The Journey:

The Onix lowers down to you and Sushi translates as best a Piplup can. Apparently the Onix had ate some wrong rocks that created an imbalance in his system. It lets out a small growl of gratitude before offering to carry you up to the Archives doors.

The Journey:

You target the Torterra as it shakes the last bit of frost from his shell. Perseus disappears and re-appears in a flash (-4). The Torterra doesn't notice him there right away.

Perseus then cuts loose with a fist covered with ice cold energy (-6/-11). Not too happy, the Torterra roars before slamming into the Gallade (-5/-6).

With another attack, the Torterra slams into Perseus (-9, -4/-13). Unphased, the Gallade strikes back with a frozen fist (-6/-12).

The fight's underway, but can you down the Torterra and claim him as your own?

The Area:

A dangerous quarry home to Rock and Ground types. Footing is loose, and there's always work being done. A few Fighting types and some rare Steel types also make their homes here

The Journey:

With a fit of anger and rage, the Larvitar and Rudiasho go at it. The Blaziken focuses his energy into his fist while the wild Larvitar's arm glows with a strong force before they lunge at each other (-4[/color/-7). The attacks collide, knocking each back with a hard hit (-16/[b]-11). The attacks hit home, both doing a good bit of damage. Nepenthes waits, before unleashing a cloud of spores forth towards the recovering Larvitar (-4), but the Rock-Ground is in too much pain to fall asleep yet.

The Ivysaur whips his vines out to slam into the Larvitar (-6/-20) which hits the smaller Pokémon hard. The Larvitar growls before charging a large sphere of energy in its mouth before unleashing it right at Rudiasho (-14/-16, +5), blasting the Blaziken as well as the area around it.

You take your shot as the Larvitar looks weakened and regaining it's strength. Your Poké Ball flies from your hand, connecting with the Pokémon, splitting and converting the creature into energy. The ball reforms, rocking back and forth before you hear the hopeful “ding” indicating a capture. The Poké Ball disappears in a flash of light as your Poké Dex receives a message.

Congratulations.

Your new Larvitar can be collected when your Safari Adventure is over. Our scanners indicate that you have an Ultra Ball on your person, and you may continue your adventure.

The Area:

The Old Village

An abandoned part of the village that is set for refurbishment some time in the future. Who knows what you can find here, pokemon seem to flock to it from wherever they are. There's also rumours of places hidden beneath the old village..

The Journey:

The fight is still on, as you stare down a Gallade.

Yana doesn't waste any time as she barks up a storm loud enough to wake the dead (-5/-5). It does a bit of damage, but it also has the added affect of waking up Dodger and Ryan. The duo, growling and grumbling about Yana's noise, attack in unison (-2/-6) but miss as the Gallade, disappears in a flash of light, now behind them (-4).

Now with himself positioned a bit better, the Gallade shows off his bladed arms, before rushing Ryan (-3/-4). The attack phases Ryan a bit, making him flinch back away from the Gallade. Dodger isn't foolled by it though, and roars as boulders jut out from the ground and slam into the Psychic Gladiator (-4/-4). Ryan is still shaken by the earlier attack, but tries to get the wild Pokémon with a mouth full of sludge (-7/PSN (Toxic)). Yana, meanwhile, plots her next move (-4, SPATK ++).

Things aren't looking very good for the Gallade as this three vs one match starts to take a turn for the worst. First Yana blasts forth a powerful burst of flames (-6/-15). The Aerodactyl flaps his wings as another blast of wind howls at the Gallade (-6/-12). And Ryan ties it off as a cold wind blows through the alley (-3/-8). The Galade tries to hold his own, as he throws himself at Ryan, punching and kicking hard (-7, DEF -, SPDEF -/-18).

As the round winds down, the Gallade can feel his strength being sapped (-1 (PSN). DAMAGE CAP).

The Journey:

The Onix shows his gratitude by lifting you on his head for a ride up the side of the mountain, towards the Archive doors.

