Well, technically, I'm the challenge-ee, but I started the thread, so...

Arena: Hoenn Route 114

The route starts out on a path that leads from the west of Fallarbor Town, which is surrounded by four large patches of muddy earth. From there, we see the Fossil Maniac’s house to the north, as well as another path leading south, that has three small ponds. South of there is a much larger pond that has a large wooden log bridge leading across it.

In the pond there is a very small island with has a great tree. North of that island is a waterfall that leads to an elevated plateau that seems to be more water than land. All areas north of the pond are littered with medium-sized trees.

South of the pond we find a fair-sized grassy area that is filled with ledges, rocks, and tall grass that has wild Zangoose. These Zangoose may feel angered and will occasionally deal 5% Normal damage to Health to a Pokémon. On the northeast part of this grass area is Lanette’s house, and to the east there is loamy soil where one may find Persim Berries that can heal Confusion status.

Still south of the grassy area is a very mountainous area that has four different levels of elevation. There are a couple holes in the walls of this area that will shatter the walls if Secret Power makes contact with them. There is nothing but a small barren cave, roughly the size of Regirock, inside these walls. There are also smashable rocks on this mountainous area that a Pokémon could hide behind, but, of course, are easily breakable by moves of the types Rock is weak against that is at 40 power or higher.

Since I posted the thread, I will let nsmbwii go first, but I will send first.

Ahh Fallarbor. Maybe I'll get to see Flannery. She's hot :O Err anyway. over yonder there seems to be a Pokemon Battle that I can just pop in and ref. One of the two trainers I vaguely recognize, the other...never seen 'em before in m'life :O

But does that stop me? Heck naw! Its a Larvesta versus a Grimer to start..and the Grimer stinks like whoa. I'm over here in the hot springs and it smells like Nessie's poop. That stench overwhelmes Opossum for a moment as Smiler smacks it upside the head. Twitching, the bug crawls back and wriggles around...heating this town up.

Ahh that feels good. Sun + Hot springs=bliss

Sli: -4E ~~ Opo: -4E/-6H Sun: 7 act.

That didn't seem like it was going to be tolerated for long, as Opossum writhed back to get away from that bad smelling pile of waste. But this damn Pokemon was out for blood. He slithered in again as Opossum went to speed in. Fiery sparks filled the air, and Opossum barreled into a stinky poisonous fist.

The flames did catch Slimer with more intensity than he expected, and suffered a nasty burn because of it. (2/2)

Both Pokemon reeling, Slimer decides to use his non burned appendage. The attack comes with the same ferocity as its predecessor and Opossom bounces down the road a bit from its power. Safely out of ground zero for Stench, the Pokmeon takes a deep breath and tries to calm down. Probably a good idea, that smell can kill a planet. (1/1)

I had the right route, cause I was thinking of that one Firebreather on the mountain that's all Smokey the Bearish and like "Only you can prevent Forest Fires"...but yeah than the hot springs came into the picture for some reason.

With the sun on his back, Opossum loves his chances. He turns toward the sludge, and fires off a Psychic blasts that makers the stench covered beast's skin crawl. Slimer shakes off the feeling and counters with a super effective attack all its own. Fire. Fire rains on the poor bug, and gives him a nasty nasty shock of pain. Opossum runs, heading down and past some old guy with his roaring Poochyena.(1/1)

The heat wasn't making the burn any easier on Slimer. But with his quarry on the bridge, he felt it was time to take this to the water. He dropped off the edge of the bridge in one smelly flop, splashing into the water below. Poor fish. Opossom tried to help out by masking his impact a little more compact-a Psychic blast to his backside. (1/1)

Slimer tries to hide under the bridge, but no. Opossum was't having that. A third Psychic blast was released and pointed in a wide downward cone. The force hit Slimer, who groaned audibly. Pleased with his strikes, Opossum walked to one edge of the bridge and looked over, seeing Stench trails in the water. (1/1)

