Heres a random one from me.

3 vs 3 (one at a time)

Only Bug type Pokemon allowed. Abilities are in effect.

Arena is a standard Indigo arena but with Long Grass and some overhanging trees around the edges. Although the trees dont crowd the arena they do lean in such a way to provide dense overhead foliage that would severely hinder repeated use of flying type attacks, (Damage/Entanglement etc) without causing an unfair obstacle to normal flying for Pokemon such as Butterfree etc. (Basically, stop Spamming Aerial Ace!)

I will start with Paras (M - Effect Spore)

That said, I'll send out Syracuse, my male heracross with @Swarm.

Syracuse, start by making a Substitute. Then use Swords Dance followed by Megahorn.

Ok Paras lets try Smash that Sub with a Psybeam. Wether it works or not i want you to release a cloud of Spore all around the arena and end with Protect.

See! More Indigo! Only we're right in a veritable forest. Low lying canopy, so its hard to move fast up there. And wow, I'm reffing for UC. How that for awesome. And...sheezus Grey how many matches you in?

Grey: You should know, you keep reffing them!

I guess so. Anyway, if I'm reading this right, its an all out bug match! Interesting. Out comes Paras, ready to show the world they're not simple weak little creatures...and to counter comes Syracuse, possibly the second famed bug bruiser species of the Pokeworld.

The match starts with Syracuse bashing his horn against a tree and shaving off enough bark to make into a Substitute. Paras is confused...and fires off a Psybeam. The beam bounces off the sub, and the Sub crumplers. Just like that

P: -5E ~~ Sy: -7E/-10H

Sub already demolished, the fighter decides to hype himself up He flexes a few times to get the point across that he's not to be messed with, but Paras doesn't care. He fires off a stream of dust that floats and stick to the immediate area.

Syracuse takes a deep breath...and instantly falls asleep. All brawn...

P: -3E ~~ Sy: -3E +2Atk Slp

Piece of cake. ..right. Paras erects a guard...but no. Syracuse just sleeps standing up.

Sleeping soundly was innate to Syracuse at the moment. Paras couldn't have asked for an easier target. As the larger bug slept,Paras scuttled over, and threw one of its many mushrooms at it. The shroom released a storm of spores that left an thin but potent electric lattice cracking around Syracuse.

The Heracross tilts back, and then slams his Horn on Paras's back, trying to crush him. Nasty Horn attack

P: -3E/-11H ~~ Sy: -5E Par

Glad that his foe was asleep, Paras now goes for a more potent way to hinder his foe. He stabs Heracross in between exoskeleton plates, and injects a potent poison. This injection starts to burn, and Hera swings his body about. Paras is punched across the arena, but the beast is still asleep. (-2)

P: -3E/-4H ~~ Sy: -5E Txc

Paras flips back over. He walks over to Syracuse, and then gains a look of fear, as Syracuse opens his eyes. Hera feels the poison in its body, as well as its muscles cramp from sort sort of paralysis. Jut what happened while it was asleep!

Seeing a free opportunity, Paras finishes up this round by mentally assaulting the Heracross with a Psybeam. (-1)

Lets try the Spore counter again for Megahorn. If hes Awake use Agility to dodge Stone Edge and end with a Psybeam. If he falls asleep its Psybeam x2.

Syra was pretty damn dangerous. Paras knew that, and steadied himself as the beast charged. The thick stream of dust flew right for the charging stag beetle, and hit him square in the eyes. Too bad the stag beetle didn't stop moving. That horn stabbed Paras in the back and speedily flung him into the base of a tree. Hard.

Paras weakly recovered to see Syracuse fall on his face. (-2)

P: -3E/-32H ~~ Sy: -10E Slp

Well, time to rack up the collateral damage. Paras first tries a Psybeam that aims for Syracuse's side. That way, if he wakes up he won't have a dead on target. Syracuse stays down, although that ht seemed to have stung a bit.(-2)

P: -5E ~~ Sy: -10H

Syr is assaulted with another mental beam, leaving him on his backside. Paras seems pleased with his work, clapping its pincers together hand and waving them joyously. (-2)

Knowing that any health ripped away from Syra is a good deal. So another Psybeam was fired at the massive beetle. He rolled over and managed to throw up a mass of energy. The blast went through the trees, and then spiraled back down to crash onto Paras. The orbs that crashed onto Paras each made a metallic slamming sound. (-3)

P: -5E/-6H ~~ Sy: -4E/-10H

Syracuse hisses, and finally stands up. Paras grounds himself from that strike, and dashes over while Syracuse gets a grip on is surroundings. All of a sudden, claws rake against his chest, and Syracuse falls backwards, as Paras stands there snickering.

I've never seen a Paras in orbit, but that Megahorn almost launched him there! (-3)

P: -6E/-32H ~~ Sy: -10E/-8H

Syracuse grunts, and lines himself to where Paras would have fallen. But the Heracross falls again. The Paras falls onto the horn of Hera, and tilts him over, and smiles as he slashes Hera in the eye! Oh how brutal! (-3)

Syracuse rushed in, feeling quite desperate right now. But Paras was not in the market for desperate wins. Even though he was struck first, a Psybeam, went out to counteract the thrusting Syracuse. (-4)

Syracuse however, darts in and gets the last hit. Paras falls over... but the poison does Syra in as well. (-4)

Ok well we will start off with a Sandstorm and follow that with Ominous wind and end on a Night Slash.

