IIRC, Ayeun's Gym is temporarily closed until she can wrangle a certain Legendary Pogey in the SZ. At the current pace her quest is progressing, it shouldn't take more than a couple of days.

Oslo is right. The gym was closed till I caught a certain something in the SZ... However, as it was only for reserve purposes...

New Gym:

Secret Garden!

Arena:

A secluded Chinese style garden, equipped with a pond, pagoda, bridges and rock paths.



Battle style:

Tournament style, Best out of 5 (subject to negotiation). Each team uses 1v1, and fight until one is defeated. The victor records a point, and both send out fresh combatants for the next round. This continues until the first team have 5 wins. Draws count as 0, so the match may go more than 9 combatants each. Pokemon that are recalled may not be used again in the gym.

After a battler is defeated, the VICTOR sends first, followed by the DEFEATED, who also ATTACKS first, despite the battle order previously.

Moves rules:

Rest and Pain split may only be used ONCE during the entire battle (Not per pokemon)! The move Ingrain will not work in the garden, but there are 5 (and ONLY 5) Ingrain roots already established, that any pokemon may grab on to at the cost of one action. Doing so grants that pokemon the benefit and drawback of Ingrain, and when that pokemon is defeated, the root retracts. Weather effecting moves will automatically fail to work, due to the fire suppression system, and abilities that affect the weather have no effect (eg: air lock and cloud nine).

Gym specials:

Fire suppression system, Ingrain bonuses (see above), Tournament style battle

Fire suppression system: A system implanted to protect the gardens. Has 6 settings. Starts at 0 (default).

0. No change. Battle acts as normal. The level of sun in this stage is equivalent to ‘Sunny day’.

1. Rain effect. Battle field under effect of Rain dance/Rain conditions.

2. Mist effect. Covers entire battle field.

3. Haze effect. Covers entire battle field.

4. Fog effect. Covers entire battle field in a thick layer of fog. Reduces accuracy by 50%.

5. Heavy Rain. Fire, ground and rock types take damage per turn. Solar beam takes an extra round to charge. Doubles the effect of Hydration, Water Dish, Swift Swim, and Dry skin. If thunder is used, its chance of being protected or Detected goes from 30% to 15%.

As stated above, weather moves, or abilities cannot be used, and attempting to use Defog during stages 2-4 will not removed the effect.

The system is activated AFTER any fire type move is used, and will go up one level for each fire type move used. It will remain at the setting it peaks at for 5 rounds, before defaulting down one level. This means that the first fire type move will still hit for normal damage, but subsequent moves will not. NOTE: The level's of the system STACK, so at level 3, you are also affected by level 2 AND level 1.

*Wolfy stands in silence as the two bicker.*

>.>..Uhh anyway. Boss is straight up starting the match. He completely ignores his trainer for the moment and snarls at the bird, who's taken aback. Fast plant. Shaking that threat off, Tony flaps his wings repetitively, forcing sharp winds to blow in here to his benefit.

Tony now goes for a fast attack. Eagles are nothing to mess with. Those hefty wings make a serious first impression, especially when they're throwing wind at you with such velocity that it prunes your edges. The Treegoblin shuffles and counters with an upheaval of the rock garden in one area, catching Tony and causing him to land for the moment.

Tony manages to work himself out of the rubble, and speeds right for the boss. Talons come out and he screeches at the top of his lungs. Rocks from his last hit come to his aid, as the Boss grabs ahold of Tony's throat to shut the bird up! A double Rock Tomb ensues, burying both Pokemon in a ton of rubble. Not the best of ways to start a match-locked in mortal combat with your enemy.

The pile of rubble that contains the two fighters starts to shift, and Boss is up first. He looks at the bird, and decides its about time to smash it down again. Rocks are shifted as Boss raises his hands, but what he spies underneath them gives him cause for worry. A wave of burgundy overtakes him and carries him high up...fast!

The rocks he commanded fall to the ground as Tony soars free-thankful the Tomb was lifted!

TD: -2E ~~ B: ACK!

Grabbed by his arms, Boss was unable to move, and Tony knew it. Flapping once, the mighty eagle turned into a nosedive, Boss resisting all the way down. Before they hit that rocky path of the garden, Tony let Boss go, allowing Boss to meet his rocky friends face first. The impact was incredible, as Boss skidded through the stones and ended up near the pond.

