Hello folks! This is Kurosakura reporting from the extremely overused and overrated Indigo Stadium! You did not just hear me say that, hehe! So I kinda said that I'd never ref a double battle again, but apparently I lied. Today we're here for an 8 on 8 double battle between Wolfsong and DarkestLight and the latter is out for my blood! No, you didn't hear anything. It was just your imagination. Anyways, they're both heading off to their respective ends and Wolfsong sends out Clavo Cruz the Duskull and Mirage the Ditto. DarkestLight, on the other hand, sends out Fro-yo the Barboach and Tio the Finneon. Is it just me, or is there way too much testosterone in this battle?

Tio starts us off with an Ominous Wind, aiming straight for Clavo Cruz and scoring a super-effective hit! The Duskull retaliates with a Confuse Ray, nearly blinding the Finneon and causing him to become confused! Meanwhile, Fro-yo fire off a Water Pulse at Mirage! The Ditto takes the initiative and transforms into Tio.

Clavo Cruz floats over quickly and smacks Tio upside the head! However, Tio is confused! He hurt himself in his confusion by slapping his tail at the side of the pond so hard that it started aching! Mirage, now Transformed into Tio, sends over purply-ghosty-looking wind at Fro-yo! It gains stat boosts in.. pretty much everything! Fro-yo concentrates in gazing into Mirage's not-so-distant future, concentrating hard for some sort of hit.

Fro-yo, being confused, bashes his head against the ground. Clavo Cruz takes this opportunity to gang up on Fro-yo, blasting an Ominous Wind at him.

Mirage, already sped up with his bonuses from Ominous Wind, decides to take it a step further with Agility! Tio, being the sane one, splits himself into four other copies. However, Clavo decides to rain in on DL's parade by snatching up a Tio and smashing him into the ground and disappearing. Fro-yo, being the weird confused one of the bunch, is kinda... well... confused! He manages to do this funny spinny dance and drags Tio for a bit of a whirlpool, but the little fishy dude swims out of it unscathed.

Mirage, being the speed demon IT is, starts cutting at Tio and Fro somehow with wind, sending him skidding across the water's surface and plopping him back down, causing him to go POOF! Fro-yo, being speedy as well, is still confused. Derp. He hit himself again. Clavo starts amassing a huge purply blacky Shadow Ball and flings it at poor, confused Fro-yo, who takes a direct hit. Tio decides to be annoying and copy ALL of Mirage's stat boosts, muhaha.

Okay, getting its stats copied by Tio kinda pissed off the glob, so it decides to take it out on the confused one by zapping him with a Psybeam. Tio decides that Clavo is an ass and hits him with pretty purple wind, knocking him back reeeeeeally far. Fro-yo's trying to get unconfused, and he just can't do it! He smacks himself again, nooo! Clavo decides to retaliate with his own Ominous Wind and hits him back with the same force, sending him skidding across that teeny pond.

Tio and his two remaining clones start off this round by flapping those butterfly-shaped tail fins of theirs and blasting an Ominous Wind on Clavo Cruz! Mirage, on the other hand, chooses to copy Fro-yo's Dragon Dance, gaining both an attack and speed boost. Poor, confused Fro-yo is no longer confused! He dances that crazy Dragon Dance again with a vengeance. Clavo decides to confuse everyone by splitting himself into several clones.

Mirage, feeling extremely proud of himself for finally 1-upping Tio, decides to start beating on Fro-yo, blasting him with a Psybeam, but fails to confuse him. Tio, on the other hand, doesn't appreciate the lack of action on Mirage's part, and flaps silvery powder at Mirage. Poor battle-worn Fro-yo decides that he's not going down with a fight and charges towards Mirage and hits him with some sort of... electrified tackle sans physical contact but acts as physical damage? Either way, that hurt, with all those Dragon Dances and the super-effectiveness of the hit. Unfortunately, Clavo and co. hurl a lumpy Shadow Balls at Fro-yo. Can't the little guy get a break?

Ugh, what happened to good sportsmanship? They're teaming up on little Fro-yo here! Mirage starts off by blasting that Ominous Wind again! Why? Why? WHY?! Tio, that traitor, decides to heal himself with an Aqua Ring, encasing himself within a giant bubble of healing water. I guess Fro-yo could care less cause he's getting ganged up on and Sparks Mirage again, cause he-- I mean it's an easier target than Clavo and his clones at the moment. Stupid ambiguous Ditto. Clavo and the clones, not showing any mercy to the poor thing, hurl Dark Pulses at him. That's so mean!

Mirage and its hax speed copy Tio and forms another giant water bubble of perpetual healing, otherwise known as Aqua Ring. However, Tio's not to happy about being copied again, so he lobs a sticky, poisonous blob of pure Toxic at Mirage, attempting to poison him it badly. I smack DL. Toxic is a banned move, sweetheart! Clavo attempts to confuse Fro-yo again, but he Protects himself and his predicted attack came around fairly late, but better late than never! Mirage falls face-first into a pile of diiiiirt.

Tio starts flappin' his tail fins at Clavo while Fro's concentrating a Sandstorm on him, getting rid of his one-too-many clones. The excess dirt and stone and stuff's being scattered all around the arena. Ew. MORE Sandstorms!? Meanwhile, Clavo's concentrating on sending a nasty attack to Tio in the near future.

Rocksteady, with his newfound speed (as heavy as he may be), starts off the battle with a blinding Flash, DEAR ARCEUS IT BURNS! However, it only affected Ziva, who's staring at the Lileep kinda funny, and Mirage is still stuck in its icicle of doom. Tio takes this chance to send a foamy, salty, watery wave-thingy at Mirage, which kinda isn't as effective as it could be, cause, well, Mirage is his clone and they share the same weaknesses and resistances, duh. Although Ziva's eyes are acting funny from that horrid Flash, she makes things brighter with a nice, warm Sunny Day. Makes up from that icky grit flying around earlier!

Without further ado, Rock summons up the power of the earth and sorta... blasts it at Ziva, who took a pretty nasty-looking hit. Tio continues beating on the frozen Mirage with more another Briny splash of water, but again, it's not too effective. Ziva gets on the defensive and splits herself into 4 others, gazing at her opponents warily, but she can't quite get the stars out of her eyes.

Switching targets, Rock lobbed... a bolus of toxic sludge at Mirage, drenching it somehow and the toxins managing to penetrate its body, Poisoning it! Tio not only sends a wave of water crashing down onto Ziva, he takes advantage of Mirage's handicap once again, sending it crashing into the shore and barely hanging in there! However, some of that Surf hit Rocksteady, who didn't appreciate it much. Ziva and her clones try to retaliate and focus a high frequency Metal Sound at Rocksteady, but their aim is off and it reaches a section of the crowd instead. I sure am glad I wasn't them... *shudders*
