a teleport and finish off with a Protect.

===Round 3===

This battle heads for the water, as Pras and Star get ready for an onslauight. MoreIce leads the charge for once, as being crippled does not hinder her this time. She lunges out the castle, using the springy wall for an enhanced leap. Nano floats around the moat, sparking heavily. Its Sylvia's attack that first graces the sky. Star notes this and tries to see where MoreIce went...but the sneaky femninja evapo--

Oh no, she's above her omgItsawrap! OzStar wa slashed from above, as Moreice used her as a stepping stone to lunge back across the moat. as Star fell in the water, the seeds landed on her and latched on. Moreice made her leap, but Star wasn't done. A rapid firing of a part of her Gem was commenced, and Moreice flew inside the castle, being tagged in the back.

She landed near Kana, whom was dancing away, to the bemusement of Zam. Zam clapped; his eyes glinting, and Kana felt obliged to continue...

Meanwhile, Pras had an issue. Nano was sparking far too much right now, and there was no salvation in sight. So, an Ice Beam was fired right when the Thunderbolt was flung, the two beams hit and the Thunderbolt sorta fizzled against it, but not really, as both attacks made a strange explosions. But suddenly through the midair blast, Nano goes flying into the water right in front of Pras. Puff appears out of nowhere, Fire still blazing from its mouth. Oh; sneak attack!

In the water, Nano made an observation. He could Discharge whilst down here! So, he began charging up. Diving was a bad idea on Pras's part as she dives to see a glowing Nano. Star takes its losses and Teleports, right as Silvia flings a barrage of seeds at Pras.

The Discharge goes off and Pras is instantly shocked. unaware of her motion, she tries to flee and ends up rising, right into the Seed Bomb. No luck at all...

Sylvia smiles, and then feels a wave of heat pass her by. Moreice turns around, to see a huge fire Symbol blazing right for her. She makes a break for it, and lunges at Zam, Slashing his back. He notes the Fire and grabs her Slashing hand,m before Counterthrowing her right into the fire to save his own hide. That...hurt...alot. I dun even think she's moving.

Puff watches as Moreice doesn't even move. Yeap she's gone. But Kana broke free of the Encore, and things don't look so great anymore. OzStar awkwardly reappears behind the Gallade and instaprotects itself. Zam notes the non-dancing Pokemon and makes some space. Zam watches as Nano erupts from the water, and fires off a Thunderbolt that refracts off the Protection. At the same time, Puff finally sees its target, and floats on behind Nano-before blasting it with a Flamethrower.

Sylvia turns and runs over, gathering a sphere of Grass power. It flies in a high arc and splatters over the shield, Star still spinning to keep it upright. She turns in disapproval, only to catch a wave of Ice as it strikes her shield. She shivers, but whew, glad that was up.

That left Kana wide open. The souped up Pokemon lunged out the castle and landed on Pras's Back, fist first. Pras cried out, as they both sunk in the water a bit. Pras came back up though, and Kana felt much better about thsi matchup now.

Alright, slightly out of luck here, but not for long.

Kana, don't worry about what that Lapras is trying to do, Mist won't affect you at all, it's not Haze. Instead make yourself a large Substitute to absorb that Thunder Wave and some of the subsequent attacks, then use a Brick Break on OzPras to take it out, or if its fainted, use Thunder Punch on OzStar. Finish with another Thunder Punch on OzStar, or if its fainted as well, Close Combat on OzPuff.

Nano, gonna be real easy this time. Thunderbolt the whole time, start with your target as OzPras, but once it faints switch to OzStar. If OzStar faints as well before you can get your last Thunderbolt off, aim it at OzPuff instead.

Sylvia, looks like you're the target this round; good thing your Light Screen is still up. Don't worry about Taunt, I want you to all-out attack anyway, so attack with a Seed Bomb on OzPras, then two Seed Bombs on OzStar. If OzStar faints before you can get your Seed Bomb off, target that OzZam and try to Crunch it.

