Yes, that's right. We need a new moderator for our Fanfiction forum. It's time to dust off that resume and show us why you deserve the position!

It's all pretty simple... just post your answers to a few simple questions below. Note that we're still deciding exactly how we'll be selecting the next moderator. We might select one of the applicants immediately, or we might do something a little more interesting. Either way, it'll be good.

Why do you want this position?
Because I love telling people what to do! No, seriously. I like being a leader, and I like this place.

What would be your strengths as a moderator?
I'm hard-working, as you've seen from my work with the E-zine and the website development. I'm really active on the forums, and I'm a competent writer, as well.

What would be your weaknesses as a moderator?
Well, I'm really obsessive sometimes. I might be a little overbearing with the rules. I can also be prone to rash judgments from time to time.

Do you have any additional comments?
In my profile, I had "Fanfiction Moderator Wannabe" listed as my occupation for years. Isn't that enough to prove I'm right for the job?

I didn't think you needed another mod. I thought that with the decline in the forums activity (not just fanfic, all over tpm) that three people could handle the job.
Although now that i say that, you're probably tons busy with the site revival Brian, so hmm.

I've never written a fic. Oh, unless you count Lapras Valley High. But it's nothing much. There were also some other on the side attempts, like Full Moon, Living in Pichu's House, etc.

Why do you want this position?
Few reasons.
1) because it was so much fun modding last time, and I do actually regret quitting.
2) I am all for a more active TPM and if by being mod, I can help contribute to that then heck yes (although I can contribute without being a mod).
3) It would be fun.

What would be your strengths as a moderator?
- Past experience as a fanfic mod.
- Been a part of the fanfic forum for seven years so more experience I guess
- I really do want to see TPM be active again, back to the days it once was, so I guess thats passionate about activity.
- I enjoy reading! And writing! woo!

What would be your weaknesses as a moderator?
- Gavin Luper.
- Time. Around assessments especially. Also, I find that I end up going away for weekends, and sometimes for weeks, and therefore don't have the time to access the computer. But this is mainly like over the New year period, then random weekends throughout the year. That would be the only issue.

Actually I don't know whether its fair of me to go again. Maybe someone else should be given the chance, like, fresh blood you know? *shrugs* But I figured, why not. It would be fun.

I think probably in terms of modding (ie. rule enforcement, monitoring threads, replying to PMs etc.) the three of us could probably cope these days. The main reason for having four mods is for the sheer number of projects we tend to run throughout the year, some of which coincide (eg. ongoing monthly E-zines, quarterly Writing Contests, regular Writing Sprints, Golden Pens, Silver Pencils, Hall of Fame) so we could end up spreading ourselves way too thin.

Plus, somewhere in among real life and modding, we want writing time!

Why do you want this position?
I've wanted to be a Moderator for a long time now; since Fanfic was what intially what drew me to TPM, I figured I'd do well here.

What would be your strengths as a moderator?
1. I'm probably the most active person on TPM after mr_pikachu, so any problems that would arise would be dealt with swiftly.
2. I don't jump into problems head-first - I'd consult the other Mods before making any potentially bad choices.
3. I'm always full of new ideas.
4. I'm lenient, and not a stickler. Unless you're causing trouble, don't expect me to be a hardass.

What would be your weaknesses as a moderator?
1. I'm lazy.
2. I have a temper.

Nothing that'll make me not sound desperate and/or self-absorbed, no.

More of an RPG'er but i have recently started Dragonball UC and failed with an attempt doing Sins of the Blood.

Why do you want this position?
I enjoyed my time moddingin RPG and feel as if its a way to be productive for the forum rather than just on the forum if you get my drift. I also enjoy keeping things in order without goin all dictator and bringing fresh ideas in.

What would be your strengths as a moderator?
Past experience as a Mod and a great lover of reading/writing despite a lack of great talent. Im also online pretty much 24/7 since i have little social life (so sad) so even if i dont post that much im usually floating around.

What would be your weaknesses as a moderator?
Making my presence felt as such. I had complaints in RPG that i was never around. I was i just didnt see the point posting when i didnt have an rpg nor had any interest in the ones posted so to avoid simply spamming 'fear me underlings!' as some ex mods did i just didnt post.

What would be your strengths as a moderator? I'm always on, maybe not at the computer, but I'm usually quick on the reply button. I think through, I can note when something in a fic doesn't make sense, and I have some experience writing so that others can understand (arguing with Fundies since 07). Most of all I give what everyone needs: Constructive Criticism (may not be nice, but not all of it is supposed to be). Oh, and sarcastic.
What would be your weaknesses as a moderator? I'm a Graduate Student, so I have little time I spend to the boards this semester with my current work load. Hopefully that will change. And I'm sarcastic.
