As this is my first time I humbly request a battle. All applicants must have a high level of patience, incredibly weak backhand a bonus as I bruise easily.

My team of scientist (yes singular) has just translated your post into something that my feeble mind can understand.

Instead of banning rest outright, may I suggest limiting it to once per turn. As in the Pokemon is already rested and must wait till it gets tired again.

If this is not to your liking then go ahead and ban it, I have no problems.

As to the abilities I must admit I am not 100% in my understanding but I am told that you a beta testing and as a humble Student of Game Design I understand that testing is essential so by all means let the abilities commence.

Edit: this just in my scientist is telling me I should say what my ability should be.

Additional Rules: As stands, your rest rule doesn't do anything. If you rest with one of your actions, you will be asleep for the other two. And then the round will be over. So, you can use rest again. And the rules don't stop you from doing so, since you are in a different round. I suggest putting a 2 round (6 attacks) break between rests, or out-right banning it. Also, this battle will be one of the playtesting battles for Abilities.

Both trainers enter the coliseum and release their pokemon. On the left side, Darkest Light releases a wartortle named Dasan E, who is apparently going through a gender crisis. Is Dasan male? Is Dasan female? No one knows... On the right side, Pixel releases his new Riolu. Riolu shows off by making himself all nice and shiny, but Dasan just yawns in disinterest. Riolu, offended by this, would have done something, but finds himself tired as well.

Dasan E: -3 EN
Riolu: +2 Def, drowsy, -6 EN

~Round 2~
Outraged by the complete lack of appreeciation for his shiny body, Riolu tries showing off again by showing off his leet speed. He runs circles around Dasan, who responds by playing in the mud.

Dasan E: -6 EN
Riolu: +2 Spd, -6 EN
Arena: Mud sport

~Round 3~
Riolu is now fuming. He charges at his opponent, his hand crackling with electric fury, and smacks Dasan. Dasan looks at his enemy, gives him a puzzled look "What did you do that for?". Riolu's mind starts reeling, wondering what that could mean. Apparently, Riolu shouldn't think that much, and he eventually develops a headache.

Dasan E: -7 HP, -3 EN
Riolu: -6 HP, -6 EN

Dasan E slips on a pair of shiny pants to show he really is the man. The shiny pants even come with a +2 enhancement bonus against physical attacks. Riolu flings some of the mud at the shiny pants, making them a bit duller, and getting some of the mud in Dasan's eyes. Riolu then decides he's too tired to bother with this anymore, and that Dasan is still too busy playing by himself. So, Riolu takes a nap.

Dasan E: +2 def, -1 acc, -2 HP, -6 EN
Riolu: -6 EN, -yawned at, +sleepy

Finally, with Riolu asleep, Dasan finally pays attention to him. While he's not watching and all that. He starts with an assault of water, barraged by the mud in the room, which hits a spot about 3 feet behind Riolu. Stupid mud in the eyes.

You know how when your alarm clock goes off, it gets into your dreams? Riolu's dreams start doing that. "But I don't have an alarm clock?" His mind starts reeling again and it hurts.

Dasan starts breathing heavily, a mist emitting from his mouth. As the mist slowly fills the room, it starts eroding at various things. The magical bonus from his pants, the mud in his eyes, the shininess of Riolu's armor and even the speed which Riolu is running at. Riolu's response to this is to snore loudly.

Dasan E: remove numerical effects, -4 HP, -6 EN

~Round 2~
After that last loud snore, Dasan waits a moment until Riolu does it again. As Riolu opens his mouth, a blob of goop lands on his tongue. The loud snore still vibrates the room, but it is now followed by a sickening cough.

Riolu: toxic, -6 EN

~Round 3~
Another loud snore fills the room, as Dasan charges towards Riolu. After the first two, you'd figure he'd see this one coming, but the shock of the snore manages to confuse Dasan for a moment, halting his attack. In fact, the snore is so loud, it wakes Riolu up.

Dasan E: -4 HP, *flinched*
Riolu: -6 EN, awake

~Bonus Material~
Now that he's awake, Riolu wonders if he should check the expiry date on the milk and cookies he had before going to bed. Or maybe someone shot toxic goop into his mouth while he was asleep. Hmm... Most likely the off milk, I'd say.

Riolu charges at Dasan, the toxic sludge pushing his fury to new heights, and Dasan focuses his power and charges into Riolu with a powerful headbutt.

Dasan sits there, focusing his energy, preparing for Riolu. Riolu falls right into this trap when it pops out of the ground and slams into Dasan, and gets headbutted back.

Dasan laughs as Riolu charges down one of the clones, only to be struck by high-velocity shots of water.

Dasan goes to get his magical pants +2, to prepare for the earthquake that's about to hit. He sees them in the corner of the arena, and just as he's putting them on, the earthquake strikes, wiping out both clones and leaving Dasan a bit worse for wear. (Riolu: -8EN | Dasan E: -10 HP, +2 Def, -2 clones, -6EN) Riolu is now getting worried. He prepares for whatever attack Dasan will send out. Dasan... does nothing. (Riolu: No change | Dasan E: +6 EN) Dasan still seems to be doing nothing, so Riolu goes on the offensive, trying to reverse the situation. The attack is so taxing on him, it actually powers up because of it, and fear of the toxic running through his veins pushes it up a notch as well. (Riolu: -5 HP [HP->EN], -5EN | Dasan E: -20 HP, +6EN) Finally, the toxic kicks in and Dasan drinks a bit more water. (Riolu: -32 HP, faint | Dasan E: +4 HP)