This battle is far from over. Kana, Sylvia and Nano don't seem to be giving in just yet. They all scatter, and head for their intended targets. OzZam uses a psychic projection to start to Taunt Sylvia, calling her a Chia Pet gone horridly wrong. While this does tick her off, her first attack was already on offense. Seeds are hurled skyward, so that they go over the castle walls....

Kana was keeling down as Sylvia and Nano moved away, and he flipped back in time to avoid a surprise attack from OzPuff. Panting a bit, he watched as a Thunderwave smacked dead into that large Sub of his. OzPuff already didn't like how that looked, and turned to OzStar.

OzStar was close to Kana, adn was trailing the now fleeing Nano. A small Twister went up under Nano, shaking its equilibrium a tad, but nothing more. Nano responded by first watching as OzPras tried to envelop Kana in a mist, only to have the Mist wrap around itself-right beofre those Seeds struck. As Pras cried out from its own fog, a Thudnerbolt went ripping through the sky, ending Pras. The large Pokemon sunk in the moat, completly wiped.

Score is now tied at 1-1. Kana leads the charge, running toward OzStar with a devilish smirk. OzPuff floats out of Kana's way and looks toward Nano, whom is alrady sparking. A Thunderbolt rips from the side of Nano, and heads for the ninja star, whom is intently watching Kana get closer...and closer....

The Shadowball is fired-right before Star is struck in the back by the Thuderbolt. Star falls forward, only to glide right into a Crackling Punch of electricity, courtesy of Kana. The echidnoderm shudders, and falls out of the sky-encumbered with electricity. Kana looked back at its sub, to see it perfectly exploded. Oh well.

Nano then electronically cries out, as its swathed in flames again. OzPuff plays for keeps man. Sylvia meanwhile is in pain, trying to move as OzZam holds her in place. But with OzPras gone-there was no reason to hold her any longer. He released her-which was a bad idea.

A Seed Bomb collided with OzStar, making its life perfectly miserable.

Barely alive, OzStar stays still-as the paralysis hinders it from moving anyway. Sylvia, Nano and Kana all look at it, and realize all three attacking it would be worthless. Hell-even one attacking it would be worthless. OzZam cares not for this team meeting and appears in front of Nano, to Nano's dismay. A swift Punch sends Nano reeling-fire lapping at its hide.

Zam lowers his fist, in time to see Kana go directly after OzPuff. The little creampuff is in the same predicament as OzStar was. The Shadowball was fired, and -oh this time there was no Sub to nullify it. Kana goes into a defensive pose and uses what boundless energy he has to rip through the pain of cutting through a Shadowball and connect not one, but twice with OzPuffs frame.

OzPuff goes bouncing about...and Nano takes the time to line up its shot....
before firing a Thunderbolt that it hopes takes down the puff!

That left Sylvia, whom ran up on the ever omniscient OzZam, and Crunched his foot. Man with a beak like hers, that's gotta hurt. OzZam kicked her away, and was left hobbling about.

Well, despite your mentions of it and your lack of posting otherwise, I guess there isn't a 'no damage cap' on this. Guess the Leech Seed wasn't just a good idea at the time.

Anyway, let's see how we can finish this off.

Kana, your performance was excellent, and now it's time to ready one of your specialty moves. Get ready for a Feint on OzPuff. That way if it tries to Protect it won't work. No sub if it doesn't Protect; I try to avoid subbing for opponents' possible moves to block them. Regardless of how that turns out, give OzZam some damage with Night Slash and Shadow Ball.

Nano, you've put up a good fight so far. Start with a Thunder on OzPuff, just in case it decides to Bounce. Then if you're still standing, send out a Flash Cannon and a Shock Wave, either to OzPuff if it's still standing, or OzZam if it's not.

Sylvia, you've done very well, time to bring closure to this. Energy Ball the OzPuff, then Giga Drain and Energy Ball OzPuff, switching to OzZam if Puff faints.

Hrm.

Looking it over, ..no Pras was never seeded. OzStar was seeded in Round 3.

Mist did make it hard to see. However, Sylvia spat her Seeds out as Lapras was making the Mist, so the Seeds crashed into her, making her cry out. Nana used vocal location to fire his Thunderbolt.

However..I can see the unfairness in that, and it can be edited. :O.
