Well, I hate pixel stuff, but one night I managed to fight through the irritation of pixeling and come up with Flash Pikachu.

I go into spare rooms there every now and again and just make NES sprites out of whatever is available. I've already made (and saved if anybody wants to see) Link, Kirby, Samus, Simon Belmont, and Ninten sprites, to name just a few.