Sunlight still powering him, Opossum takes this opportunity to alight himself with a sunbeam that falls directly on the bridge. As he does this, the sludge atop the water shifts and moves to a more open position. Slimer looks up at the glistening bug, and decides to add fire to the mix. Flames dance all over Opossum, who runs away from the Sunbeam, back up the bridge towards the old man and his Poochyena. (1/1)

Discouraged that his healing was not as extensive as he would have liked, Opossum turs back toward the water, to see Slimer's oozing trial leading to shore. Did it already come ashore. Left yieled nothing for him to see. Right yielded a smelly swath of sludge to his face in a devious attack! Opossum backed away, blasting the area with a mental battalion that gave Slimer an immense headache. (1/1)

The sun fades finally, giving the wet Slimer a bit of a chill. Opossum fires another Psychic off to hinder him even more, and also to make some space between them. Slimer however, gives chase, and manages for a lunging punch that flips the bug head over heels! (1/1)

So the sunlight was gone. That didn't bother Slimer. He could still give that bug all the heat it could ever want! A new series of flaming streams were emitted; all lapping at the heels of the bug, whom needed the Flames to be fired before he could recite some mumbo jumbo and Shazam!

Opossum laughed, and Slimer wasn't sure why? Maybe he was going crazy? (1/1)

Slimer tries to keep the flames going, but he notices that they're starting to die out. The fire peters to little more than halitosis, and Slimer struggles to try and remember how to use it. Possum takes this brief interlude to relax a moment, and look around this Route for something.(1/1)

Wasting no time, Asu releases his next Pokemon, a small candle with a cute little emo face. But does Opossum care about cuteness? No. This was his match to win. Immediately, he spat out some of the very poison eating his innards right on the Litwick, who wriggled in disgust. Her Safeguard came into play just a little too late.

The initial sting of Toxic had a bit of a surprise effect on the candle, who now used its wax to try and disguise itself. But Opossum wasn't having any of that, and lunged out, using his small feet to smack the candle backwards. The hit landed but SoulSister vanished immediately after!

Opossum was prideful in having survived this long. Before the candle could muster enough undead flame, silky smooth threads wrapped around its waxy body. But Soul didn't have to move that much in order to release the highly thick cloud of smog. This smog gave Opossum a hefty defecit now. The strings had another effect. Opossum could see Soul's outline (2/1)

Feeling the sloth overcome him, Opossum just kept up the silly string tactic. Soul sneered at this, and launched a flicker of flames in the air, to further Captivate this foe. Her ploy worked, Opossum stunned by the brilliance of the flamers. (2/1)

Seemingly stuck on Silly String setting, Opossum laced Soul with another dousing of String. Unphazed, yet totally visible now, a Psychic wave rippled through the space diving the battlers. This uncanny force pinned Opossum to the walls for a moment,(2/1)

With all this sticky thread, Soul was really having a hard time moving. Time to fix that. She began to generate a large flame that encircled her body, and start to melt those silly strings. Opossum didn't like the looks of this, and tried to calm down. Incoming Litwick gernade however ends that calming streak, and sets Opossum on fire.(3/1).

The fire doesn't hurt as bad as it could have and Opossum rages forth with a thunderous blow to Sol's backside. Yeowch! That sends SoulSister up to the top of the Route.

That candle couldn't be allowed to get any faster. Taking the small advantage it did have, Opossum barreled forth and hit SoulSister again. But Soul was already flaming up by the time contact was made, so all she had to do was fling herself backwards. Waxy strings melted off even more! (3/1). Opossum stayed down, leaving the Litwick with something to smile about.

With no hesitation, nsmbwii throws out his second Pokemon in this match. Its a Trapinch with a nasty overbite. He growls, as Soulsister tries to find some fire his way, but the groundbug is fast. He manages to throw up a wall of dirt from the Route itself, and that absorbs the fire as it forms into a large Trapinch. Soulsister is not amused.(4).

