New Gym:

Secret Garden!

Arena:

A secluded Chinese style garden, equipped with a pond, pagoda, bridges and rock paths.



Battle style:

Tournament style, Best out of 5 (subject to negotiation). Each team uses 1v1, and fight until one is defeated. The victor records a point, and both send out fresh combatants for the next round. This continues until the first team have 5 wins. Draws count as 0, so the match may go more than 9 combatants each. Pokemon that are recalled may not be used again in the gym.

Moves rules:

Rest and Pain split may only be used ONCE during the entire battle (Not per pokemon)! The move Ingrain will not work in the garden, but there are 5 (and ONLY 5) Ingrain roots already established, that any pokemon may grab on to at the cost of one action. Doing so grants that pokemon the benefit and drawback of Ingrain, and when that pokemon is defeated, the root retracts. Weather effecting moves will automatically fail to work, due to the fire suppression system, and abilities that affect the weather have no effect (eg: air lock and cloud nine).

Gym specials:

Fire suppression system, Ingrain bonuses (see above), Tournament style battle

Fire suppression system: A system implanted to protect the gardens. Has 6 settings. Starts at 0 (default).

0. No change. Battle acts as normal. The level of sun in this stage is equivalent to ‘Sunny day’.

1. Rain effect. Battle field under effect of Rain dance/Rain conditions.

2. Mist effect. Covers entire battle field.

3. Haze effect. Covers entire battle field.

4. Fog effect. Covers entire battle field in a thick layer of fog. Reduces accuracy by 50%.

5. Heavy Rain. Fire, ground and rock types take damage per turn. Solar beam takes an extra round to charge. Doubles the effect of Hydration, Water Dish, Swift Swim, and Dry skin. If thunder is used, its chance of being protected or Detected goes from 30% to 15%.

As stated above, weather moves, or abilities cannot be used, and attempting to use Defog during stages 2-4 will not removed the effect.

The system is activated AFTER any fire type move is used, and will go up one level for each fire type move used. It will remain at the setting it peaks at for 5 rounds, before defaulting down one level. This means that the first fire type move will still hit for normal damage, but subsequent moves will not. NOTE: The level's of the system STACK, so at level 3, you are also affected by level 2 AND level 1.

Ahh well thanks Dragonis! Nice to see you again!... Well Ayay, It's ok. I'm sure we'll have time to revamp your Gym.

Ay: Yeah. Thanks DL. That just was a quick run through test...at least I...hey, did you forget something Drag?

DL: ...Oh. No. Uhh Aye, looks like the second half of the Double Dragon brothers is here.

Ay: Huh? Oh gawd its Mike! Ok ok lemme get ready. I'm not ready! Stall him DL!

DL: Hell you'd think he was the school quarterback and you were the girl geek salivating over him.....uuH UHH... Mike. Sup?!?

Mike: Uhh hey. I'm here to get a badge. My bro got one, and well I figure if he can get one, I can get one-since I'm better than..

Ay: Welcome Mike! I see you are here to battle me! Well, I hope you are ready for the challenge of your life!

Mike: Psst DL. When she'd changed her clothes?

DL: Dun ask. Girls are WEIRD!

Anyway! With the theatrics done, and the arena ready, Ayeun and Mike are ready to being this foray into battling skills. I'm here to make sure it all goes down fair. Out on each side is Frosty and Logan, big heavy hitters to get this match started! Logan runs in fast, and slides on the slick ground. Frosty welcomes the incoming Lucario, even as the hit trips her up pretty bad.

A yellow burst covers the colliding Pokemon, and Logan rolls away, crippled with paralysis!

Logan winces, feeling the spores lock up each joint in his body. As such, Frosty had enough time to get her bearings under her feet once more. The snow managed to stay atop that banzai tree, and Frosty slammed her weight around now, forcing an Earthquake to trip Logan up.

Logan tries to stand up and give Frosty a run for her money, but a second Earthquake rumbles the garden. Logan stays down for the moment, and Frosty plods away in order to create some space. It was that moment of silence that Logan needed to focus in. He rolls to his knees and thrusts one arm to connect with Frosty's rear leg.

The bone spur in Logan's leg strikes Frosty's leg right on a nerve, inducing paralysis in the massive beast.