Along the way towards the doors you see some Geodude's moving rocks along an assembly line, while a Magby and Chimchar play with each other. A Bonzly floats down the side as a Mareep digs by a bush.

The Journey:

The ride ontop of the Onix's head manages to coax Suchi to sleep (+15E @ Sushi, +24 H @ Sushi).

Along the way, you see a Gible munching on some granite while a Vulpix and Shinx seem to have a territorial dispute. A Ground-cloaked Wormadam hangs from a tree above you.

The Journey:

Sushi continues to snooze contently (+15E @ Sushi, +8 H @ Sushi) as Onix brings you to within eye-site of the two large doors that make up the Archive entrance. Enjoying the view you notice down the side of the mountain, a blue river where a Torterra herd is roaming, their path kicking up a large dust cloud. You see the Geodude line from earlier is making a pile of rocks, for what end is unknown. The Vulpix and Shinx have started a fight and are now tumbling down the hill, as a gligar yawns loudly, just woken up by the scuffle.

The Journey:

You take out your recorder, describing what you see, allowing your thoughts to flow like a white river rapid. They appear to be making a pyramidal shaped structure. The line begins farther down the mountain, as you see more moving blocks coming up. They seem to be chipping and carving them along the way, as if making raw building materials. Upon closer inspection you see that they are making some kind of wall support structure out of granite and gabro.

Sushi sleeps comfortably (+15E @ Sushi) as a Staravia caws over head. The Gligar flaps up and around the Onix, following it, while you notice two Bonsly watching the Geodude build while the sun's bright light fades away. The doors are in sight!

The Journey:

You want to wake Sushi for some answers, but let the little guy sleep for now. He stirs around by the Onix' motions, woken up, tired but rested. He calls out to the Geodude line, trying to get a response, but they ignore him. Instead, however, you hear a Graveler along the wall shout out in response before it peeks over the wall.

It seems as if the Geodude are trying to reinforce the archive walls and defend it. Something big's happening. Or something big happened.

The Onix rounds the lip of the area in front of the doors. Two large steel doors loom above you, looking impenetrable. A numeric keypad is off to the side with the numbers:

Sitting outside the doors are the two Bonsly, floating by after watching the Geodude, and a Chimchar climbing up the side of one of the doors.

The Journey:

You get off the Onix and thank him for the lift, he rumbles off, content to go his merry way. Sushi hops over to the Graveler and Geodude line while you search the ground. It seems as if someone was here relatively recently, and the doors had opened for them.

Sushi comes back with the Graveler's answer, and points at himself. Looks at the Gravler, then looks at you, confused. The Geodude continue to work, the Onix goes away, the Bonsly disappear over the edge of the far hill, and the Chimchar is trying to pry the doors open unsuccessfully.

The Journey:

The doors taunt you with their secrets, and other than picking random numbers that could possibly set off who-knows-what kind of booby-traps that might be looking, you decide to check out the ruins around the door.

Pounding on the metal doors is the Chimchar, who sees you, but then goes back to pounding on the doors. You start looking at the rubble, checking for heiroglyphics and symbols. You recognize some as the images of past trainers, the ancient greats and legends of the League's and region's history. There are some symbols that look like mountians, others that distinctly look like lightning bolts, and part of a slab that looks like it was munched on.

Sure enough, there are three Gible, munching away at the rocks and rubble, happily content in their food source.

The Journey:

Sushi asks the Gible while you start to compile the list of images. There's an odd conversation between them, and the only thing Sushi seems to get out of the land sharks is one symbol they remember resembles a PokeBall, the rest they had their eyes rolled back in their skulls as they ate. It's not much, but at least the Gible have agreed to stop eating the rest of the ruins while you search, thus they start to eat the side of the mountain.

You travel along the ruins, picking up stones and matching edges, like a giant 3-D puzzle with no instructions and several pieces missing. The pieces speak of TPML in times past, the future, battles, and you manage to get this message out of the images and symbols.