Soulsister groans, and decides to try and appeal to the bug's charms. But does Chipper care? No. In fact, as the candle tries to attract the antlion, the beast chomps down harshly on the candle. That's gotta hurt!(4).

A tingling passes over Soulsister's eyes ans she falls to the ground. She wasnt sure if that was a kiss, but she WAS sure she wanted nothing more to do with Chipper. Too bad. Chipper was all about her now. A second chomp comes down with ferocity, leaving her stunned. Soul pulled her mind together and tried to cast a Hex on the grounded beast. The Sub shivered a bit, but still held form well.(4)

Even as that Trapinch darts out from behind its off color Substitute, Soulsister stands tall and calm. Even as those gritty teeth give her something to cry about, she doesn't. She stays calm.

Pushing her mind past the pain, she begins to take in a grand amount of solar energy. Her Elmo's flame burns bright now, and Chipper takes this as a sign to get her dead! A second chomp hampers the candle, but she holds on...now fully embodied in a hefty glow.(5).

Soulsister glares at Chippers Substitute....but her flame flickers out. The glow leaves, and she falls over in a short lump of wax and shame. Close one.

===Stipulations===

Arena: Hoenn Route 114

The route starts out on a path that leads from the west of Fallarbor Town, which is surrounded by four large patches of muddy earth. From there, we see the Fossil Maniac’s house to the north, as well as another path leading south, that has three small ponds. South of there is a much larger pond that has a large wooden log bridge leading across it.

In the pond there is a very small island with has a great tree. North of that island is a waterfall that leads to an elevated plateau that seems to be more water than land. All areas north of the pond are littered with medium-sized trees.

South of the pond we find a fair-sized grassy area that is filled with ledges, rocks, and tall grass that has wild Zangoose. These Zangoose may feel angered and will occasionally deal 5% Normal damage to Health to a Pokémon. On the northeast part of this grass area is Lanette’s house, and to the east there is loamy soil where one may find Persim Berries that can heal Confusion status.

Still south of the grassy area is a very mountainous area that has four different levels of elevation. There are a couple holes in the walls of this area that will shatter the walls if Secret Power makes contact with them. There is nothing but a small barren cave, roughly the size of Regirock, inside these walls. There are also smashable rocks on this mountainous area that a Pokémon could hide behind, but, of course, are easily breakable by moves of the types Rock is weak against that is at 40 power or higher.

Now things are getting interesting. Route 114 is about to get shaken up as Asu calls out a Drudriggon named Cassie. Cassie gives a short bellow. Chipper takes note of the newcomer, and of the fact hat its flying away. Well that's no good! With one scoop, he gathers up his Substitute and they give chase. As they cross the bridge, Chipper drops his sub when he sees all the water that's falling from the sky. Cassie sneers as it flies around, but Chipper puts an end to that. The sands from the nearby rocks start to pick up amidst the rain and soon the area is overpowered by a raging sandstorm. Chipper smirks as the sands force Cassie to land in a field away from the bridge. (-1)

As the storm rages along, Cassie walks slowly toward the bridge, ready to sink her claws into that annoying ant. The waters were still pretty choppy from that short rain and Cassie's Bellow catches Chipper off guard. The Surf washes the Sub away with little effort at all, Chipper watching with horror. But Cassie had a slight problem. All this sand was starting to clog her feet. She soon found herself stuck in place, with all these sands biting her Rough Skin. (-1)

Cassie swipes at the ground, and manages to free her feet. With this storm, it was getting hard to see. Chipper runs across the bridge, partially to avoid any more water attacks-and partially to get a better shot at her! A Signal Beam was what Cassie seemed to order as it crashed into her midsection (-1)

But Cassie lurched up and swiped hectically, Chipper's small body pinned under those claws. The raking sensation was a little more than Chipper wanted to feel at that point.
