Wolfsong vs. Blademaster Ref: Oslo.

Since one of my battles has ended.

2 vs. 2 (one out at a time)
We both send our first pokemon to the ref (when we get one) who will randomize who attacks first.
Banned moves: Rest, Attract, Perish song, and Destiny Bond
Arena: The Wolf’s Paw arena: Located in the middle of a grassy field is the arena in the shape of a Wolf’s Paw Print. The heel of the paw is filled with tall grass and trees. The first toe is a mixture of sand and dirt. The second toe is made up of ice. The third toe is water and the fourth is lava. Each of the claws is a small rock formation but the first one has a cave. This is den of the local wolf pack. There are three of them the Alpha (White) Beta (black) and Omega (silver). Most of the time they will leave you alone. This changes if you disturb them too much. Then one of them will come down and attack. For example, an occasional earthquake while might irritate them but they’ll let it slide. However constant use may cause one of them come down and attack for 5 hp damage. However, for every five rounds there is a small chance (5%) that the wolves might give a blessing. If the Omega appears (75% of that 5%) all pokemon on the field regain 10 energy points. If the Beta appears (24% of the 5%) all pokemon on the field gain 10 Health points. If the alpha appears (1% chance of the 5%) all pokemon gain both 10 health points and 10 energy points.

Good day, ladies and gents! Today, we find ourselves in the tall grass of Wolfsong’s signature arena, the Wolf’s Paw, as our two battlers approach. On one side, we have Wolfsong, veteran and battler extraordinaire. On the other, we have Blademaster, also a veteran and also a battler extraordinaire. Who will win and who will be sent home to wallow in misery and defeat and the sort of humiliation from which a soul can never return! I dunno, but let’s find out!

The match gets underway as Rick breathes out a heavy blanket of Smog. As the noxious gas rolls toward Nooz, he counters by kicking a heavy wind laced with some sort of shimmering powder. Nooz’s attack blows the Smog back to its source, causing Rick to cough a little bit as the smoke and silver stings his eyes. Fortunately, this is a well-ventilated area, so the gas disperses quickly.

Rick finds a tiny stone on the ground and begins sharpening his claws against it, increasing his battle prowess. Meanwhile, a third eye composed of pink energy materializes on Nooz’s forehead and opens up. It locks onto Rick with its inescapable gaze. But what could this mean?

Rick decides now to exact a little Payback. For what, exactly, nobody can say, but he bounds upon Nooz and tackles the birdie down to the ground with a weak dose of Dark-type energy. Pinned beneath the Skuntank’s weight, Nooz merely fires off a pulsating beam of energy. Suddenly, Rick’s world goes topsy-turvy as Confusion begins to addle his brain.

Nooz, use Telekinesis to hurl Rick into the wolves' den. Then use Night Shade, followed with a Psychic blast.

Rick, start off with a taunt to hopefully keep him from using telekinesis. Then follow that up with dark pulse and finish with sucker punch

Though Rick seems to be winning by a hair, he knows that Nooz has the potential to lay a serious smack down now that his Miracle Eye is open. Rick thus does his best to fight past the Confusion and lets out a rather unnecessary Taunt, saying that he’s going to wipe out Nooz just like smallpox and white colonial greed wiped out Nooz’s people. The poor birdie’s eyes go wide. No, say it ain’t so! In a blind rage, he lashes out at Rick with a minor swipe.

Nooz: <-2 EP; Tnt>

Grinning, Rick keeps battling past Confusion by attacking with a sudden beam of Dark-type energy. Poor Nooz is shot right out of the sky but uses his spherical shape to tumble gracefully upon colliding with the ground. He then sprints through the tall grasses until he has a clear line of sight with Rick and unleashes a sudden, ominous wave of energy; however, its damage is weakened by the Skuntank’s typing.

Anticipating an attack, Rick tries to go for a speedy Sucker Punch but Confusion is too much at this point. He starts banging his head against the ground, causing some unfortunate self-inflicted damage. At this point, Nooz decides to take ot the skies once more and, fluttering above Rick, he cuts loose with a powerful psionic assault. The attack sends Rick tumbling back into a tree, where he collides with a mighty thud.

The next round begins with a spot of luck for Rick as his Confusion ebbs away, leaving a clear mind in its wake. However, this proves to be quite a bad thing as his Frustration is severely depleted in strength since he’s losing only narrowly. As he lashes out with a series of physical swipes, Nooz picks up Rick with a Psychic attack and hurls him as far as he can. Rick lands in the short grass north of the heel. Nooz snickers and flies after him.

Nooz: <-6 HP; -7 EP>

Rick growls and shoots off a powerful ball of swirling shadows at Nooz, who braces himself against the hit but is still shot out of the sky. However, the Natu manages another graceful landing and continues the Psychic barrage. This time, he hoists Rick into the air and brings him slamming against the ground again and again in succession.

