TPM Manga

I remember a few years back someone tried something similar to this. People on TPM exchanging ideas to try and create a manga. Not about TPM itself, but an original plot, characters, etc. Well, it got as far as character design before it eventually fizzled out.

As someone who originally took part in it, I want to give it another try and see what happens a second time around.

Now, as I said, this isn't a manga about TPM. It's a manga created BY TPMers. Where we can exchange ideas and talents to hopefully create something awesome.

Now, for obvious reasons, we would have to work out what genre it will be, along with the basic plot to begin with. If you have any ideas or preferences, feel free to shout them out. It doesn't have to be anything too complicated. Just a basic idea in which we can work on.

So, who wants to give this another try?

That would be cool ^-^ maybe we can combine two projects and have this manga be about that steampunk thing in the works, I find it easier to create a longish story in written form, almost in the style of an rpg with many people helping and then translate it into script/comic form. But of course lets see what everyone elses ideas are ^-^

Why don't we take it in turns to write a page each? Could be quite amusing. Like, every page has to be a certain dimension with a maximum number of panels...

Sounds fascinating. You know my drawing style and if there's something you want me to help you with, sure. I don't want to rant, but have drawn comics since I was 8.

What comes to my mind first is mr_pikachu's War Of The Forums, but that was a comic about TPM. But I say it used well references to works of professional artists, and that's what I'm looking for. Every TPMer sure could use their favourtie books/comics/cartoons/movies as a material. Of course that's not all, our manga wouldn't be worse with a more orignal idea either.

I also like Heald's idea of taking turns with making pages. We could actually start a little manga factory, where we both discuss the events in the manga and keep making the new pages. One thing though. The control of the project might have to be divided with several persons, so one's absence wouldn't take it away.

I'm glad I've got support for this idea. Of course we still need to work out a plot for this comic, or at least the genre of it first.

I like healds idea where we all just draw a page, I kind of like the idea of it being something like It Sucks to be Us where the genre changes ;D

Hmm, interesting ideas. Speaking of pokemon mangas, there's been an idea for a pokemon world I've been kicking around for a bit.

I'm on a bit of a Steampunk bend as of late.