With both Pokemon slightly tripped up, this match takes a turn for the paraplegic. Logan shakes off the jitters long enough to focus and get his body levitating, as Frost pounds against the ground with her mass, forcing an Earthquake to ripple through the garden. Logan evades it safely, smirking.

Frosty groans, knowing this just got hard. Its compounded by the fact that she suddenly crumples, hit hard by a paralytic seizure. Logan swoops down and slams a fist into Frosty's back. The blow gets some of the incumbent snow to freeze on her tree.

Fros stands back up and tries to slap Logan with an Earth Power. Logan manages to avoid the blast, but then falls awkwardly, paralysis striking long enough for Frosty to move out of his Ice Punching range.

Logan is still aloft, and as such, goes gain an ease from his incumbent paralysis. Shaking off the jitters, the flying Lucario sweeps in low and knocks Frosty right off her feet. What girl wouldn't be like d to be swept of her feet by the likes of a strong powerful man.

Big girls, that's who, and Frosty's one of the biggest. She rights herself-painfully - and takes aim at the damn acrobatic blue furred ninja. One Solarbeam later, Logan is reeling through the garden, hung up by a mass entanglement of weeds.

Frosty groans and falls once again, as her body does not approve of moving too much. Logan smirks, realizing this can still be his match for the taking. He recovers from the viney entanglement and flies over, landing on her back. Frosty notes this, as well as the Psychic force that....does not come. Logan is stuck stiff on her! Frosty rejoices and pulls a Koopa trick!

She manages to jump and flip in mid-air, shell smashing Logan! Logan lies there in a crumpled heap, floating ever so slightly from that inventive Rock Smash.

Logan can barely move, and Frosty tries to take advantage of it by wafting up all the power she can muster. Her beak vanishes in the massive display of power charged up-before she hurtles forth and expels her full bodies force upon Logan. An array of stomps and headbutts adorn the fighter, leaving him to realize she is pretty Superpowered.

In a powerful counteroffensive, Logan manages to fire his fist straight up during the beating, catching Frosty off guard with a nasty Punch, that chilled her undercarriage to the core. Frosty finished her asswhooping, before backing away. Logan floated there, beaten to kingdom come.

The hefty girl quits playing nice, and takes aim at Logan, whom seems a bit encumbered by his own mass right now. That however, is subjective, as he lurches forth. There's no real rhyme or reason to his erratic movements, as he zips left and right across the garden. All the while, Frosty charges up her attack, and when Logan's first limb makes contact with Frosty's back, she turns her head and fires that Solarbeam. Logan crosses his arms, having his attack paused by that powerful blast of solar energy!

Logan stands there, smoking as the Beam finally passes, and retaliates with an in close Ice Punch to conclude his rushing attack. Frosty winces from the added cold and falls to her chest.

Very well. I was going to use Delinquent, but he is unavailable.

So that leaves Uroplatus, the Female Sceptile.

Ok Baraggan, slow her down with a Icy Wind, then hit her with a Blizzard, last warm her up with a Will-O-Wisp.

Use agility AS the Icy wind goes off, to get out of the attack, and end up behind him. As he fires off the Blizzard, use Night slash to end up 'In front' (behind, as he will have to turn again to fire.) which, HOPEFULLY will avoid majority of the attack. He is going to try to burn you, so use that speed to throw up a Safe guard.

Set two is up. Ayeun, knowing she can't get blown out again, now goes for the speed advantage, with her Sceptile. Barragan floats on out from Mike's side and raises its hands. Cold winds start to blow in the garden-heralding the phantom's arrival. An Icy Wind is shot from that chestmouth, but Uro is on the move! She evades the freezing wind and manages to perch a few feet behind Uro on a rock.

Uro hisses at Barragan, who slowly lumbers around. His hands are still chilled to the core, and now he intensifies the power emanating from them. But Utro is ready again. She lunges forward, and runs off of his front right as the Blizzard flies from his hands. Flipping over him, her tail gets caught in the updraft of the Blizzard, but she manages to slice the ghost with a vertical slash from her elbow leaf blades.