Pained, but not dissuaded, Boss stood up and angrily stomped around. Stones were finally flung up and clipped Tony's wings, forcing a landing.

Though not buried, Tony felt his wings were getting a beating, so he opted to make his strikes more painful. Before Boss finishes raising the stones above his head, Tony sweeps in and slices at Boss chest with those huge talons. The massive treegoblin falls backwards, but the rocks come with him.

Tony is struck from behind, and cries out as the rock keep him grounded once more.

All of those stones, and yet Tony still pokes his head out of the rubble, defiant as ever. Boss shakes off the pain of that last aerial strike and runs right back to the safety of the rock garden. Knowing what this entails, the eagle conjurs up a set of lightly colored orbs. Each orb is flung at the incoming brigade of stone. A few make it through the conglomerated mass and slap Boss across the face, but those stones once again keep Tony grounded

Boss keeps the pressure on Tony, as rocks continually hit his wings this matchup. Tucking them in to save them from being completely broken, Tony takes the next hit in stride, forcing his body to deal with the pressure of the strikes. His bulk rises, feathers ruffling from all the swelling.

The change in Tony's demeanor did not stop Boss from continuing his Rocky barrage. Even as Tony finally took one rock too many and shot up into the sky. Tony screeched his displeasure at this, but had no time to make an adequate counter as he was collided into with an impressively shocking force.

Both Pokemon were blasted forward from the impact, Boss crashing first on his back. Tony landed a few feet away, but hobbled over before falling to one side. One final upheaval of his hands, and Tony sent a last cascade of stones to wipe Tony out.

One down. Ayeun rejoices as Wolfy switches out her next Pokemon. A bladed foe appears, giving Ayeun a moment of pause. Snapping her fingers, she calls up a Cradily from the edge of the pond.

Jabin rubs his elblades while charging up. Messy wobbled in place as she forced the rocks up around her. Jab stopped approaching, and fired his Beam from afar, but the attack caused the floating rocks to fly and strike the assailant! Jabin tried to deflect them, but some got around his expert slices.

Messy recoiled from the Signal Beam, and whipped her tentacles out in swift fashion. Jabin was ready for the blow, extending his left hand. A wave of energy stopped those tentacles from reaching him, and gave Messy a nasty set of shivers.

Messy however, kept up the good fight and managed to strike Jabin from the left side. Jabin backs away another step, trying to keep Messy at blades' distance.

Jabin-still staying away from Messy-began to charge up the blast that he feels would give him a great advantage. Messy tries to regain some semblance of defense, and dislodges some more rocks from the garden. However, she's uprooted from the landscape by the force of the blast that Jabin unleashed on her base.

Even as she went skyward, Messy forced the rocks to slam down and pin Jabin in place. Too bad she crashed in the water though...

With Messy sinking into the depths, Jabin felt this match was in the bag. What's that weird plant going to do anyway? Imagine his surprise when the massive plant slides out from the lakebed, covered in seaweed no less. Immediately, he taunts her and her feeble attempts at attacking.

The see her rollin'. They hatin' :/. Messy swings her head back and forth, ticked off supremely.

Having her pissed off was more than enough pleasure for Jabin, as she swang her head to and fro. That pendulum motion became a tier for Jabin, as he released a second massive blast right on her base again. This time it was from the left, so she flew right-away from the water and into a poinsetta garden

Walking up toward her, Jabin began focusing more energy to rattle her mind with. Shaking with a sense of adrenaline induced rage, Jabin swung her tentacles out, striking Jabin. Jabin made sure to hold onto one of the pink wrigglies, and pull on it. Messy's head lolled toward Jabin, giving him perfect aim for the second Focus Blast.

Messy's not having a good go.

Jabin quietly focused, grabbing art wisps of air and converting them into pure power by sheer will alone. Messy caught wind of this, and pushed out an attack of rocky focus with all her might. This time the stones truck Jabin before she could get off the immense blast, but would it be enough?

No. Jabin's thrust released a huge ball of pure fighting energy that dispersed all over Messy. The Cradily was hit so hard that she was uprooted and landed in a heap at Ayeun's feet.