The Journey:

You keep walking down the hallway, the Ghost Type enjoying itself by making a mess. Brigadier floats above the dropped books, casually picking them back up and placing them into the shelves as per the Dewy Decimal System. Pyll doesn't seem to care too much, and Leviathan's following you closely.

You see a door at the end of the row, the hinges and handle rusted. Brigadier also seems to have found something of interest among the books he picked up. There's a flutter off to your right, on the other side of the shelf.

You pay the fee and you and Steak are met with your transporter, a floating Bonsly that you can see your reflection in. A flash of white and you're gone.

The senses return to you as you stand at the edge of a quaint lovely pond. Some Rattata scatter away as your brain registers the sensations of being transported across space. With your trusty pole you sit down and lean against a tree next to the shore and wait for the bob to.. well bob. A Sentrent jumps across the tree above you.

The Journey:

Brigadier floats over, while the books return to the shelves. He hands you the book, old, leather-bound. Glancing through it, you see that it's a hand-written journal, left by someone once famous in the League. It seems to tell about the establishment of the League, the pit-falls, scandals, and even something else. The legends of Pokemon...

Pyll disappeared around the corner of the shelf, and was being quiet. Too quiet. You knew it was too good to be true as you hear his arms launching fireballs at something on the other side. You dash around as something whizes by your head. Turning, it's a Ninjask, buzzing around. Must have been following you, and Pyll's got it in his sigths.

Guess he forgot to make sure to keep the collateral damage to a minimum as some of the Archives are on fire now!

The Journey:

Leviathan grumbles at Pyll, and starts to put out the flames. The Magmortar keeps an eye on the Ninjask, even as it buzzes away, invisible but heard. You read the book as you walk, the Misdrevious from earlier is gone.

The book talks about the Legendary Pokemon, and why they were kept out of reach of the League. There was fear among the higher ups about the unbalancing of power that they would cause. Veteran trainers getting some of the most powerful Pokemon on earth and using them against everyone for the sake of their own pride. Apparently the board of directors were also anxious to get their hands on some of them. There was a power vacumme and... wait a minute, this book is missing a few pages.

You come to the rusted door, set in the wall. The droning of the Ninjask can still be heard, buzzing around you, but at a distance.

You feel a tug on the line and pull back. Hell you get Steak to help you reel the catch in. Pulling back you feel something give sending you and the Miltank flying backwards. You check to see what you caught, and holy crap, it's a Feebas, flailing on the shore.

Your Blastoise walks up and slams his claws into the door before wrenching it off its hinges and setting it to the side. The doorway looks big enough that Leviathan and Pyll can fit through with you.

It's a side doorway leading to another hallway. You can see some stairs leading up one side, partly rusted and some missing, and the hallway goes down to what looked like they used to be a set of double doors, now both missing. Half a dozen Magnemite seem to be sleeping, hovering in the air.

You poke the Feebas with your rod before spouting some insults and flinging it back into the pond. Sitting up again with Steak sitting next to you. A Yanma buzzes in by the water's surface before going up. A few minutes later and you've got a tug on the line. You pull it up and it's a very ticked off male Carvanha.

You leave Brigadier to search for the book while Pyll and Leviathan follow you up the stairs. Lucky for you, they're made out of concrete, and only the railing's gone rusted. Trecking up, you find the next floor up, noticing an increase in disrepair as you go. The stairs stop after this floor, broken and falling apart, impossible to continue up from here.

Defective bait, you decide as you let the piranah Pokemon go and cast your line. The Yanma booked it, and now Skurskit are darting across the water. You get another bite and pull it up. Reminiscent of “It came from beneath the Sea” you managed to hook an Octilery that is currently wrapping around your line and looking annoyed as all get out.

You flip a coin, ignore the result, and try the left door. The hinges creek from rust and misuse. Looking inside, Pyll lights one of his fists on fire to check the inside.

There's a Spinarak that crawls out of sight as you stand in the door. It looks like the room used to be an old sanitation closet. It goes farther back, with spider webs dangling along the walls and dust covering much of the equipment.
