We both post our team of six, and the ref chooses randomly which Pokemon each trainer uses. The trainers can have either their own or their opponent's Pokemon.

Arena: The Abandoned Factory

The abandoned factory is, well, an abandoned factory. There isn't a lot to it - there are beams on the ceilling that are perfect for flying types to perch on, and all of the doors are locked so there isn't access outside. There are a few large holes in the roof to allow weather conditions through, and up in the rafters is a family of Zubats that may awaken and attack if the room becomes too bright.

The abandoned factory is, well, an abandoned factory. There isn't a lot to it - there are beams on the ceilling that are perfect for flying types to perch on, and all of the doors are locked so there isn't access outside. There are a few large holes in the roof to allow weather conditions through, and up in the rafters is a family of Zubats that may awaken and attack if the room becomes too bright.


It's a great day in who-knows-what-city as we meet in an abandoned factory that most people don't seem to know about.

There are, conveniently, two entrances on two opposite sides, and our battlers enter from those very entrances.

on the sidelines of our arena, there is a small table that houses 12 pokeballs. Our battlers have randomly chosen 2 of the 12 pokeballs, and now it is time to send them out. Let's begin!

Freezeframe starts things out by Releasing a powerful Electric shock. Carrion is about to get hit, when suddenly, *whoosh*, she disappears. Freezeframe looks around, however slowly, when Carrion comes out of NOWHERE and tackles him/her from behind.

Freezeframe begins to loaf around, whatever THAT means, while Carrion simply starts devising a plan that is OH so devious.

Even though carrion just got a special attack boost, she decides instead to go physical for a punch. She manages to punch Freezeframe for an average amount of damage before he/she is able to do anything, but before Carrion can move away, Freezeframe launches a point-blank Ice beam... Wait, what's happening? Oh. My. God. Carrion is FROZEN! That point-blank Ice Beam actually managed to Freeze Carrion SOLID!

-Trying out a slightly (Like, so slight I doubt you can tell xD) different Reffing style than what I normally do, and I hope it makes a difference.
-Blame the RNG for Carrion being frozen, not me!
-Freezing: Ice moves (among a few others) have a chance to completely immobilize your opponent, rendering them helpless to the onslaught of attacks you may wish to encumber them with. Most any fire move will help you thaw out however-so it would be wise to remember that.

Carrion Sits there, virtually an Ice sculpture, while FreezeFrame also just sits there.... Makes you just wonder how we are here, you know? Facts of life and all that? What if we were all really hand-crafted by som- Oh, wait! Something's happening! An orb begins to form in front of Carrion's beak, succeeding in melting enough ice to free her! She then throws the orb up through a hole in a ceiling, and the clouds clear to show a bright and sunny day.

However, the zubat hanging the ceiling are beginning to stir. You might not wanna startle them any more.

Carrion and FreezeFrame both launch off their attacks-Thunder and Dark Pulse- and the attacks collide And create an explosion that's both Incredibly Bright and Incredibly Dark at the same time. Kind of like reading this one fanfiction I read a few weeks ago... weird. Anyway, neither of our battlers are damaged by the explosion, but the Zubat hanging on the ceiling sure find a problem with that explosion. From the skies above, an entire swarm of zubats descends on our battlers, hitting them with air slashes and bites. Throughout the onslaught, some zubats fly out from the ceiling holes, but there are still A LOT of zubat left.

[Field Effects: Sunny Day (4 turns); Swarm (Power level: 7)]


Through the Onslaught of Air slashes and bites, Freezeframe seems rather indifferent, while Carrion attempts to hit him even through all the real attackers. However, some zubat manage to get in the way and get taken out.
The swarm, however, continue attacking once more as some more fly out from the holes in the ceiling.

Round 3

Maybe we can get more productive this time around. Freezeframe decides to do something by firing off an ice beam. The attack speeds towards Carrion, past the zubat that fill the void, and... Carrion disappears. Freezeframe sits there in ignorant bliss while Carrion appears out of nowhere and tackles him. The zubat continue their onslaught while even more leave, leaving only a few to continue the attack.

At this point, our battlers are simply ignoring the remaining zubat while Carrion begins to think of a nasty deed. Meanwhile, Freezeframe is... Derping. No, seriously, his eyes are all derpy, and it's kind of creeping me out. Before long, the remain zubat leave, and Carrion finalizes his dastardly plot.

Now for the REAL action to begin. With all obstructions gone for the moment, our battlers can let loose with their attacks. Carrion lets loose a flurry of dark rings, while Freezeframe... flinches in fear. Apparently that dark pulse is more ominous and frightening than many of us would realize. Cringing in fear, Freezeframe is left vulnerable while the dark rings strike him dead on, dealing a considerable amount of damage.
Meanwhile, the skies darken as the sunny day is muddled up by clouds.

Freezeframe here is just derping away while Carrion fires a flurry of rings at him. Dang, that truancy sure is rough. At least Cynder won't have to worry about the EVIL flinch this time around.

Even the turns where freezeframe DOES something seem rather uneventful. The sloth in question fires off a cold beam of energy, but Carrion just disappears into thin air - like we haven't seen THAT already - and reappears behind Freezeframe to tackle him.

At this point, I think Carrion's seriously being infected with Freezeframe's laziness, because the both of them decide to just sit there and do nothing... although Carrion does look to be actually gaining something from just sitting there.