Switching gears, Wolfy now releases a femme fatale version of Jabin. Calleigh steps out, her gown flowing around peacefully. To counter the similar styled fighter, Ayeun calls upon a newer grass type. A few feet from Calleigh, away from the water, a brownish Pokemon rose up partially. It was disk shaped, mace like appendages connected to the ends of its vines.

It was these appendages that slammed into the earth, ripping pike free from the dirt and on a path for Calleigh. The psychic watched the incoming mine-and vanished before impact.

Spike crashed into the ground, shattering a few rocks in its wake. Calleigh reappeared in the same spot, looking down at the dirty metalmon.

Spike had no immediate defense as it recoiled its vines. As they whipped past, Calleigh let the vines pass through a wave of electrictiy she concocted. The retracting appendages brought the electricity to the base, and left the plant Pokemon crippled.

Spike shivered, but found itself. Grinding its maces into the ground, Spike began to rev up. Calleigh looked down to see this spinning force, and consequently was struck by the speeding Pokemon. Knocked off her feet Calleigh rolled over and threw a sweeping Focus Blast toward it. But the trajectory to the Blast was off, and sped past the Pokemon.

Calleigh was not going to stand for this! No really, she wasn't. Spike was zipping around the area, using her mace ends as axles to keep balanced as she careened toward her. Calleigh tried a Confuse Ray, but it just seemed to get caught up in the spinning steel matrix.

Another collision sent Calleigh to the ground hard, as Spike whirled around for another pass.

Calleigh once again removed herself from the ground, wiping dirt away. You know how hard it was to keep your skin clean of all this dirt. Aggravated, she threw her hands up and released a web of pink electricity. The web wrapped all around the steel Pokedisk-whom somehow made her way over the lake and was speeding over it. Paused by Calleigh, Spike just looked around. This was awkward.

Dropping her, Spike found her momentum gone, and her body causing her to sink. Those whips became useful to drag her out of the lake. Bt she ...ugh. she's coming towards me. I'm getting out of here before Calleigh--Oh jeez.

Calleigh fires a Focus Blast with no mercy-and this one connects. The plant is sent skyward, alnd lands with a few thuds along the grassy knoll

This match starts to heat up! Calleigh wells up more fighting spirit, akin to her kindred fighter side she never fully realized. To offset this faster adversary, Spike also wells up energy, but hers is more steel bound. Spike whips her out, right before the Focus Blast crashes down on her from above.

The Gyroball slowly floats over and strikes Calleigh as she recovers from the Blast she has thrown, giving her a shocking pain in her arms.

The pain of all these blasts were starting to build on Spike, and she needed a moment to breathe. That came in the form of paralysis. Good timing, as her body was unknowingly paused in place. Calleigh breathed heavily, hoping to stop this crazed steel trap.

Knowing there was a shot to slam another Focus Blast into this land mind-Calleigh bowled another growing blast. Spike flew backwards and yet-she whipped her vines toward the ground to avoid crashing harder than she needed to.

A second Gyro Ball finds itself Calleigh bond, and she smirks. The sphere seems remote enough, as a Focus Blast is fired to try and hamper her even more.

Spike takes the strike, but at the impact, the Gyro Ball speeds up and slams into Calleigh's face.

Fighting spheres were all Calleigh knew. I think she evolved the wrong way. Another hefty one was tossed at the incoming disk-smacking with a megaton force. The roller was launched from the blast, but managed to embed itself into a tree. She revved up and split the tree down the middle as she rolled out, speeding into Calleigh with extreme prejudice.

Being so close only meant that Spike was up to no good. With her vines she quickly wrapped herself around Calleigh. Calleigh freaked out, knowing this land mine was finally doing what she was shaped to do. A mental suggestion (ok, really a mental kick in the metal monsters mammypants) was used, but Spike deterred that blast...

BOOM!!

C: -7E/Not even.. ~~ S: >_O-30E/wiped

As the dust, rocks and other parts of this area of the garden now fall back toearth, Spike lands first, a burnt out husk. Caleigh falls second, bouncing off of a few stones adn ending up next to Wolfy. A massive crater exists where a large portion of flowers used to be..
