Because Oslo's reffing as much as I am, I figure I better get this battle up and started tonight even though I'm super tired. I'm here in the Shrine of the weeble wobble of Pokemon. This is a very awkward stage, and I hafta be careful, or I'll get struck with some shenanigans. Rossy however, is smiling. Oslo smirks at the prospect of this battle, and releases a Illumise whom is just as eager to give it a go. Out flies a Krabby from Rossy's side, and he starts the match with nothing more than a dance around the arena. The mountain is freshly littered with snow, allowing for hardened mud to fly up and around. Scuttle snaps its pincers, and Claudia starts to whimper. With no real reason, she starts crying! I'm calling shenanigans, but now Scuttle is feeling self conscious.

CB: -3E ~~ Sc: -3E -2 SpD Ele resist.

Peeking from her false sobs, Claudia spies the self conscious Scuttle lowering his guard. She drops her hands, and gathers her breath. The Krabby looks at her, and instantly realizes its a ruse. He quickly jumps back and raises his arms to ward off any attack, and skitters back and forth. The dancing crab however, is bathed in a calming green glow, but there's no happiness with this glow. Well, maybe for Claudia, if she was hurt...

As the drain ended, Scuttle ran right for the bug, enraged. One claw shot upward, and Claudia stepped back to evade the strike. She learned quick it was a ruse, as Scuttle jabbed his right forearm forward, catching her directly in her gut. She bent over and found her self, feet spreading low enough to steady herself. Scuttle had no chance, as she grabbed that extended arm and flung the crab toward the Wobbuffet shrine! The beast crashed against its wall, and stayed there, pained.

It was at that moment that Scuttle felt a weird magenta halo encumbering its form. The blessed shrine looked down upon him, granting his Special reflective abilities... for a set period...

The shrine now gives its miraculous powers to Claudia, who feels somehow the shrine is spiting her. No matter. She curtseys...and shows off a little more leg than usually shown. Her body sunddly is crushed under the weight of a bunch of rocks Scuttle had tossed in the air, unknowingly ignoring her charms.

Scuttles pincers start clacking in approval of this smash fest. But Claudia's desperate attempt at getting out..the fair damsel in distress routine..it tugged at his heartstrings. Awwww (-1)

Being helped by her assailant was a strange feeling for Claudia. She took a moment to pat the small crab atop his head. Leaving her hand on his carapace, she affixed a grip, and began siphoning as much health as she could from that renegade seafood dish.

She has a crab clinging to her.

Oh that's enough to give any girl shivers. She immediately tells him to Buzz off(-1), and he just flops around!

I guess Scuttle is finally realizing love stinks. Or maybe he wants to dream of the perfect relationship. In any event, he ignores the pain she delivers with a second Buzz, and falls asleep. All of a sudden, his pains and troubles go away...

With no one but Claudia to recieve the blessing, she finds herself thinking she should try the same thing on the next competitor.

With no delay and with no regard for what her trainer asked of her, Claudia begins buzzing like mad. It doesn't even matter if its toward a Metang, or me or ever her own trainer, she's just in a Buzzing fit! (-1) Methink's the shrine is getting to her.

Blockade, having just entered the fray, is a little disturbed but none the worse for wear. A nice thin shield defers those wavelengths so they cause him no harm at all. (-1)

She really can't stop buzzing. No...seriously. Its bad now because Blockade realizes this, and lets loose with a thunderous cavalcade of stone from the shrine walls! Claudia is now mismatched pretty bad, as she musters the strength to stand.(-1)

It's getting louder. Man, she's really putting the Buzzword on us today! Blockade ignores the irritating sound, and once again fires off the hectic blast of rock. This time, Claudia doesn't seem to move from the rubble. The sound has been silenced. (-1)

Blockade looks around itself as a strange halo now engulfs it. Its a strange sensation, as it floats around, welcoming this destined change.

Blockade slams its fist into an open palm and glared at the bug. Claudia seemed unnerved, but her energy was rapidly waning. She started to crackle, but a swift punch from the beast knocked her backwards and on her stomach.(-1) She manages to stand back up and cough up a spark of energy to cripple the beast.

Blockade grunts, realizing he has no more attacks issued to him. In the lieu of this mishap, Blockade tried to fling itself skyward. (-1) But Claudia grunted, and let out a loud hum that gave Blockade a great annoyance.

The buzzing gave Blockade a headache, and spun on its side like a flipped coin. Paralysis has some funny side effects.(-1)

Wow. With the release of Ragemuffin, this marks the first time I've reffed for a Poliwag in over a year. Crazy. Anyway-to the match. Block over here pushes itself from a settled point and begins to shimmer brightly. The energy being released seems to also shed the powerful paralysis.

This gives Ragemuffin the time to slam Blockade right to eye level with a massive deluge of Mud. I dun even wanna know where that mud came from.

RM: -6E ~~ Bl: -5E/-13H

Still quite aware of its surroundings, Blockade takes the moment to acquaint Rage with his fist-and the electric power inherent. The meeting was quite..conductive to Rage's understanding, and he backed up, energized from the event.

Too energized, as a strange outburst left teh 'wag. Blockade questioned the effect of this energy, but felt none on its person.

RM: -4E/-12H ~~ Bl: -6E

Blockade then tried for a refresher course in Thunderpunch 101, only to realize that since he Ragemuffin passed the class, he didn't need to take it again. Astounded that his move was stunted, Blockade didn't even see the stream of water until it was too late. Overheated metal disc now streaks across the sky to cool off.

Ragemuffin takes a bow, and stares as the shrine. The blessing is now bestowed upon him. He seems cheerful about it.

The shrine seemed to be reveling in the ingenuity employed here today. Blockade thrust itself skyward with those powerful forearms, and used its perfectly proportioned body to balance along the EMF currents of the world.

While floating in the air, the wily Poliwag blasted off a few streams of bubbles, that popped under the behemoth. Blockade wobbled but did not lower in altitude.

MR: 6 act

Pleased to be floating around, Blockade now swept in for the offensive. This move turned out to be defensive, as a Mod Bomb flew over its carapace. Rage gave a face indicative of its name, as the beast flew up and lightened the place up! The bright sun gave Poli something to think about.

Sun: 7 act.

With warmth on its steel plated back, Blockade now felt empowered. SO what if that thing was blessed by this shrine. It had the upper hand now. With that calculating mind, the mental foretress bombarded Rage with a series of highly disturbing thoughts. Rage tried to shake him out of his mind, but couldn't.

The pain of those images threw Rage's logic out the window, and he screamed in defiace. All at once, the mountaintop began to quiver, and massive blasts of water jutted from ancient volcanic dike lines! Blockade was struck from the back and forced close to the ground in lieu of this.

As sunlight glistens the water that was splashed upon the statue of the Wobbuffet, its indicative effect was passed to Blockade.

The weather seemed to prefer Ragemffin's entitlement. His small cries allowed for a storm to brew and shed its weight all over the area. Unphazed by the weather, Blockade quickly raised a shield to defend against any slick effects that tadpole may unleash

The tadpole didn't care. There was going to be heck to pay a powerful section of water fell from a singular cloud, ramming the floating disc to the ground. Bobbing back up as if it was a bouy, Blockade shook off the strike and blasted the Poliwag with another Psychic interruption.

Close, but no cigar, And now Rage seemed to be happy about his achievement so far. Even as the mental batallion came out and randered his mind to mush, there seemed to no breaking of his spirit! He hooted and hollered and spun his swirl pattern in defiance to the great Blockade!

The survival bond gone, Blockade saw this was not going to work in its favor if things did not work out well. Meanwhile, Ragemuffin was showered in...applause?