Uro doesn't seem phazed at all, and shakes her tail free of the ice. While kneeling, she creates a barrier about herself. This provides shelter from the sizzling burning light that tries to sear her skin. This also gives her a clear view of Barragan as the waters turn on, starting that preservation system in the Gym

The false rain keeps its heavy downpour on the two combatants. Uro screeches in confidence and lunges for the phantom once more. She connects hard slicing across his belly. But Barragan doesn't flinch. Instead, he raises his hands and forces the garden to undergo an fundamental change.

Uro doesn't quite know what's going on, but something really looks funny about Barragan.

Barragan now tries to make up for lost time. He snakes out a swift tether of poison to try and latch onto Uro, But Uro grins. Her Safeguard does its job, blocking that hindrance. She retaliates with a very slow strike. It still hurts the phantom, but Uro can't seem to speed up. In fact, she feels incredibly slow.

Forgetting reason, Barragan once again goes for a Fiery approach. But the Safeguard is still up. Uro strides over, in what she thinks is rapid fashion, and slices at Barragan again. Least he's continually hitting the phantom, this might be over soon enough.

The second instance of fire forces the Mist ducts to open, and now a low lying Mist envelops the area. Looks like we won't be having any Solarbeams any time soon.

Ok, Barragan, Disable her night slash, then because speed means nothing right now ans she can't use it to evade use a [B]Blizzard[B], then nail her with a Ice Beam.

Pick up DUSKNOIR and use FLING to throw him in to the Paragoda. Then use PROTECT to avoid that BLIZZARD, and finish the round with a Crunch.

As the water falls in sheets, the now super slow Uro realizes that her opponent was like a blur. In actuality, Barragan was just trucking along, moving his hands at regular speed. Uro tries to move, but finds herself unable to

Knowing that halting the Sceptile won't do anything but delay the inevitable, Barragan lets her free, and tries for a Blizzard. Uro only has one hope, and goes for it, creating a barrier the ignores the rules of the speedtwisted spell. The Blizzard blasts around, leaving the area coated in ice-thanks to all the added water.

Why was this damn Sceptile still surviving? No matter. Barragan now aimed an Ice Beam, at the green lizard. Uro tried to evade but it seemed she was picked off at just the right moment. The Ice Beam was thicker due to all the freezing water it picked up along the way, and it gave Uro a nsty shiver.

Uro however, fought away the cold and finally lunged at Barragan. She issued a Crunch to its weird tail end, and then backed away.

Uro knows this match can still be hers, even with the speed defecit. She runs toward the beast of a ghost. Her open Jaws run afoul of a nasty helping of ice, but that doesn't stop her from Crunching down on his wet ethereal hide.

The rains give them both a serious chill, but Uro knows the danger of too much ice.

Barragan throws another Ice Beam down her gullet, hoping to freeze her, Uro flights back weakly with a Pursuit, but the hit does far less than she would approve of. Her energy is damn near gone too...how can that be?

One more hefty Ice Beam, and Uro lies there, panting. Ice covers her arms and her legs, but she still strives forward! She bites down and manages to take down the phantom at last!

With each combatant on the board, the match is at a rudimentary stalemate. Each picks out their third Pokemon to resume teh match, and on the onset, it seems to be a mismatch. A Munchlax vs a Venusaur. Saur laughs at its attacker, and reaches for an Ingrain root with a solitary vine. This way movement wouldn't be hindered.

Big Show didn't take that lightly at all, and threw an Icy Wind right for the Venusaur. Yeah laugh now. (+2)

Saur groans, but knows this is only the beginning. He settles down, and allows the chubby Pokemon to bounce on his side, trying to Body Slam him. Well the hit worked, but it also gave Saur enough time to wrap seeds around Munchlax via some well laid vines. (+4)

Big show didn't get why this Pokemon wasn't actually attacking. Maybe all this water was messing with its depth perception. So he made the best of it, and let loose a Thunder. It shot through the mist and rain, reaching Venusaur in no time. This strike was weakened though, as Saur took careful aim, and then lashed out a few vines laced with powder. They stuck all around Big Show, cutting grooves in the earth.

Big Show looked around after the assault, to see not a single vine hit him. But the air was so chock full of dust that the vines broke free.....it was making him sleepy...sleepy. (+2)

(Yer kidding right? Go look up Munchlax's base stats to Venu's base stats. I'm not even using their speed stat, I just know a Venusaur(a fully evolved Grass Type) is faster than a fat midgit)
