He's Alive, Live, Live
My baby's pullin’ through
This wasn’t on the top of Minoru’s things to do today; in fact there was a splinter of regret in him as something in him didn’t want to be a male. It was awkward and strange, the entire change had lasted only a split second, yet to her, or him rather, the moment felt like a contorted eternity. Then there was the ever so slight awkwardness of suddenly fighting alongside people he had little to no knowledge about.
‘To be noted, I hate working with others…’ He thought as the plan was laid out. And what a horribly blunt plan it was. All of them were to attack at the same time. Minoru frowned at this, the blades in his hands felt foreign. Awkward in weight and strange to grip, he twirled the one in his right hand, as if testing it out.
“Oooh yeah…” He smirked at his own, and everyone’s idiocy for believing in this scheme. “This is gonna be great…”
The man who had charged before ran again, his sword charged and sparking with electricity. Minoru didn’t hesitate a moment longer, he followed close behind. Moving to the left and as the creature’s attention was on the dude with the sparking sword, he was free to move in an attack. It swung at the other attacker, dismaying the man before it turned its attention to Minoru just as he was rushing in.
It like out a sort of gross, gurgling noise before it attacked with a blunt move. The man moved, sliding right out of the way of the move like a dancer would.
‘Never thought spending hours learning those moves would help in a fight…’ He mused, and went to block an incoming attack when one came from behind.
Fire.
‘FUCK!’
It burned like hell, Minoru hissed, and both he and the monster recoiled, though he supposed for the demon it was more of surprise then anything. Putting distance between his opponent and himself, Minoru shot a glare back.
“Who the hell shot the fireball?”
A girl, obviously uncomfortably with the situation (who was amusingly trying to hold her skirt down in a fight) grimaced.
“.. Me?”
Minoru simply held up his right hand which was still a bit charred and burned. “Mind aiming next time?”
“S-Sorry!”
He turned his attention back to the monster just in time to leap out of the way of another attack, the monster hurled on him. A splatter of disgusting, bubbling, black… Stuff hit Minoru half way through the air and knocked him harshly onto the ground. Minoru struggled, his left leg stuck on the cement floor because of the super glue like substance.
“God… Damn… It…” He growled, looking up as the monster attacked again.
There was a moan and a loud human grunt, as suddenly standing between Minoru and the creature was Hayato, using his scythe as a block. The creature roared in anger, its call coming out as if a cow was drowning.
“If this thing pukes on me…” He threatened more towards Minoru then the actual demon.
“Yeah yeah, I know…” The man wrenched his leg free. “I’m dead, do me a favour and come up with a better threat next time…” Quickly he scurried away as Hayato forced the monster back.
There was a bright flash as an electrical ball flew from someone behind Minoru and slammed into the creature. That attack seemed to due considerable more damage than anything they had tried. Of course she seemed to be more comfortable with herself and in control, so the man imagined she had been a kampfer for a lot longer than himself or the others.
“This plan isn’t working…” Minoru growled, twirling his weapons again. “The rest of us can’t fight for shit…”
The girl looked over at him, and watched as one of the more in-your-face and bubbly girls was forced back after nearly blowing half of the group over in an attack gone astray.
“So what do you suggest?” She questioned.
“Well the rest of us are pretty good distractions, if anything…” He readied himself. “We can find a weak spot, maybe you can exploit it.”
“Alright…” She spoke; as they both watched the others recklessly attack. Her expression was that of annoyance, watching the bluntness and graceless attacks fail one after another. “Now we have to tell them…”