This bug battle picks up in intensity, as Both Competitors don't lose a eat. Commands are thrown out as Exodus and Scizor hit the ground. Scizor bones forth, wings humming inside that shiny crimson exoskelton. Speeding back and forth, Exodis finds it difficult to get a bead on its target, especially with the Sand picking up. But Scizor stops once the Sandstorm blows in. Exodus changes gears and fires a blast of light that catches Scizor's attention...confusing him. Mainly becasue the light went through the trees. (-1)

S: Cfn -4E ~~ Ex: -2E

As the granules tink off of Scizor's shell, the phantom tries for something else to cripple the bug with. Fire. Scizor spins in place, loving the sand, and dashed around in it. Exodus fires off a small ember of blue flame, but the Sands and the confused Scizor evade it, leaving it to be ripped apart by the sands. (-1)

S: Cfn -3E +2Spd ~~ Ex: -2E

Not pleased, Exodus readies himself for anything unexpected, but Scizor is quite the resilient one. Exodus had to go away. Creepy ghost. So he slashed at it. This Slash however, was not as powerful as it could have been, mainly because there was no energy boosting its power.
In any event, the attack flew through Ex, and Ex retaliated with a simple strike that didn't really both Scizor all that much. (-1)

Ok im confused.....Where did i take 5 damage? (Confusion im guessing?) So why did Sheddy only take 3 damage from a Super effective attack and Sandstorm? (Rock is Super-effective and ongoing effects do get through Wonderguard)

1) No, you took 5 dmg from Aerial Ace. Scizor is neutral to flying attacks
2) Sheddy was hit with Slash, yer confusion whipped out the wrong attack.
3) Sandstorm dmg doesn't double with Pokemon weak to it. Its a standard set amount.

Oh right....so Confusion picked a move that didnt hit. When you said 'Slash' i assumed 'Night Slash'. Sorry i didnt get that. And i forgot about Aerial ace lol

As Scizor starts to realize slowly, this bug that's always flying in its face, its not too friendly. The final straw comes when Mud is thrown all in his eyes for no apparent reason! Scizor breaks out of his confusion, and zips around to try and confuse Exodus, and to clear his vision.(-1)

S: -3E/-4H +2Spd ~~ Ex: -3E

Bloody quick now, Scizor speeds back to try and nail Exodus with a crazed power. The crimson streaks wings partially swipe their target as this dense area begins to snag and hook the speedy Pokemon's ascent and descent. Exodus falls back nonetheless from that blow and retaliates with a Hidden Power that's less than stellar..since it merely rolls off of the exoskeleton. (-1)

S: -5E ~~ Ex: -5E/-10H HP: Psn

Well that sucked! Exodus groans, but tries to keep its shell up in the positive(-1). That was becasue Scizor, in its speedy haste, crashed right into what he believed was Exodus and launched a bevy of wind at the tree branches. Thankful for the miss, Exodus capitalizes by flinging a ember of flame that scorches Scizor.

Scizor comes to a stop and wipes his eyes free of any more grit. A slight chill runs down his carapace and with two swift backward arm waves, he creates a wave of wind that throws Exodus backwards. The hits hurt, but Exodus rights himself and slides along the ground. More grit in Scizor's eyes! Dang it! (-1)

S: -8E/-4H -Acc~~ Ex: -3E/-16H

EWxodus however, is plum out of luck, as Scizor can still see him momentarily. That's all the time he needs to fling another Ominous Wind in the correct direction. Exodus is thrown about the heavily tree branching area, and gets stuck for a moment in said canopy.(-1). He breaks free and tries for another Mud-Slap, and manages to hit Scizors back, getting grit inside the exoskeleton.

S: -8E/-4H ~~ Ex: -3E/-16H

Grunting, Scizor goes to try and bring the phantombug down with a nasty strike. However, his blindness gets the best of him, and he BARELY misses Exodus. Exodus however, gets in a snag all his own when he speeds down for an Aerial Ace. The thicket catches him by the halo and he's yanked back-unable to complete said move.(-1)

Well, after breaking the branch that held it back, Exodus turned toward its opponent. But now there were 4 of them! Unfair! (-1) Shaking in irritation, Exodus released a burst of energy from its base that forced Mud to fly up at one of them, but the Scizor brigade merely laughed as one bit the dust.

S: -3E. +2 cl~~ Ex: -3E

Still not too perturbed about how this match is turning out thus far, Exodus finally gets physical. It floats over to another Scizor, whom raises its arms to block the incoming semi-blurry shape(-1) Claws of a ghastly feel rake against its steel skin, elimiating the clones since he found the real one. That was fine to Scizor as he spat in Exodus' deadface. (-2)

S: -3E/-4H ~~ Ex: -6E Txc

Exodus reels back, not pleased at all by that new radical. Poisoning was never good. Scizor strikes fast though, swinging wildly enough to catch Exodis within range of its Night Slash. The hit makes Ex bounce off the ground and fly back into a tree.(-1).

Ex floats up (-1) and tries to make amends to its form, linking with the crimson fighter and zapping health away. Its meager, but meager is better than nothing.

S: -7E/-3H ~~ Ex: -8E/+2H/-14H

The burn continues (3), and the Sandstorm ends, giving Ex some relief.