Nooz: <-12 HP; -7 EP>

Dark Pulse time! Remaining undeterred by these strong Psychic moves, Rick spews out another gleaming black energy spurt at Nooz. The Natu merely continues this strategy. This time, as a red glow envelops Rick and he’s hoisted into the air, he’s tossed into the first toe containing sand and dirt. Rick skids against the ground and pulls himself up to his feet, frowning as he realizes his Special Defence has taken a hit. Well, this certainly doesn't seem to be going his way.

Rick’s rather wicked Skuntank fangs begin crackling with Dark energy as he pounces upon Nooz and sinks his pearly whites into the poor Natu. Nooz lets out a pained wail and uses a Psychic blast to break free, sending the Skuntank skidding against the coarse sand and dirt that compose this particular toe. At this rate, it doesn’t look like Rick has much more gas in the tank. How long will he be able to hold on?

Pulling himself onto wobbly legs, Rick decides it’s time to end this. His entire body becomes cloaked in a piercing white light and he lets off an Explosion of tremendous strength, leaving a massive crater in the middle of the battlefield. Nooz is launched halfway across the battlefield and lands in the middle of the pool of water comprising the third toe. He lets out a weary cheep, not quite defeated just yet.

After the resounding force of that Explosion, a few wolves poke their head out of the wolves den and begin growling aggressively. Keep it up and it looks like they’ll probably attack.

As Nooz circles the drain, Wolfsong makes a new selection to hopefully finish the little buoyant birdie off. She releases a round little seal onto the field which begins beating its little flippers together joyfully. Aww! Catherine hops into the pool of water and begins swimming toward the center where Nooz still floats wearily. She tries to finish off the Natu with a sudden icy exhalation, but Nooz throws up a pink energy barrier around herself. The Frost Breath merely runs off Nooz’s Protective measure, rendered useless.

Catherine now claps her flippers together a little faster now and turns her head skyward. Soon, iron-grey clouds roll in and begin littering large, shining hailstones over the field. About two seconds of this treatment and Nooz is over it. She flaps her wings and takes flight once more, doing a couple of circles around the pool. The hail quickly subsides and is replaced by blazing sunlight. Catherine frowns. Well, this is certainly less fun!

Nooz: <-4 EP>

Glowing red, Nooz uses his Psychic powers to hoist Catherine up out of the water. Then, with a tremendous upswell of mental strength, he hurls the Spheal halfway across the battlefield toward the Wolf’s Den. Much to Catherine’s consternation, she smashes right into the face of the Alpha wolf. Growling, he raises one of his clawed paws and swipes at Catherine with every bit of effort he can muster. Nooz flies toward the Wolf’s Den, chortling like mad at his opponent’s misfortune, but one energy burst care of Catherine and Nooz enters into a tailspin. He collides with a boulder and is knocked out immediately.

To combat Wolfsong’s Spheal, Blademaster sends out a little chipper monkey into the sun-soaked battlefield. The wolves watch from nearby, ready to strike should they be disturbed. Seedy Sally starts things off with a crackling Thunderbolt, electrocuting her opponent to a nice medium-rare. Catherine goes the opposite route and puts her foe on ice as swells of snow blow in from outside the perimeter and chill the ickle Aipom to the bone.

Seedy Sally: <-14 HP; -8 EP>

Giggling, Seedy Sally bounds toward her opponent and throws her palm forward as though breaking bricks. Catherine tumbles down the rock formation to the grass at its base and growls. With a sudden surge of energy, she fires off a blue-white beam at Seedy Sally, throwing off the purple simian’s footing and sending her tumbling down below. The wolves peer down at them from above. And stay out!

Seedy Sally: <-10 HP; -6 EP>

As Catherine gets burnt to a crisp by Seedy Sally’s next Thunderbolt, she decides it’s time to mix a little offence and defence. She starts clapping her little flippers enthusiastically as clouds begin to roil in from the west. Tiny, jagged hailstones begin to riddle the field, aggravating poor Seedy Sally. For whatever reason, Catherine seems to be enjoying it.

The hailstones leave a number of nicks and cuts on Seedy Sally <-3 HP> while somehow restoring Catherine’s health by a hair <+3 HP>.

Seedy Sally looks up at the sky and decides to put an end to this friggin’ hailstorm. She slams her tail against the ground until the falling hailstones grow gradually more and more moist until a score of raindrops beat down against the field, kicking up a slight mist. Catherine unleashes a vivid purple energy attack that deals reasonable damage against Seedy Sally, but nothing to write home about.

Seedy Sally: <-7 HP; -4 EP>

Bring on the Thunder! Seedy Sally points her tail right at Catherine and attacks with a jagged bolt of electric current, which fries up the Spheal nicely. Mmm, is someone cooking seafood? Catherine, meanwhile, decides chilled monkey balls (idk) are on her menu tonight and she sends forth a cold, nipping Blizzard to turn this plan into reality. Seedy Sally huddles against the cold, wishing she’d brought a Snuggie into battle.

Seedy Sally executes Thunder: Part II and, like any good sequel, it keeps true to the original formula while bringing something new into the mix: Paralysis! Sparks flicker up and down Catherine’s body, impeding her movement. She tries to strike, but can’t quite manage it. Dang.
